Chronicles of Eden - Act VIII Page 45

  “Break?” Daniel worried.

“You must keep in mind that this spell causes their inner nature to raise to very high levels. Their minds and even their bodies can only endure so much before they break down. Tell me, how easy was it for you to form your shield and sword this time? How was it compared to the times before?”

“It was a lot easier for me,” Daniel answered looking to his glowing blade. “Not only have I been feeling their auras more naturally but grabbing hold of this magic in my head has become easier too.”

“That’s because your love with them has grown, the bonds you share with your mates has strengthened and the energy they provide you has increased. In fact I dare say the sword and shield you’ve created now are actually stronger than the ones you’ve made before. Now, drop your shield, Daniel Sorres. Ease up on the magic you are using and allow your mates to think clearly again.”

Daniel slowly breathed out and relaxed his mind, letting the stars he saw from his mates pull back a little while he concentrated on releasing his shield. Sure enough the magical barrier flickered then dissolved away, leaving only his armored gauntlet with his free hand. After doing so he felt the surge of energy inside him diminishing slightly. Looking around at his mates he saw them slowly regain some of their senses, their eyes focusing again while they sighed and murmured softly as if waking from a dream.

“Are you girls alright?” Twilight giggled.

  “I think… I came,” Triska shakily replied.

“I know I did,” Alyssa breathed out.

“I’m so wet now,” Specca purred holding her hands down between her legs.

“My bracelets couldn’t defend me from that,” Kroanette softly said. “And I’m glad.”

“That felt good,” Luna sighed in delight.

“That was incredible,” Falla breathed out as she sat up from Squeak’s bosom.

Squeak nodded and weakly squeaked something as she blinked a few times to clear her vision.

Pip slowly fluttered up off the ground and shook her head get her wits back before giggling and flying around in tight circles.

“That was fun! Again! Again! Again!”

All the girls then took notice of Daniel standing before them holding his magical sword, an amused smile on his face as he saw his mates reeling from their pleasure overloads.

“Glad you liked it,” he said with a wink.

“As I was explaining to Daniel Sorres,” Twilight spoke up. “The more love and closer connections you all have with him the more monster energy he will receive with the Synergy. Of course right now drawing upon your auras for this will be quite demanding for you, however there is a way to make this easier for everyone that I think you’ll enjoy.”

“What do you mean easier for everyone?” Daniel asked upwards.

“Well, the more love and the deeper the bond you have with your mates the more energy you will receive from them. In a way, you just need to exercise your bond with your girls. If the love they have for you increases even more, the less demanding it will be for them to give you enough energy to use your magic. Think of it as building up their reserves. The higher it is for them the less they’ll be drained of energy and crippled during your magical uses.”

“Exercise?” Daniel repeated. He blinked then noticed all the girls watching him with immoral smiles as they knew exactly where this was going.

“I think she means you need to spend a lot more time with us, Daniel,” Specca giggled.

“The more you work out with us, the more energy we can give you,” Alyssa said with a wink.

Daniel looked around at his harem with a puzzled expression for a while then smiled awkwardly as he thought he might have an idea as to what they were getting at.

  “Wait, Twilight, are you saying…”

“That’s right. The more you make love to them, the stronger the bond will become. If you want to become more powerful with your magic, and also help your mates build up their endurance so they are not rendered in shock on their knees from the effects of your magic, you’re going to have to train with them more. You know exactly what I mean, don’t you?”

“Train with them,” Daniel chuckled as all the girls giggled at him. “Who would have thought making love to my beautiful mates would be considered training?”

Looking to his sword as he angled it in his hand he thought about what it would take for him to become more proficient with his unique form of magic, and decided that in all honesty it was going to be worth all the effort it would take.

“Well, we do have to reach Ruhelia still,” he reasoned with a shrug. “After all we have important work do be doing, can’t put that aside for anything.”

After a pause he turned his confident grin to his girls as they watched him with provocative smiles on their faces, all of them knowing what he was going to say next.

“But along the way we’ll have to try and improve our Synergy. Won’t we, girls?”

“Yes, Daniel,” all the girls agreed nodding, with Squeak squeaking in agreement. They slowly got back onto their feet and walked over to their mate, admiring both him and the weapon he forged with the power of their emotions for him.

“Don’t worry, Daniel,” Kroanette assured. “We’ll help you train to become an even greater knight.”

“We’ll work really hard, just for you,” Falla purred as she grabbed onto Daniel’s free arm and gently traced her hand along it.

“Make sure to play with us a lot!” Luna cheered with a hop.

“Play play play!” Pip giggled as she flew around everyone in a blue blur.

Triska gently ran her fingers along Daniel’s magical sword then smiled coyly at him.

“I’ll help you practice your swordplay, Daniel,” she promised with a twitch of her eyebrow. “In both ways.”

“What about me?” Kitten yelled in her head. “Having sex is what I was born to do! Let me help my master, he can fuck me all day if it will help him with his training!”

