“This is all of my fault and I’m here to fix it,” Adika said to me.

“Fix what? You and I are done. Where is Kofi? Go fuck with him and leave us alone. I swear when you let me down I’m going to bite your fucking face off!” I yelled at her then she laughed.

“Yes, daddy, bite me!” she said then slapped her ass.

“Crazy damn female. I swear I’m not sticking my dick into another cat,” I said as another thorn entered my neck.

“Leave him alone,” Onya said then stood up.

“We know all about you and Sosa! We know everything and I bet you thought Izra was really falling for you. But let me let you in on a secret. I cursed him so that he could find your scent appealing. He didn’t like your scent at first but I was desperate for a pup,” Adika said.

“YOUR SMALL BRAIN, OLD ASS DID WHAT?” I yelled at her and she jumped.

“Not now, Izra. We’ll talk about this when we get home,” she answered.

“You’d better cast a spell or whatever it is that you do. That’s the only way you will get me to go home with you. I told you at first I didn’t like the bitch and you did this to me. Onya, stand back and away from her. She is crazy as hell. Adika, let me go!” I yelled at her. The vines disappeared then I fell to the floor.

Adika looked at me with an intense look on her face. I knew I hurt her, but I just couldn’t be involved with her anymore. The spark was gone.

“I love you and I’m not giving up,” she said to me.

“Bitch, you heard him, now leave!” Onya said to Adika.

“Both of y’all, just shut the hell up. Onya, if I were you I would just chill out. Out of all my years I have never seen a beast that wasn’t aggressive. I mean, you seriously fight like a toy dog. That cat right there will fuck you up. I’m only telling you this because I care about you,” I said to her. Onya backed away then Adika hissed at her.

“Oh, shit!” I said when Adika shifted into her large cat. She charged into Onya but Onya was already in beast form. They collided into each other then knocked over the nightstand and lamp. Growling and hissing filled the room. Onya’s fur flew everywhere as Adika clawed and bit her. Adika’s cat was faster and more aggressive than Onya’s wolf. I shifted into my beast then charged into them. I tried to pull them apart but Adika scratched my face. I growled at her then she hissed at me. She backed up into the corner with her back humped up and her long, black tail puffed out. Her sharp, white teeth sparkled then her eyes started to glow. She lifted up her paw then came down onto Onya’s face. Onya’s wolf whimpered in pain as blood dripped onto the white carpet.

I shifted back to human form. “Stop this shit now before I owe the hotel more money,” I shouted. Onya’s beast burst through the door then tipped over the cleaning lady’s cart. The humans in the hallway screamed as a big wolf being chased by a large, exotic cat ran down the hallway. I shifted then ran after them. Onya burst through the door to the stairwell. Adika’s cat leaped down the flight of stairs onto Onya’s back. Onya howled as Adika bit her. Adika’s tail wrapped around Onya’s neck then slammed her wolf into the wall. A few hotel workers came down the stairs then screamed when they saw our beasts. I collided into them to break them apart.

“There are no pets allowed in this hotel!” someone shouted.

“Those aren’t pets! You see how big those damn animals are? Someone in this hotel is into animal smuggling. Those are wild animals!” someone shouted as they ran past us. Onya got away from Adika then ran into the dining area. There looked to have been a special occasion for the humans. Adika jumped on the table then everyone screamed as they ran out of the dining room. Onya burst out of a window. Adika and I landed on the sidewalk following Onya. When I looked around, Onya was gone then Adika and I disappeared. When we reappeared we were in a different place, we were at Adika’s apartment. I shifted back to my human form then stared at her. Tears ran down her face as she stood in front of me naked.

“Muthafucka!” she screamed then slapped me as hard as she could. She tried to hit me again but I caught her by her neck. I lifted her up then growled at her as her feet dangled off the floor.

“You did this shit to me! I’m not a fucking lab rat! How are you going to practice spells and shit on me? I was your mate!” I yelled at her then dropped her onto the couch.

“I didn’t think it was going to be like this,” she said.

“Well, it is because I don’t feel shit for you even when I try to. You are full of surprises; you know that? I had to find out about you and Kofi, and now this spell shit. Suppose what you are saying about Onya is true. I was eating an enemy’s pussy and I stuck my dick in her. I betrayed my fucking pack, Adika!” I said to her.

“Stop yelling at me! I know what I did and I’m going to fix it. All I want is for you to dig deep down into your heart and forgive me. I’m willing to wait until you do if you can’t right now. I know how stubborn you are but I’m not giving up, Izra. Kofi was before your time in another life. A life where we lived on Egypt’s land. I can’t remember his touch or what he even feels like. I want my eternity with you. I don’t care about having a pup. All I want is you,” she said. I sat down next to her then she laid her head on my shoulder. “I’m so sorry,” she said.

“What are we going to do, Adika?” I asked her.

“You stay away from Onya,” she said then went into her bedroom. She came back out with shopping bags. “You took her shopping, too?” she asked throwing the bags at me.

“She didn’t have nothing here and your shit is a little too big for her,” I said to her. She crossed her arms.

“What are you trying to tell me, Izra?” she asked me.

