4 and ½ shamrocks from ck2skwips and critiques

“This is the first book that I have read by Ms. MacInnis and I thought it was a good read. Daisy is an everyday woman who has faced hard times. She is unsure of any intentions Sam might have and he has to work twice as hard to get past her defenses. Both are an equal match for each other. Both have faced heartbreak in the past and neither wants to go through it again. Throughout the book you catch glimpses of Daisy’s brother and sister so this book intertwines with their stories also. Ms. MacInnis has penned a story that fits right in with the Wayback Texas series and I look forward to reading more books by this author!”

Five angels from Fallen Angel Reviews

“Ms. MacInnis has penned a story that fits right in with the Wayback Texas series and I look forward to reading more books by this author!”

“Ms. Abbey MacInnis has written a great book about a couple of people who, though single, were not close to becoming a couple, not even friends. She took the best, and worst, of the individuals and wove them into a fragile couple. The more they interacted, the more this reader could see their situations were delicate. MacInnis seemed able to excel in her depiction of the possible connection between the two main characters.

Her supporting cast was so important and, although there were surprises concerning some of them, they made the storyline even more dimensional. The journey through the problems toward a happily-ever-after was an exceptional trip that I was thrilled to be allowed to take. The sexual scenes were well written and gave sensuality a new meaning. I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes a little (unexpected) violence as well as a beautiful love story.”

“Daisy and Sam are both engaging characters, given to snappy dialogue and the odd moment of double entendre. While much of this story is very heartfelt, wonderful touches of humor lighten it throughout. Friends – and secondary characters in general – contribute to the plot and provide a good deal of side interest themselves.

This reader must confess to having a serious soft spot for the whole Wayback Series. The familiar town is home to all sorts of cowboy happenings, and it's great to greet again quaint shops, the Dewdrop Inn, familiar references to the rodeo, and more.

Kudos to Abbey MacInnis, but I do have one question: where DO I get a recipe for Wild Wayback Chocolate Cake?”
