He smiled, brushed his hand down the side of her face, and brushed a few strands of hair behind her ear. “Sounds like a plan and then after drinks we have a little game to complete together.” He winked at her, stood, then reached his hand out to grab hers and help her up.

She stood and moved closer to him. “I’m looking forward to completing this little kinky game you have created.” She reached around and squeezed his ass. “Actually, I am getting excited just thinking about it.” Then she started for the door, turning her head toward him. “You coming? I mean, to have dessert with us?”

  He stood there speechless.

When Kenzie entered the kitchen, everyone was quiet. She looked toward Izzy for some back-up but she wasn’t in the room. Then warm arms wrapped around her waist. “Thanks for helping Izzy with that crazy stain on her pants.” Then Joshua kissed her temple and squeezed her tighter.

Connie looked confused. “Um, did we miss something earlier? Did we upset you, Kenzie?”

Izzy walked into the room at that moment. “Thanks, Kenzie. They look like new now.” Then she looked down at her left leg and brushed her hand over the fake stain spot.

Kenzie smiled. “Anytime, sweets.” She wanted to laugh out loud, but that wouldn’t work right now. Clearing her throat. “I’m fine, Connie.” She hated lying and was bad at it.

Drew, Grant, and Gage walked into the kitchen, Drew laughed. “Where’s that crazy boozy cake?”

Izzy let out a loud laugh. “It’s not that crazy.”

Gage laughed. “Does it come with a shot of booze?”

Izzy raised her eyebrows. “Good idea!”

Jim nodded. “Sounds like our favorite kind of dessert.”

They all enjoyed dessert, chatted it up, and then Izzy mentioned about taking care of some work at home. Joshua shook his head. “Yeah, someone didn’t let me finish grading assignments.” He tickled Kenzie’s side, making her laugh. “We better head out, too, so I can finish them before tomorrow.”

Connie seemed confused, but smiled. “Kenzie and Gage, it was wonderful to meet you both.” She looked toward Kenzie. “I see the happiness in my sons face and that make me happy. Thank you for bringing the light back in his eyes.”

Kenzie stood there for a moment speechless, then she found her voice, “Thank you, Connie. I think we both can say, we feel happiness.” Then she walked closer to Joshua and wrapped her arms around his waist.

As Izzy, Drew, Joshua, Gage, and Kenzie were getting into their Jeeps, Izzy looked toward Kenzie and said, “Clam Bake?”

Kenzie nodded. “That would be great.” She then hopped into the Jeep and let out a deep sigh. “Oh my Jesus, that was crazy.”

Gage shook his head. “Um, yeah… what the hell did I miss?”

Kenzie looked back at Gage, sounding frustrated, “You talk too much.”

Gage seemed startled. “What? What, they don’t know about our lack of school, you mean?”

Kenzie blew out a breath. “No, and please, stop making it sound like it is normal. I need to change this and stop feeling the negative feelings.”

Joshua whispered, “Yeah, those negative thoughts tonight deserve about, oh, maybe five spankings?”

Kenzie could feel her insides ignite from the word ‘five.’ She looked forward to what was to come, when they arrived back at home. But first they needed to talk with Izzy at The Clam Bake.” She looked back at Gage. “We will drop you off, then we need to head somewhere. Okay?”

  Gage seemed distant. “Yeah, whatever.”

They dropped off Gage at her house and headed into town. When they arrived at the bar, Joshua turned off the engine, and looked toward Kenzie. “I’m kinda wanting to just take you to my home now. We don’t have to stay long do we?”

She flushed at his words, fanning herself. “Goodness, you know how to heat a girl from the inside out.” She leaned over in her seat. “No, we need to talk about my situation and maybe think of a plan. I don’t want everyone to know all about it. It’s not the finest moment in my life.”

Just then, they heard a loud knocking on the driver side window. They both looked toward the window and let out a laugh. Izzy and Drew were making silly faces on the glass and then bursting into laughter. Joshua leaned over and opened his door. “Um… there is a lot of bug splatters on that window.”

  Drew laughed. “More protein.”

