  APOCALYPSE

  INTRODUCTION

Monitored by the government security services around the world, the documents enclosed within this publication have been classified as TOP SECRET or CONFIDENTIAL.

All information within this document relates to the infection outbreak.

I feel that it is my duty as a scientist and investigative medical professional to release this information into the public domain. I am sure that I shall have to face the consequences for my action, but I firmly believe that the public in general need to be made aware of this outbreak.

I fear that the different governments of this world are powerless to stop the spread of the infection. Believe me I am here at the sharp end. I have seen evidence of how they have tried and failed. They appear to always be one step behind the infection and its dramatic spread.

If you are able to read the evidence contained within this document, then you are one of the lucky few who have survived this nightmare, so far.

Fearing that any kind of faith has deserted humanity, may the god you pray to bless us all.

  CHAPTER 1

The first report of the infection came on the 9th April. A hotel in Horsforth, North Yorkshire called The First Century Inn.

This is the email sent to the Northern Area Manager from a concerned hotel employee known only as Grant.

The email was titled URGENT – HOTEL CLOSURE. It would be the start of this nightmare.

FIRST CENTURY INN, HORSFORTH, YORKSHIRE – 9th April

  TO: [email protected]

  FROM: [email protected]

SUBJECT: URGENT – HOTEL CLOSURE – 9th April

  Mike,

You need to contact me urgently. I have tried ringing you on your mobile but it just went straight to voicemail.

The hotel has been closed by the police. There has been a tragic incident in one of the hotel rooms.

A guest, booked in as Mr. James Kyle, attacked a number of guests on the first floor. Police were called and due to his violent nature, police firearms officers unfortunately shot him.

That’s not all; the guests he attacked also started to become violent and started to attack other guests. The whole of the first floor is shut off and I can’t believe I am saying this, but we now have a total of six hotel guests shot by police.

The hotel is full of police officers, crime scene officers and some scientific people who look very official. This is all really weird. I have overheard a couple of police officers talking about some kind of infection.

The hotel is now a crime scene, nobody is being allowed to leave since the police arrival. The investigating officers want a senior manager from the hotel group to attend immediately. I am not sure if you are in the office and able to read this email straight away.

The thing is Mike, if this is some kind of infection; just prior to Mr. Kyle going berserk I booked out three guests who were with him. I have had to give their personal details to the police.

As I said, I did try to ring you on the mobile and I have left a voicemail message asking for you to ring me back as soon as possible.

  Ring me ASAP.

  CHAPTER 2

The 9th April. A woman in Leeds City Centre, Jennifer Madison, was going about her daily business when she found herself in the middle of chaos.

This is her witness statement given to the police.

  Jennifer Madison.

I am the above named person and I live at an address known to police. This statement refers to an incident that I witnessed in the City Centre of Leeds. I will describe as best as I can what I saw.

On Monday 9th April at approximately one (1) o’clock in the afternoon, I was shopping in Leeds City Centre. I was on my own and had decided that I would return home and was making my way back when I came to the junction of Calverley Street and Portland Way.

I waited at the traffic lights and was aware of a commotion outside the Civic Hall. I could see people running across the road, the traffic lights had changed so the cars were making their way across the junction. I noticed an elderly man who tried to run across before the cars moved, he stuttered and the driver of a white transit van, I did not manage to see the registration number, hit him with such force that the elderly man catapulted backwards and I saw that he smashed the back of his head on the road.

My attention was then drawn to why everyone was running away. I could see a number of people writhing around on the floor of the pavement. I could see blood on their bodies and on the concrete.

Standing in the middle of these people, covered head to toe in blood, I saw a male in a suit, he looked very hostile. I would describe this male as around six (6) foot in height. He wore a dark suit and white shirt. I could not say how old this male would be. His hair was matted and his face was covered in blood. In my opinion he looked angry and very violent. I noticed that he was chasing anybody near to him.

I observed a young woman who was cowering near the wall of the Civic Hall, she was screaming and shouting for help, I would say she was about thirty (30) yards from where I was standing. The male in the suit ran over to her and to my shock and disgust started to bite her neck. She was still screaming loudly and then her screams became more muffled and gargled until I saw blood splatter up against the light coloured wall of the Civic Hall.

I did not hear gunfire and did not see a knife in the hand of the man dressed in the suit. It was not until the man moved away from the woman that I saw blood dripping from his mouth, it appeared to me that he had bitten her on the neck. She slumped to the floor covered in blood, she was no longer screaming.

