  He's right.

He's the one I let live.

"Your ring." As he holds my ring out while standing behind me, his lips kiss behind my ear.

"Thank you." I slip it back on and stare in the mirror.

This is the second biggest moment of my life. The first was the ridiculous wedding we had. But when you marry a man like him, you expect absurdity for his benefit. I have to let him think he's got a say in this union, but we both know I could crush him in a blink of an eye. Besides, a fairytale wedding was never something I cared about and it was something he wanted, so I allowed it. Hundreds of people gathered to watch us legally bind something that is already seared together with no chance of breaking.

"Why do you take it off?" he asks, as his mouth doesn't leave contact with my neck while he travels to the other side.

"I'm still getting used to wearing the ridiculous weight on my finger and," I turn in his arms and connect our mouths before pulling back and telling him, "I'll wear it when I please."

"You know it pleases me when you wear it, so please do."

"I love it when you beg," I whisper and lean in again to express the feelings of love I kept repressed for so long.

The chime of the doorbell echoing around our practically empty house sounds loudly and I freeze.

"I hate that sound," I whisper nervously.

"If you would allow me to fill our new home already, it wouldn't sound so menacing, love."

I groan and step away from him, covering my face. "I'm not ready for this," I admit, but can't look him in the eyes.

Rarely will I allow him to see me breaking down.

"Take a deep breath." He pulls me back into his arms and pulls my hands down, kissing my forehead.

The doorbell chimes again and he smiles.

"You have to go get it. I'm not ready. I just need a minute."

"Take as long as you need." When he kisses my nose and pulls away, I grab his hand.

"I love you," I tell him and he smiles at the words he rarely hears because I don't throw them around meaninglessly.

"You're my queen," he tells me before leaving me in our bedroom bathroom.

I only take a moment to inhale a deep breath and as I'm walking down the steps, the front door is opening, pouring in the sun and warmth from outside.

"Hey, how's it going? Lucas Acey," Luke says, shaking hands and allowing our guest inside.

  "Liam Porter," my brother replies.

  About the Authors:

Thelma and Louise. Boris and Natasha. Frost and Dauphin. When these two teamed up, they never knew how amazing it would be working together to create wonderful masterpieces of joy, tears, humor, and heartbreak. Dauphin's favorite part about Frost? The fact that she puts up with her. Period. ALSO, the fact that she makes her writing better every damn time. She's friggin' brilliant. Frosts favorite thing about Dauphin? Frost loves the fact that when they get together to create it becomes a tornado of brilliance that Frost couldn't be more grateful to be caught up in with Dauphin. Dauphin's artistic abilities and mad skillz make Frost so proud to be associated with her (it makes her look good too). Also if Dauphin didn't adult for the both of them, not much would get done.

Each a mom and a wife, Frost actually holds down a job while containing the crazy while Dauphin sits at home with the tinies and eats bon-bon's all day (if you ask her husband) ;)

Creating babies together has been the best adventure either of them has ever been on. You should most definitely check them out at www.facebook.com/malpalwrites and check out their books. They would flove you for3ver.