Izzy went over to Kenzie’s side and made her open her door up. Then she tugged on her to get her out of the Jeep. Izzy wrapped her arms around Kenzie’s arm and they both started for the bar. Izzy heard a giggle that sounded familiar and turned to see Shawna with her back against her car, and a sexy grin plastered on her face. There was a guy, not Danny, standing just mere inches from Shawna. He had his hands resting on the car door, on either side of her head. His face was close to hers and he looked like he was whispering something in her ear. She seemed interested but her smile didn’t go all the way to her eyes.

Izzy looked at Kenzie, then back at Shawna, in a whisper, “I have no idea who she is with, but it’s not Danny. She doesn’t look happy, should we rescue her?”

Kenzie squeezed her arm. “Well, that’s what friends are for, right?”

“Hell yeah, girl!” Then Izzy walked a little closer toward Shawna and let out one of her crazy loud laughs.

Shawna glanced over a little surprised, then she softened when she saw Izzy and Kenzie standing there. She ducked below the mystery guy’s arm and walked toward her dear friends. In a low voice, so “the guy” didn’t hear her, “Oh thank god, when did you all get here?”

Izzy leaned forward and pulled Shawna into a big hug, she said, “We just arrived, but who’s the hottie, sweetie?”

Shawna groaned. “A guy from ‘Burlesque Me Tonight,’ who was persistent on going for a drink after my show. He’s kinda a douche bag though. Rescue me?”

Kenzie spoke for everyone to hear. “Shawna, oh my god, it has been way too long. I missed you girl, come have a drink with us?”

Drew and Joshua walked up behind them, Joshua looked at Kenzie confused. “Um, okay, so Shawna, since it was asked to the world, you having drinks with us now?”

Shawna and Izzy burst into fits of giggles. Shawna looked at Joshua and rolled her eyes. “Well, duh.”

Izzy smiled and looked at the mystery guy. “We’re stealing her from you, maybe next time.”

They all watched as Shawna walked over to the mystery man and talked to him. He seemed confused, bummed, but he still turned and walked away. She headed back to her girls, looped their arms, and headed into the bar together.

As they walked in, Izzy looked back at Drew. “Baby, will you dance with me?”

Drew walked up to her and grabbed her around her waist. “Anytime, sweet Izzy.” Then he stepped back from her, grabbed her hand, and twirled her in place.

  Kenzie smiled. “They’re adorable together.”

Joshua looked over at Kenzie, and said, “And we’re sexy together.”

Shawna moaned. “I need a man, and soon.”

Izzy was smiling as she walked toward the table and plopped down in a seat. “Oh my word, how I adore that man.” She looked toward Drew with a dreamy look in her eyes.

Shawna laughed. “Really? We didn’t even notice as you were grinding his leg out there on the dance floor.”

Kenzie nudged Shawna. “Oh stop, you know you’re jealous as shit. So, tell us, any sparks with that mystery man tonight?”

  Izzy gasped. “Please say, no.”

Shawna smiled. “No. I think I wanted to feel something, but it wasn’t there.”

Izzy sighed. “Why? Are you afraid to feel something for Danny? It’s obvious you have feelings for him.”

Shawna took a big gulp of her fruity drink, then looked at both girls. “I’m scared of the feelings that stir up when he is around.”

Kenzie sighed. “I understand that feeling. Want to talk about it?”

Izzy grabbed Shawna’s hand. “Do you need to talk about it, sweet
ie?”

Shawna squeezed Izzy’s hand. “Not yet, maybe someday, okay?”

Izzy shook her head, understanding they needed to move on to another topic. Looking toward Kenzie. “Well then, let’s switch over to you, sweet girl. Want to fill Shawna in on all the happenings? Are you okay with that?”

  Shawna seemed confused. “Everything okay?”

“It will be.” Then she filled Shawna in on all that happened at dinner and her stressful past. When she finished, she sighed and slumped back in her chair. “All this talk of my past is wearing my ass out, I need a shot of bourbon.”

Izzy waved her hand to get Drew’s attention. When he looked her way, she yelled, “Handsome, order three shots of bourbon for us, please.” Then she settled back in her chair. “Okay, now we have that cleared up, let’s think about this. What is holding you back?”

Kenzie thought about things for a moment. “In the beginning it was my Dad, now it would be my boutique.”

