Persuasion Page 9

by Stone, Piper

I hadn’t been prepared for the way he filled me, spreading my muscles to the point they ached, tensing and releasing every few seconds. I let out an explosive whimper as I pressed my face against the cool wood, even more lightheaded than before. Everything seemed to be throbbing; my nipples that longed to be plucked and twisted, my pussy spasming in a volatile manner, and his thick, long shaft.

“So damn tight,” he muttered, his words strained. “So freaking wet.” He remained in position for several seconds, his breathing ragged. Then he began to pump in slow and easy motions, slickening his shaft.

The combined scent of my leaking pussy juice and his masculine cologne was entirely too powerful, sensual in a manner that kept me floating on air. The sound of my engorged muscles sucking him in deeper into my wetness was much more intense music, fueling the fantasy.

With every hard stroke, my muscles tightened around him like a vise. I could feel him straining as he fucked me, his actions becoming more savage with every passing minute. He was like a wild man, every growl and roar barbaric, the force pushing me hard against the wood.

My toes barely hit the floor, yet I attempted to meet every hard thrust with one of my own, my entire body erupting from bursts of electricity. I could no longer think clearly or focus on anything.

The humiliation didn’t matter nor did the fact this was nothing but a game to both of us. I would likely never see him again but if that was the case, my body as well as my mind would always remember the sinful two nights.

He smacked my already bruised bottom several times as he plunged in and out. The combination was euphoric. I could almost hear his promise of pleasure and pain. If this is what he meant, I was hooked.

Beads of his sweat fell against the back of my neck and as the drops fell to the table, I studied each and every one.

An attempt to catch a glimpse of his soul.

The thought was suddenly haunting, my mind telling me that his soul had been damaged. Why was the ugly thought shifting into my mind?

I heard the change in his guttural sounds, could tell he was close to coming. I closed my eyes and squeezed my muscles, realizing I’d likely disobeyed his rules.

Then I remembered the game had been all mine in the making and I refused to allow him to win.

  At least entirely.

There was a distinct rumble, the table moving as his body began to shake. He slapped first one hand beside my shoulder then the other before leaning down, every thrust even more brutal. The moment he erupted, filling me with seed, the words he issued weren’t only a promise.

They were a threat, but against whom?

“Never forget, you belong to me. No one will ever take you away from me. No. One.”

At that moment, I knew something was terribly wrong. The Russian had hunted me, but not because of a flirtatious game.

  Because I was his prey.

I watched as he rolled up both cuffs of his shirt, taking his time. Since fucking me, he hadn’t taken his eyes off of me. When he was finished, he took decided steps closer until he was only inches away. “I need to make something very clear to you, Giliana.”

The chill in the air was draining. Gone was any if the passion we shared. It was like a switch had flipped, another side of him emerging. “What?”

“I was very serious. You belong to me.”

The words weren’t remotely desirable in any manner. They were dark and ugly, and I wanted no part of the vicious game this had turned into. “I think you need to leave.” I backed away from him, taking cautious steps toward the kitchen. If only I could reach my purse.

“I assure you that if you’re attempting to go for your unloaded Beretta, you won’t find it.” His quip was smug, and I wanted to wipe the conceited expression off his face.

I darted a look toward his jacket and he chuckled, pulling an ammunition clip out of his pocket. “You’re extremely intelligent, Giliana, but I’ve been doing this a long time.”

“You bastard. What is this? What the hell is going on here?” A first real slice of fear slithered down my back. There was no way I could get to the back door and even if I could, the neighborhood wasn’t necessarily one that would help a crazy woman in dire need in the middle of the night.

He smiled as he folded his arms, his upper lip curling. “I have been called many things over the years, including terms you’ve never heard of. Do you know who I am, Giliana?” His accent was heavier, holding a threatening tone, his eyes a cold and dangerous reflection of the man who’d been hiding behind a mask.

How the hell had he known about my gun? More important, when had he been able to snag access to the purse that was in my office in the middle of the kitchen? Whoever he was, he had power and influence. I should have listened to my gut, followed my instincts. I had no idea what he was doing, other than what he’d told me himself. There’d been no reason to find out. I was sick from being tossed into more humiliation.

What had the round of passion been about? The arrogant prick. I was going to wrap my hands around his throat after sticking icepicks into his eyes.

“Sure. You’re a man who enjoys playing games, but you know what? Now I’m not in the mood any longer, Zorro. Whoever the fuck you are, you can cut the crap. The masquerade ended last night. As far as tonight? It was fun while it lasted but you’re not my type,” I hissed through clenched teeth, daring to take two additional steps toward the kitchen.

“Not so fast, little princess. You’re going to do exactly as I say.”

“And why the hell should I?”

He only had to take one long stride to come within inches of me once again. While he seemed so calm and collected, the same veins in his neck were pumping wildly.

“Because if you don’t, things are going to get ugly.”

I realized that if I didn’t get the hell away from him, I would never have another chance. I bolted, snagging a rolling drink cart and shoving it with all my force in his direction. I heard the hard thud as the heavy stainless-steel piece smashed against him. I’d bought myself a few additional seconds.

