“We have to do the meet and greet thing to,” Sharon told her. “But I’ll get a P.A. to bring you some snacks and keep you company until the show starts. Cool?”
“Sure,” Mandy nodded. She’d never been doted before on and she could sense their pity, but she wanted nothing less than to be left alone.
True to their word, a production assistant showed up with a sandwich in a styrofoam container. It wasn’t the tastiest thing she’d ever eaten, but Mandy happily munched on it while the assistant, a man about her age, sat with her on the couch. He didn’t say much, but she was happy to have the company while she sat in the greenroom.
Sharon and Caroline returned to the greenroom just as people were starting to come in to the stadium seats. The production assistant left almost as soon as the women entered the room, and before long other Starlets and managers were filling the space to watch the show.
“Jay’s the opening match tonight,” Sharon informed her as Mandy hobbled over to the window. “He’s up against Dave again. Should be pretty fun to watch.”
“Dave?” Mandy asked.
“Red Stark,” Caroline laughed. “They’ve had a rivalry the last few weeks. As far as I know they have a couple more matches after tonight, but being the opener is a pretty big deal.”
“Cool,” Mandy said as she leaned on the windowsill. She watched as Jay stormed out of the back and the crowd roared for him as he pulled off his shirt and threw it into the audience.
“So smart of him to turn face,” Sharon nodded as she watched Jay’s entrance. “I don’t think he can ever go back to heel again, but stranger things have happened.”
“Everyone keeps saying things like ‘heel’ and ‘face’, but I don’t get it,” Mandy had to ask. “I don’t understand.”
“A heel is a bad guy,” Caroline explained. “And a face is a good guy. Long time wrestling slang. You’ll get used to it.”
Mandy returned her focus to the ring. They were pretty far away, but she still go an excellent view of the two wrestlers as they began their match. She watched Jay throw his opponent, and she gasped when it looked like the other man broke Jay’s back over his knee.
“He’s fine,” Caroline assured her. “It looks worse than it is. Still hurts though.”
“Looks like,” Mandy nodded as she watched from between the two Starlets. The crowd roared below them and she leaned as close to the glass as she could to see Jay climb to the top of the ropes and then throw himself into the air, slamming his body on to Red Stark’s while the crowd went wild.
“Here comes his finisher,” Caroline told her. “He calls it the Snake Bite. It’s a pretty lame name for an awesome move if you ask me, but it’s got to make sense with the persona, ya know?”
“Sure,” Mandy nodded like she understood. She was more worried about Jay getting hurt than what the moves were called. How he was able to flip the other man over while holding him in a headlock seemed insane, but he made it look effortless as both their feet left the mat and then they landed with a sickening snap.
“He’s got him now,” Sharon cheered. “God I use to have such a crush on Jay.”
“Really?” Mandy asked, trying to sound as polite as possible. In truth, hearing the Starlet say she was interested in Jay made her stomach drop, but she tried to shrug it off.
“Like a million years ago,” Sharon laughed, easily picking up on Mandy’s unease. “Then I met Joel, he goes by Jack Hustle in the ring. He’s got a match later that should be pretty good, despite it being a filler. Jay’s never dated someone in the company.”
“Oh,” Mandy nodded. She knew right now was not the time to be worrying about whether Jay was dating anyone, but she couldn’t help but wonder. She was in no position be dating anyone, she still hadn’t even officially ended things with Ronnie. Yet still she let herself think of it, just for a second.
Her phone ringing from where she’d left it on the couch brought her back to reality. It had to be the diner, she’d missed work and they were either calling to check to make sure she was okay or to fire her. Either way, she had to let them know she was quitting without notice and now was as good a time as any.
“I’ll be right back,” Mandy said as she hobbled over to her phone.
“You’ll miss the end of the match!” Caroline protested, but Mandy could hear the announcer calling the three count and she knew Jay had won.
“I have to take this,” she explained as she got her phone and stepped out into the hall before she answered the call.
“Donna?” she asked, expecting it to be her boss on the other end of the phone.
“Where the hell are you?” Ronnie’s voice barked at her through her cell.
“Ronnie,” Mandy sighed as her shoulders slumped.
“Damn right it’s me,” he shouted at her so loudly she needed to move the phone away from her ear as he spoke. “Where are you?”
“I don’t know if I should tell you,” she said, trying to keep her voice calm and steady. “Ronnie,” she said as she mustered her courage. “It’s over. I can’t be your girlfriend anymore.”