Shawna cleared her throat. “Um, as in help to run the store?” Kenzie nodded yes, and so Shawna shared her thoughts. “Izzy, you may be bummed, but here it goes. I have been thinking about leaving the TV station and putting most of my time into dancing and singing at ‘Burlesque Me Tonight.’ Which I know sounds crazy. It’s just that every time I’m on that stage, I feel happiness.”

Izzy looked sad. “Really? Honestly, I’m conflicted. I’m bummed for me, because I love working with you. I’m excited, because I know how much you love dancing and singing.”

  “It’s beyond fun.”

Kenzie glanced at Shawna, “So, what we’re saying is I need to get that damn GED, and you need to work at my boutique? I would love having you a part of the shop, and would love having someone I trust there for sure.”

Just then Drew and Joshua walked over with not three, but five shots of bourbon. Drew sat them in front of everyone. “What are we celebrating tonight?”

Izzy squealed with delight. “Well, Shawna is quitting the TV station and going to work with Kenzie. While Kenzie is taking extra time away to get all the schooling she wants to complete, finalized. I’m sad for losing Shawna as a co-worker, but excited for their new partnership!”

Joshua turned toward Shawna. “Wow, you want to leave the TV station? Do we get to see you dancing and singing a lot more now?”

Shawna laughed. “Well, I guess so. Wow, now I’m excited.”

Kenzie was behind Josh as they walked up the steps into his house. The moment Joshua had his door closed, he turned toward Kenzie and pushed her up against the door. She looked startled, then laughed at his sudden cat-and-mouse attack. She fisted her hands into his shirt pulling him closer. “Huh, feeling a little horny, are we?”

His eyes were black with desire as he looked down into her face. “A little?” He moved his hands up into her hair and pressed himself against her curvy body. They fit so perfectly together, and all he wanted to do was be near her, with her, in her, and now.

Then she surprised him and while still holding him close to her, she turned her body away from the door. She walked backwards down the hallway toward his bedroom. With a devilish grin, “So, how many spankings do I get tonight?”

He loved how she always took control, “Hmmm… I lost count after awhile.” He continued walking with her, moving his hands down her arms, then grabbed a hold of her hips. “Let’s keep it an even number and say four?” They rounded the corner and headed into his room, then he spun to have her body face the bed. He bent to kiss her sweet lips, then the kiss became more heated. Their tongues explored together, twisting and tangling with every move. He loved the way she made him feel, every part of his body was on fire, and needing more. Pulling away, he pushed her onto the bed, rolled her onto her stomach, then he slid her pants down over her gorgeous ass. Thank god for knit pants, the no button and zipper thing was a bonus tonight.

She rested her head on the bed with her arms above her head. She moaned with need as Joshua touched her skin, the contact was causing ripples of desire throughout her whole body. Turning her head to get a good look at his glorious body, in a sassy tone, “What are you waiting for?”

He growled out her name. “Kenzie.” Then he grabbed both butt checks in his hands, squeezing them, then rubbing them. She had goose bumps scattered all over her body and was moaning with each contact. Then out of the blue he smacked one side and bent to kiss where his hand had made contact. He left a trail of kisses from her behind all the way to the center of her back. Then he stood again, squeezed both sides of her behind again, and smacked the other side. He peppered the area with delicate kisses. He was trying to figure out if she was happy, or if he should stop. Then she moved her knees up onto the bed, so her behind was raised off the bed, which made it easier for him to reach her. He laughed. “I guess you don’t want me to stop then?”

Kenzie had never felt what she was feeling at that moment. Whenever Joshua touched her, she would feel a delicious surge of energy. Now, every time he smacked her ass she could feel her body become more aroused, and craving the intense touch. In between moans she whispered, “Please don’t.”

He stepped back to remove his pants and boxers, then moved close enough for her to feel his arousal on her heated flesh. God, she would drive him insane. Then he entered her inch by inch, the moment before he moved, he gave her another spanking.

Kenzie cried out, she could come right now. With Joshua inside her, and him giving her the well-deserved delicious spankings her body was in serious overdrive. Then he moved and at the same moment gave her that last spanking. She wanted more than four spankings that was just not enough. She loved how her body felt, every nerve ending screaming, “Yes, Yes, Yes.” Then as he increased his movements, and she felt her orgasm sneak up, she screamed his name to the roof-top. She was feeling complete euphoria and never wanted to come down.

