“Yeah shorty was buggin’ the fuck out,” Timmy said.
“Hold up nigga if my memory serves me correctly they were both all over each other,” Quita said.
“Ok, ok slow down. I didn’t mean anything by it. Fuck. I’m not worried bout that nigga, I’m thinking ‘bout us,” Timmy told her.
“A’ight nigga I’m just making sure.” Timmy’s line started to beep.
“Look ma, I got another call on the line I need to handle. What you doing later?” he asked.
“Oh, me and my girls is supposed to step out and have a few drinks”
“A’ight ma, I might see you out there.”
“Okay bye,” she said hanging up. It was a little after eleven and Quita knew if she didn’t hurry up and get ready it would be way past one o’clock before they made it to the club. She had to pull herself together.
Quita rolled a spliff and went out on the balcony to smoke since Shiki didn’t allow smoke of any kind around her son. ‘Little muthafucka probably end up smoking more trees than me when he get older anyway,’ Quita thought. After she smoked she went ito her room high as hell to find an outfit to rock.
Even though it was Saturday night she didn’t feel like dressing up, so she grabbed her see through halter top, a black bra to go under it, and some tight Levis jeans with the boots to match.
Her nails and hair were done so all she had to do was shower. On the way to the bathroom her phone started ringing.
“What up ho?” The caller asked.
“Not shit,” Quita said.
“Are you rocking with us tonight?” Kali asked.
“Who dis?”
“It’s ya damn sister. Damn you don’t know me now?” Kali asked her.
“Oh, shit I didn’t catch your voice. Hell yeah I’m going, why wouldn’t I go?” Quita said.
“Because I know miss stick in her ass be trippin’ out on you,” Kali said.
“Girl fuck her. I’m grown. Like I told her ass today she ain’t moms or pops.”
“Well Lexi, Jade and Rachel are at my crib, and we got a bottle of E&J so come on.”
“That’s what’s up. Give me like thirty to forty-five minutes and I’ll be there,” Quita told her. Lexi grabbed the phone from Kali to speak to Quita.
“Oh yeah Quita, did you and ol’ boy hook up yet?” Lexi asked her.
“Look who’s being nosey now. I will give you play, by play when I get there,” Quita said leaving her hanging.
“Ok nasty now hurry up and wash ya funky ass and come on,” Lexi laughed.
“I never stink ho. I’m always fresh.” Quita told her.
“Calm down, Quita I’m just playing,” Lexi said.
“Whatever bye heifer,” Quita said and they hung up.
Quita couldn’t wait to tell her girls about her and Timmy’s freak session the night before.
Chapter 3
Quita got dressed and joined Lexi and the rest of her girls at Kali’s house for drinks before the club. They were all too drunk to go anywhere, but they couldn’t miss a night at the club.
“Girl, what the fuck are you wearing that see through shit for? Looks like you trying to get some attention tonight or something,” Rae said to Quita.
“Damn Rachel why you always got something smart to say?” Lexi said trying to keep Quita from blanking on Rae.
“Oh, don’t worry Lexi this bitch just mad because she can’t look as fly as me on her best day,” Quita spat.
“I told you to shut your fuckin’ mouth. You know when she done had a couple of drinks she’ll let you have it friend or foe,” Lexi warned.
Quita wasn’t about to let that shit ride. She was livid that Rae was trying to be her damn mother, and she was walking around smelling like onions and sweat socks.
“You know what? I’m so fuckin’ tired of everybody trying to tell me what to do, I’m fuckin’grown!” She shouted over the club music catching the attention of all the patrons.
Kali knew her little sister had a temper. She had to calm her down before she beat the shit out of Rae and ended up getting barred from the club. Kali grabbed her by the arm and tried to lead her to the dance floor.
“Quita come on lets go dance.”
“I’m good, but you might wanna get your girl. ‘Cause she might not walk out this bitch tonight fuckin’ with me.” Before Quita could finish going off, Kali grabbed her arm so they could hit the floor. Queen Pen’s “A Party Ain’t a Party” was blaring through the speakers, so Quita went to the floor to rep.
As she danced she admired herself in the mirrors along the wall. She blocked everybody out, and went into a zone until the DJ threw on something slow. She was not about to be on the dance floor.
“Oh, hell naw,” Quita said looking around. Shit, it was like a ghost town on the floor. The old school drunks were the only ones who danced to slow songs.
Quita grabbed Kali so they could hit the bar up.
“Let me get a double shot of Hennessey and a Heineken.” Quita told the bartender.
“Hold up Quita. Come here and drink a blue flame with us.” Rae told her.
“Man, I’m not fucking with y’all.” Quita waved her off.
“Awww, come on Quita.” Rae probed. Quita just looked at Rae with a screw face.
