Tia sat down in one of the chairs and gestured for James and Lacey to sit on the couch. She wasn’t going to let Lacey bait her. She just wanted to get them the hell out of there.

Her men stood around her chair. Ryder and Dan sat on the arms, and Sam leaned a hip on the back. She smiled to herself, knowing that James was feeling uncomfortable, whether he showed it or not. He always pulled his ear when he was nervous, and from the way he was tugging on it now he was nervous as hell.

“James, I don’t know what you’re up to or what you want, but you signed your rights to Shay over to me and that was your choice. So I’m not going to just roll over and allow you to pull her back into your nightmare of a life. You don’t have any rights with her anymore,” Tia said calmly.

“I might have believed that you truly wanted to see her until Lacey opened her mouth and spoke cruelly to my daughter. Now I know exactly why you want to see her, and I won’t allow you to use her like that.”

“Tia, I didn’t come here to ask you to let me see her. I came here to tell you that she is coming home with me today.” James leaned back and smiled that creepy smile he always had when he knew something that no one else did. He crossed his leg over his knee and glared at her.

“I think that it’s time you left, Jackson.” Sam came around and pointed to where he wanted James and Lacey to depart.

“You have no business demanding anything from Tia after what you put her through.” Moving quickly, he grabbed James by the scruff of the neck and started walking him to the door. Lacey was yelling at him to put James down and James just walked along silently.

When they got to the door and Sam was about to throw the bastard out onto the front porch, James started laughing.

“What the hell do you find so amusing about this, Jackson?” Sam asked.

“Go ahead and throw me out but it doesn’t change the fact that Tia is living with my daughter in the home of her three lovers. What judge is going to not understand when I tell them, with tears running down my face, that I fear for the safety and morals of my daughter? That sister of yours should have removed herself from this case from the beginning. Now because she didn’t, she has given me the opening that I need to overturn that stupid document that I signed.”

“Well, Mr. Jackson, I see you didn’t heed my advice.” Simone Kinsey walked up onto the porch and stood there glaring at the man in the grip of her brother.

“Let him go, Sammy, he isn’t worth the trouble. Now let’s all head back into the house and sit down like civilized people.”

Sam let go of James, and they followed Simone back into the living room.

Kissing Ryder and Dan on the cheeks she hugged Tia and whispered in her ear, “Just you watch how the Kinsey family takes care of its own.”

She turned back to see Lacey almost in tears as James helped her into the chair.

“Oh, come now, Miss Lacey, the tears and swooning might work for Mommy and Daddy, but around here they’re useless.” Lacey gasped at being spoken to that way. Simone continued, knowing that all the tears and the show of weakness that Lacey portrayed was an act.

“I’ve done my homework on both of you, and what I’ve come up with is very interesting.”

Pulling the files that she had brought with her out of her briefcase, Simone opened one and then looked right at Lacey.

“It would seem, Lacey dear, that you have spent well beyond what your trust found allows you to. The only way you’re going to be able to keep that little sports car you’re so fond of or any of the other toys that you have grown accustomed to is to have your parents loosen the purse strings. And, James...” She sighed and opened another folder. “You, sir, should have taken my advice and left your ex-wife and her daughter alone. What I have on you will put you in prison for a very long time. So before you go threatening my family, you better make sure you have a damned-good attorney because you are going to need it.”

James jumped up from where he had been sitting on the arm of the chair, his face red with anger. “I don’t know what you are referring to, Judge, but I have nothing to hide. Besides, I wonder what the judiciary committee would feel about your conduct in this case. Shouldn’t you have removed yourself from this case once your brothers became involved with Tia?” he repeated, only to her face this time.

“First off, little man, sit your ass down and speak to me in a civilized tone or the gloves come off and you’ll find yourself in handcuffs and on your way to jail in a blink of an eye.”

Lacey was the next to speak. “James, come sit down and listen to what she has to say. It can’t be that bad otherwise she’d already have called the police.”

“You’re right, sweetheart. I shouldn’t let these people get to me. With their morals I’m sure no judge in his right mind would allow Shay to stay here,” he said and sat down beside her again.

“That’s where you’d lose, Mr. Jackson. Shay is in a loving and caring environment, any judge would care more about that than how many are sleeping in a bed. Besides, it won’t get that far anyway, will it?” And she tossed the file she had in her hand to him.

James opened the file and started reading. The further along he read the paler his face became. Closing it, he looked at Lacey and then at Simone and asked, “What are you going to do with this information?”

“You know I can’t let you get away with this,” Simone stated plainly. “As a former officer of the US courts I had to notify the proper authorities the moment I found this information. There is a unit waiting for you outside, and they will escort you back to the states to stand trial or you could fight extradition. The choice is yours of course.”

Lacey took the file from James and started reading. Her eyes opened in astonishment and despair the more she read.

“Please, James, tell me you didn’t do this,” she cried with tears streaming down her face. Simone actually felt bad for the younger woman now. She had no idea what type of man she’d allowed herself to become involved with.

