“I thought the two of you might visit one of Richard’s Manhattan clubs, sort of a test run.”
“What sort of test run?”
“Just pop in, have a couple of drinks. Look around while you are there, and leave. That will be enough. Richard videotapes everywhere, so someone is bound to recognize the two of you. Ashleigh especially, we hope, and that will get back to Richard.”
“And?”
“Wait and see. Then, we’d like you to go out and visit one of his Los Angeles area clubs. This new deal of yours in Vegas will make it easier to get you both to L.A. without arousing suspicions.”
“I do have some studio time in L.A already booked.”
“Perfect. That will make it easier getting you both out there.”
Ashleigh walked closer and joined the two men as she tried to feign her ignorance of their conversation. “I don’t like the look of this. Whatever you are talking about looks serious.”
“It’s nothing, love. Keller and I were merely discussing how well you took to shooting.”
“I was simply telling Max you two will be going to one of Richard’s clubs here tomorrow night. No big deal. All you’ll do is walk in, have a couple of drinks, and leave.”
I glanced toward Max, seeing if he would confess the truth. “That’s it, sweetheart, just like he said. In and out, nothing more.”
Should I be mad that he’s hiding things from me? What else is he not telling me? “I guess I can handle that.” I replied, eyeing them both suspiciously. “Can we leave if there isn’t anything else, Agent Keller?”
“Of course. I’ll be in touch with further details. Max will take you shopping for some appropriate attire before then.”
“What sort of attire?”
“Come on, love, let’s get out of here, okay?” Max walked me outside to a waiting car and helped me in. Getting in beside me, he closed the door and sat back. “Would you like to go to lunch?” He glanced over toward me. I was sitting with my head against the back of the seat. “You okay, love?”
“I’ve got a splitting headache. I don’t know how, since we had ear protection.” I kept my eyes closed as I spoke.
He reached over and took my hand. “It’s probably tension, that’s all. We’ll go home so you can take something and lay down for a while.”
“That sounds wonderful. Max? I love the way you refer to the apartment as home.” I smiled at him, my eyes still closed as I squeezed his hand.
He leaned over and kissed me on the cheek. “I think with as much time as we’ve been spending together lately, perhaps we should think about my moving in with you on a more permanent basis…if you’re ready for that, my love?”
I opened my eyes and looked at him. A smile crossed over my face. “Yes, I am, and I think this conversation definitely warrants further discussion once my damn head stops hurting!”
“Let’s get you home, then.” He leaned back over brushed my lips lightly with his.
Once inside the apartment, I took something to ease my headache. Max insisted I go lay down in order to be more comfortable. Sitting next to me on the edge of the bed, he announced, “I think I’ll go out for a while. I’ll pick something up for dinner, unless you’d like to go out?”
“You don’t need to leave, Max. Just close the door. I should be fine in about an hour.” I stared at him before closing my eyes. “But dinner in would be an excellent choice. There’s plenty here to hold us over until then. Surprise me, okay?”
“I will, my love. I’ll be back in a little while. If you need anything, remember there’s an agent outside in the hall, and I have my phone.” He kissed me, pushed to his feet, and quietly left me to sleep.
Waking a couple hours later, I lay quietly in the middle of the bed. Glancing over at the clock on the bedside table, I noticed it was now midafternoon. The place sounded quiet. I wonder if Max has gotten back.
Swinging my legs over the side, I stretched and exited the bedroom. My headache seemed to have subsided. Nearing the living room, I heard a noise coming from the kitchen, followed by cussing. It was Max, and he was cursing with a thick brogue. I smiled to myself, wondering what he’d done.
The next thing I knew, he bolted out the door, an angry look consuming his face. He halted as soon as he saw me standing there.
“What in sam hill did you do, Max?” I laughed as I stopped next to him. “I don’t think I’ve ever heard you cuss like that. Not even about Lisa.”
