I hummed around him, feeling his body jump as a grin crossed my cheeks.

  “Oh, shit,” he choked out.

I hummed again, feeling the way his thighs clamped down around my body between his legs. He thrusted into my face as I held his hands tightly and I lost myself in the sensations. I held my mouth open for me. I let him fuck me however he wanted. I felt his thickness pulsing and his precum gathering at the back of my throat and I knew he was close. His heels dug into the floor. His body started to break out in a sheen of sweat. I watched his muscles glisten for me as he groaned and grunted, and finally he freed a hand from him.

He gripped my hair and pulled me off his cock, then ripped me up his body to put his lips against mine.

His arms wrapped around me and he quickly sat us up. And in a flash, my body was lifted from the floor. He barreled us into the kitchen and settled me on the edge of the counter, our lips never leaving one another’s. I tasted the mixture of us on his lips. I felt him reach for something before a cold liquid drizzled itself onto my tits and I hissed as it touched my nipples.

Everett kissed down my neck, and I fluttered my eyes open just long enough to see the melted ice cream tip over on the counter.

  “Oh shit,” I whispered.

“You have no idea how good you taste,” Everett murmured.

His lips wrapped around my nipples, his tongue lapping at the sugar covering my tits. I fisted his hair, drawing him closer as my body shook underneath his ministrations. He stroked my nipples to painful peaks. They engorged themselves onto his tongue. I scooted to the edge of the counter, desperate to get closer to him as he wrapped his arm around my lower back.

Then, without effort or notice, he guided his cock into my sopping wet entrance.

  “Everett!”

“That’s right. Cry out for me, Andrea. Let me hear you.”

“Everett, please. I need you. Oh, hell.”

“I love it when you say my name. Don’t ever stop.”

  “I won’t, Everett. I swear I won't.”

He set a feverish pace. My body jumped against his as he captured my nipples between his lips. I rolled my hips against him, feeling his thick dick plunge deeper and deeper into my body. My head fell back. His lips kissed up to my neck and nibbled on my pulse point. I felt alive. Loved. Electrified underneath the ministrations of his tongue. His hips snapped against mine and the sound filled the corners of my apartment. Skin slapping skin rang out in my ears as his cock dove in and out of my dripping wet pussy.

“Oh, Andrea. I love the way you make me feel.”

He buried his face into the crook of my neck and I clung to him as my heart called out for his own.

“Everett. Don’t stop. Please, don’t stop,” I breathed.

“I won’t. I never will. I’m so close. Come with me, Andrea. Come around this cock.”

His hips slammed against mine and my body curled into his. I gripped into the pebbled muscles of his back as my body released, massaging his dick for all it had. I felt Everett’s hips stutter. I felt his cock thicken against my walls. He buried himself deep, allowing my pussy to pull him closer as he held me tight around my body.

And when he filled me with his hot spurts of come, I felt myself collapse against him.

I sat there, clinging to him for I didn’t know how long. My legs grew weak and my head spun while stars illuminated and clouded my vision. I gasped for air. I felt Everett’s hands plant themselves onto the kitchen counter so he could catch his breath. I ran my hand through his hair and kissed his shoulder, feeling our sweat intermingling together.

  “I love you, Everett.”

I whispered those simple words against his skin, and his response was lifting me into the air. Carrying me to my bed. Laying me down softly before climbing in next to me. His response was to pull me close. To situate me in the crook of his arm while his eyes gazed down into mine.

  “I love you too, Andrea.”

I slid my leg over his and felt his fingertips working their way through the knots in my hair. And for the first time in my life, I felt fulfilled. Whole. Excited for the day to come. I stroked my fingertips down the rings of his abs, watching as goosebumps trickled across his skin. I giggled at the sight and he reached down to kiss the top of my head. I felt him move closer to me. Wanting to be nearer at my side. I nuzzled into him and wrapped my arm around his waist, soaking up his warmth and reveling in our time together.

