Hacking That Sass: Sassy Ever After Page 8

“I can’t wait,” she said as she reached for him, positioning his shaft at her entrance.

“So don’t.” He thrust his hips up toward her, shoving the first couple of inches inside her.

Her sigh rushed past her lips. Luca captured her with his gaze, silently demanding she go the rest of the way. That was one order she wouldn’t deny. She held her breath as she sunk onto him. He filled her, stretching her, sending the bundle of nerves inside her in a frenzy of pleasure that left her breathless.

She lifted her hips and lowered herself again, taking him. Each stroke of his cock catapulted her closer to the edge of another release. She wasn’t going to last long. “Feels too good,” she said, warning him. She’d barely touched him at all, yet she was closing in on another climax.

He brought his hands to her waist, and when she tried to slide up his shaft again, he stopped her. With his cock buried as deep into her as it could go, he stared into her eyes. “Don’t move.” The same desperate need clawing at her came through in those two words.

She sucked in a shaky breath and did as he asked.

“I want to feel you come around me. Feel every squeeze of your body on mine. Can we do that?” Luca asked.

Did he think she could talk when she was so close to shattering? When she nodded, he leaned forward and captured her lips, taking the option away. The move had his cock stroking her at a different angle and causing a flurry of little spasms along the walls of her pussy. Luca groaned into their kiss before pulling back. “Don’t move,” he reminded her.

Had she? She didn’t think she had.

He slid his hand from her hip to the juncture between her thighs. With a tender, slow caress, he circled her clit with his thumb. It was all she could do to stay still as he repeated the sweet torture, only breaking the cycle to swipe over it every few rotations. Each time he did, her pussy clenched around him as her body climbed toward the peak of her release. Her breathy sighs filled the room, but she didn’t care. Luca’s eyes flashed each time he heard it, making her bolder.

She stroked his shoulder and chest with featherlight touches, scraping her nails over his hard nipples, but otherwise, she didn’t move. He took every part of her in with his gaze as though memorizing her. It should have made her uncomfortable, but it didn’t. In his arms, she’d never felt sexier. She wanted him to see her—see her passion—and know he was at the heart of it.

His lazy strokes circled faster, and her breath hitched in her throat. His chest glistened with sweat, and the muscles in his shoulders bunched. Without warning, he pulled his hips back as far as he could and thrust back into her. His moan mingled with her desperate sigh.

“Oh, God, Luca. It’s too much. I can’t,” she pleaded her body quivering on the cusp of release. Every cell inside her thrummed with the need to clamp down on him and take everything he had to offer.

“You can, mate. Come for me. Make me feel it,” he said, his voice more growl than anything she’d ever heard. It was sexy as hell. He quickened his strokes, circling and flicking in smooth moves that sent pleasure rushing through her.

“Yes,” she cried out, unable to stop her shout from exploding from her as she threw her head back, ecstasy flooding every part of her as her pussy clenched around his hard shaft. He didn’t let up, drawing out her pleasure with his thumb until she was once more boneless in his arms.

Luca caressed every inch of her skin with his warm, callused hands as she melted against him. This wasn’t over. He hadn’t come yet, but she needed a second to catch her breath. He didn’t rush her, didn’t try to move things along. His tender touches filled her heart as much as his cock still filled her body.

Only once she was able to open her eyes and see straight did she lift her head from where she’d buried it in the crook of his neck. The smile he gave her could light an entire town.

“Maybe we should get back to work,” he half-heartedly suggested, not trying to remove her from his body in the slightest.

She snorted—she couldn’t help it. That wasn’t happening. “Or maybe we can finish what we started.”

He feathered a finger across her cheek, but before he could say anything else, she grasped his wrist and brought the digit to her lips. “Not up for negotiation,” she said before sucking on the tip. Luca had given her pleasure—twice—without demand or expectation.