‘He needs to have sex with those he loves, that doesn’t include you.’

“But… but… but!” Kitten whined hopping up and down. “Oh c’mon, this isn’t fair!”

Daniel chuckled at seeing all the girls hanging close to him with promises that they would assist him with his ‘training’ to the fullest. He then looked at his sword while holding it out ahead of him, all the girls and himself marveling in what they were able to create together because of the bond they shared.

“I’ll never let anything harm any of you,” he promised, with the girls all smiling lovingly at him as he had a focused gaze set on his sword. “That I can promise without a shadow of a doubt.”

Peeking out from behind a bookshelf Star watched Daniel and his girls with a curious expression, her eyes going over his magical weapon then back to him as she saw him standing proudly among those he loved. She mewed softly then slowly turned and walked away, a blank look on her face as she seemed to become lost in thought. The way Daniel was so adamant about defending those he loved poked in her mind against a glaring memory, the smell of smoke and blood coming back to her while the world around her faded to black.

“This is the end for you, countess,” a woman’s voice angrily declared.

“Really now?” another chuckled. “Star, be a good girl for me and show these traitors who the real queen of this land is, and who is not to be spoken to in such a manner.”

In the grand hall of her home Star warped across the court to where several women clad in dark robes had charged in through the front door, the combatants holding a few torches while they brandished daggers in hand that had crimson jewels incrusted in their hilts. The jinx warped into a kick that knocked away one of the women before jumping back into a kick that connected with another’s face. Landing down she merely glanced to the side to see a woman winding back with her dagger, only for the blade to fly out of her hands and strike into the neck of her friend behind her. The two that were hit by the jinx recovered and swung at the girl with their
blades, both watching in surprise as Star warped away before they followed through into each other’s sides with slick crunches. Star reappeared further away with her dress flowing around her waist, yowling with a fierce glare at the fighters as they all glared at her with frustration.

Even those that were struck by their own weapons snarled at the jinx with their crimson eyes, none of them dropping from their injuries as they all recovered from the skirmish with blood dripping down their cloaks onto the floor. Star shook her head slowly with a scowl at the fighters, knowing that of course they would still be standing even after taking daggers to their chests and necks, and then reached behind her into a carrying bag she had slung over her shoulder.

“My pet knows how to take such good care of her master,” the woman’s voice playfully called out in the hall. “As well as how to deal with the likes of you and your fallen countess.”

Star narrowed her eyes then warped in front of one of the intruders instantly, pulling out a wooden stake from her bag that she then plunged into the heart of the woman. As she screamed hoarsely and dropped back Star yanked out two more stakes from her bag, the jinx warping into a kick that knocked another opponent back into a stagger before she followed through and jammed a stake into the woman’s heart with a heavy strike. Without wasting a moment Star jumped back with a flip then turned and plunged the other stake into another foe’s heart, the women screaming and dropping dead while the others glared at the jinx in frustration and low hisses. A torch from one of the fallen rolled to the side, lighting the carpet on fire then a long flowing curtain near the windows. As the flames spread and the hall was bathed in a warm light Star slowly glared around at the intruders of her home with her differently colored eyes and bared teeth.

“What the hell is this creature?” one shouted out.

  “Kill her!”

A woman swung her blade at the jinx with a fierce yell before Star jumped into a grapple with her arm, grabbing hold of the hand while her legs kicked the woman in the face and held onto her shoulder. Star swung the woman down onto the ground, snapped the arm to the side which broke with a loud crack, got her to let go of her dagger as she screamed in pain, then yanked out another wooden stake from her bag that she promptly struck down into the heart of the intruder. Rolling backwards Star brought out two more stakes from her pouch, teleporting herself behind two other robed fighters that she then rolled back between. Jumping up onto her feet she struck a stake through the heart of one of them then reached out with both arms and blocked the other’s swing of her dagger by stopping her arm just below the handle. Star grabbed the woman’s hand and jumped up with her knee, breaking the arm of the fighter before she knocked away the dagger from her limp grip and then jammed the stake into her heart with a heavy crunch.

“You bitch,” another scorned with malice. “How could you side with this wretched predator?”

“To hell with you!” one yelled as she ran towards Star. As she tried swinging her blade at the girl a burning chunk of the ceiling dropped down onto her, crushing the woman into the marble tiles while smoke and fire spread throughout the court. Star merely watched the fighter who slowly stood up while lifting the large amount of debris above her, the invader’s crimson eyes glaring at the jinx before Star promptly struck a stake into her heart with a crunch. The woman dropped back down under the burning rubble while the other robed fighters hissed at the jinx. As they did one glanced over into the court at someone who was watching from the top of an overlook above the grand hall.

“Don’t worry about the fires,” the woman chuckled while gently drumming her fingers and long crimson nails on the railing. “We can easily clean up the mess afterwards. Dispose of those misguided souls, show them no mercy.”

