Alex cried out as the second orgasm took her. The hard clench and release of her muscles around his length sucked the seed right from his balls and he bit down on the long, deep, soulful growl that went through him as he gave her everything that he had, and his balls had been pretty damn full…
Jackson didn’t know how he held himself in place without his damn knees giving way, but he gathered his strength and moved her back onto her side of the bed, climbing in beside her and curling his body around hers. She was already asleep, but she had one hell of a smile on her lips.

“Jackson…” It wasn’t so much the high pitched squeal as the baseball bat of an elbow in the ribs that made him bolt upright in the bed and panic in the semi darkness of the room.
“What…?” He growled and prepared to kill someone.
“Baby… coming…” Alex panted as her hand clamped down on his and her nails dug deeply into his flesh.
“I hurt the cub again…” He growled out as he jumped from the bed and started towards the door.
“Don’t leave me…” Alex’s panicked voice made him turn back around and he walked right into the dresser, cursing and hopping as the pain shot up his leg…
“I was going to get the Doc…” He growled out as he limped back towards the bed.
“Well, what are you waiting for, go get her!” Alex growled back at him and he jumped in place, unsure what the hell to do.
Chapter sixteen
“Stay or go?” Jackson demanded.
“Go…” Alex bit out. He turned and made for the door. “Jackson!” She felt another hard pain grip her stomach like a vice. He spun back round…
‘Marcus… the cub’s coming, bring your mate…Now!’ Jackson was back at Alex’s side in a heartbeat. Down on his knees on the floor, he reached for her hand and let her squeeze it like she was trying to make a diamond, while he placed his other hand against her brow to sooth her.
“Why are you here?” Alex panted as the pain started to subside. “Go get Janice…” She bit out as another pain started to rollercoaster up inside of her.
“I called Marcus, he’s bringing her…” Jackson growled. “Breathe, baby…” He offered and she clenched her teeth and growled at him.
“Don’t- fucking- dare- look at- me- you…” She gave a little cry as the pain plateaued and he growled in frustration at not being able to help her.
“I love you, baby…” Jackson had been warned by Janice of what to expect, but she was mean, like demon mean…
“I- fucking- hate- you…” Alex gasped in several breaths as the pain started to decrease. “You- had- to- have- sex- tonight…” She bit out as the pain started up again. “Too- fast…” Alex bit out. Shouldn’t labour have been slow and steady?
Janice rushed through the door and Jackson looked more than relieved to see her. Marcus hovered like the damn wood in the hole at the edge of the doorway and Jackson growled a warning at him.
“I’m going.” Marcus held up his hands and backed away. “Good luck, Alex.” He called.
“Fuck- off.” Alex shouted at him and heard his deep chuckle come bouncing back to her.
“Let’s have a look…” Janice didn’t spare her blushes as she tossed back the sheet and dived right into her doctor duties. “Wow, you’re doing well, how long have you been in labour before you called for me?”
“Just started.” Jackson offered.
“Then I’m guessing she has a high tolerance for pain or she was sleeping damn soundly to miss the first half of labour…” Janice chuckled.
“He- had- sex…” Alex twisted her head on her neck and gave him a death glare. Jackson balked.
“You were…” He started to deny it and Janice chuckled.
“Well good for the two of you. It’s brought labour on nicely.” Janice chuckled again at the look on Jackson’s face. The man looked like he wanted to bury his head under the pillows and stay that way.
“Hate- him…” Alex growled out.
“Yep, that happens at times like this.” Janice flashed Jackson a sympathetic smile. “When the cub’s born she’ll love you again, right now suck it up cos it’s only going to get worse.”
Jackson groaned.

Alex sat on the bed and looked at Jackson sitting at the other end with Noah wrapped gently in his arms. The contrast was striking and she’d never imaged that she could love Jackson any more than she already did, but that was before she saw the way he looked down at their son.