“The only real question here is how do you want it? Want me to ride you until you come, or do you want to fuck me?” The dirtiness of her words sent a fresh wave of excitement through her. She wasn’t sure which she wanted more. Inside her, his cock jerked.

Before she could register what was happening, he lifted her off his lap and set her on her feet. “I want to fuck you so bad it hurts,” he admitted with a grunt, as he stepped behind her. With a firm hand between her shoulders, he pressed her into the position he wanted. She braced herself on the back of the couch and peered at him over her shoulder.

He had his cock in one hand, slowly stroking it from root to tip as he admired from her neck all the way down to her ass. By the time he poised himself at her entrance, she barely managed to stay still. He slid the head inside, then met her gaze as he slammed home.

“Fuck,” Luca muttered. His lids drifted closed, and a muscle in his jaw jumped. “You feel so good.”

He pulled most of the way out, then thrust forward again, filling her. With her ass high in the air, the angle of his cock scraped against her G-spot. Unable to do anything but ride the wave of pleasure, she closed her eyes and moaned. Luca grasped her hips and drove into her, fast and hard, filling her until there was no room for anything but him in her mind, and her body. Her pussy throbbed and clenched around him. She’d never been blessed by multiple orgasms unless she’d given them herself, much less so fast in between.

His fingers dug into her flesh hard enough to leave marks, but she didn’t care. Each driving thrust shoved her closer to release. Every grunt and moan that slipped from his lips tore another sigh from hers.

With a relentless pace of skin slapping against skin and the head of his cock bumping the end of her channel, he sent her flying again. With a yell she was glad no one was around to hear, she came hard, clamping and releasing around his pounding cock.

A second later, Luca’s strokes faltered. He pumped into her twice more, then pulled her back onto him so that he was as deep inside her as he could go. Fingers digging into the soft flesh of her hips, Luca stiffened, and his cock jerked inside her as he came.

Luca glanced at his mate. He probably sported the same goofy grin on his face that she had on hers, and he was cool with that. After they’d made love, she’d suggested going to the house to wash up before the pack converged on them, but in the end, all that had accomplished was them having another round of sex in his shower—and then, his bed. He loved her jasmine and cinnamon smell on his sheets—in his home.

Just thinking about how good she tasted had him growing hard again in a flash. The woman would be the death of him, but what a way to go. He took a deep breath, filling himself with the scent of their lovemaking. Every damned wolf that came anywhere near the barn would smell it and know she was his. Good.

The last thing he needed was for one of the unmated males to come sniffing around her before he could convince her to let him give her his mark. Whether she ever fully embraced his world and chose to take a wolf, she was his. He’d deal with anyone who dared try stealing her from him. Painfully.

“Quit your growling,” she said, not looking up from her monitor, her grin widening.

When she’d suggested separate showers after their last lovemaking session, he’d voiced his reluctance. Her cheeks had turned a lovely shade of red when he’d told her why, but then she’d smiled and shrugged. “If you don’t mind, then I don’t either. I don’t care if they all know what we’ve been up to this afternoon,” she’d said, soothing his possessive wolf with her reassurance.

She shook her head and turned her attention to him b
efore blowing him a kiss. “I’m not stepping foot out of this loft without you, so there’s nothing to worry about.”

The tightness in his chest loosened a bit more. “Good.”

Her focus returned to her monitor, and she frowned.

“Take a look at this,” she said, pointing at a line of coding.

He leaned closer, studying what her fingernail tapped at on the screen.

“That, right there, is the redirect. It’s looping you out. And I’m betting that it’s strategically placed in other areas so that if you get past one, you’re sure to be caught in the web with the next, or the one after that.”

Luca blinked. It was simple, yet effective as fuck. A little tweak here and there would make it next to impossible to find them all in one shot and eliminate them. “You’re a fucking genius. I knew you’d be the right person for this job.”

The light blush she’d been sporting since the first time he’d had his dick deep inside her darkened at his praise.

A light knock on the loft door was all that kept him from swooping in for a kiss. He didn’t need to ask who was there, their scents had announced them better than any PA system could. “Come in, Maple,” he called out.

