  Chapter 11

  Aiden

We hop into my SUV, leaving the police station after two hours of questioning and filling out forms. I’m about to start the vehicle when her phone rings. She looks at the caller ID then sends it to voicemail, so I ask, “Why didn’t you answer it?”

  “It’s my parents.”

“They’re probably just worried about you.”

The phone rings again, and this time with a roll of her eyes, she answers it. “What’s up?”

I just click my seatbelt when she says, “No, I’m not coming home.” My hands wrap around the steering wheel, feeling the tension. They don’t quit. Maybe they’re worried about her. I know if that happened to my kid, I’d do everything I could to make sure they were safe.

The voice on the other end of the phone became loud. “Young lady you will come home now. I thought having your things stolen would have brought you back.”

“What’s that supposed to mean? You act like you’re glad I was robbed,” she exclaims, and I’m in agreement.

“I am. You belong home and marrying Thomas.”

That’s it. I’d had enough of hearing her father being a total fucking cunt. I snatch the phone from her hands and greet the motherfucker.

“She isn’t going anywhere. Kate’s mine, and fuck if she’s coming back to Texas to marry some douchebag. And if you want to test me, I’ll bury you.”

“Boy, who the hell do you think you are talking to? She’s my daughter and is engaged to someone else.”

“I’m only going to repeat myself once. She’s mine. Now if you ever call her again with attitude, I’ll dig a little deeper into your finances, Mr. Sloan.”

“Fine, keep the little bitch. She’s no longer welcome here,” he scoffs, hanging up on me.

“Well, she’s forever welcome with me.” I want to launch the phone out the window.

“Does he normally talk to you like that?” I ask with a little more anger than I should have when speaking to my sweet woman.

“When no one is around,” she admits, refusing to look at me.

I can’t have that. I cup her chin and turn her face to mine. Her beautiful blue eyes are filled with tears. It breaks my damn heart. How can people be mean to her? I won’t tolerate it from anyone.

Brushing my hand along her jaw, I apologize, “Baby, I’m sorry. I don’t understand why he’s insistent about you marrying that guy.”

“I know why,” she sighs. “He owes Thomas money, and I’m the payoff. Me in exchange for the debt cleared.”

“That’s not going to happen. I won’t let anyone take you from me unless you want to leave me.”

“I don’t ever want to leave you,” she confesses in a choking sob.

“Don’t cry. Good, because I didn’t really mean that. I’d do whatever I could to make you stay,” I growl, leaning in and stealing a deep kiss.

“Oh Aiden,” she moans as I tug on her hair.

A tap on the window forces us apart.

“Hey. This is a police station parking lot. You might not want to get too wild, or we’ll be locking you up for public misconduct.” It’s the same officer who took our report.

“Sorry, Officer Owens,” we apologize at the same time.

“Getting lucky is great way to celebrate especially when it comes to this holiday, but at least take it home. Have a good St. Patrick’s Day,” he teased, walking away with a smile.

“He’s got a great point, but since it is St. Patrick’s Day, do you want to go eat some corned beef and cabbage at a restaurant?” I ask as we both straighten up in our seats.

“Sure. I could totally go for that.” She rubs her hands together with a greedy grin.

We stop off at a local restaurant where the smell of corned beef permeates through the air. “A table for two,” the hostess asks me.

  “Yes, please.”

“Please follow me.” I take Kate’s hand and lead her to a small booth.

An older waitress comes up to us with a smile and a ton of green on. She has one of those headbands with the springy clovers on top. “Hi there. I’m Karen. Happy St. Patrick’s Day.”

“Same to you,” Kate says. I love that the call, and its resolution seem to have been pushed away for the time being. “It’s surprisingly quiet for St. Patrick’s Day.”

“The last rush just left. You got here at the right time. I’d say in about ten minutes this place will be full. Can I get you something to drink?”

  “I’ll have a coffee.”

  “Ooh, me too.”

“Okay. I’ll be right back.” She pats the back of the seat behind me and leaves.

  “How are you doing, baby?”

“Great. All things considered. In fact, probably better than before.”

“So how long have they been trying to pawn you off on him.”

“This past year. They promised me that I’d have the time I needed to see if life in Chicago would work for me, but…” She’s distracted by her own thoughts.

“Kate,” I call her out of them. “But what?”

“But, I have the terrible feeling that as crazy as it sounds they had something to do with the whole eviction and the theft.”