In the distance I could hear police sirens, I was extremely scared and ran to a building nearby, a man ushered me inside. Once inside the building I could hear lots of screaming outside, but I could not see what was going on.

I was inside the building with other people who were as scared as I was, I remember hearing lots of gunfire, then after around half an hour police came to the building with guns and wanted to check everybody.

The police were shouting orders at first and started to direct people towards the door, I was very scared as the police officers shone bright lights in our eyes and pointed guns at us.

We were ushered out of the building and sent directly to a white tent where men wearing masks and white suits took blood from our arms, I was told this was not voluntary and that if I refused to give a sample of blood I would be arrested.

Just before I walked into the tent I saw a young male in a dark tracksuit, he was curled up near the traffic lights and shaking. I saw three police officers approach him. He lifted his head up and I saw that his face was covered in blood. He jumped up and started to run towards the police officers. I saw the lead police officer aim his weapon and shoot the young man in the head, this made him crumple to the ground. I could see a number of other bodies on the ground in Calverley Street. These bodies were covered up with black sheets, in total I could count around fourteen.

I have never seen the male who was attacking the people in the street before, I can give no reason for him to attack these people and I can only describe what I saw when I reached the junction. It was a truly terrifying experience and it has left me shaken and in a state of shock.

I freely submit my blood to be analysed by the police forensic team, I exhibit this as JM/1. If it becomes apparent that the police forensic team or any medical examiner should find an abnormality with my blood sample I will adhere to any recommendations made by such people and present myself, if required
, at a location to be specified.

This statement is a true account of what I witnessed.

  CHAPTER 3

After the tragic incidents in Leeds City Centre, Superintendent Matthews of West Yorkshire Police circulated an internal intelligence report to his officers making them aware of the situation.

Police Officers were today called to Leeds City Centre, where a large number of calls were made to the main control room in relation to a male who was allegedly attacking members of the public.

The initial calls to the control room contradicted each other, with some callers stating the male had a weapon, others stated that they had seen no such weapon and that the male in question was attacking members of the public by “biting them”.

Due to the violent nature of the call and because of the incident which occurred at a hotel in Horsforth yesterday, armed officers and specially trained riot officers were despatched to the area. On police arrival at the junction of Calverley Street and Portland Way a male was seen to be attacking members of the public. He was given direct orders by police officers to stop, the male refused to stop and turned his intention towards the officers.

The male was shot three times to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. Victims of the male, a total of thirteen people were found dead at the scene, but in a remarkable turn of events these bodies started to move and became hostile to police, orders were given by senior officers monitoring the situation to deal with the situation by the use of deadly force.

A young male was discovered by police officers near to the junction of Portland Way and Calverley Street, hunched by the set of traffic lights. Officers report that he was not responsive and when approached became hostile. He had blood shot eyes and appeared to be foaming at the mouth. This male was also shot dead at the scene.

The initial male who was making the attacks has been identified as Gareth McConnell, date of birth 14/8/1968, no trace on police systems. He is a work colleague of James Kyle who was shot by police at the First Century Hotel in Horsforth yesterday. Police were aware of his presence at the hotel and were in the process of trying to locate him.

At present Leeds City Centre has been cordoned off, all members of the public present at the time of the attack and found taking refuge in local buildings have been blood-screened. At this stage we believe that both the City Centre and Horsforth incidents are linked. The press are reporting this is some kind of infection outbreak, but at present we are waiting forensic and toxicology reports.

All officers are reminded not to speak to the press regarding either incident and that any questions should be directed to the Press and Public Relations Department. Any officer found to be sharing confidential information with any outside source will be dealt with expeditiously.

  CHAPTER 4

With the events in Yorkshire still fresh in people’s minds, a newspaper reporter, Hannah McCall, was at the scene of what was described as a tragic accident. Her report was for the local newspaper, the Wakefield Herald.

  FEMALE DIES IN CAR DRAMA

  Hannah McCall

A female driver and her passenger are reported to have died whilst in their car which had crashed on the A642 Aberford Road late last night.

Police attended the scene and quickly cordoned off the area, no details have been released of the deceased at this stage.

A police spokesperson commented on the incident that occurred at around 9pm last night.

