Destructive Luxe-A Luxe Novel: Book 2 Page 37

by H. Q. Frost

"No!" The disgust on her face almost makes me crack.

"It's not the same," I say simply and look at El who's grinning, staring at me like if her cousin weren't here she'd be shutting me up in ways I'd welcome. "Well, Pumpkin." I look back at the fake cousin. "Pleasure again," I lie before letting my gaze drift back to El. "Ready?"

Her sexy ass tugs on the jacket I got her and it physically makes my knuckles hurt because the restraint I'm using not to maul her is making my joints stiff.

When the apartment door closes, I grin at her. "Hi."

Once we're in that elevator I'm going to give her a preview of what our night together is going to be like.

"Hi. Did you bring the bike?" Her cute giggle makes my cock pulse. Her enthusiasm for my motorcycle is one of the sexiest things about her.

  "Yes I did."

She grins and giggles with a little bounce that almost has me saying fuck getting behind closed elevator doors, but it's only a few steps away. An old couple on the elevator puts the kibosh on my plans, but I suppose it's for the best because riding with this boner's going to be uncomfortable. We move to the wall of the elevator and I pull her back against me, landing her ass right where I need to draw attention away from, but she fits so perfect. I lean to her ear, pushing my nose through her hair that smells like the honeycomb I want to inhabit.

"You look beautiful, ZP," I whisper in her ear.

She pushes into me a little more while her head leans back onto my shoulder, giving me access to her long neck. I take a little nibble and not expecting it, she squeaks, drawing the attention of our elevator companions. Before the elderly couple turns to look, I stand up straight and remove my hands from her hips. As they turn back around, I push my face into her hair while silently chuckling.

El's phone starts to loudly ring Portishead's All Mine and she quickly pulls it from her pocket silencing it. Before she pushed it away I caught the name across the screen and I can't help but roll my eyes that she has that ringtone for Jacks.

Approaching my bike she says, "I'm gonna make a quick call, okay?" looking at me like she's really getting permission.

"Yeah." I nod in confusion. She doesn't need to ask me for permission to call her doucher fiancé.

Walking away from me, her hand lifts to her ear because she apparently can't hear him. When she does this her jacket rides up and those jeans are really low, I might even see her ass crack a little. I want to touch her, rub my hands all over her body. I'm going to make today's date legendary and maybe she'll tell Jacks to fuck off for once.

The new motorcycle was much more comfortable for a passenger, but her low pants slid lower when she sat. She tucked her shirt in and hoped her ass wouldn't hang out while they were on the road. To protect her hands from the whipping breeze, she kept them up the sides of Justin's coat. Their first stop was to the motorcycle shop to buy her gloves.

"What about these?" He picked up a black leather pair with two small bows at the wrist.

With a cutesy grin she giggled. "I don't want to be girly but I really like them."

"You are girly. You can be whatever you want on my back, ZP."

The woman behind the counter looked Justin over then glanced at Lilith.

"Find everything?" The annoyance in her tone went unnoticed by Lilith, but Justin immediately picked up on it.

  "Yeah." He held Lilith's hand.

When Lilith's phone started to ring with a call from one of the girls, she said, "I have to get this," and walked away from the register.

"Cute." The cashier wryly commented on the gloves and rolled her eyes.

"She likes to be fashionable when she strangles people." He shrugged. "Makes her not focus on the task so much as how cute she is."

The cashier locked eyes with him and smiled. "You come here a lot?"

"Every time I need something." Justin had no problem expressing his annoyance with the cashier in his scowl.

"I haven't seen you. You must not be here enough." She wet her bottom lip, trying too hard.

  "Not much to see here."

"Well you should come back and see me."

"Maybe my girlfriend will catch up with you, with her new gloves. You can help her break them in." He walked over to Lilith and she took the bag while still on the phone.

Hanging up, she apologized, "Sorry, that was one of my girls. I really wonder what they did before me." Her lips twisted at their incompetence.