“It’s not that crazy. After hearing him speak…” Karen returns with a pot of coffee and fills the cups on the table for us.

“Sorry for interrupting. The cream and sugar is over there,” she points to the bowl on the other end of the table.

“Do you need time to decide what you’d like?” Her voice is as sweet as pie and welcoming.

“Actually, we’d love your corned beef dinner,” Kate answers.

  “Wonderful. Rye bread?”

“Please.” I love Rye bread with my corned beef.

“None for me.” Kate waves the idea off with a disgusted look.

“Okay. That’ll be coming up.” She leaves us alone again.

  “Not a fan?”

“No. I’m a very basic roll or white bread kind of girl.”

“That’s fair.” I don’t want to bring up our old conversation. Instead, I jump to school for her. “So this is your first year in college?”

“No. I went to a junior college for two years in my hometown, but I wanted more and not to be under my parents’ thumb or Thomas’s.”

“Yeah, let’s not talk about him. The bastard makes me want to commit murder.” I had to control the insane need to go there and choke him. If he even calls her, I might end him, starting with his financials.

  Chapter 12

  Kate

Today is the first time we’re apart, and it aches more than I expected, but I’m not alone in that. Aiden has sent me like ten messages since this morning.

My day of classes is almost over, but Aiden’s still at work. The teaching aide is getting on my nerves. He’s been staring at me throughout the entire class. He’s new and obviously doesn’t care about the student teacher rules.

As soon as class is over, I rush to get away. I’m going to have to take a bus to Aiden’s condo. Stepping out on the sidewalk, I’m caught by surprise when I see Aiden step out of the Lincoln. I’m about to head toward him when the TA grabs my arm. “Hello, Katherine. I hoped to catch you before you left. Have dinner with me.”

“Sorry, I have a boyfriend,” I tell him, trying to move a few steps toward Aiden, but he hasn’t let my arm go.

“So, you’re not married,” he adds like a smug prick.

“And I’m not interested in you,” I inform him.

“Don’t be so bitchy.” I wrench my arm from him and about to smack him when Aiden appears.

“If you don’t get the fuck away from her, I will bust your head in,” Aiden snarls, getting in his face. The TA backs off and leaves without another word.

“Who the fuck is that dick?” Aiden asks, looking toward the jerk.

  “The TA for the class.”

  “Not for long,” he grumbles.

“Don’t bother with it. I only have two months of classes.”

>   “That’s eight times to see him. Not happening.”

“Fine, I just don’t want to deal with the tension in class.”

“Don’t worry, Ms. Sloan,” my professor says behind me. We turn around, and he continues, “I witnessed the entire exchange. I put him there because there were rumors of his behavior and I hoped to catch him in action. Sorry for the discomfort, but you won’t have to worry about him anymore.”

  “Thank you,” I say.

“Kate, let’s get out of here. I have to go back to the office.”

He opens the passenger door for me and closes it once I’m seated. Damn, I love his chivalry.

“Why did you come for me?”

“Because I worry about you, and I don’t want you taking public transportation,” he remarks, pulling out of the parking spot.

“I’m sorry I interrupted your workday.”

“Please. I needed an excuse to see you,” he adds, taking my hand and bringing it to his lips. My pussy throb from the simple gesture.

  “I missed you, too.”

“I’ll drop you off and then I’ll be home by six.”

“I’ll be waiting, my love,” I sigh.

A groan escapes his lips. “Damn this is going to be a long day.”

  ***

At six, I’m sitting on the edge of the sofa, and like clockwork, Aiden comes through the door. “Holy fuck,” he growls, dropping his briefcase and coat on the floor as he sees me in nothing but a pair of panties and a matching bra.

“I’ve missed you, Mr. McAvoy. I want your big cock and fabulous mouth all over and in me,” I confess with the wanton, lustful tone I feel washing through me.

I watch as he swallows hard and comes toward me, tugging off his tie with his jaw taut and a hungry look in his eyes.

When he reaches me, I slide my hands under his suit jacket and push it off his shoulders. “I love you, Kate.”

I pause, knowing it’s only been a few days, but I feel the same way. “I love you, too,” I confess, slamming my mouth to his. He roughly cups my ass and lifts me into his arms, carrying me to our bedroom.

We tear at each other’s clothes, and he thrusts into me as my back hits the bed. Rolling and grinding hard on the mattress until the frame starts rocking. My core shakes as my orgasm comes to the edge. I grab his hair, pulling it as he tugs on mine in a passionate kiss.