“You don’t feel you’re making the wrong decision?” I asked.

His fingertips stopped moving and I felt him crook his knuckle underneath my chin. He tilted my gaze up to his and I found his eyes. His stunning blue eyes that held so much stern truth in them. He bent down and captured my lips, and his kiss answered the question before he could. He cupped my cheek and hiked me up his body until my face was level with his. I felt heat rise up my spine. I felt his arm work me on top of his body. I straddled his thick form, his hands stroking the dip of my waist as our tongues collided.

And when I pulled back, my forehead fell against his and the most beautiful words ever graced my ears.

“You could never be a wrong decision, Andrea.”

  TWENTY-EIGHT

  Andrea

  One Month Later

  “Jessica!”

  “Andrea!”

I ran into my friend’s arms and squeezed her.

“I want to see this thing. Let me see it now,” I said.

Jessica held out her hand and I finally got a glimpse at the massive rock on her finger.

“I cannot believe he proposed,” I said.

“Apparently, he bought the damn thing while we were in Vegas,” she said.

“Looks like Everett and I weren’t the only two people succumbing to the alcohol.”

She playfully swatted at me before I pulled her back in for another hug.

“I’m so happy for you,” I said.

“Come on, girls. We need to get going,” Lucas said.

Jessica rolled her eyes as she pulled away from me.

  “He’s so impatient sometimes.”

  “Andrea! You comin’!?” Everett exclaimed.

“Trust me, it must be a family thing,” I said, giggling.

“Cayden’s meeting us at the park in fifteen minutes. If we don’t get going, he’s going to think we bailed!” Lucas shouted.

“Hold your horses! We’re looking at this massive rock you put on Jessica’s finger!” I yelled.

“Then look at it in the car! We gotta go!” Everett said.

I linked my arm with Jessica and the two of us grabbed our things. Lucas and she had come over to my apartment to help Everett and I pack for the massive family picnic. The sun was shining and his parents put it together last-minute, and all of us were very excited about attending. Jessica called me a few nights ago screaming about the fact that Lucas had popped the question, and I couldn't wait to get the full story from her. We all had been so busy that we had hardly gotten together to do much of anything, much less swap engagement stories.

“Finally. Come on, you two. Let’s get in the car,” Lucas said.

“You look great, Andrea,” Everett said admiring my little sundress. Another item he bought for me. But I was getting more comfortable with him buying me gifts. It was his love language, I understood that better now.

He kissed the side of my head before Jessica and I slid into the convertible. Everett and Lucas rode in front while Jessica and I rode in back, and the summer wind whipped through our hair while we cruised down Main Street in Charleston. Nothing but blue skies, white wispy clouds, and the loves of our lives in front of us. The food we packed sat at our feet while Jessica clung to the three bottles of wine she and Lucas were contributing, and my eyes kept falling to the massive rock on her fingers.

“Okay. So tell me how this all happened,” I said.

“Yes, yes, yes. Okay, so. You know I had a shit day Monday at work.”

  “You called me crying, yes.”

  “Right
. Well, after I called you, I walked into my apartment and found Lucas just standing there.”

“Bianca let him in. Got it,” I said.

“Right. And the second he saw me crying, he wrapped me up in his arms and held me close. It was so sweet.”

“Because I’m a sweetheart,” Lucas said, grinning.

“We aren’t tooting your horn until I approve of the way you proposed,” I said.

  “You’re screwed,” Everett said, chuckling.

  “Continue,” I said.

“Right. So, he ordered dinner and we talked. I vented to him about my day. He stayed over and he held me while I fell asleep, and when I woke up he wasn’t there. Which was fine. I figured he left. You know, work and all.”

  “Right. Work. Houses and stuff.”

“Yeah, all that. Well, when I got out of bed the most wonderful smell hit my nostrils,” she said.

“Oh, he cooked breakfast. You’re getting warmer, Lucas,” I said.