“I broke a bloody bottle of red wine on the kitchen floor. I think I got all the glass up, but don’t go in there barefoot until I’m sure.” I wrapped my arms around his waist as he drew me close and kissed me gently. “I’m sorry, love. I didn’t wake you with my outburst, did I? How’s your headache?” He pressed his lips to the top of my head.
“My headache is pretty much gone, and you didn’t wake me up.” I replied as I nuzzled his neck. “Is there anything I can do to help?”
“No, but you can come sit down. Can I get you something before I go back to my mess?”
“A glass of water would be great for now.” I sat on the overstuffed sofa and curiously eyed some packages sitting in a chair across from me. Max quickly grabbed them from their perch and moved them. “What’d you get?”
“Nothing, just stuff to go with dinner,” he replied, out of my line of sight. “Right back with your water.”
Max returned a few minutes later with a glass and a plate of cheese and crackers. “Here you go, love. I thought you could use something to eat.” He handed me the glass and placed the plate next to me on the couch.
“Thanks.” I replied, taking a sip. “Sit?”
“In a minute, let me go finish cleaning up. Hopefully, I can open another bottle without it slamming on the floor.” He smiled, shaking his head as he walked toward the kitchen.
A short time later, Max returned with two glasses of Cabernet and handed me one as he sat down. “Everything okay?” I asked, accepting the goblet.
He nodded, putting his arm around my shoulders. “It is now,” he replied, pulling me close. “I don’t know about you, but I will be glad to get back to Atlanta.”
“Yes, I would be happy if we could stay in one spot for a couple of weeks. But I know that won’t happen.” I turned and looked back at him. “Were you serious about moving into my place?”
“Mmmm, quite serious, my love, but I don’t want you to feel like you’re under any pressure. If you don’t think it’s the right time yet, I will understand, you know.”
“I know it’s a little quick and all, but I would really like for you to move in. I think it will be the next step for us. Besides, I don’t think I could sleep without you next to me.”
“Spoiled you, have I? Well get used to it, love, because I intend to do quite a bit of that.”
“Okay, then it’s settled. Now what was in those bags, Max? And don’t tell me stuff for dinner unless dinner comes from a boutique.”
“It’s a surprise, and you have to wait until after dinner,” he replied as a lustful grin crossed his face.
“Maxwell Frazier, you’re not getting off that easy.”
“Go on, if you can’t wait, everything is on the bed.” He sighed and took a long drink.
I walked back to the bedroom and removed the contents of the first bag. I pulled out a black lace thong with a matching bra…or what little of a bra there was. The next one contained a pair of black leather pants and a top made of black lace that was obviously see-through. The final box housed the highest pair of heels I’d ever held in my hand.
Knowing what the outfit was for, I tried to hide my disdain. I decided I would speak to Max about the choices before I formed an opinion. I turned around and found him leaning against the doorframe, watching me.
“I-I can’t wear this, Max. Not in public, anyway,” I stammered and tried not to look at him.
“Yes, you can, and you will. You’ll be fine, and I imagine you’ll look quite fetching in them.” he replied sternly, a glimpse of a smile
donning his face.
“I’ve never worn anything close to this, and these heels… I can’t walk in these.”
“You have this evening and tomorrow to practice in them, my love. Why don’t you try on everything?” He disappeared, leaving me to decide what to do.
A short time later, I appeared in the doorway, unsteady on my feet in the stilettos and dressed in the black outfit he had chosen. Max stood in front of the windows, his back turned to me, unaware I stood waiting on his approval.
“Max, sweetheart,” I whispered, unable to raise my voice any higher. He caught a brief glimpse of me in the reflection of the window and turned to face me as I started walking unevenly toward him.
“My God, Ashleigh, you’re beautiful. Come here, and let me look at you.” He ran his hands down the sides of my arms, around to my breasts, where he cupped them both in his hands. He moved on to my behind and pulled me tightly against him.
“I take it you like what you see?” I purred. I brushed my lips across his as he put one large hand on the side of my face, his mouth consuming mine. Our tongues met and explored each other, our passion rising.