“Nothing, Adika, damn. How mad is the pack at me before I return home?”

“You are staying here until we work us out. I don’t you want you running into Onya,” Adika said to me.

“I don’t know my mama but I for damn sure know your old ass isn’t her. I’m not staying here,” I said to her. She stood up.

“You can’t get out unless you are a warlock and got some type of magic going on,” she said to me. I opened up her apartment door and there was a brick wall in front of it.

“No, Adika! Hell no!” I said. I opened up all the windows and all of them were blocked.

“How am I going to hunt or make my jewelry? Kanya put an order in for more bracelets by the end of the month,” I said then she snapped her fingers. In front of me on the table was all of my supplies to make my jewelry and a tray of raw meat.

“That meat isn’t USDA approved,” I said to her then she giggled.

“That shit ain’t funny,” I said to her then cracked a smile. She picked the meat up then stuffed it inside her mouth.

“So, you don’t have to hunt for meat? Why were you hunting with Kofi then?” I asked her.

“I hunt with the rest of your pack brothers. Why does it matter with Kofi? He is a mated male and he doesn’t think about anyone else but Opal. I can’t believe you are accusing me of something. You don’t miss me?” she asked me. She was touching my heart all over again. I never stopped loving Adika; it was the trust that drove me away. The spark was gone but I still loved her.

“I don’t know,” I answered then grabbed a piece of meat. Adika’s stomach started to growl even after she ate half the tray meat. I looked at her then she stood up but I grabbed her hand.

“Why does your stomach sound like that? I know you aren’t hungry because you almost ate a whole tray of meat,” I said to her.

“Maybe I was just hungry. I’m getting tired so are you ready for bed? I hope you take a shower and wash her nasty scent off you,” she said to me then I growled at her. I got up then headed to the bathroom to shower. After my shower I dried off then headed to Adika’s bedroom. She changed the bed and the rest of her room.

“I saw you give her pleasure with your mouth on my bed through a vision,” Adika said, which angered me.

“You brought her here and you wanted me to give her pleasure. How
else was I going to get her pregnant? You think a wolf just smells a scent and not crave it? I couldn’t help that I wanted to taste her and it’s your fault. I don’t want to think about it anymore. You made a fool out of me,” I told her.

“You want to vent then let’s vent. I’ve been fighting hard for you and you don’t see that! Everyone is saying it’s my fault. I know it is but look at the bigger picture! I did all of this for you! I wasn’t thinking about nothing else but making you happy. I wanted a baby but I wanted to feel connected to you even more. I was desperate for a stronger bond with you, but don’t think I haven’t noticed how you changed after you realized I couldn’t carry your pups. I wanted to be normal. I always wanted to be normal but there is nothing normal about me. I have been with many males throughout my life but NONE of them made me feel the way you do,” she said to me. I felt something fall from my eye and it was a tear again.

“What are you doing to me, Adika?” I asked her.

“I’m expressing what real love is and the dumb shit we do because of it. I made a horrible mistake and I need you with me. I won’t bring up pup talk anymore. I’m complete with just you and I,” she said then hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her waist then squeezed her as hard as I could.

  Anik

“I’m not going to your party!” I screamed at Sosa. It had been over a week since I’d left Dayo and the rest of the pack. Every day Sosa made me regret it more and more. My stomach was a little bigger than before but not too much. My appetite was uncontrollable, and at times I found myself being nice to Sosa just so he could feed me more.

He grabbed me around my neck. “You will do what I say before I make you starve. Wear this pretty dress and comb your hair. You look like a wolf,” he said then walked out of the room.

“I am one, asshole, and you are, too!” I yelled behind him after he slammed the bedroom door. I was trapped inside the house because there were wolves roaming around his property. They were ordered to attack me and kill me if I left the house. Sosa had more of a wicked heart than Ula. I grabbed the dress then held it up to me in the mirror. I wasn’t even sure I could fit it.

“Pretty dress,” a voice said from behind me. When I turned around it was Ula dressed in an all-black gown that clung to her curves. Her make-up was beautiful and her hair was styled in big, loose curls that fell down her shoulders.

“No snakes?” I asked her. One slithered across the floor then up my leg with red, glowing eyes. I smacked it off then it disappeared.

“Watch it, darling, before you get on my bad side. I find you quite interesting,” she said to me.

“Sad I can’t say the same about you,” I said to her then she walked around me. She eyed my body then smirked.

“The male you mated with must be very strong, like one of those warriors with nice muscles and strong shoulders. I bet he is very tall and beautiful. A strong male makes his woman’s body more profound after he marks her,” she said to me.

“He is very strong and I miss him. Why are you friends with Sosa? You don’t have to be this way,” I said to her then she smiled.

“You really do see the good in everyone, don’t you? But that’s in your nature, of course,” she said. She waved her hand in front of me and a black, beautiful dress covered my body. Around my stomach area the extra material sagged down. My hair was pinned up in a bun and diamond earrings draped from my ears.

“Beautiful,” she said. I didn’t understand Ula. She was wicked but it didn’t show unless someone pissed her off.

“Thank you,” I said then she looked at me.

