Krinos (Take Over Series) Page 6

by Smith, T. L

I watch as he paces the room then stops and stands in front of me. I’m sitting on my bed, looking up to this beautiful brown-eyed man and watching him. He doesn’t speak straight away, just reaches up and slides his thumb down my cheek and onto my lips. He leans down and lightly brushes his lips over mine then steps back.

“I killed my father when I was twelve.” Holy shiz balls; was not expecting that out of his mouth. He doesn’t let me say anything, and he continues.

“I have a sister, who is twenty-three. She is my world; I would do anything to protect her. There are only four years between us, though I treat her like she is my daughter rather than a sister. She was my world until you stepped into it.”

“Growing up, we didn’t have a mother. She died giving birth to Cassandra, so our father raised us. My father was the devil—an evil, sadistic man. He used to hit me at least once a day for something; God, for anything.” He stops and runs his hands through his hair. He looks at me, and I can see the pain in his eyes; he doesn’t want to tell this story. I wonder if he has told anyone before.

“He never used to hit Cassandra, though; I always thought it was because she reminded him of our mother. I’m glad she never got to see the end of his fist, though she endured worse; I just didn’t know about it.” He goes to the door, and I’m afraid he is going to walk out, but he doesn’t. He slides down the door, plants his ass on the floor and continues.

“I remember waking up one night to Cassandra crying, I had never really heard her cry much before, so I thought it was very odd. I remember walking into her room and seeing my father laying on top of her, stroking her hair and telling her to be quiet. I didn’t quite work out was happening till she saw me standing in the doorway. And when she did, I saw red. My father saw me there and told me to fuck off back to bed. I didn’t, though; I walked into his room, where I knew he kept his gun, and grabbed it. When I returned, Cassandra had stopped crying and laid there, stiff as a doll, not moving with her eyes closed. I’ll have that image implanted in my head for as long as I live. She gave up hope that day; she thought I gave up.” He drops his head between his legs, and it breaks me; it breaks me for his sister, and it breaks me for him. He looks back up at me and continues, though; I think he needs it off his chest, and I let him.

“I froze while I stood there with the gun in my hand, pointed to the floor; I didn’t know what to do. Cassandra saw me there and shook her head no, though I knew, I just knew, he would continue. This obviously wasn’t his first time, and it more than likely wouldn’t be his last.”

“He relieved himself and stood up, and that’s when he noticed me standing there. He asked me if I wanted another beating, and if I didn’t, I was to get back to my room. I knew I couldn’t; I knew I had to end this, and I had to protect her. So, I raised the gun and shot him straight between the eyes.” He smiles when he says that.

“Cassandra and I were put in foster care and stayed there till we were old enough to leave. I was always in a fight there, getting into some kind of trouble: doing drugs, drinking alcohol, everything. That is, until I realized I would soon be old enough to leave. As soon as I was out, I got the first job I could find, and that was with your father. He has helped me with Cassandra, and for that, I give him my life.”

I’m not quite sure what I am meant to say to him. Obviously, he is a grown man now, but those demons would still be there. I lean down to him, go to my hands and knees and grab his face. When I look at him, I see everything I want; I see a man who fights for what he loves, fights to keep what he loves and most of all, loves hard.

His eyes meet mine, and I can tell it wasn’t easy for him. l lean in and kiss him softly on the lips and cheeks, placing soft kisses all over his face. His eyes don’t leave mine while I kiss him, and each time I lay a kiss on him, I look into his eyes.

I sit back and start undoing the buttons on his shirt, and he lets me. Once I have his shirt off, I stand up and drop my dress to the floor. I have no bra or knickers on, so I am fully exposed to him. He looks at me like my scars aren’t even there, like I’m the most beautiful woman he has ever laid eyes on.

He stands and up runs his hands up and down my stomach, slowly tracing my scars. I want to flinch away, but I don’t move. He backs me up to the bed and lowers me down on it. “I don’t fall in love, Princess, though with you, love isn’t a strong enough word. You own me, consume me; you’re my every thought. You silence my demons when I’m with you, and you also make them kill for you.”