“What the hell is going on, Simone?” Tia asked as Simone handed her a copy of the file that she had given to James.

Sitting down on the couch with her men around her they all started reading.

  * * * *

Tia was surprised that Simone had been able to get proof of what James had done, but she wasn’t surprised by what she read. She knew James had had something to do with the death of his former boss, but she had no way to prove it.

“Is this the same man that you told us about, Tia?” Ryder asked her.

“Yes, it’s also Lacey’s uncle.” She looked at the young woman and could see the horror on her face at the realization that the man whom she had entrusted her love to was a murderer. Not only that, but his victim was her beloved Uncle Jason.

James looked at Lacey and then at Simone and said, “I won’t fight extradition, Judge, because back in my country I can hire the best attorneys money can buy, and I’ll beat any charges they throw at me.”

Simone smiled and looked him straight in the eye, saying, “With what the authorities now have and the witness that has come forward, might I suggest you take a plea bargain, sir? After all, this will be a death-penalty case.”

James’s eyes widened in shock at the mention of the death penalty, and quickly turning to Tia, he yelled out, “Tia, you’ve got to say something to them. Tell them I wouldn’t do anything like this.”

All Tia could do was shake her head and turn away.

The officers that were to escort James back to the US entered the house. James stood just as Shay came back into the room, and they locked the handcuffs, holding his hands behind his back.

He looked at her and quickly turned away in shame and mumbled how sorry he was.

Lacey followed behind him, but as she got to the door she turned and gave Shay a smile and walked toward her. Leaning down, she kissed her cheek and apologized for the hurt that she had caused her.

“I want you to know ho
w truly happy I was to have met such an incredibly strong little girl. Your mom should be very proud and maybe someday I’ll be as smart and as strong as you.” And then Lacey turned and walked out the door, got in the rental car, and drove off.

“Maybe there’s hope for her yet, Mom.” Shay smiled as she put Tia’s arm around her waist.

“Maybe there is, sweetie,” Tia responded, kissing the top of her head.

“So how long is the biological going away for?” Shay finally asked.

Simone was the one to answer her. “Fortunately, he is going away for a very long time, sugar girl.” Taking Shay’s hand, she led her into the kitchen and sat her at the table. Simone grabbed a glass and poured some milk that she’d gotten out of the fridge.

“James did a very bad thing, honey, so he needs to pay for it. He took the life of someone, so he needs to spend the rest of his life behind bars.”

  * * * *

Trying to be as careful as possible but not wanting to hide the truth from her, Simone continued.

“None of what he has done is any of your responsibility, honey.”

Tia came into the kitchen and pulled a chair out, sitting beside her daughter.

“I know it’s not my responsibility or my fault that he’s an ass.” Shay smiled at her mom.

“Nice language, Shay. Didn’t your mother ever tell you she’d wash your mouth out with soap for such language?” Tia smiled back.

“Nope, because when she’s mad…boy she has the mouth of a truck driver, let me tell you.”

They both laughed then, and Shay stood and hugged her mom and then walked over to hug Simone.

“Thanks for looking out for us, Auntie Simone, you’re the best,” and off she went with the twins again, who through the whole episode had been so busy playing on their new DS systems that they didn’t hear a word of any of it.

Leaning across the table, Tia took Simone’s hands in hers and said, “Yeah, thanks for taking such good care of us.”

“Family sticks together.” She smiled back

“But we’re not family yet.” Tia giggled.

“Well…” came a deep voice from the kitchen doorway, “that’s easy enough to fix. All we need is a preacher or a judge, a ring, and a bride. And I happen to know where I can find all three,” Ryder said and came to pick her up and carry her to the living room.

“Can you at least wait until I get the girls out of here before you start with all the lovey dovey stuff, brother dear?” Simone laughed and followed behind.

She called Shay and the twins and told them to gather some clothes for Shay and they would head off to the cabin for the week.

Tia started squirming for Ryder to let her down. When he did she went to Simone and said, “You’ve already done so much for us, Simone, you don’t need to look after Shay all the time.”

The three girls stood waiting for the older women to finish their conversation.

“She doesn’t need to be babysat, Tia. Shay is a delight, and she’s been teaching the twins some Spanish, and they’ve been teaching her French. Besides, my girls don’t fight nearly as much when Shay’s with them. Your girl is a master negotiator,” Simone whispered loudly.

Tia blushed when Simone leaned in and asked with a grin, “Do you really want your daughter around for the next few days? I think my brothers will be keeping you very busy.”

Simone hugged her once more and headed out the door.

  Chapter 7

Tia was finally alone with the triplets, and she was scared shitless. Turning back toward the living room, she crossed the threshold to see all three men sitting comfortably on the furniture. Dan looked relaxed, leaning back on one of the arms of the couch with Ryder lounging against the other end. Sam sat in the overstuffed chair next to it, leaning forward with his arms resting on his thighs, his hands dangling loosely between his knees.

When she walked in, the air suddenly felt electrified. Even though she’d only been here a week or so, much had happened to change her life. Rising from the chair, Sam came toward her and pulled her into his arms. He gently lifted her chin to raise her mouth to his. When their lips connected, she was lost, and all the fear that she had been feeling slowly dissipated as she reveled in Sam’s kiss.