“Oh yes, very much.” he breathily whispered. “See, was that so hard, sweetheart?”
“No, but don’t get too used to it. I will draw the line when it comes to certain things. I don't know why you and Keller are being so secretive. I don't like it. Not one bit.”
“Perhaps I can persuade you to think a little differently, love.” He kissed me deeply again before he released his grip on my rear. “Now, you had better change before I show you what you do to me, dressed like that.”
I eyed him curiously. “Go on, shoo before I rip them off and have my way with you. I think I need to get dinner for us before we get any more distracted.”
“You’re the one who wanted me to try everything on,” I stammered hotly as I walked out of the room.
I stripped down to the underwear and decided I would give Max a further taste of his own medicine, going back to find him. He was in the kitchen, gathering what he needed to prepare our meal. I quietly entered. I want some shock value on my side.
“Max, sweetheart, I thought you might want to see the rest of what you got me before I changed out of them.” I strutted closer to him as he turned around, leaving him no room to not see me.
Taking all of me in with his chocolate eyes, he twirled me around and then back to face him. As he wrapped his arms around me and fervidly began kissing me, his hands began to wander down to my behind. He pulled the thong to one side and made his way to my wet sex.
“Hmmm, I can see I need to purchase you more of these as you’ve soaked this one.” He pushed me gently against the counter top, facing away from him.
I heard the zipper on his pants and the sound of the fabric as he pushed them to the floor. He pressed himself against my backside, moving one hand around me as he began to rub my clit. I jumped at his touch before he inserted two fingers inside me, releasing the hot fluid.
Spreading my legs, he entered me from behind and began to hammer me hard with his cock. Thrusting harder and faster, he rubbed my wet, swollen nub as I groaned and lost myself in the bliss. My knees trembled as uncontrolled passion grew in me. My entire body quivered as I bucked against him, the climax shaking my core. I let out a scream as Max continued, until his own orgasm overtook him.
“Good, baby, that’s it, let it go.” He held on to me to steady my already weakened form.
I felt warm liquid dripping down my thighs as he slowly withdrew from me. He draped his body over my back as he nuzzled my neck and ear. “Damn baby, you came all over my hand. That was one hell of an orgasm you had.” He kissed the lobe as I nodded. He helped me upright before slapping me on the ass and pulling his jeans back on. “Now go get dressed, wench, or we’ll never have dinner tonight.” I squealed as I rushed out of the room.
* * * *
The following day, when we were to visit one of Richard’s New York City clubs, Agent Keller dropped by to check on us and make sure we were ready. I’m sure he was more concerned about my ability to pull off something of this nature—even if it was just as simple as going in for a couple of drinks.
He sat down in the living room on one of the wing back chairs and glanced from Max to me. “So,” he began, “the two of you are ready for this evening?”
“Absolutely,” Max replied. I watched him eye me as I was sitting stone-faced, looking off into space.
“Ashleigh?” Agent Keller asked. He watched me intently.
“Yes, of course I’m ready. I’ll be fine. Max and I have gone over everything in great length.” I stopped as I thought about our tryst in the kitchen the evening before.
Keller glanced over at Max.
“She’s fine. She’ll be a pro after this evening.”
The agent left after he discussed the details for that evening, leaving me in more of a panic than I had been.
Later that evening, as we stepped out of the limo upon our arrival at the club, Max took my fingers in his and squeezed in an effort to reassure me. I glanced at him and tried to smile.
“Just follow my lead, love, as we discussed.”
Approaching the doorman, Max—as directed by the agents—gave his name. As he had been there before to meet Richard, his name should be on file as a customer. The hunch proved to be right, and we were shown inside and taken to a darkened room. I held on tightly to Max’s hand, not sure what to expect.
A scantily clad woman seated us at a small table and took our drink order. I watched Max as he looked around the large, dark room. It was obvious some form of entertainment would happen at some point. He glanced over at me. I was a bit uneasy, but I was determined to hold my own. He had given me a glass of wine before we left in an effort to calm my nerves.