Kaitlin’s eyebrows rose, but she didn’t question him.

A second later, Maple came in with Jaxon right behind. “We thought you guys might want some dinner. Niko gave strict orders that no one was to come up here for any reason, but I mean, you guys have to eat, too, right?”

Luca’s stomach growled at the smell of steak. “Thanks, we appreciate it. And thank Niko for us, too.”

Maple set the containers on the coffee table, then pulled out a baggie from her purse, going straight to Kaitlin with it. His eyes narrowed, but he didn’t say a word. What was the woman up to now?

“This is a welcome to the pack gift. I run the Sugar Shack, and these are some of Luca’s favorite candies. You might find a use for these when he's a stubborn ass.”

With a smirk, his alpha female deposited the treasure into his mate’s hands.

Kaitlin’s gaze flitted to his, and her grin widened. “I’m sure you’re right.” Then without looking away, she pulled a shiny foil from the bag, unraveled it, and popped it into her mouth.

It took a second, but she sucked in a breath, and her eyes widened. “Wow, that’s good,” she exclaimed, looking down at the unmarked wrapper, flipping it one way, then the other as though looking for some mysterious secret hiding there.

“Thanks. We just reopened the store. So far, things are going well. If we can iron out production issues this spring, we’ll sell online, too.” Pride laced Maple’s words, as it should. She’d worked her ass off to get the business up and running. Not to mention the candy was to die for.

  Luca’s mouth watered.

Before he could reach for it, though, Kaitlin plunked it on her lap. He could still reach, but with the alpha couple standing right there, he didn’t dare. Or did he? He nibbled on his bottom lip, eyeing the bag.

He was about to reach over when Jaxon cleared his throat. The Alpha’s eyebrows rose, his lips pursed, and his shoulders shook as though he fought against his laughter. “Have you made any headway yet?” he asked, merriment making his words light.

Luca had been aware when wolves had started arriving. Not so much by scent since he’d been holed up in the loft and very happily distracted, but by the increased energy in the air. What had surprised him was the tension that always accompanied pack functions wasn’t there. Maybe his body was sated, and he was too happy to give a shit. Either way, he was glad for the reprieve.

“Kaitlin found some coding we need to look at,” he told the Alpha. No way in hell was he taking credit for her find. She’d spotted that with no help from him. Hell, he’d looked at that same coding for hours and had missed it more times than he cared to admit.

“That’s great. I don’t know what you guys see in all that. It looks like… I don’t even know. Congrats on your discovery,” the Alpha praised, showing Kaitlin the respect she deserved before focusing on him once more. “Are you sure you don’t want to keep your room, man?”

As much as he’d love to see his mate writhing beneath him in his bed again, just the thought of being surrounded by all those people made his skin itch with the need to let the wolf out.

“Positive.” Small talk wasn’t his thing. What he wanted was for the Alpha pair to leave, but he couldn’t say that. A close second was getting his hands on his mate again. Wait, no, that came first. Too bad they weren’t alone. And then there was the damned candy teasing him from her lap.

“Any news on the man who didn’t go home last night?” Kaitlin asked, taking the attention onto herself. Then, without missing a beat, she held the bag out to him.

Luca didn’t need any further invitation. Reaching in, he grabbed two. One for now, and… Who was he kidding? The other one was for now, too. He’d have to convince Kaitlin to give him more later.

All humor drained from Jaxon’s face. “No sign of him yet. I’ve got two of our wolves out searching the forest for him.”

The somber expression told Luca everything. He didn’t expect to find the man alive. “What happened? Need me to get out there?”

The Alpha pointed a glance at Kaitlin.

“She knows what happened to Rylee and that vampires may be after the hard drive.” He didn’t apologize for telling her. He wouldn’t. She deserved the truth.