I shiver at his words and watch as he brings himself on top of me, kissing over every scar that mars my body; he takes away the ugly and creates beauty.

His body descends on mine, and he worships me. I have never had sex like this before, with light, feather kisses being placed all over me, and smoldering mouth kisses that would make my knees go weak if I were standing.

He enters me slowly, and it’s nothing like we have ever had before. He looks me in the eyes and brings me up to a sitting position. I wrap my legs around him and set the pace; I can tell he is new to this, as well. We are people who usually just fuck, nothing more.

He looks me in the eyes while making love to me, and I see him, I see the man that hides himself from other people.

It’s beautiful, it’s passionate. I don’t know what to call it; I’ve never had it with a man before. Though some would call it making love, I would call it consuming my soul.

He pulls out of me, and I collapse on top of him. I can hear his heart beating like crazy and wonder if mine sounds the same. I feel his hands go through my hair and start pulling it out of its braid. I’m too tired to move, and really don’t want to, until I realize I will have to at least make an appearance again downstairs.

I get off Stefanos, stand up to grab my dress and shimmy back into it; Stefanos watches me do this and raises an eyebrow.

“I’m going to have to make an appearance.” He gets what I am saying, stands, and dresses, as well. When we are dressed, we head back downstairs with his hand possessively on my hip.

I find my father first, talking to Roberto. Father looks at me and shakes his head. “I see you found yourself a keeper there, Stefanos,” Roberto says to him.

“Oh, yes, and I am never letting her go.” I smile at him. Usually that would be cause for a punch in the face, though I think I will allow his possessiveness for the time being.

“Krinos, it was a pleasure meeting you, my dear, but this old man is off. I will see you in the near future for business.” I nod my head at him, and he leans in and kisses both my cheeks before he shakes Stefanos’ hand and leaves. I turn to my father and see him staring at me.

“I’m proud of you, Krinos. Roberto is a tough man to win over, and he was in awe of you.” I smile up at him and cuddle my father. “I love you, baby girl,” he whispers into my hair. He pulls back and looks at Stefanos.

“I can see that you have deep feelings for Krinos, but beware, Stefanos. I love you like a son, though she is my daughter; I will kill those who hurt her, and that includes you.” My father is scary man when he wants to be, and when he talks in Greek, and sternly, he is even scarier.

“I know, Kontos; she owns my soul. I don’t think I will receive it back anytime soon.” I smile up at him, and he leans down and kisses my forehead.

“I can see that, though I would still be afraid if you fuck this situation up. It’s her you will have to be afraid of, though,” my father says, bidding us goodnight as he walks away.

I walk up to bed and let Stefanos undress me; there isn’t much to take off, though. He places kisses on my back as he removes my clothes. I climb into bed and wrap the blanket around myself, watching as he undresses then climbs in next to me. He sees me watching and lies down so we are face to face; he brushes my hair out of my face and kisses me on my lips. We fall asleep facing each other, wrapped in our own little world, just for that night.

I wake up to the feeling that someone is looking at me; I open my eyes and see big, brown ones staring at m
e,

“You know, that’s a little creepy,” I tell him and snuggle myself into his side.

“I can’t help it that my woman is beyond perfection.” I laugh at him.

“If you wanted sex, all you had to do was say so, not suck up.” He pins me down, places my hands above my head and looks down at me.

“You are my perfection, Princess, so get any negative thoughts out of that pretty little head of yours.” I watch as he gets off me, standing to get dressed. That’s when I remember Druggy in the back of my car.

“Shit, shit; I forgot about Druggy.” Stefanos looks up at me and smiles.

“All sorted. Rock grabbed him last night; he’s in the basement.” He walks toward me when I stand out of the bed naked, and he only just slipped into his pants. He gets to his knees in front of me and kisses my hot spot; I put my head back in appreciation and let him do his thing. He licks hard, and I want to melt; he licks soft, and I want to scream.

He inserts his fingers while licking and biting, and I come almost straight away standing up. He stands up in front of me and kisses me on the mouth; I can taste myself on him. I don’t care; the way he grabs me and holds me is like he does fully own me.