Our cries of ecstasy rip through the condo and I feel him come deep into my womb, attempting to make a baby.

“Fuck, I love being in your pussy, marking it and making it mine.”

  “I love being yours.”

“Now just to get my ring on your finger.” His hands cradle mine and then I feel the metal on it. Looking down, I gasp. I’ve never seen anything that big before.

  “Oh my. It’s huge.”

“I love hearing you say that,” he teases, flexing his cock deep inside me.

“Well, I love feeling it just as much. I love you Aiden.”

  “So then you’ll marry me?”

“Yes, but I think you have to give me another orgasm to seal the deal.”

“I’ve got that,” he growls, thrusting in and out of me all over again.

  Chapter 13

  Aiden

It’s the middle of April and a call this morning puts me an even better mood than I’m already in. Knowing that had one thing been changed that day, I would have never met my Kate makes me feel so unbelievably lucky.

Derek knocks on the bedroom door, then steps in and closes it behind him. “You needed me?”

I sent him a text to come up before the ceremony because I had to talk to him. “Derek, I wanted to thank you in private for the information. They’re all being arrested as we speak.”

Her parents and the jackass wannabe fiancé Thomas Sanders were into a lot more than just selling Kate into marriage. They helped run a human trafficking ring and with the private investigators I hired and the cops in Dallas that Derek knew we were able to catch them during a transaction.

“No problem. Her parents are pieces of shit. We got extremely fortunate that their plan didn’t work,” he mutters. They had paid for the moving company to steal all of her things and paid off the roommate to lie and empty Kate’s bank account.

“Very fucking lucky. I can’t believe how close I was to losing her.” That fuck that had been trying to get her to have dinner with him was a trafficker. Sanders hired him to nab her after she refused to come back.

“It’s amazing how being in the right place at the right time paid off.”

“Tell me about it. I owe you big time.”

“Nah, I think it’s something like good karma. You helped us out and in the process found the love of your life.”

“Speaking of, we better get this show on the road. I’m so damn ready to marry her. How do I look?”

“Not that she would care but let me adjust this.” He grabs my tie and straightens it. “There. Now you’re perfect.”

“Thanks, bro.” I clap his back and step out of the room in their house and out to the backyard where the wedding is about to start.

I took my place at the alongside my brother-in-law as my sweet little niece, who had her own part in my happiness, walks down the aisle dropping flower petals. She gave me a wink and a thumbs up as she took her seat.

We all face the backdoor as the music begins and Kate makes her appearance. She walks toward me in a flowing white wedding gown that had a green band at her waist. The tiny waist that I know now carries my baby. It’s quick, but we’re going to be parents.

As she came to my side, I have to tell her how beautiful she is. “You are radiant and absolutely perfect. I’m so damn lucky.”

  “I’m the lucky one.”

“I love you,” I whisper, bringing her hand to my lips.

  “I love you,” she replies.

  “Marry me,” I command.

“With pleasure.” Her eyes show me how much she means those words.

With a few guests in attendance, I became the luckiest man in the world as I married the most beautiful woman in the world.

  Epilogue

  Aiden

  Seven Years Later…

“Come for me,” I command, thrusting inside her cunt. I love the feel of her body when she’s carrying my baby. Kate’s round belly turns me on all damn day. I barely make it through the front door before I’m slamming my cock into her.

Three babies later, and I can’t get enough. Jason, James, and Jenna are perfect little beings. We want a houseful of children and since we moved to the suburbs with five-thousand square feet and seven bedrooms to fill.

“I’m coming,” she screams, arching her back with a hand planted on the kitchen counter. I’m so grateful she gave up teaching last year to spend more time with the kids and to give me a couple more. I love making them.

“Damn right,” I roar, pumping loads of come into her pussy.

“What are we going to do with each other when we get old?”

“I’ll still fuck you on any surface. Fuck, you can hang onto the walker, and I’ll pump into you.”

  “Ass.”

“Yes, your ass is very nice. Happy St. Patrick’s Day,” I whisper in her ear.

  “Happy Anniversary.”

“I’m the luckiest man in the world,” I moan, pulling out of her core.

The kids are with their aunt and uncle. Derek and Jules moved with us to the suburbs in a nice house a few miles away. Both of them took positions at the local police station and hospital.

We still babysit more for them than they do for us, but this is a special night for us, and I plan to have Kate all to myself for a night of getting lucky.