“Don’t tell me you still pissed at me from earlier.” Rae said.
“No. I don’t get mad. I get even!”Quita told her twisting her lips up.
“Shut the hell up Quita, and take the drink with us,” Kali jumped in.
“Ok, Quita go ahead and be mad. But if you take this drink with us I’ll pay for it.” Rae told her.
“Bet, ‘cause you know I don’t pass up a drink when it’s free,” Quita told her. The girls laughed in unison.
“Wait, hold up. What’s in it?” Quita asked.
“Well it’s called a Blue Flame. It’s 151 rum set on fire, but you gots to make sure you drink it while it’s still on fire, and fast because the straw will melt.” Kali told her.
“Oh shit! I dunno if I want to get down with that,” Quita admitted.
“Come on Billy Bad Ass, I know you not scared of a drink,” Rae teased. Quita just looked at her girls with resistance. She was a little bit scared of dinking something with fire, but she couldn’t let them know.
“First of all never insult my intelligence, let’s do this,” she told them.
All of the girls ordered, and lined up their drinks.
“A’ight bitches bottoms up!” Quita yelled.
After they finished their drinks, Quita’s head was spinning out of control because she drank that shit way too fast.
“Come on y’all lets hit the floor!” Rae and Lexi screamed in unison.
“Y’all go ahead. I don’t think I can get up right now,” Quita said.
“No you wanted to hang with the big girls, so Ms. I’m Grown get ya ass up and lets dance,” Kali teased.
“Ok damn,” she said getting up. She swayed a little and then sat back down.
“I’ll be out there in a minute,” she told them.
“Bye,” they all said and pranced to the floor to shake what their mommas gave them. Quita was so fucked up from that drink her eyes felt like they were crossed. She couldn’t do anything but watch her girls having fun from afar.
“Would you like something to drink ma?” She heard someone speaking behind her. Quita spun around for what felt like hours. She was face to face with a brotha so fine all she could do was stare at him like a deer caught in the headlights. When he saw her he shook his head and licked his lips. Quita ignored the fake wannabe L.L Cool J. and gained enough strength to join her girls on the dance floor. Before she got up old boy stopped her.
“Can I get your name beautiful?” Quita gave him the screw face, but politely told him.
“My name is Laquita, and yours?”
“It’s Ramari,” he answered.
“Well nice to meet you,” she told him.
“Can I offer you a drink?” He asked.
“No, thank
you. I have my own money if I need a drink,” she said lying her ass off. She knew damn well she didn’t have any money.
“I’m sure you can buy your own drink shorty. I just want to get you one, so you can save your money. So what will it be?” He asked pressing the issue. She finally gave in and held her empty bottle up in the air letting him know that she was drinking a Heineken.
“Cool,” Ramari said, and ordered her beer and himself a Tangeray mixed with orange juice. They kept each other company for twenty minutes or so before Quita wanted to dance. She got up and left him sitting by himself. ‘Damn he must be from out of town ‘cause I ain’t never seen him before,’ she thought.
Quita did a quick scan of the dance floor to find out where her girls were, and joined them dancing to Biggie Smalls “One More Chance”. Quita loved Biggie so much she learned all of his songs verbatim.
Lexi was in her own little world grinding on this fine ass nigga.
“Yo, where in the hell is Kali?” Quita asked Rae.
“Girl, I dunno. She been missing for a minute now,” Rae told her.
Quita walked off and went to her favorite spot on the floor in front of the mirrors and danced her ass off all by herself.
Ramari sat at the bar watching Quita move her body in like she got paid to do it. ‘I know she got some good pussy,’ he thought to himself. She was moving her body like a snake. She knew he was watching her.
Ramari threw back the rest of his drink and went over to the floor to dance and possibly cop a feel of Laquita’s apple shaped ass.
She was so fucked up she didn’t notice him standing behind her. The second she turned around and focused her eyes she saw that it was Ramari with a wicked smile on his face. It was like the DJ was watching them because he played R Kelly’s “Seems Like You’re Ready.” She popped her pussy and grinded on his dick so hard the niggas dick was starting to rise. She was still looking around for her sister, but she had no luck. Her ass was still MIA. Kali was known to sneak off in the club and not be seen until closing time, so she didn’t worry. She went back to her mission of giving old boy blue balls by the end of the night because she damn sure wasn’t going to fuck him.
Ramari was so zoned he stopped dancing all together and let Quita do her thang. All of a sudden, she didn’t feel Ramari behind her as close as they were earlier.
“Damn nigga you fucked up my groove,” she said turning around. When she turned around Timmy and Ramari were ice grilling each other. Quita didn’t know what to say. She and Timmy weren’t official or anything, but she knew that niggas were territorial when it came to their money and pussy. She stood there with her hands on her hips.