He removes his lips, slaps me on my bare ass and walks out the door, throwing his shirt over his head. I stand there, thinking about us. Will it be beneficial to be in a relationship with someone while trying to take on a multi-dollar drug business? I guess I will find out in time.

I go downstairs and see Stefanos standing at the door with my father; they are talking to a beautiful lady who has striking black hair and grey eyes. She sees me coming and points to me. I have no idea what I just walked into, and I want to find out.

My father sees me coming and stands back to let the young lady in; I watch as she leans into Stefanos for a cuddle. I look back to my father, and he shakes his head, telling me no. I don’t know what he is talking about, but I know if he doesn’t remove his hands, I will permanently remove them for him.

“Krinos, this is Cassandra,” my father informs me.

I walk down the rest of the stairs to meet Stefanos’ sister; he places a protective arm around her and pulls her to his side. I look up at him and wonder if he had never wanted me to meet her. I walk to her and hold out my hand; she looks up at Stefanos, and he shakes his head yes.

“Hi Cassandra, I’m Eliza.” She reaches for my hand, and she has such a light grasp on it, I’m afraid I might break her.

She nods her head at me, and Rock walks out. He looks up to her, walks over and picks her up in a bear hug; she clings on to him like she did Stefanos. I look to Stefanos to see him watching with half a smile and look back to my father.

“Cassandra and Rock have been friends for as long as I have known them.” my father explains to clear my confusion. Rock puts her down, leaning in to kiss her cheek and she blushes. If I didn’t know better, I would say she likes him, and Rock likes her quite a lot, too.

“Cassandra, let’s go have lunch.” She looks to me then back to Stefanos and agrees. I watch as he walks out the front door without even a backwards glance to me. That just pissed me off; lucky I’m wearing black today.

Once they leave, I storm off downstairs with my knife and gun in hand. I pass my father on my way down, and he shakes his head and smiles.

As soon as I descend down the stairs, I see Druggy tied to the same chair Paul was; he has a mouth gag in and looks up at me. I take the gag out, and he spits on me.

“You stupid fucking bitch. Let me go.”

“Sure, no problem, jackass; just as soon as I’m done playing.” I smile and walk around his chair. He smells, and that makes me happy; he obviously pissed his pants.

“You will fucking die for this, you know. You have no idea who my father is.” Oh, the father threats; please, that’s the oldest in the book.

“Have you met my father? Because I’m sure mine is a lot scarier than yours.” I pull his head back and slice my knife right down his cheek. He screams for me to stop, and I don’t; I slice until his face is covered in blood then face him to see my masterpiece.

He drops his head and swears at me; if this man is in the mood to make me angrier, he just succeeded. I am already angry, and he isn’t helping the matter. Just as I’m thinking of something colorful and pretty to do to him, I hear footsteps coming down; I look up to see it’s my father. He looks at me then back to Druggy and asks him a question.

“Is your father Alberto?” Druggy looks up and smiles; we now have our answer. That would make sense; that was the night I met him in the toilets, after all. He is as disgusting as his father.

“Krinos, you will start war if you kill him.” I look up at my father and all hope drains from my face. I want to kill him; he doesn’t deserve to live.

“Kill him; fuck it. Who doesn’t love a war?” Druggy loses his smile then, and I gain mine. I watch as my father leaves; I grab a seat, place it in front of him and plonk my ass on it.

“So, Druggy, what should I do with you today?” I ask, tapping my knife to my cheek. I can feel the blood on my face and smile a sinister smile at him.

“He will kill you and everyone you love, bitch.” I know he is referring to his father, and at the moment, I don’t care. I stand up and undo his belt then pull down his zipper for his cock to spring free.

“Oh, looky; you have a tiny one, poor buddy.” He seethes at me then spits at my face again; this time, I’m pretty sure it was blood.

I lean over to him and stab him in his penis; I watch as he screams. His screams turn into sobs, and there is nothing he can do it about it.