"What'd anyone do before El? Lived miserably." He kissed her cheek and pulled his helmet on.

Lifting his visor, he helped her with the gloves and she stared at him with an enamored smile. When he noticed her smile, she saw the balls of his cheeks raise inside his helmet.

"We gotta go before it gets dark."

The quickly setting sun had him racing out of the city and to a desolate road that him and Kurt often raced each other on. When he pulled the bike off the road she glanced around at nothing but trees and pavement.

"Didn't really think about the darkness," he muttered looking up as he took his helmet off.

  "What're we doing?"

"You want to ride it?" His head nodded to the bike.

"Shut up!" she squealed, jumping off the seat.

"Not really good teaching conditions, that was a fuck up on my part. I'll take you to the track soon if you want."

"Yes I do, but I want you to show me right now!" The enthusiasm radiating from her made him smile. "Is it heavy? What if I drop it?" Worry set in on her face and his heart rate increased.

"You're going to see if you can hold it up, if you can't, you can't ride and I'll buy you a lighter bike."

Her arms flew around him, making him stumble back from the unexpected hug, but he held on tight, not wanting to let go.

  "Okay, show me!"

The backlight of his phone illuminated what he needed to show her, but dread and stupidity made him worry because it was almost complete darkness on the unlit road.

"El, maybe we should wait? It's really dark."

  "I'm not blind. There's a headlight."

"Yeah, but I didn't show you everything I wanted to."

"I won't dump your bike and if I do I'll buy you a new one."

"I'm not worried about the bike." His stern glare pegged her.

"I'll be fine. I get it. Throttle, brakes, shift, first, second, third. I won't go past third." She giggled.

The distress on his face made her frown a little; she didn't want him to worry about his bike. Pulling off the helmet she set it on the seat and slid her fingers into his hair.

"If you're not comfortable with it, I won't do it."

It was his out and he wanted to tell her no but the excitement she showed for riding was too much to openly deny.

"Are you comfortable? Are you confident? I mean more than you just want to ride a motorcycle. Do you feel like you know how to handle it?"

"I won't know until it's between my thighs."

"Is that how you test if you can handle things?" He laughed.

"Only big powerful things. I think that's how I tested you out." She smirked.

"You think you have a handle on that?"

"I know I have a handle on all of it." She licked his lips then pecked him and pulled away. "So you want to go then?" Getting back to the point, she turned away from him, leaving him and his massive erection to pout.

"Get on the bike," he said and her face lit up.

  "Are you sure?"

"If you are." There was no missing his skepticism so she quickly mounted the motorcycle. "Push it to the road." If she couldn't get it to the road he wasn't going to let her ride it.

She got it to the road, a lot easier than he expected and he was disappointed that plan failed.

"Is it too heavy?" he yelled over the rumble.

"No. What's it weigh? Eight hundred pounds?"

He reeled back a little; she was almost spot on.

"If I dropped it on my leg I might not be able to lift it up but I can hold it up."

Inhaling a deep breath, he looked away from her as she ignored his fret and looked down the road.

  "I won't go far."

Fighting through the stiffening of his body screaming it was a bad idea, he approached her. "Just ease off the clutch and give it gas, slow. Very slow, El. You hear me?"

With a grin and nod she inhaled deeply to calm the excitement threatening to ruin her concentration. The faceplate locked closed and her gaze directed to her path. Justin stepped away as his heart pounded.

The idea the bike would stall when she let off the clutch had him hoping she wouldn't master the transition because he could call it quits. It didn't stall and she slowly accelerated forward while she got the feel of the bike. While gliding at low speeds it only took a minute for her to get comfortable enough to accelerate over forty.

"Fuck," he groaned, squatting through the constricting of his chest. He kept his hands to his mouth and watched her terrified. "Jacks is going to fucking kill me. He'll murder me. I'll kill myself. I'm so fucking stupid."

When she went farther than he wanted her to he almost went running after her. Coming to a stop, Lilith looked around and laughed at the adrenaline her new found love coursed through her.