Tia could hear movement from beside her and then felt an arm encircle her waist from behind. Sam parted his lips from hers only to slide them down her neck. Dan worked his arms around from behind and slowly moved them to cup her breasts and pinch her already hardening nipples through her dress. He quickly lifted her up in his arms and carried her up to the master bedroom as both Sam and Ryder followed behind.

Placing her down in the center of the room, Sam and Dan worked together to remove her dress, and Tia watched as Ryder walked over and sat on the edge of the bed and began taking off his shirt and boots. When she was standing completely naked, Sam and Dan quickly divested themselves of their T-shirts and boots, and as each took a hand they led her to Ryder. Standing between his legs, she was shaking, knowing that the three men now surrounding her were finally going to make love to her. They had had her on edge since she arrived, but none of them had ever made a real attempt to bed her. She was amazed at the control they seemed to have over their passion.

Ryder grasped her around the waist and lifted her to straddle his thighs. She wanted him naked, and the sooner the better, but for some reason none of them seemed to be in any great hurry.

“Ryder, Sir.” She gasped as she felt his hardness against her wet pussy through his jeans.

“What would you like, kitten?” he whispered into her ear as he trailed both hands up and down her back.

“I want you all to make love to me, now,” Tia said quietly, almost as if she didn’t want to have to ask them for what she wanted.

“There are a few things that we need to discuss before we can do that, precious.” His eyes locked with hers, and he smiled.

Dan moved to stand beside her and slid his hand under her chin to lift her eyes to his, “We want you to understand, baby, that if we make love to you, you are agreeing to be ours. Not just a fling but our woman. For life.”

She couldn’t understand what he meant by that and was about to ask him when Sam spoke from her other side as he turned her head to face him.

“We all love you, baby girl.”

  * * * *

Sam could see she was about to say something, so he stopped her with a finger to her lips and said, “Please, just listen to us for a few minutes, and then you can say whatever it is that is on your mind.” She shook her head in agreement.

“As I was saying, we all love you, Tia. Not just a fleeting kind of love but a soul-deep one. You have given us so much in such a short time frame and it only confirmed for us that Simone was right when she told us that we would fall in love with you at first sight.” He gently kissed her lips.

“We have looked for a long time for one woman for all three of us. One that was submissive in the bedroom, and the club but also had a mind of her own and could stand up to us and let us know when we’d crossed a line with her. We wanted a woman who would challenge all of us both in and out of bed, and in you we’ve found her,” Ryder said as he, too, kissed her lips softly.

Reaching behind him under one of the pillows, he pulled out a small, dark box and opened it to show her the ring contained within it.

“We want you to marry us, kitten. We want to spend the rest of our lives loving both you and Shay and all the other babies we’ll make.” He lifted her left hand and placed the ring on her finger.

Raising her hand, she smiled as he placed it on her finger and she got a closer look at the ring.

  * * * *

It was the most beautiful oval-shaped diamond she’d ever seen. It had three smaller sapphires that surrounded it as it rested on a wide gold band.

Tears ran down her face as she grabbed each man’s face one at a time and kissed them.

“Is that a yes?” Dan asked and smiled.

  “Yes, yes, yes…as lo
ng as Shay is okay with it, though. It may take her awhile to get used to the idea, but I’m sure she’ll come around. She loves all of you so much already.”

Sam burst out laughing and kissed her nose. “Who do you think helped us pick out the ring, baby girl? Your little girl loves the idea. She’s a great kid, Tia, and she has asked us if we would adopt her once we were married.”

Tia burst into tears at the thought of Shay finally having not one but three daddies to call her own. After what James had done to her, she needed the safety and security that the triplets gave her.

Picking her up off his lap, Ryder swung her around to lay her on the bed. “Please don’t cry, kitten. If you don’t want us to adopt her officially we don’t have to. It makes no difference to us whether she’s legally ours or not. In our hearts she’s already our little girl.”

Sniffling and wiping the back of her hand across her cheek Tia smiled. “Of course I want you to adopt her, you boneheads. It just makes me so happy to she loves you as much as I do. I don’t know when or how, but I know that we are meant to belong to the three of you.”

Ryder leaned over her and kissed the top of her breast as it rose and fell with her heavy breathing. Nipping at it, she hissed out a breath as he soothed the little pain away with his tongue.

“Sam, Dan, our little sub was just disrespectful to us,” he said to his brothers, his smile showing his playfulness.

“I heard her, Ryder. She needs to be shown what happens when she doesn’t speak to her Doms with the proper respect,” Dan said, trying but failing to hide his smile.

Sam quickly moved to the other side of the bed and grabbed Tia’s hands to raise them above her head while Ryder and Dan finished taking off the remainder of their clothing.

“I’m sorry, Sirs, I didn’t mean to be disrespectful.” Tia’s gaze wandered over each one of them. “But you were acting like boneheads.” She giggled.
