Sinful Cravings: Erotic Paranormal Romance (Lake City Stories Book 2) Page 4

I blinked. Shit. “Where’d he go?”

  “He’s hosting a party. Weren’t you invited?”

“No.” My answer came out harsher than I wanted and she flinched. “What’s this about?” The master vampire was not the hosting type.

“I—I’m not sure.” She retreated back into the antechamber.

Without a second thought, I shoved my foot inside to block the door from closing. “Don’t make me come in there for answers, Gigi. I can’t promise to be a good girl, if you catch my drift.”

  She gasped.

“Where can I find him? This is an emergency.”

“He’ll be so mad at me.”

I faced the cameras. “Cowards, you recording this? Where’s Sin?” Gigi was right. Sin would be angry if he didn’t want me to know his whereabouts. He liked to use sharp, pointy toys as punishment. This placed me in a bad spot.

I’d have to hunt. Both my sisters were on their day three of the cycle so Lake City was in for one hell of a night.

Leaving Gigi in the antechamber, I raced to my car before I did something terrible like kissing those shy lips and showing her how to use those slim fingers. Egad, I had to get laid pronto.

  “Pia!”

The handle of the car door was cold in my grip as I hesitated in pulling it.

Gigi stood outside. “The party’s being held above Sin’s club but its invitation only. I can’t help you get in.” Before I could thank her, she slipped back inside, closing the thick metallic door. The locks clanked in place.

I’d better seduce Sin the right way or he’d take it out on Gigi’s hide. Settling in my car, I blasted the heat and drew my coat tighter around my shoulders. Sensation would eventually return to my fingers. The drive back to the club didn’t take long. I parked on the street and watched the entrance.

The bouncers guarded the doorway while people waited to enter. I frequented the club and knew the layout well but I couldn’t recall ever being above. The only staircase led to Sin’s office.

I tugged my coat closed and prepared to exit my car when I glimpsed a familiar face in my review mirror.

Lothar, alpha wolf shifter of Lake City’s pack, biggest womanizer I’d ever met, and the last person I wanted to run into when I was hungry. That wolf had been trying to coax the panties off me since the day I’d met him. He had already succeeded with both my sisters.

  Yeah, gross.

He strode across the street, past the club entrance, and disappeared into the alley. Sin hired the shifters for daytime security and had some kind of faith in Lothar’s loyalty. The vampire probably had something on the alpha.

I snorted and followed his path. Wind whipped along the alley, sending a scatter of frozen debris by my feet. A single light illuminated a metallic external staircase that led to a floor above the club. Bingo.

Someone shuffled at the bottom of the stairway.

My heart raced off at hummingbird speeds and I swallowed a gasp. I took a closer look and sighed with relief. It wasn’t Lothar, just some other shifter. I approached the staircase with all the air of someone who belonged.

He stepped in my way, a clip board in hand. “Name?”

At the sound of his voice my succubus senses tingled in my private place. I couldn’t see his face but he was male and seemed young. An unexpected inviting purr rolled from my throat. I opened my coat ready to toss it to the floor when a frigid arctic wind tore through my dress. I gasped at the assault and rewrapped the girls. My nipples throbbed against the thin material of my dress. “I’m the coat check girl.”

The click of the guard’s teeth snapping shut caught my attention and his clip board hung loose in his hand. “I bet you are.” His hopeful words took me by surprise as he took my hand and kissed it. I didn’t consider myself as beautiful as my sisters but I knew I had an affect on the male species in general.

All the muscles in my body strained at his gentle touch. Instincts roared to feed, to rub flesh on flesh, and find the release I so desperately wanted.

Thank God, he let me go. “I have a break in thirty minutes. Can I come and keep you company?”

“Find me and we’ll see.” If I didn’t find Sin by then, this shifter could be a backup plan. I just didn’t know anything about him. What if he was mated? When I was in this state my pheromones could make men very forgetful. It was taboo to sleep with married people. My race took marriage very seriously for obvious reasons.

