Helen stared right back, her shoulders set as if awaiting some sort of military inspection. “I’m telling you because I will be needing giagiá’s ring,” she said. “And I know it’s in the safety deposit, so—”
Aria’s jaw dropped. “Honey… Grandma’s ring? I didn’t even know you were seeing anyone.” She looked over at Nik, but for once he didn’t join her in baffled eye contact. He was still staring at their daughter, giving Aria a perfect view of the stripes of silver at his temples and the lines bracketing his narrowed eyes.
“I’m not,” Helen said. “I mean, we’re not together. Yet. She’s a PhD student at the university. I, ah, saw her at a lab the other day.” Helen’s cheeks darkened. “Oh, come on, Ma, don’t look at me like that.”
With great difficult, Aria toned down her blatant astonishment. “You want grandma’s ring for a girl you saw at a lab the other day?”
Before Helen could reply, Nik spoke suddenly. “I’ll get it tomorrow.”
Aria’s head whipped around to her husband. “You’ll what?”
“Thanks, Dad.” Helen left the room nonchalantly, as if she hadn’t just turned her mother’s world upside down.
She blinked helplessly at Nik. “Am I missing something?”
He pulled her sketchbook gently from her hands before hauling her into his lap. Aria huffed, fidgeting as if this weren’t the most comfortable place in the world. He held her tight, as always, his hands cupping her belly, his chin resting on her shoulder. “She’s in love, chrysí mou.”
“She’s always in bloody love.”
“But some kinds are different.”
“You can’t possibly know—”
“Do you trust me?”
She laughed, sliding a hand over his cheek. “Oh, stop that. You know I do.”
Nik pressed a kiss to her lips. “Good. Our daughter is in love. But, since she is much smarter than me, I’m sure she won’t make a mess of it the way I did.”
A wry smile twisting her lips, Aria shifted until she was straddling him, face-to-face. “Oh, I don’t know. I think you handled things okay, in the end.”
“Was that praise I just heard? From my lovely wife? Surely not.”
“Oh, fuck off,” she snorted.
“I’d rather fuck you.”
“Behave.”
“I’d rather not.”
“Kiss me, then.”
“Now that,” Nik grinned, “I can do.”
THE END
Thank you for reading Sweet on the Greek. It would mean the world to me if you could share your thoughts about it on Amazon or Goodreads. Word of mouth is an author’s best friend. And don’t forget to take a sneak peek at the next book in a few pages…

Author’s Note
Well, this is it. The end of the first series I ever started.
Except not really, because I’m writing a spin-off.
I always intended to write Olu/Keynes’s story, and I later decided to write Yen’s as well. (Yen isn’t mentioned in this book, but she’s Theo’s little sister.) You may be wondering why I’m not writing their romances within the Just for Him series. There are a couple of reasons.
Firstly, Yen is a lesbian so there is no ‘him’ in her book, LOL. Secondly, I want both Olu and Yen’s books to be… soft. Nice. Pleasant! Murder- and blackmail- and trauma-free. In other words, nothing like this series. I want a different, very fluffy feel. I mean, I usually fail at fluffy, but I’m doing my best, okay?
Anyways, look out for their spin-off duet . Olu’s book is a friends-to-lovers, kinda-second-chance thing, and Yen’s is new adult! A whole new sub-genre. Fun fun fun.
Until then, I just want you guys to know how much I appreciate you. Book 1 in this series, Bad for the Boss, changed my career. If you’ve been with me since then, I hope you realise what you’ve done. Every book I’ve written since has been by your grace.
Acknowledgments
Thank you to Em and Zahra for coaxing my questionable ideas and terrible first drafts into a book. Thank you to Sam for telling me football stuff when I asked, even though you’ve been trying to do that for the past six years and I’ve been dodging you at every turn. Thank you to Yasi and her family and their boring breakfasts. (Bet you thought I wouldn’t put that in, huh?) Thank you to Ellen Baier, patron extraordinaire. You make me smile every day, and you don’t? Even? Know it? Except now you do, because I just told you.
Thank you, everyone.
About the Author
Talia Hibbert is a writer and educator from the U.K., by way of both the West Indies and West Africa. She wrote her first romance aged 12, and was promptly scolded by a teacher because her story of love in the jungle wasn't 'proper'.
Since then, Talia's stories have improved in quality and hugely increased in heat. She now writes steamy, diverse, contemporary romance set in the U.K. Her work still isn’t proper, but it is a lot of fun.
Her interests include beauty, junk food, and devouring all forms of media. She lives in a small English town that doesn’t even get Deliveroo, and kisses her high school sweetheart every day. Y’know; for luck.
And, as Talia would say... that's all, folks. Love and biscuits!