Figuring she couldn't turn the bike around, he headed for her but she maneuvered the machine in a U-turn and accelerated to speeds that froze him in fear as he watched on helplessly.

"I'm going to fuckin' kill her," he mumbled as his stomach twisted and his heart painfully beat in his chest.

Lilith went around him then stopped a few feet away. She looked over her shoulder and her hand slipped off the clutch stalling the bike. Relief chilled him and he jogged over to her while she dropped the kickstand and carefully leaned the bike.

"Did I break it?" She pulled her helmet off.

"No, you stalled it." His hands grabbed her face and he pulled her into a kiss that felt like a reunion of long lost lovers.

"Mmm." Her eyes blinked opened as she steadied herself from the dizzying kiss. "That was so much fun. I want to do it again, but in the daylight."

He was relieved to hear that.

"I don't want an animal to run out of the woods or something." She laughed. "I'd dump the bike for sure."

His stupid brain blurted the first thing he thought of, "You're so hot," and his lips crushed against hers.

  JUSTIN can't eradicate what awaits

We didn't spend the night together but I did explore her new tattoo and fucked her twice before taking her home. I didn't talk to her Sunday, but I know she was busy with Ashley's birthday… Which also means Jacks' birthday because I think they're twins, and though she wouldn't say it, I know that's why she didn't stay the night.

I wanted to text, I really wanted to hear her voice, but I get she has a life. Monday and Tuesday passed quickly and I hadn't heard from her. I'm desperate to talk to her but I think if she had the time she'd call me. I texted her twice and I've gotten no response. I have shit I want to tell her but it can wait until we talk, whenever that is.

Finally I get a text and it's not what I'm expecting. At all. It's actually pretty fucked up.

  EL: This isn't working out.

Of course I fucking call her and it goes directly to voicemail. I call Luxe and get thrown into a generalized mailbox after the chick at the counter told me she'd transfer me to El.

I'm sitting at my brother's and he's talking about fuel efficiency, shit I don't care about, but I should because I have a big case next week with an actress and her fuel efficient car catching fire. I can't stop thinking about El though. It's such bullshit and I don't understand what happened. I hadn't even fucking talked to her and the two texts I sent were simple. I think one said 'good morning' and the other said 'I miss you princess'. What the fuck isn't working out?

I'm leaning my face on my hands and I drop them to the table a little too rough.

"Jackass Justin," Barry mutters, going to get more beer. "What's got you hot now?"

"Nothing," I snap, yanking the beer from him; it's not his fucking business.

"Yeah well, anyway, there could be a number of elements. Have you even met with her?"

  "Who?"

"Rayne Bronson! Fuck, Jackass! You asked me to go over this with you!"

I scrub my scruffy face with my hands and stand. "Alright, I'm outta here." We can't have a conversation while I'm in this mood and he's only getting pissed off from it.

Pathetically, I keep looking at my phone on the drive home because I sent her another text asking her to please explain what happened. I've been doing this the past three days waiting to hear from her. Even before she half-assed dumped me, and I'm so pissed she's got me feeling this way.

The second I slam my hands on the steering wheel, my phone starts to ring making me jump. As I practically lunge for it I almost drop it to the passenger floor but luckily I gripped it.

Fucking hell! It's not even her and I have no idea who it is.

"Justin Borg," I growl into the phone.

"Mr. Borg, this is Rayne Bronson. I spoke to Paul Borg this morning and he said I should contact you. We need to get together to discuss the case before we step into court."

  "Right."

This woman is very rich, very famous, and very influential with other A-list celebrities. I need to get my shit together.

"When are you free? Perhaps this weekend?" I ask even though I'm hoping to be busy with El this weekend.

"No. I'm free right now and only now. I'll be flying to California in the morning and won't be back until Monday morning for the case."

"I could fax you or we could correspond through email," I suggest because I'm not fucking meeting up with her at the drop of a dime.

"No, I'd prefer if we met in person. I'm at the Peninsula. Meet me at the bar. Let's say forty minutes?"