“Just breathe, sweetheart. You’re doing great.” He patted my hand, leaned over, and kissed me on the cheek. “I love you.”
That got the effect he must have wanted, as I slyly smiled toward him. “I love you, too, and really, I’m fine.”
The waitress brought our drinks and placed them on the table. I picked up my glass and took a long pull off the bourbon Max had ordered for me.
Then, from behind, a familiar voice spoke out. “Max, they told me you were here. I couldn’t believe it and came to see for myself.” The familiar grating sound of Lisa’s voice purred in Max’s direction. She moved next to him, dressed in a tight, slick-looking leather dress, which barely covered her.
She sneered her contempt at me. “Ashleigh, this is indeed a surprise. I would have never in a thousand years expected to see you here. Max must have introduced you to his kinky lifestyle.”
I sat up and eyed the young woman who stood next to my man. I surprised Max as well as myself with my next comment. “As a matter of fact, Lisa, he has. But what I want to know is what you’re doing here? Is this your new job?”
“Yes, I manage this place for Richard,” she replied, but before she continued, Max stepped into the conversation.
“I, um, was showing Ashleigh a couple of places we could come to when we’re in Manhattan. If that’s all, Lisa, I’d like to finish my drink with my fiancé here so that we can move on to our next destination.” He reached over and took my hand, his eyes moving between the two of us.
Lisa turned and left without so much as a word, but not before I caught a glimpse of her face. She was angry, her face flustered. “Very good, my love.” Max smiled over at me. “I think, however, we need to be on our way. I believe we’ve stirred things up enough for one night.”
With that, we casually finished our drinks and acted as though this was simply a stop among many for the evening. We marched toward the exit. I could feel his palm on the small of my back as he guided me out.
Just as we were within sight of the front door, Lisa came out of nowhere. “Max, Ashleigh! It would be rude of me to let you leave without giving you a tour of our establishment. I even made a private room available for you, should you require o
ne after I show you around.” She stood there, a devious grin on her face.
“Thanks Lisa, we appreciate your hospitality, but we’ll have to take a rain check. Perhaps another time?” Max replied, his arm protectively around my waist. I don’t trust her, and I’m afraid we’ll be trapped if we enter this private room she has set aside.
Instead, she took him by the other arm, leading us away from the exit. “I insist. I promise to give you the quick tour this time. It won’t take but a few minutes.”
Max glanced at me, obviously trying to assess the situation we were in. I decided we had better go along with it for now, not seeing an out. “Come on, Max. We can take a few minutes for a tour, and next time, you can give us the grand tour, Lisa.” I smiled at the younger woman and then at Max.
Pleased with herself, Lisa led us through the private club, explaining the different areas the building held. “I don’t know what Max has introduced you to, Ashleigh, but part of the club is purely for couple's sexual enjoyment, while another features BDSM. Nothing too hardcore, not at this club, but here we do have private rooms, or dungeons as they’re called, as well as shows and stuff.”
“Well, I don’t think we need to go there,” Max interjected. “What’s this couples area you spoke of?”
“It’s has a bar area, along with private rooms for couples to experiment or whatever. It gives them some spice they wouldn’t get at home, if you catch my drift. That might be a perfect place for you to introduce Ashleigh to the lifestyle Max.” She smiled wickedly at us.
We walked past an area, which seemed to intrigue Max, but Lisa ignored it. “What’s that area?” he asked, watching her face.
“Oh, that’s private. An office and that sort of stuff,” she replied as she led us on. When we returned to the front lobby, she once again prodded us, “Are you sure you wouldn’t like a private room Max?”
“While it’s most tempting, Lisa, we’re supposed to meet some people, and we’re running late. I don’t know about Max, but I’d love to next time.”
Max finally noticed the two agents who lingered in the immediate area. “Yes, in fact, I see them waiting on us. Next time, Lisa, and thank you for taking the time to show us around.”