My breathing heavy, I raced around the long island, praying the darkness hindered his advance. I heard nothing as I reached the door. No footsteps. No breathing. Nothing. My fingers fumbled as I struggled with the lock, yelping the second a massive hand snagged my wrist, yanking and dragging me several feet away.

“That wasn’t very nice of you, Giliana. You will pay for that.” I gathered a sense of irritation in his tone.

  “Fuck you!”

I pushed hard against him, managing to slam my knee into his thigh. While he groaned in pain, he managed to wrap his hand around my throat, squeezing as he pulled me closer to the heat of his body until I was able to hear his ragged breathing.

What a shame I’d injured him. There was going to be much more where that came from.

“You are absolutely correct that there will be no additional games, Giliana. Your father owes me as well as the organization I work for and I intend on collecting.”

I was shocked, floored beyond belief. There wasn’t any doubt in my mind my father’s actions bordered on criminal, but this was... terrifying.

“Owes you? For what?” My voice began to shake, giving away the intensity of my growing fear.

He held me tightly, walking us both back into the dining room. The hold he had was strong. There was no doubt he could snap my neck with ease. “You want me to believe you have no idea? Don’t play me for a fool, Giliana. That won’t bode well for your treatment.”

Treatment? Where was this going? “No! I meant what I said. My father and I don’t exactly get along. Whatever he has going with you has nothing to do with me.” I heard him take several breaths, finally pushing me away. I jerked around to face him, trying to figure out what the hell I could do.

After exhaling, he narrowed his eyes. “Your father has an item that he holds dear to him, but one he doesn’t own. He made the mistake of taking it from a very important and dangero
us man and I’ve been hired to retrieve it.”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about. Who are you and what do you want with me? I’m not my father’s keeper. Whatever he did, you need to take it up with him.” What the hell was going on? I could see the look of vengeance in the Russian’s eyes.

“I’m going to make a deal with you, Giliana.”

I shuddered from the tone in his voice alone. “What if I don’t like your deal?”

“You have no other choices, fairy princess.”

I wanted to shout at him to never call me that again, but I’d realized quickly enough not to cross him. At least not until I figured out what the hell was going on. “What’s this deal?”

“You’re going to come with me quietly and I’m going to allow you to live.”

Every instinct to save my life kicked in, anger swelling to the point I reacted, shifting and racing toward the front door. He snapped his hand around my arm, dragging me backwards within seconds, his hand wrapped around my throat. As he stroked his fingers up and down my neck, I was forced to fight tears already forming in my eyes. I refused to give in. He wasn’t going to get the better of me. Damn him. Damn my father for whatever he’d done to put me in this position. My breath was ragged, my heart racing as I attempted to form words.

“You’re a very bad girl, Giliana. I can see you need strict rules and harsh discipline.”

Swallowing my pride, I did everything I could to relax my body. “I won’t fight you any longer.”

A dark and evil laugh was his immediate answer. “I don’t believe you. You have no idea who you are dealing with. Soon, you will. I can only hope that your father doesn’t find the item as precious as his own daughter.”

“Meaning?” I managed, paralyzed with fear. He merely took a step forward, lifting and tossing me over his shoulder.

“My name is Kostya Visiliev. I am a member of the Baranov mafia family. Given you were assigned the task of defusing my operation, you now belong to me and Giliana, you will follow my rules or you. Will. Be. Punished.”

  Chapter Seven

  Kostya

  Stupid.

I was a stupid fool touching her, tasting her.

  Hungering for her.

“You are going to be punished, Giliana, if you don’t tell me everything,” I said under my breath before tossing her in the back of the trunk. I remained on edge, the interaction we’d had intoxicating but useless. Either she was one hell of an actress or she had limited knowledge as to her father’s business, both legal and criminal.

One thing was for certain. I was going to find out.

The fact she carried a gun shouldn’t mean anything given where she worked and the late hours. Sadly, I couldn’t believe in coincidences. Her instincts were as sharp as mine. I’d secured the weapon safely with my own, refusing to take any chances. The lovely waitress who’d helped me find paper in her boss’s office had received a hefty tip for helping, unaware of my true intentions. She’d even stood over me as I searched Giliana’s purse, easily locating the Beretta.

“No! Let me out of here!” Giliana screamed. I hated tossing her into the back like a sack of feed, but I couldn’t allow her to know where I was going. She was far too conniving, her abilities forcing me to treat her like the enemy.

  Perhaps she was.

I was furious with myself for engaging in any moment of passion with the woman, even though the taste of her had been exactly what I’d expected.

  Utter perfection.

My cock still ached, the scent of her covering almost every inch of me. My behavior was off the chain and completely unlike the man I’d been for twenty plus years.

“You’re not going to get away with this,” Giliana snapped.

“I assure you, Giliana, that I am a man of my word. I also promise that you won’t be in here for long.”

“My God. You’re an arrogant prick. That’s exactly who and what you are.”

“Maybe so,” I said as I closed the lid, patting the top and scanning the street. She’d fought me the entire time as I left the restaurant, pummeling her fists against my back as if her actions were capable of stopping me.

