The Making of a Centaur Page 12

by A. S. McGowan

He would let Nathaniel have her. After all Nathaniel was a good guy. In fact, he kind of liked Nathaniel. He would deal with Nathaniel and her later. Let them have their happiness. It was always better and more enjoyable to destroy those who were happy anyways. No need to test anymore of her nine lives anytime time soon. He could wait on this one. He was after a patient man.

Time to prepare to take the agency down. Everything had to be perfectly prepared. No more room for mistakes. He had a huge list of agents and the people they were investigating. Leaking those names to the ones investigated would ensure a lot of deaths. Smiling he could picture all in his head.

Matt Duclain though was his. He would make sure the kill was up close and personal. He wanted Matt to see it coming. His anger had festered for a long time like a wound left untreated. The only treatment was cold hard revenge.

Analise. Sweet, kind Analise would soon be his. He regretted that he almost had her killed. Taking her and the kids as his own was so much more appealing. The spoils of war. The thought left him feeling elated.

Taking the list of names from his briefcase, he numbered them. He wanted to make sure that each death was done to ensure the maximum impact. For now, he would allow the agents some peace. Let them think they were safe. Then he would strike again.