Star pulled out a stake from her bag then warped over to the side, promptly swinging back and jamming the wooden spike into the heart of an attacker behind her before she teleported next to another that she kicked upside the head. The jinx yanked out a stake and rammed it into the stunned fighter’s heart then warped into a grapple of another nearby foe, hooking her leg around the woman’s neck and swinging her down onto the ground with a heavy thud. Star pulled out a stake and quickly struck it down into the intruder’s heart before she stood up and pulled out another two in her hands, her eyes glaring around at the remaining fighters in the hall as well as those that were gathering outside the main entrance of the estate under the night sky. The armed combatants that were still standing in the hall stared at Star in frustration and fear as she gave a low yowl at them while holding the wooden stakes inversely in each of her hands. The smell of blood and smoke filled the air while the hushed whispers of the intruders conveyed their growing concern of trying to reach their main target with this deadly cat standing in their way.

“You can try and run if you wish,” the woman dared from the balcony. “It makes no difference. My pet will be seeing you again soon, you and your beloved countess to whom you’ve mistakenly given your loyalty to.”

“You will burn in hell,” an intruder spat out. “Your time to rule has come to an end. We’re going to cleanse this land of you and your wretched followers. And that goes for your accursed cat too.”

“Haha, really now?” the woman laughed. “How very amusing. Such defiance and ignorance until the very end. Oh well, such is your fate I suppose. Star?”

Star glanced back to the woman with a meow while her tails slowly waved around behind her.

  “No mercy.”

Slowly Star turned her eyes back onto the fighters as she hissed through her teeth. All the invaders tensed up while the jinx glared at them with fire spreading throughout the hall in wide flowing waves. As the cinders and ash floated through the air and the wavering light from the flames filled the hall with a warm bloom, the grandfather clock at the end of the court continuing to tick softly with each passing moment. The clockwork kept moving at a rhythmic pace, the hands on the dial moving ever so slowly and gently, and the swinging pendulum rocked side to side without ever ceasing.

All while the screams and dying cries of the intruders sounded off in the hall as the jinx they had encountered mercilessly slayed them all in the fashion that she was taught to do in order to fight off those that challenged her master, those that had strayed from her command and dared to oppose her, those that she read about and understood in every aspect.

Those that she killed without remorse or hesitation, with a wooden stake driven through their hearts.

  Chapter 14

  Trouble Inbound

In the world of Eden it wasn’t always clear when danger would rear its ugly head. Everything could be going well, the day would seem sunny and full of promise, and there would be no cause or reason to have any concerns about what lay ahead. Of course living in a world where lustful monsters roamed the lands it shouldn’t come as a surprise that trouble could be on its way at any moment, either from far, far away or right around the bend. Even during peaceful times it was best to remain ready for when these conflicts would inevitably arrive.

It was better to be prepared to face the threat than run unexpectedly into it.

“So let me get this straight,” Clover dryly clarified. Sitting back against the edge of the bath with her long golden hair floating to either side of her body the elf had a perplexed look on her face as she attempted to make sense of what was being told to her.

“Dan’s magic is your sexual lust for him, which he is able to turn into magical power for himself?”

“That’s right,” Triska confirmed from behind. She was sitting on a small stool with her back turned to the elf and her sheathed sword strapped to her belt on her hip, the two of them being the only ones in the bathing room.

“And he gets his power from your ‘monster energy’, which is created from you all wanting to have sex with him because you’re monsters.”

“Yep,” Triska said while leisurely examining her fingernails.

“And in order for him to get better with
using this magic he needs to have sex with you all more often to make your love for him stronger.”

“Essentially,” Triska agreed with a shrug.

“Alright,” Clover slowly said. “Well if that isn’t the most fucked up thing I’ve ever heard of I don’t know what is.”

“We were a bit surprised as well.”

“As much as I’m curious about how the hell all that is possible to begin with, I have a more prominent question to ask,” Clover mentioned before glancing back to the teen. “Why are you telling me all this?”

  “Just making conversation.”

“Fair enough. Next question, why are you making conversation with me?” Clover retorted before looking back down with a grunt. “Why are you in here instead of out there having sex with Dan? I mean you just got done explaining why you practically need to be humping him every second of the day now, isn’t that how he’s going to get stronger or something? Why aren’t you doing that instead of sitting in here talking to me when I’m trying to take a peaceful bath?”

Triska lightly drummed her fingers on the handle of her sword before breathing out slowly.

“Right now Daniel and the other girls are busy. Not with that, but with other things. So I wanted to take this moment to have a little chat with you, Clover.”

“Seriously?” Clover scoffed. “You wanted to come in here and brag about how you having sex with Dan is essentially an honored duty now? I don’t need to be hearing about this crap.”

“No, that’s not why I came in here. I told you about Daniel’s magic because I honestly found it to be very interesting and I thought you would think the same. However the real reason I came in here is to ask you about last night.”

“What about last night?” Clover questioned with a small blush. “I already told you that my dream with Dan the other day was just a stupid dream, nothing more. Just get off my back about it already, would you?”