At that moment, Joshua cried out her name, but still continued to make small movements. Then he stopped, bent over her back, resting his head on hers. In between deep breaths from the extreme pleasures. “I believe we explored a new territory today. I approve, do you?”

She could not speak, so instead laughed and mumbled, “Ah huh.”

Kenzie was walking back into the room, naked, and carrying two glasses of water. She walked to the bed to hand Joshua his glass and sat hers down on the end table. He was lying on the comforter with his legs spread out, and his head resting back on the pillows. She climbed up on the bed and went over to straddle him. “Do you promise to do that with me again?”

Joshua was feeling completely satiated, he had his eyes closed as Kenzie walked back into the room. He took a large gulp of water, then reached to place the glass of water on the bed-side table. Resting his head back, not expecting her to straddle him, but maybe snuggle in beside him. The moment he felt her on top of him, he was instantly hard again. He laughed. “Promise? Hell, yeah. That was incredible.”

She gave a cheeky grin. “Incredible doesn’t even describe it. It was fucking amazing in my book.”

She moved again and Joshua looked at her stunned. “Already, baby?” He smiled and grabbed her hips to help in the movements. “How did we live without this for ten years?”

She looked sad. “I don’t know, but I think we have ten years of making up to do. Don’t you agree?”

He pulled her down closer to his mouth. “I love how you make me feel. I promise now that I will continue to make you feel this good for a long time to come. Deal?”

She moved faster, loving the contact, the feeling. “Deal.”

  Chapter 8

Kenzie was sitting on the couch with her feet resting on the ottoman. The big goof, Elvis, was lying next to her and had his head in her lap. She was wearing one of Josh’s button shirts and only panties underneath. It was a wee bit chilly tonight, so she put on a pair of his big fluffy socks. Having a 95-pound dog on your lap made for a perfect lap blanket. She was flipping through the channels trying to find something to watch. She was having a tough time re
moving her smile with the pretty killer evening she had. Her mind was off in another world when she heard her phone buzz. She looked down at the caller ID and smiled even brighter. She hit except. “Hey, Dad! How are you?”

Her father was low-key, but for his kids, he knew how to laugh and love life. “There’s my baby girl. I haven’t heard from you in a few days, so was hoping to catch you tonight. Is it too late?”

She laughed. “It’s never too late to chat with you, Daddy. I’m wonderful. Just at Joshua’s house tonight, relaxing with him and his gigantic puppies. I may have a new best friend, his name is Elvis, and he’s 95 pounds of sweet love.”

“Awwww, baby, your voice sounds so happy. It sounds like you and Joshua are hitting it off, huh?”

She continued to stroke Elvis’ silky fur. “We are. I talked to him about everything, and he didn’t run, so that’s a bonus. When are you and mom going to come out for a visit?”

He paused. “Well, what do you think about the middle of April?”

She thought about her calendar and remembered Izzy’s wedding. “I’m helping my friend with her wedding. It will be on the 20th of April. So, you could come for the wedding and see all I did to help her. Plus, you could meet my friends and my gorgeous man.”

“Let me run it by your mom, but I would love to see all you’re doing now. I’m excited to see your boutique.” He cleared his throat. “Um, sweetie, is Gage there?”

She felt a little frustrated suddenly at Gage. “Yeah Dad, why? Did he not tell you where he was heading?”

“Kinda. We got in a little argument and he stormed off. We figured he would just head your way. Is he okay?”

Kenzie sighed. “Yeah, he’s fine. He is at my place and said he was looking for a job. I’m sorry, Dad. I can talk to him for you.”

“Don’t even worry about it, sweetheart. We will be fine; the Waters family can get through anything. Let him know we love him very much.”

She leaned her head back on the couch. “I will. I love you.” She hit end and felt tears sting her eyes. She missed her parents so much. Plus, she hated how her parents and Gage always had tension between them. Somehow, Kenzie always ended up being the buffer for them. Maybe with Gage further away it would help heal the wounds between them.