“What?” he screamed at her. “Oh, I get it. You’re with that wrestler! You think he’s going to protect you? You think he’s going to love you like I love you? You think he’s going to be your boyfriend and travel the world with you? Bullshit, he’ll leave you once the next pretty girl comes along. I’m twice the man he is. Wrestling isn’t even real!”
“It’s not about him,” she tried to tell Ronnie, though her voice was starting to break. “This is about you and me. I can’t be with someone who beats me. Not anymore.”
“Bitch!” Ronnie yelled back at her. “Tell me where you are! It’s not over until I say it’s over. I’ll find you! I’ll kill you if you don’t come home right now. I’ll fucking kill you!”
He was still screaming threats at her when she ended the call. He just tried calling her right back, so she turned her phone off as she slid down the wall to the floor as tears started to trail down her cheeks.
She cried because it was over, it was really over. She cried because he’d threatened her and she believed he really would make good on it if he found her, but strangely enough, she mostly cried about what he said about Jay. His assurance that Jay would just leave her for another girl and she’d be all alone scared her more than anything else. Mandy knew it was stupid, but what could she do?
“Mandy?” Jay’s deep voice caught her attention as he rounded the corner in the hallway. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing,” she lied as she wiped away a tear. “Ronnie called,” she admitted when Jay kneeled down to help her back to her feet. “He,” she sniffed. “He threatened me again.”
“We need to call the cops,” Jay urged her, but Mandy still refused.
“We can’t!” she choked.
“Jesus, Mandy!” Jay snapped at her and when his arms raised up she instinctively flinched and pulled away from him like he was going to hit her. Instead he pulled her into his big, muscular arms and kissed the top of her head. “I won’t if you don’t want me to,” he assured her as she trembled in his arms. “But we should. I’ve been there, it won’t stop until you do something about it.”
“What do you mean?” she asked as she pressed herself against his muscular chest. He smelled of sweat and victory. They were man smells, comforting smells.
“Don’t worry about it, baby girl,” he told her as he kissed her head again. Then his lips moved lower and he used his hand to lift her chin and he kissed her lips. His touch was light at first, but grew deeper as Mandy’s lips began to kiss his back.
“We shouldn’t,” he said as he pulled back from her.
“I know,” she agreed, but she let her arms wrap around his neck and she pulled him back for another kiss. She shuddered as his tongue met her lips, but she parted them and let him explore her mouth while her fingers found his long hair.
“I want you,” he whispered as their lips parted and Mandy answered with a nod. The hall was still
abandoned, but someone could come out of the greenroom at any moment. They needed to find a more private space, and they needed to find it soon.
“This way,” Jay said as he led Mandy by the hand down the hall. She almost had to skip to keep up on her bad foot, but she didn’t care. She’d wanted Jay since the moment she’d first seen him. It wasn’t the best time and they both knew it, but their passion and need had clouded their reason. Mandy needed him and she didn’t care what the consequences might be.
When Jay found the room he was looking for, he wasted no time in pulling Mandy into it and kissing her as he lifted her on to a desk. He kicked the door closed behind him and pulled off the shirt he’d put on after the match before he found the light so that they could see each other in the small room.
With the light on, Mandy let herself look around. They appeared to be in an office that was used more for storage than any actual work, but at least it looked clean. She had been right, she was sitting on an old wooden desk, but she stopped exploring the room when her eyes went back to Jay.
In the ring, he didn’t seem at all naked in only his wrestling trunks and boots, but when they were alone he seemed so much more bared to her. His long hair hung over his shoulders and he was staring at her too, but Mandy let her eyes trail over the beautiful tattoos that traced down his arms. He was so perfect and for a second she let herself wonder what a man like him was doing with a woman like her.
“What’s wrong?” he asked as he moved to kiss her again. “Do you want me to stop?”
“No,” she shook her head before her hands went to his square jaw. “I’m just in shock. You’re so gorgeous.”
“So are you,” he smiled as he kissed her. His hands went to her shirt and she didn’t stop him when he pulled it over her head, but then she remembered the bruises that dappled her skin.
If he noticed the marks, he was kind enough to ignore them as he kissed down her neck and across her collarbone. His hands went to her slim waist and pulled her towards himself as he continued to kiss her while her hands ran over his thick black hair.
As his fingers reached the cups of her bra she moaned in pleasure and anticipation for what was about to come. Mandy spread her knees and Jay nestled between them as his fingers trailed around to her back and towards the clasp of her bra, which he undid with ease.
“God I want you,” he growled as his fingers moved down to her leggings. Her response was a moan, but it was enough to make his hands move quicker as he tugged her leggings and panties down in one swift movement.
