The officiant looked to me to recite my vows. Nervous, I cleared my throat and took a deep breath. Blake had made it look so easy. He was calm, cool and collected. The room suddenly felt hot again, and I could feel myself beginning to sweat as all eyes were on me.
“Blake, I remember a time when we didn’t always see eye to eye, but over time, we’ve grown together. Because of you, I know that anything is possible, and I promise to love, support and encourage you. I will always stand beside you in any decisions that you make. Your love has shown me how much you cherish me, and I have finally found true love. I promise never to forget what our relationship has been founded on.”
A few moments later, we exchanged rings and sealed our wedding with a kiss. On our way out, our guests tossed wild birdseed over our heads as we traveled down the church steps through the center of the crowd.
A Hummer limo awaited us at the curb, whisking us away to our reception at The State Room in downtown Boston. To keep the atmosphere light, I opted for gold-colored table cloths with purple floral centerpieces and navy bows tied around the tabletops.
The ivory and purple, four-tier wedding cake occupied a small stand near the sweetheart table where Blake and I sat. After the first few guests had arrived, they all started pouring in, flooding the room as they waited to be served their dinners.
The music, drinks, and dancing carried on late into the night until everyone was too exhausted to celebrate anymore. To my amazement, Stephanie seemed to be hitting things off quite well with one of my cousins—too well actually! I’m not sure if it’s the alcohol, but I looked on in shock as she lap danced him and made out with him in front of everyone in the room.
I love her and all, but normally the stick is shoved so far up her ass that she gets antsy if she’s not walking a perfectly straight line and isn’t in complete control of everything. She was definitely out of control to say the least.
My mom ended up taking Nikki and Carter home with her so that we could have the evening alone. Our honeymoon had to wait until he finished working on a gig for an important client.
While we couldn’t leave for almost another two weeks, our plan was to set sail on a 10-day cruise traveling to exotic parts of the world. It will be our first vacation kid-free since we’ve been together, which I’m greatly looking forward to.
Epilogue
Ever since I married the love of my life, each day has gotten better and better—if that’s even possible. He’s picked up several well-known clients in the advertising biz, which means he gets to work fewer hours and spends more time with our family since he’s making more money than he ever has in the past.
Carter started kindergarten this year, and Nikki went into fifth grade. We’ve taken him to routine screening and testing each year, and he’s just as normal as any other boy his age, so having him early didn’t affect him at all.
To keep the kids busy, we’ve enrolled them in extracurricular activities such as dance, martial arts and art classes that allow them to paint, do ceramics and make pottery. They’re very talented children with endless imaginations.
Stephanie and I are best friends and spend a lot of time together. We’ve learned a lot from each other. I taught her how not to be a bitch, and she’s taught me that people aren’t always as they seem.
Before I met her, I took everyone at face value. I’ve learned that you can’t always do that because people will take advantage of you and walk all over you like an old doormat.
She’s engaged right now—and you won’t believe who it is! The night that we got married, she ended up hooking up with one of my cousins, Terrell. Since their family doesn’t play well together and none of them could sit with each other, she ended up having to split the seating arrangement, mixing my family in with theirs.
She refused to sit at the table with her parents during the reception because she knew they would give her grief for her little brother getting married before her. When she made the chart, she sat with some of my family members—two of my cousins and my mother—to escape the clutches of her mother.
By the end of the night, she was too drunk to drive home, and it would’ve been too far for her to take a cab, so Terrell ended up letting her crash at his place. One thing led to another and before he knew it, she was all over him, and they ended up sleeping together.
Since they hit it off so well, they ended up exchanging numbers and started dating. They only got engaged a few months ago and so far, have no official date for the wedding. I couldn’t be happier for her. He’s a great guy, and she’s a great girl. They’ll do well together.
As for us, I think Blake’s going through his mid-life crisis. Either that or something has gotten into him. Aside from him buying a Jag, he can’t keep his pants on in the bedroom. Almost on a nightly basis, it’s like a wild animal has possessed him and he can’t get enough of me.
There are some nights that I’m so tired, but he’s so geared up that I can’t turn him down. I’m pretty sure he has a raging hard-on damn near close to 24/7. Speaking of, he moved the porn on his computer so that me or the kids wouldn’t accidentally find it again.
I’m not sure what he did with it, but it’s no longer in his bookmarks. As long as I don’t have to look at it, I don’t care what he does with it. I’m smart enough to know that he comes to bed with me every night, and I’m the only woman he sleeps with.
Our wedding anniversary is tomorrow night. We’ll be married for four years, and I have something special planned for us. Stephanie and Terrell are coming over to join us for dinner, and she’s in on the surprise. I can’t wait to see Blake’s face.
After I had dropped the kids off at school, I headed to the grocery store to pick up the things I would need to make dinner before I went home and cleaned the house. On the way home, I stopped by the mall to pick up an anniversary gift.
Every year we always get each other a little something to celebrate. This year, I’m picking him up a new silk tie. He always complains that he needs new business attire when meeting with potential clients. I have no idea what he’s getting me. He hasn’t dropped a single hint.
When I walked in the door, I heard him humming in his office. Popping my head in the door, I saw that he was busy working on a project.
“Are you back already?” he asked.
“I’ve been gone for almost three hours. I figured I would come in to see what you were up to.”
“Just working on a new slogan and banner. Want to head upstairs for a little afternoon dessert?”
“You’re so bad.” I seductively walked over to his desk and sat on the corner of it, unbuttoning the top button of my shirt. “What would your clients think if they knew you were playing hooky from work?”
“That’s for me to know, and for them to never find out.”