“What the fuck is you doing?” She asked Timmy. He just looked at Quita, like she was out of her fuckin’ mind.
“Yo, my man, that’s me!” He told Ramari pointing to Quita. Quita just stood there with her hands on her hips confused. ‘What the fuck is the crazy ass nigga’s problem? I’m not his fucking property,” she thought.
“Timmy what the fuck is you doing? Why you bugging?” Quita kept asked. Timmy just looked at her. Lexi saw the commotion on the dance floor and went straight into kick ass mode.
“Rae where is Laquita and Kali?” Lexi asked her.
“Shit. I dunno. I ain’t seen they asses. Jade over at the bar though,” Rae said pointing in Jade’s direction.
“Aww, shit bitch you drunk as hell. Come on let’s see what’s poppin’ on the floor and find everybody so we can be out,” Lexi told her.
On the floor Timmy was still talking shit to Ramari. Ramari paid him no mind and simply turned to Quita.
“Yo ma, I’ll holla at you later,” he said walking off. Quita blushed and winked her eye at him. Quita was still standing in the same spot stuck and stunned that Timmy was trying to cause a scene over a simple dance.
“Come here ma let me holla at you for a minute,” Timmy told her in a cold tone. Qutia took a deep breath as she followed Timmy off the dance floor.
When she and Timmy made it over to the bar Quita quickly ordered a double shot of Hennessey because Timmy had blown her buzz. Before her drink came Lexi came rushing over to where she and Timmy were standing.
“Girl what the hell just happened?”
“Don’t even ask,” Quita said dryly. She looked at Timmy out of the corner of her eye to let Lexi know what ever it was had to do with Timmy.
“Go find everybody. I’m ready to get ghost. I’m gonna chill right here for a minute so I can see what he talking ‘bout, then we can be out,” she told Lexi. Lexi headed back to the floor to get their girls. Quita took a sip of her drink and surveyed the club.
“Are you finished yet?” Timmy asked her.
“What!” She snapped.
“I said are you finished yet, and lower your voice ma,” Timmy said snapping right back at her. Quita threw her hands up at him.
“Whatever, what’s good?” She asked.
“Who the fuck was that bum ass nigga you grinding your ass all over on the dance floor?” Timmy asked through gritted teeth.
“I don’t know. I think his name Ramari or some shit like that. We were just dancing, and besides I’m single. I can do whatever I want to do Timmy you don’t own me. Anyway don’t you fuck with other bitches?”
“Man shorty you buggin’ right now, and what you mean you don’t know the nigga. How the fuck you know his name if y’all were just dancing?” Timmy asked her bitting down on his bottom lip.
“Correction nigga you’re the one buggin,’ coming over to the dance floor, with all that Rah-Rah shit!” She told him looking around the club at everyone having fun and here she was arguing with a nigga she only fucked once.
“What can I say. You my boo and I’m feeling you ma,” Timmy told her smiling.
“Yeah ok, but I don’t need anybody checking for me. I’m a big girl. It was an innocent dance it ain’t like we were fucking!” Quita told him pissed.
“Chill out ma, ma. I’m sorry. I just felt like you were trying to play a nigga you know,” Timmy said taking his shot of Hennessey to the head. He knew he fucked up showing her his true colors.
“I know it’s not official yet, but I’m feeling you like I said earlier.” Timmy continued.
Quita just listned to Timmy plead his case. “He must be drunk, ‘cause he getting on my fuckin’nerves. I came to party not talk.” She thought.
“Aww how sweet, but you can’t be wildn’ ‘cause I’m dancing.” She firmly told him.
“Enough arguing already, can I see you tonight?” Timmy asked her.
“Na not tonight, ‘cause I gotta go to church tomorrow and I don’t feel like hearing Dashiki’s mouth. I told you how she flips the fuck out when I stay out all night,” she said.
“Yeah you did tell me how she be lunchin’ on you. Lemme find out you a little church girl?” Timmy teased.
“Now you know my great uncle got his own church, so yes I try to go every Sunday. That’s if I’m not hung over from the night before.” They both laughed in unison.
“Aww, look at the cute couple.” Quita heard from behind her. She looked over her shoulder and saw Lexi swaying back and fourth with her hair all over her head. There was a big ass kool-aide smile plastered on her face.
“Y’all look so cute together. What y’all talking about?” She quizzed them.
“None of ya damn business.” Quita said dryly.
“Excuse the fuck outta me. What is wrong with you?” Lexi asked.
“Nothing Lex, I’m just ready to go that’s all.” Quita told her.
“Damn you sitting over here sounding all sad and shit,” Lexi told her.
“What did you say?” Quita said she was having a hard time hearing.