  “Keep listening,” he said, smiling.

  “Yes. Keep listening,” Jessica said.

“So, you went out and saw breakfast?” I asked.

“I did, but there was no Lucas. I mean, I knew he was there because the food was hot and the coffee was fresh, but he wasn’t at the table.”

  “Where was he?”

“That’s the thing. When he said my name behind me, I turned around and he was down on one knee.”

  “What!?”

“Yeah. Just, right there. In the apartment. After cooking breakfast and holding me while I slept and helping me through a rough day at work. My hair was all knotted up and I still had sleep in my eyes, and he got down on one knee and proposed right then and there. With me looking like a hot ass mess.”

“Oh my gosh, he loves you even when you look like shit,” I said.

“It was so personal and romantic, and I liked that it was just the two of us. A moment for us to share and remember for the rest of our lives. He had this whole long, drawn-out speech done up, but I can only remember a part of it. I was so stunned and so in awe of what was happening, and of course I cried.”

  “Of course,” I said.

“So, I said yes, we ate breakfast, and then we had second breakfast.”

The two of us laughed while the guys shook their heads.

“And they say we’re bad when it comes to talking about sex,” Everett said.

Jessica and I shared another hearty laugh as Lucas pulled us all into the park. We hopped out and gathered up our things, and soon Kane and Ruby were at our sides helping us. They embraced me, and Kane kissed the side of my face, then all of us started for the picnic tables they had set up in the park. Things had been going really well with Everett’s parents. Kane and I were actually growing closer. He reminded me of a father I’d always dreamt of having as a child. And Ruby was always calling. Wanting to go shopping or wanting to come over with wine or wanting to take me out to dinner. It felt like I had become part of their family.

And I loved every second of it.

  “Everett! Catch!”

My head whipped over just in time to see the love of my life catch a frisbee that had been chucked at his head.

  “Lucas! Go long!” Everett exclaimed.

Lucas took off over the grass, lunging for the frisbee Everett launched before Cash was at his side. The four men played frisbee while we all set up the wine and the finger foods, and I got excited when I saw there was a massive blanket on the ground. The grass looked lush and comfortable, so after Ruby poured us each a glass of wine, Jessica and I settled down onto the blanket.

Then, she started checking her phone.

  “Everything okay?” I asked.

“Yep. Just Bianca freaking out about something. Per usual.”

“Tell her she’ll be okay for a few hours by herself.”

“One step ahead of you,” she said, grinning.

“So, have the two of you picked a date for the wedding yet?” I asked.

“Well, we know we don’t want to do it in the summer. The two of us get too hot. We were thinking next fall possibly? But there’s a part of Lucas that wants a winter wedding, and I have a feeling he’ll try to convince me to do it this year.”

“A winter wedding? That’s, like, five months from now.”

“Tell me about it. I told him if he wanted a wedding this year, he’d be hiring a wedding planner. Because I wasn’t about to take all of that on in the span of a few months.”

“I don’t blame you one bit. Honestly? Even if you don’t get married this year, a wedding planner still sounds like a good plan,” I said.

“I don’t really know how to go about planning a wedding, to be honest. I mean, I’ve never been someone who cares about the difference between champagne and eggshell.”

  “There’s a difference?”

  “Apparently,” she said, shrugging.

“Well, do you at least have some sort of a theme for the wedding? What have you guys discussed, other than the time of year?”

“Lucas wants an outside wedding, which is why I think we’ll hold off until fall of next year. A winter wedding is beautiful, but it’s not one that supports an outside venue.”

  “Obviously.”

“So, if we have a fall wedding, I was thinking about burnt orange, red, and yellow for the colors.”

“Oh my gosh, like the changing of the leaves. Jessica, that’s beautiful,” I said.

“I figured we could have the wedding outdoors while the leaves are changing so the colors all blend together and work. Then, we could have our reception indoors with a live band, an open bar, and some really good food.”