Hissing, I could still feel the vindictive glare in her eyes as I headed to the driver’s door, double checking that my actions hadn’t been observed.

She had the distinct ability of riling me more than any woman ever had. The vivacious brunette was also even more enticing with her naturally colored hair as well as the same mischievous attitude she’d displayed the night before. While she was as temping as before, she was now my prisoner and she would provide not only information but a strong reason for Wyland to provide the diamond.

I only hoped he was as smart as he was conniving, the day of watching his every activity futile in every manner. I’d dispatched both teams of soldiers to continue watching him. What I had in mind would certainly rock his world.

  Or so I hoped.

He’d left his house only twice, had made limited phone calls and had been quiet on social media. He also hadn’t contacted his business associates, unless the lunch he’d attended with a buxom redhead counted.

I roared the engine to life, checking the rearview mirror before pressing on the accelerator.

I heard her fuming, doing everything she could to find a way out of her predicament. I’d come to expect no less from her. I’d known there was a chance she would recognize me immediately, which I suspected had occurred. The fact she continued to play the game, even accepting and indulging in our heated sex told me several things.

  She was hiding something.

I would do exactly what was needed to extract the information.

My hands wrapped around the steering wheel, I concentrated on the road as I headed out of the city limits. Her disappearance wouldn’t be noted by anyone from the restaurant until tomorrow evening. While the employees could certainly identify who she’d last been seen with, there were no outward signs of a struggle, other than the few glasses tossed onto the floor. I grimaced, realizing just how impetuous I’d been. At least I’d grabbed her purse and keys before leaving, locking up the restaurant as she normally would.

Even though I’d fought to do so while keeping her quiet.

The entire situation had gone completely sideways, leaving me questioning my ‘exceptional abilities.’ I could hear her screaming in the back, no doubt hoping that I’d be forced to stop at a red light conveniently next to a police car.

  That wasn’t going to happen.

I left the business section of the city, heading to the back roads. I knew every way to reach my house as well as their proximity to the major roads and interstates. I’d spent hours familiarizing myself with the city; the restaurants and bars, hotels and shops. I knew more about the damn city than almost anyone.

Nothing could derail my standard operating procedure.

  Except for a damn woman.

  A beautiful, confounding, sexy woman.

I rubbed my eyes, turning on the radio to block out her yelps. What the hell was I going to do now that I’d... fucked her. Hissing, I glared at my reflection in the mirror. She meant nothing to me, even though she was my property. I wasn’t going to allow two nights of beautiful passion to interrupt the mission.

Far too much money and clout were at stake.

The buzz of my phone was another damn reminder that answers would be needed and soon. Twenty-four hours had passed already, far too long as far as the Specialists was concerned.

The unknown number was well known to me. “Moretti.”

“I’ve given you twenty-four hours to explain what the fuck is going on. Care to give me an update?”

“Another plan is needed. The item was moved.”

“Moved. Are you freaking kidding me? Do you know how... impatient our client is?” he barked.

While the lines were secure, the items in question were never mentioned. We couldn’t risk anyone finding out about our operation or the people involved. Far too many lives depended o
n silence and secrecy.

“I am well aware. We obviously have a leak within the organization. I suggest you find out who that is before I am forced to tell the head of the Italian family what transpired. I doubt he’d take very kindly to knowing millions of dollars were placed at risk because some fucking asshole wasn’t able to keep his mouth shut.”

“You’re making accusations now?” Dante countered.

“I am telling you what you need to hear, Dante. I suggest you wrap your hand around the loose end or any and all of our missions could be compromised.”

He hissed under his breath. “If what you say is true, the leak will be plugged.”

“Because of my suspicions, a new plan is in motion.”

Dante hesitated, cursing in Italian. “You are aware of the timing.”

“Absolutely.” I was shocked her screams were as loud as they were, her anger actually giving me a smile. She had a set of lungs on her.

“Then make certain and provide details as required. You know exactly what I mean.” He ended the call abruptly, much like always. I tossed the phone, making a sharp turn onto a darkened street. There was no one following me. I took a deep breath, holding it in.

Yeah, I knew. At this point I wasn’t comfortable saying anything else and doubted I’d provide the report he was looking for. If I was right and we had a traitor in our midst and given the timing surrounding the prison escape, I had to make certain of which players I could trust.

In my gut, I had the distinct feeling things were going to get messy.

  * * *

The drive was uneventful and as I pulled through the expansive gating system, I realized that she remained quiet. Too quiet. A moment of anxiety rushed through me, forming a line of sweat across my brow. There was one guard on duty, keeping an eye on the place. Up to this point, there was no worry about anyone taking the time to find out who I was or where I lived; however, that was about to change.

As I stopped the car, Tony appeared out of the shadows. He was the largest of the men I employed, a recent recruit brought on by Dante at the insistence of our client. From what I’d heard, Tony had worked for some of the most notorious crime families in Italy during his career. His last job entailed working for the very people who’d hired the Specialists in the first place. I wasn’t thrilled, nor did I trust him entirely, although his reputation as a ruthless killer might come in handy. Still, I had to be careful with my actions.