“We can confirm that a female and her male passenger died in tragic circumstances on Aberford Road. At this stage we are unable to release any details whilst the investigation is on-going.”

When questioned further police would not rule out suspicious circumstances.

In a twist to this incident, local residents were evacuated from their homes with medical staff being drafted into the area.

No link has yet been established with this incident and the deaths which have occurred over the last two days in Horsforth and Leeds, but with rumours flying around the local area, residents are unhappy with the lack of information coming from the police and local authorities.

Local MP, Derek Mannering was contacted by the Wakefield Herald yesterday but refused to comment further on the incident.

“I shall be talking to the House regarding recent events in the local area. I believe that we should allow the police to conduct their investigation unhindered and we shall await their findings.”

Local resident Margaret Galloway, 48, took a completely different view of the situation.

“We have seen in the national papers of what happened in Horsforth and Leeds, now this happens opposite where I live. If it was just a road accident then why are we being told to leave our homes and why are there people in white suits telling us we have to give blood samples?”

Clearly, people are worried and angered by the recent incidents and with no further information available on yesterday’s tragic events the local people are obviously very concerned that there is a definite link.

LOCAL PUB CRICKET TEAM TO TOUR FRANCE

A local pub cricket team is to visit France later this month hoping to take part in a charity cricket tournament.

Pub landlord, Jeremy Cavanagh arranged the event with a former pub local who has retired to the South of France, it is intended the visit will last five days, including two matches and no doubt some multi-cultural exchanges.

  CHAPTER 5

My department, the Disease Control Institute, were tasked with the testing of the dead bodies of Gareth McConnell, Mary Tanner and James Kyle as well as the people who were killed in the incidents in Yorkshire.

The Home Secretary and Health Minister were sent this memo by Dr. McNamara, my long friend and colleague who copied me in so that I was aware of what was going on.

This is the internal memo sent to politicians.

TO: Home Secretary; Health Minister; Dr. M van Breukelen

  FROM: D.C.I. Headquarters

  DATE: 10th April

As you are fully aware, the D.C.I. has taken full responsibility for investigating the incidents that occurred in Horsforth, Leeds and Wakefield.

The bodies of James Kyle, Gareth McConnell and Mary Tanner have arrived in the labs and we are conducting all the requested tests. As for the unfortunate attacks on other members of the public, we can confirm that a separate testing lab has been set aside for these as we believe them to be secondary infections. Those of Kyle, McConnell and Tanner are primary infections. We do not wish to cause any contamination of the evidence.

We currently have the wife of McConnell in a secure unit, at this stage she is showing no signs of infection, but this is where we hit an obstacle.

The cause of the infection is not known, nor is the incubation period. Tests have started on Kyle, the first person to be infected and at this stage we are no closer to discovering what it is.

We can confirm that all known diseases have been checked against the database and every check has come back negative. I believe we are dealing with a completely new infection of which we know nothing about.

Internally, James Kyle is a complete mess. His organs are piles of slush, blood is thicker than we have ever encountered in any other living person and is of a dark red-come-brownish colour. In summary, we find it completely impossible that he was able to live and breathe, let alone commit a frenzied and violent attack.

Here is the interesting part. Kyle’s brain was intact and partially functioning prior to his death. I am at a loss as to how this can be, in fact it defies all medical belief, but it is fact.

These three incidents, which are evidentially linked due to all three people knowing each other, must be fully investigated and monitored.

It is of the belief of this institute that any further outbreaks will cause a situation this country has never seen before.

This matter needs to be addressed by the government straight away, in our opinion. In my medical opinion a full scale na
tional testing scenario should be organised and curfews put in place. We are to begin testing on the other two primary sources of the infection, McConnell and Tanner soon and then the secondary sources.

I fear, however, we shall have no further information for you.

Dr. Marco van Breukelen is currently in the field trying to gather as much information as possible for a future review and enquiry. We are hoping he can uncover important information that will not only allow us to look at this infection further but to also discover what is happening.

I implore you to speak direct to the Prime Minister regarding this situation before this whole thing goes global.

  Kind Regards

  Dr. A. McNamara

  Disease Control Institute

  CHAPTER 6

Prior to the body of Mary Tanner being taken to the Disease Control Institute, she was examined by Wakefield Healthcare.

This is the report given to the D.C.I. by Dr Gaskal when the body was transported quickly to London for testing. I managed to get my hands on this report after it was passed to me by Dr. McNamara.