“Why are you being nice to me, Anik? I’m wicked with a black heart,” she said.

“You are not fooling me. I fear Sosa before I will fear you, and you are more powerful than him. Without you he wouldn’t have all of this, but for some reason his heart is blacker than yours,” I said to Ula.

“Don’t try to figure me out. What you need to do is be on good behavior so that Sosa can stop his rants,” she replied.

“You had your heart broken before,” I said to her.

“You can’t break what’s not there. My father created me to be his messenger and that’s it,” she told me.

“Your father isn’t here. You can change the purpose of your life,” I replied.

“Close your eyes. I want to show you something, and after I show you, we will never speak on it again,” she said to me.

“What are you going to do to me?” I asked.

“Chile, I can turn you into a heap of dust in just zero-point-five seconds and that’s with your eyes opened. Close your eyes and just look at what I’m about to show you,” she spat. I sat down on the bed then closed my eyes…

I walked into a barn where the light from inside shined underneath the old, wooden barn door. I opened up the door then walked inside. Ula was dressed in a long, white lace dress with a flower behind her head. She danced as her sweet voice carried a melody.

“Come on, get up! Dance with me!” she said happily. I didn’t see who she was talking to until she pulled him up. I stood in shock as Amadi gazed into her eyes.

“Your father will hear us,” Amadi said.

“They are not my real parents. They found me in the woods where my father left me. I don’t care what they think. Let’s runaway together,” Ula said to Amadi.

“I can’t leave my brothers,” he said then moved the thick, kinky hair back that fell down into her face.

“Come on, Amadi. I love you and you love me. Let’s just go away and forget this place. You see what they do to Black folks here,” she said.

“I don’t fear any man,” he said then picked her up. He spun her around then she giggled freely. Tears filled my eyes at how innocent Ula was. Amadi and Ula fell into the hay then he stared into her eyes before he kissed her. A growl escaped his throat as his hand slid up her thigh then he pulled it back.

“I want you, too,” Ula said to Amadi.

“I haven’t done it before,” Amadi said then sat up. Ula pulled him back down.

“Neither have I, but it can be our first,” she said then took off her dress. She pulled her white panties down then stood before Amadi naked. He nervously undressed himself. After he was naked, she looked at his hard-on then gasped. He looked down embarrassed because it hung down his leg.

“I might hurt you, Ula,” he said to her.

“It doesn’t matter. I want you to be my first,” she said to him.

“You don’t know what I am,” he responded.

“And you don’t know what I am, but we love each other and nothing else matters,” she said. He lay her down then kissed her passionately. She moaned as he sucked on her neck. A louder growl escaped from Amadi. He slowly eased himself into Ula then she tensed up.

“I’ve got to stop,” Amadi said.

“No,” Ula said then wrapped her arms around him. I saw the look in her eyes as he worked himself into her. She was in pain but she gave it up to him because she loved him. A tear slid out her eye when he went further in, taking her virginity. A scent of fresh blood permeated the air because he broke her hymen. Amadi started to speed up as he started to shift inside her.

“NO, AMADI!” I yelled out. His nails grew out, cutting her skin. He pumped in and out of her, he couldn’t control it. His beast wouldn’t allow him to. Ula cried, “Amadi, it hurts! Stop, it hurts!” Ula screamed but he didn’t stop. Ula cried in pain then I ran toward them but they seemed far away.

“Stop it, Amadi!” I yelled but he didn’t. His teeth expanded then he bit Ula’s neck. Blood squirted into her face as she gasped for air. I screamed and cried because Amadi’s beast tore into Ula’s neck. Moments later, he pulled out of her then looked down at her. Tears fell from his eyes as she reached out to him.

“I’m okay,” she choked out then coughed up blood, but Amadi didn’t hear her. Ula’s blood saturated the hay underneath her. She closed her eyes seconds later then Amadi picked her up. He wrapped her up in her dress then stormed out of the barn
. I followed him into the woods. He used his sharp nails to dig a hole.

“She is not dead! Stop it! She is not dead!” I yelled into his face but he couldn’t hear me. Once the hole was big enough he laid Ula in it then covered her body up with dirt. Ula’s father called out to her then Amadi shifted. He climbed up a tree then disappeared into the night. I tried to dig Ula up but my hands went through the soil as if I was a ghost. I sat down by the tree and cried.

“I will stay with you,” I said to her.

“Open your eyes, Anik,” she said bringing me out of my dream. My face was drenched with tears.

“I’m so sorry,” I said to her. A black tear escaped her eye then disappeared.

“I haunt him every chance I get. For days I waited by the hole he buried me in. Those days turned into years. I wanted to see if he would come back but he didn’t. He left me to rot in the ground. I could’ve killed him then but I’d rather watch him suffer. Do you see why I’m so mad? I forgot about what Saka wanted me to do when I met Amadi at a fair. I was in love and it warmed my heart to the pits of my soul. I forgot all about spells when I was with him. I was free from everything, but that night proved to me that you can’t lose focus. It showed me that I have one purpose and that is to fill Saka’s request. He saw a vision years and years ago of Naobi coming to Earth to stay. I have been waiting for her and now she is here,” Ula said.