“So, you guys have really been talking about this.”

“Not about those details. The only things we have solidified are the possible outdoor wedding and the two times of the year we might want to have it. I’m spit balling based on what I would want for a fall wedding.”

“Have you thought about what you would do if you guys went with a winter wedding?”

“Pray it all comes together,” she said.

The two of us shared a laugh as we watched the guys toss the frisbee around. Everett kept winking at me and Lucas kept showing off his skills every time Jessica looked over there. And the beautiful thing was that Cayden kept calling them out on it. He kept yelling, “Stop flirting with the girls’ and “Jessica doesn’t give a shit about your frisbee-tackling skills!”

Cayden was a hoot. An absolute riot to be around.

“You know, whoever snags Cayden is never going to stop laughing,” I said.

“Right? She better have abs of steel, because she’s going to need them,” Jessica said.

“Either that, or she’ll develop them. Quickly.”

“He’s a health hazard if you’re eating, though. He cracked a joke at dinner with Lucas and I a couple of weeks ago and I almost died choking on my French fry.”

“That sounds absolutely terrible, and I still would like to see a video of it,” I said, giggling.

  “Look out!”

The frisbee came whizzing by our faces, causing Jessica and myself to squeal. Cash came barreling across the blanket to pursue it and the two of us fell apart in laughter. The boys jogged up to us to make sure we were okay, and then they refilled our wine glasses like the gentlemen they were.

“When are you ever going to find yourself a woman, Cayden?” I asked.

“When I’m done letting my freak flag fly,” he said, winking.

“You could find a woman that’s just as nasty as you are,” Jessica said.

“Trust me. There’s only ever been one woman that sort of scratched that surface. I’m good the way I am, ladies. No need to worry about me,” he said.

Jessica and I rolled our eyes before Cash’s voice boomed above everyone else.

  “Cayden! Catch!”

Jessica’s phone vibrated three consecutive times and I furrowed my brow. The guys ran back off to keep playing their frisbee game while Ruby set things
up at the picnic table. No matter what we did, we knew we’d never get that woman to sit down. So, we let her do her thing until she practically wore herself out. Jessica picked up her phone and I watched as worry crossed her features. Her fingers flew over the screen before she closed it out, but instead of settling it onto the ground she placed it in her lap.

  “Bianca again?” I asked.

“Yeah. I’m not sure what she’s worried about, but some of her words are misspelled and her sentences are kind of jumbled.”

  “Should you call her?”

“She hates talking on the phone when she’s upset. Hence why I’m not putting my phone down just—”

Her phone lit up again, only this time I decided to scoot over and read the message.

I have to call. Can I call? Please let me call.

“Oh, shit. That’s not good,” Jessica said.

“I thought you said she didn’t—”

“She doesn’t. Which is why I’m worried.”

And like clockwork, Bianca’s name popped up on the screen with an incoming phone call.

“Everything all right, girls?” Ruby asked.

“We just have a friend we don’t think is feeling well,” Jessica said.

“Well, if I need to take you guys anywhere, just let me know,” she said.

“Thanks. We really appreciate it,” I said, smiling.

  “Bianca? Hello?” Jessica asked.

I could hear how quickly Bianca was talking over the phone as I pressed my ear up to the receiver. Jessica grabbed my hand and we rose to our feet, then the two of us walked over toward the woods. Jessica tried to calm Bianca down. Telling her it was going to be all right, that we were here and if she needed us, we could come see her. We got to the edge of the woods, away from the Wilder family, then we put her on speakerphone.

And my heart broke when I heard her crying.

“Sweetheart, what is it?” I asked.

“Andrea. I’m in so… so much—”

She sniffled before she drew in a broken breath and my worried eyes whipped over to Jessica.

“Can you tell us what’s going on? Or do we need to come to the apartment?” Jessica asked.

“I don’t know what I’m going to do,” Bianca said.

“What do you need to do something about?” I asked.