If Jaxon was surprised by the admission, he didn’t show it. “No, you’re needed here. The sooner that hard drive is cracked, the better off we’ll be. A neighbor said he saw the man speaking with a tall gentleman just outside Mr. Briggs’s place last night. Said one second they were both there, and the next, they were gone as though they’d vanished in thin air.”

  “Fuck.”

“Everyone is on high alert. Be extra vigilant. If the vamps are in town, that means they know the hard drive is here. They’re biding their time.”

“What I don’t get is, why? If they’ve been watching the farm, then they know we’ve pulled the pack in,” Maple added.

With each word the Alpha pair spoke, Kaitlin paled. Her chest rose and fell with quick, nervous breaths, and her fear stung in his nose. “I won’t let anything happen to you, babe,” he assured her again.

“He’s right. You’re safer here than you would be just about anywhere else right now,” Maple added.

Kaitlin swallowed and reached for his hand. When he twined his fingers around hers and gave them a little squeeze, she couldn’t hide the tiny tremors shaking them. “Once the hard drive is gone, they won’t have a reason to hang around Dexter anymore. We’ll have to do as Jaxon said and be extra vigilant. We’ll stay indoors from dusk until dawn, and then when the sun is up, we’ll be careful. I’m sure the men will come into the barn to sleep if we ask them. They’d still be close enough to protect the house, too. And I’ll be with you whenever you want to step foot outside. We’ll keep you safe.”

Jaxon’s jaw dropped, and Maple gasped, drawing their attention.

When neither said a word, Luca huffed.

  “What?” Kaitlin asked.

He didn’t need to ask. Luca knew why their mouths were gaping. Part of him wished he could rewind, shut the fuck up, and avoid the humiliation that was coming, but his mate needed the comfort his words provided. He’d never deny her that.

Maple recovered first. “In the months since I’ve known Luca, I think that’s the most words I’ve ever heard him speak. Period. Not just at once, but in total.”

Kaitlin snorted and shook her head, the slight shake in her fingers disappearing in an instant. “Even before I arrived yesterday, we spoke all the time. Maybe he’s just selective in who he chooses to talk to.”

And just like that, the tightness in his chest unfurled. He grinned at Kaitlin’s fierce defense of him. She had a protective streak a mile wide. His mate would make a great mother to their pups one day.

Maple laughed, and Jaxon scrubbed his palm
over his bearded jaw. He’d have to teach Kaitlin how not to speak to the Alphas. For now, being human, she could get away with it, but if ever she chose to become a shifter, she’d have to show them both the respect their positions afforded them.

“We’ll let you two eat and get back to work. I’ll tell Aric you’re making progress. That should keep him from breathing down your neck for a while,” Jaxon said as he led his mate toward the stairs.

“He’s back in Dexter?” The man had just left.

“Not yet, but he’s on his way. He’s bringing his enforcers with him. I expect them by morning, if not sooner.”

“Shit,” Luca muttered under his breath. He’d be glad for the extra protection, but the dominant energy was going to fray his nerves—bad.

“Keep us posted, and we’ll do our best to keep them out of your hair,” Jaxon promised.

“Will do.” What was he going to say? No? If it were just Aric, he might stand a chance—maybe—but with Jaxon making the demands, there was no other option.

  Fifteen

Kaitlin stretched her neck to the right, then to the left. The knots in her shoulders were as hard as rocks. No amount of arm rotations would get those bad boys out any time soon. After having eaten the delicious steak Maple and Jaxon had brought up for them earlier, she and Luca had gotten back to work and found three more strings that needed their attention. But just when they’d gotten it sorted and thought they’d made some headway, they’d run into another block.

“Come on, time for a break,” Luca said from behind her. When had he gotten up from his chair? He brought his hands to her aching shoulders, massaging the tight spots with firm, steady pressure.

“A break sounds good. I guess going for a walk is out of the question.” She glanced out the window at the dark sky, her eyes landing on the almost full moon brightening the night. Even if Luca thought it would be okay, she wouldn’t put either of them at risk like that.