We didn’t even make it out of his study before he was ravaging me. Unzipping his pants, he lifted up my skirt and pulled my panties to the side, sliding his way inside of me.
Papers, folders, and pens fell to the floor as I tried to grab onto his desk to gain some traction before he fucked me right off the top of it. My tits bounced as he hammered into me, pounding me harder and harder.
I finally found my gripping and steadied myself as he crammed his cock into me and fiercely drove himself deeper. It didn’t take long until thick spurts of his cum began flooding my womb as he emptied his balls into me.
The feeling of his seed filling me and trickling between my thighs pushed me over the top, giving me the perfect ‘O’. When we were finished, he zipped his pants back up as I wiggled my skirt back down over my hips.
“I thought you said you wanted to go upstairs,” I teased.
“Well, when you look that damned good, I can’t make it very far.”
He swatted my ass as I bent over to pick up my heels.
“I’ve got some things to do. I’ll see you in a bit.”
I walked into the kitchen and started chopping veggies for dinner as I put away the rest of the groceries.
By lunch, I was starving.
I took a quick break to grab a bite to eat before I had to start preparing the main course so I would have time to help Nikki with her homework before Stephanie and Terrell arrive. Before I knew it, the kids were walking in the door after school.
“It smells good, mom. What’s for dinner?” Nikki asked.
“I’m making something special. It’s mine and your dad’s wedding anniversary. Aunt Stephanie and Terrell are coming over for dinner.”
“Yay! I can’t wait until she gets here. I want to show her my new book bag.”
“I’m sure she’ll love it.”
“Can I show her the book I got from the book fair?” Carter asked. “It has Clifford the Big Red Dog on it.”
“Oh yes, I think those are her favorite books.”
I turned to Nikki and had her get her homework out so we could get started. It was nearly 4:30 and I wanted to touch up my hair and makeup before dinner was ready.
We quickly finished her math and reading homework before I headed upstairs to freshen up, wrap his present and get his surprise ready. I was putting the bow on his present when Stephanie walked in and scared me.
“Oh, girl! I thought you were your brother. I was finishing up wrapping his present for tonight.”
“Do you have the surprise ready?” she danced from foot to foot.
“I sure do. Right here.” We smiled at each other.
“That’s wicked! He’s going to flip when he sees that.”
“I’m counting on it. Let’s get back downstairs before we get caught.”
Stephanie helped me finish cooking dinner so that I could set the table. Terrell and Blake were watching the Red Sox vs. The Angels. By the sounds coming from the living room, I could tell that we were winning.
When dinner was finally ready, we called everyone to the dinner table. After we had eaten, Blake and I exchanged gifts. This year for our anniversary, he bought me a pink azalea plant—I’d been wanting one forever.
“Wait a minute,” he said. “I thought you had some big surprise for me. There’s no way its this tie. You two have been running around giggling all damn night.”
“Should I give it to him?” I looked at Stephanie.
“Nah. I don’t think he wants it.”
“The hell if I don’t want it. Where is it?” he looked around the kitchen.
“Right here.” I walked over to the kitchen drawer and opened it. “Close your eyes. You don’t want to ruin your surprise.” Annoyed, he sighed and closed his eyes, along with Nikki and Carter. I grabbed his surprise out of the drawer and walked over to him. “Open.”
His eyes popped open, and he squinted for a second, allowing his vision to focus.
“What is—? Oh my God! You’re pregnant?”
I nodded my head with a proud grin plastered from ear to ear. “About nine weeks along. I went to the doctor on Tuesday, and he confirmed it.”
“That’s…amazing!” He picked me up in a bear hug and swung me around the kitchen. “Wait. Are you at any risk? You know…how you were with Carter?”
“The doctor said it might be a possibility, but all we can do is monitor it closely and try to be proactive about it.”
“Tasha Adams, you never cease to amaze me. I’m the luckiest man on the planet.”
Throughout the pregnancy, everything has been pretty typical but I am required to make my visits more frequently than usual. Instead of going once every four weeks, I go every two weeks and have to self-monitor my blood pressure at home on a daily basis since my risk for developing pre-eclampsia is about 25 percent higher due to already having it in a prior pregnancy.
Everything had been sailing along smoothly until my 28th week of pregnancy, just like it did with Carter. My blood pressure suddenly spiked. The doctor restricted my activity and said that if my blood pressure doesn’t come back down, he’ll have to hospitalize me until Tierra is born.
When Blake heard the news, he insisted that I took it easy and hired a maid to do all the cleaning and light cooking around the house.
“You know that isn’t necessary. I’m perfectly capable of washing our dishes and cooking our meals. All I need you to do is carry the laundry for me.”
“Tasha, you need to realize that I’m not letting you lift a finger while you’re carrying my baby. It’s not safe. What would happen if you were trying to do some of the housework and caused your blood pressure to skyrocket? Huh? You’d have to go to the hospital. I’ll be damned if you have this baby early like you did Carter. You might not have even had him so early if we would’ve been aware of your condition during that pregnancy.”
“You’re overreacting. Tell that strange woman who’s cleaning my bathroom to leave. I don’t want her here.”
“I don’t care what you want. I’m the man in this house and what I say goes. That’s my girl in there,” he rubbed my belly. “And I’m not letting anything happen to her. Remember how scared we were about Carter? And remember how they said he could have had issues? We got lucky with him. We’re not rolling the dice twice.”
Having the maid worked out quite well. I didn’t have to lift a finger for the rest of my pregnancy and didn’t go into labor until my 35th week.
Tierra came into this world a healthy baby, kicking and screaming when she was born on February 19th at 8:45 PM. She weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces and was 18-inches long. The kids welcomed her with hugs and kisses as soon as they got to see her.