Is she fucking serious! Who the fuck does this bitch think she is! Rayne Bronson I suppose.

"Forty minutes," I repeat like a good lackey.

  "Thank you, Mr. Borg."

Don't call me Mr. Borg, ya bitch. I hang up, tossing my phone and not giving a shit it bounces to the floor.

A man at the entrance of the bar stops me; he must be her security but I don't give a fuck because his hand is on my chest.

"I'm here to see Ms. Bronson. Justin Borg." Looking down at his hand, I cannot explain how badly I want to knock this guy out.

He looks over his shoulder at her and she nods with a wave. This woman is beautiful but she's got that typical Hollywood bullshit style. All plastic, knows she's hot, flaunts it.

As I head toward her table, I feel my phone vibrate and I don't hesitate to check it. I'm waiting on El and I'm fucking desperate here. The notification is an email and it's from Luxe. Thinking it's El, I open it and get the same notification I got when it told me El was offering sex.

  Son of a bitch.

I can't believe she really broke up with me over text and won't talk to me. This is pretty much confirmation we're broken up because she knows I wouldn't stand for her offering sex to other people.

Before I realize, I'm standing at Rayne's table and I don't have time to analyze this email or try and call El to ask her why the fuck she's dumping me like this.

"Mr. Borg." Rayne extends her hand.

"Justin," I say shaking her hand as I sit, pushing my phone into my pocket. This case needs all my attention and it's so divided right now I don't know if I can concentrate.

"You think I stand a chance?" The sexy laugh that comes from her assaults my ears in a good way.

You can take the dick out of an asshole, but you can't take the asshole out of a dick.

Locking my eyes on hers, I ease into a smile.

The bliss Justin left Lilith in that Saturday didn't last when she came face to face with Ian. Unable to take her happiness caused by another man, he began spouting ultimatums that she refused. When he broke down into tears, she didn't have it in her to storm out like she wanted to. On Sunday, for the sake of his birthday, Lilith forced
compassion, but it didn't stop Ian from acting irrationally as jealousy over Justin rotted inside him, making him as hateful as he was feeling.

Lilith's packed schedule Monday kept her from contacting Justin until she was out of work but Ian didn't give her an inch of space to breathe so when she attempted to respond to Justin's text, Ian started another fight. The fight continued the second they woke Tuesday morning and Lilith's phone was broken as she struggled to get it out of Ian's hands after he threatened to call Justin.

"Borg law, how may I direct your call?"

"Justin Borg, please," Lilith softly said into her office phone while glancing toward her open door.

"Thanks for contacting Borg Law. This is Pamela. Justin is in a meeting, is there something I can help you with?"

"Hi, Pam," Lilith quickly said. "Thi—"

"Lily, did you send Richie to get Alex?" When Ian appeared in her office, she quickly hung up the phone.

  "Yes, why?"

"I wanted Caesar to go," he snapped and stormed out of her office.

Tash's brows raised as she looked at Lilith who sighed, dropping her head to her desk. Stress and five dates consumed the rest of her day and by midnight when she arrived home, she was ready for bed.

Ian had a new cellphone for her, but dates kept her out of the office. And he didn't go out of his way to tell her or deliver it.

Still with no phone, after her last date, she caught a cab to Justin's.

"Can you wait just a minute?" she asked the cab driver.

After punching in the gate code, she ran to the door because she didn't want to leave the cabby waiting. After knocking three times, she tried the knob that turned and she nervously pushed it open.

"Justin?" she called out quietly and stepped into the dark house.

As much as she was telling her body to turn around and leave because it was technically breaking and entering, she wandered into his bedroom.

"Justin?" she softly said through the dark.

She walked into his kitchen and searched for a piece of paper.

Rare blind recognition rushed in with LILITH's breath

He does not have one piece of paper in this kitchen. He has nothing! I don't have a damn cellphone to contact him! Maybe I should write him a message in blood on his wall. I huff out loud at my dramatic thought.