It was her turn to undress him, and Jay continued to kiss her as Mandy’s fingers went to his tight black wrestling trunks. He was such a big man and she couldn’t contain her excitement to see what was hidden under his trunks, but she never could have imagined just how impressive he truly was.
“Oh my god,” she said as she pulled down his trunks. He was already hard and he was bigger than any man she’d ever seen. Not that she’d seen many, but he certainly put Ronnie to shame. His cock was big, thick, and deliciously tan and he was hard for her.
With his trunks down, it was like she’d freed the beast inside of him and Jay pulled her close again. Her bum almost fell forward off the desk and she had to hold on to him for balance, but he was strong enough to easily hold her as his lips met hers again.
Mandy let herself lean back on the desk as she opened her legs wider for Jay. His hands went to her legs and pulled her closer while he teased her with the head of his hard cock. She was so wet and ready for him as she wrapped her legs behind his and pulled him forward to try to get him inside her, but he continued to tease her.
“Please,” she moaned. “I want you.”
Jay’s eyes met hers as he finally began to push himself into her. Mandy let out a low moan as her body struggled to accommodate his size and her fingers dug into the muscular flesh of his arms, but Jay took her slowly and continued to kiss her as his cock filled her.
He filled her so completely and Mandy moaned loudly as Jay began to thrust into her. She had to hold on to his shoulders as he began to pick up speed and her body shuddered as pleasure overtook her.
Jay’s hand went to her breast and he rolled her nipple between his thumb and forefinger as he continued to rhythmically thrust with his hips. Mandy moaned louder as he took her other nipple between his lips and her fingers went to his hair as she squeezed him with her legs in an effort to pull him even deeper inside her.
His fingers released her nipple and then found their way to the pearl of her pleasure that was nestled between the silky folds of her sex. Mandy hissed with pleasure as Jay touched his thumb to her sensitive nub and began to lightly stroke it while he continued moving himself in and out of her.
“I want you to come,” Jay growled in her ear before he nipped at her skin. “Come for me.”
It wasn’t hard for her to fulfil his request as he so expertly brought her pleasure to a peak. Mandy moaned deeply as her body shuddered hard and tensed around Jay’s cock. Her fingers scratched along his back as she came, but Jay didn’t release her clit until she was panting from the force of her orgasm.
“God, you’re sexy,” Jay groaned as he began to thrust harder into her limp and exhausted body. Mandy could only manage small, clipped moans of pleasure as Jay claimed her, but when he came deep inside her, she purred as she felt his hot seed spill within her.
When he finished, Jay almost collapsed on top of her, but he caught himself before he could. Mandy raised her fingers to his face and gently kissed him as he slowly pulled himself from her. He had been almost forceful in his animalistic lovemaking, but when they’d finished, Jay pulled her into his arms and kissed her as she felt the trail of his cum slide down her leg.
“I think we need to clean up,” Mandy giggled as Jay helped her down from the desk.
“Fuck it,” Jay smiled at her as he kissed her again. “Who’s going to know it was us?”
“You’re rotten,” she swatted him, but the idea of leaving their mess made her feel so naughty that she didn’t argue as they dressed and snuck back out of the secluded office.
Somehow it seemed no one had come across them while they’d been in the office and Jay helped Mandy hobble down to the entrance of the stadium where his bike was waiting.
“Don’t you have stuff to do here?” she asked as she kissed his cheek.
“Nope,” he smiled. “All done here, and we have to get moving early in the morning. I’m sure Iva will have lots for you to do and you’ll need to get to work pretty early.”
“Wait, so we could have just gone back to the hotel?” Mandy asked as she put on the helmet Jay had given her.
“And spoil the fun?” Jay asked her as he kissed her hand. “Besides, we can go for round two. If you’re up for it.”
“Definitely,” Mandy nodded and wrapped her hands around Jay’s waist as she got on the bike.
The ride back to the hotel was short, but Mandy couldn’t stop from thinking about the change her life seemed to be crashing through in only two short days. She’d gotten herself a new job, hopefully one she’d keep, and somehow had made plans to travel the country with a professional wrestling company. She’d be leaving Ronnie behind, hopefully far behind, and had met someone new. Someone new that she hoped wouldn’t turn out to be a fling, but as that thought entered her mind she let her fingers hold on just a little tighter to Jay’s stomach.
Fling or not, she was along for the ride. She couldn’t say for sure what the future might bring, but for once in her life she was excited to see where the wind might take her.