I stand up and shoot him in the head to end his misery then look down at myself; I am covered in blood. I thought when I finally took someone’s life it would take a part of my soul. Though I don’t believe it has, I think it has made me stronger. It gives me belief that, no matter what happens, I can do whatever it takes to get my job done.

I hear footsteps and people talking upstairs and wonder if it’s smart to go up there dressed like this. I look in the mirror, and my face has blood all over it, as well. I try my best to wipe as much off as possible and don’t succeed. I need to go for a shower and scrub myself.

Once I open the door, my father and one of his goons are standing there, waiting for me.

“Feel better, Krinos?” he asks, smiling at me. I nod my head, and he tells his men to go down and clean the mess. The goon looks me up and down, shakes his head and calls another man to help him. I smile at my father and take off to go wash up.

Once I reach the kitchen, I see who is here and look up to meet Stefanos, Cassandra and Rock staring at me. I smile at them and go to walk past them. Just as I’m about to get to the stairs, I hear one of the goons yell, “She stabbed his fucking penis!” I laugh an evil laugh and walk up to my room.

I’m standing in the shower, watching the blood drip off me, when the shower door is torn open; I see Stefanos standing there, looking me up and down.

“Why didn’t you wait for me?” I scoff at him and turn away; he reaches into the water and turns me back around.

“Why, Princess?” I look him in the eyes and contemplate hitting him in the face.

“Are you ashamed of me, Stefanos?” I ask him; he shakes his head like he’s trying to clear it and death-stares me.

  “Why would you think that?”

“Because you shielded your sister away from me like I was poison; you didn’t want her around me for too long, did you? Are you afraid I might rub off on her?” I raise my eyebrows at him, and he steps in and pushes me hard against the wall of the shower. I hear and feel my head bang from the impact and look at him.

“If you don’t remove your hands now, I will give you the same treatment I gave Druggy.” He chooses to ignore me, and I smile at him and lean in like I am going to kiss him. He looks me in the eyes, and when he does, I knee him in the balls; he drops like a sack of shit.

“Don’t you ever fucking man-handle me again; next time, I won’t be
so nice.” I step out of the shower and look back to see him cradling his balls, getting soaking wet. I smile and head to my room to get changed.

Just before I grab some clothes, my phone goes off; I head over to see it’s a text from Roberto, inviting Stefanos and me for dinner at his restaurant. I agree and tell him minus Stefanos then find something nice to wear.

I stand in my mirror in my white, short dress, put my hair in a sideways braid and apply make-up. As I’m applying the eyeliner, Stefanos comes walking out. He looks at me and I can see the anger in his face.

“Where do you think you’re going?” he asks. I don’t even bother answering him; I ignore him and continue getting ready. I sit on my bed, slide my high heels on and stand to leave.

“Have a great night, Stefanos,” I say and wave to him as I head out my door to go downstairs.

I reach the bottom of the stairs and see Stefanos following me; I head into the kitchen to say goodbye, and I see Cassandra there. I smile up at her and walk over.

“Hi. Lovely to meet you; I’m sure I’ll never see you again, so have a great life,” I say. I walk toward the front to leave, but Stefanos grabs hold of wrist.

“Let go, Stefanos,” I say to him.

“Why did you say that to Cassandra? You think you can get rid of me? You’re dumber than I thought.” I swing for him, but he sees it coming and grabs my other arm with his free hand; he pulls me so I’m nose to nose with him.

“You might be the new boss, Princess, but in this relationship, I’m the fucking boss,” he says with his mouth almost touching mine.

“You will never be the boss of me, Stefanos; let’s get that straight first. Second, this isn’t a relationship. You lost that right when you thought I wasn’t good enough.” I try to pull free, but he is stronger than me and won’t release me.

“I never said you weren’t good enough, Princess. Don’t blow this out of proportion; I had things to deal with. I hadn’t told Cassandra about you, and I wanted to tell her privately first. She was the only person I cared for until this hot-headed princess walked into my life and rocked my world.” He brings his lips down on mine and devours me. I’m unsure if I want to kiss him at first, until he pulls my braid because I’m not kissing him back.