Four big shifters stood behind him at the end of the bed, all of them were grinning like idiots, and all of them were cooing over the cub. Alex rolled her eyes at the sight of the big bad shifter bears that had melted on the spot the moment that they saw Noah.
“He looks like Alex.” Marcus growled gently.
“Thank God.” Shane grinned.
“He’s got Jackson’s ears.” Chance offered.
“He doesn’t need them.” Shane chuckled.
“He’s gonna be a good looking bear getting all the girls.” Reece nodded to himself.
“I think he looks like Marcus.” Alex announced and five heads snapped up and they stared at her in shock. Marcus had a Scooby Doo moment with the sound that came from his lips, and Jackson’s mouth fell downwards.
“Just wanted to see if you were all paying attention.” Alex grinned.
“That’s not…” Jackson shook his head on a growl.
“Damn, so not funny. Which mate did you want to kill me first, mine or yours?” Marcus looked pained. Alex chuckled.
“After what I just went through getting that huge bowling ball out of my tiny little…” Alex saw them all panic. Never had a room been cleared of men so quickly before- they practically elbowed each other aside to get out of the door. Marcus almost put a bear sized hole in the wall to escape.
“That was just plain mean.” Jackson chuckled as the sound of heavy feet scurried through the living room and outside.
“Yeah, but I got my guys all to myself again.” Alex grinned.
“You look tire, baby…” Jackson said, but when Alex’s face dropped like a stone, he kicked his backside into gear. “But so damn good after what you just went through.” He added.
“You know. You’re definitely getting better with those words of yours.” Alex chuckled again.
“It’s a slow process, but you make me a better man.” Jackson smiled.
“You bet your ass I do.” Alex brushed down the sheet over her lap. She felt empty inside, like she could finally take a deep breath again, but didn’t want too.
“You’re my blessing, Alex.” Jackson was getting way too good with words, and her upper lip quivered as she fought back the tears. “No-no, don’t cry, sweetheart.” Jackson had his arms full of Noah, but he pushed up to his feet and rounded the bed, settling down beside her with the cub resting against one big arm and the other wrapped around his mate pulling her against him.
“I’m just so happy.” Alex blubbered.
“Happy tears? Again?” Jackson growled in frustration. He thought the hormone part of this rollercoaster ride was over.
“Yes. Sorry.” She sniffled.
“Don’t be. You’re my mate. If you want to cry on my shoulder or kick me in the knee, it’s all good with me.” Jackson grinned at her.
“I wanted to wrench off your sack and hand it to you during labour…” She sniffled again.
“Ok, that might be a step too far…” Jackson chuckled. “Because then we couldn’t have any more of these…” He looked down at Noah.
“You’re planning the next cub already?” Alex balked and Jackson frowned.
“Well, I didn’t think you’d want him to be an only…”
“I might just do the sack thing…” Alex scowled and moved away from him, he pulled her right back against him again.
“But think of all the hot sex we’ll have practicing for the next one.” Jackson growled against her ear and felt her squirm against him.
“Well when you put it like that. You can keep your balls.” Alex chuckled as she reached over and brushed the outside of her finger against the soft skin of Noah’s face.
“Thank you, Alex. He’s beautiful.” Jackson growled as he looked down at his son.
“Is that a tear in your eye?” Alex teased and Jackson sniffed.
“No.”
“There’s a tear…” Alex grinned.
“No comment.” Jackson growled on a deep scowl.
“Softie bear.” Alex teased him. Jackson turned his eyes on her.
“Muma bear.” He beamed.
“Yeah, Mummy bear and Daddy bear, and our little baby bear.”
“I like it. I like it a lot.” Jackson leaned in and placed a gentle kiss against her lips.
“That’s all I get? After the labour I went through?” Alex teased him.
“A few weeks, and you’ll be getting a lot more than that.” Jackson gave her a deep, hungry growl. Alex waved her hand in front of her face.
“Did it just get hot in here?” She said.
“It’s always hot when you’re in the room.” Jackson gave her one of those damned sexy smiles.
“Damn, you have got better with those words.”