Stepping out of the way, he gave me access to the party.

Desire stabbed inside my lower abdomen. I wouldn’t last thirty minutes. Shit.

Stumbling up the stairs, I listened to my heels clanging against the metal. Each step took more effort as I drew away from a possible scrumptious meal. By the time I reached the top, I was panting. Sweat beaded on my forehead in the winter night. I yanked the door open and stepped into a well-lit hallway.

A door to my right was already open. I peeked inside the sitting area and found it empty. It seemed like an excellent place to hide and get my shit together before I jumped the next male that crossed my path. My body burned with an eternal fire. I slipped my coat off and searched the closet for a place to hang it.

A dull thump of a base traveled through the floor from the club below. It was the only music. For a party, this seemed too quiet. Not to mention the half-empty closet of winter coats. Maybe I was early?

Sin shouldn’t be too difficult to find then, but could I do it without touching another male. I knew my body and my limits. One more caress and I was a goner.

The clang of the exterior door closing made me jump and drop my coat. I bent to retrieve it and glimpsed a pair of large black hooves blocking the doorway to the hall. The pant hem almost covered their existence so little glamour was needed to hide them from mortals.

My gaze traveled up and up and up along the trousers that clung to muscular thighs, a narrow waist, and oh-my-god broad shoulders. “You’re a big boy.”

He had a black mohawk with the tips died an ultra red. His chocolate brown eyes widened as they met mine. His hair style screamed party boy but the three piece suit under his black leather jacket whispered businessman.

My starved body did a hip-hip-hooray.

He raised a dark eyebrow and removed his leather coat. “You are?”

I popped back onto my feet, my own coat forgotten as the need took over. Odd how vampires, shifters, and demons were considered top predators of the supernatural world yet they all fell prey to my people when we came to feed. “I’m the coat check girl.” I ran my fingers over his hand before taking his jacket. “Maybe you can help me hang this. I’m a little short to reach the top rack.” At the mention of rack his eyes darted to my chest.

Two males of similar size crowded behind tall, dark, and yummy. “Is something wrong?” One asked as he peeked at me.

“No, go inside and announce our arrival. I’ll be there shortly.” Closing the door, the scrumptious male scanned me from head to toe.

Impatient, my hunger chased away any rational thoughts and instinct took over. My skin seemed raw and the only balm to ease my pain was touch. I’m ashamed to admit that I’d experienced this before. A succubus could control her need with preparation but life liked to toss curve balls and I sucked at catching.

I shrugged out my dress and let it pool around my ankles. Evolution made sure my race was naturally alluring otherwise it would be very difficult to catch a meal. I shook my tight curls loose around my shoulders and made sure the motion set my breasts to bounce. “Hello, dinner.”

He licked his lips and leaned against the door. “I’m Nikodemos Aristarchus.”

In three quick steps I crossed the room, grabbed his shirt by the buttons, and tore it open.

Nik didn’t disappoint. He was of the thick muscle type with a chest made for taking naps on. A little hair grew in the center like a pillow made just for me. Scooping me into his arms, he dragged me across said hard chest in a most pleasing manner.

  Trapped within his ir
on guns, I leaned my forehead against his and met his intense stare as he palmed one of my aching breasts. “Please, don’t tell me you’re shy.”

His severe smile told me my sarcasm was appreciated, for once, and then he pinched my nipple.

Sharp pain mixed with pleasure zinged straight to my pussy. I groaned and arched my head back. “More.” Wrapping my legs around his waist, I ground against him. If I didn’t get his cock inside me soon I’d die.

  Literally.

Wiggling, I finally managed to free myself of his arms and monkey climbed down his body.

“Hey!” Before he could capture me again, I worked his zipper open. He grew still as I worked to free his package.

“Oh my.” I couldn’t help but stroke it, no matter how the size made even me hesitate. Glimpsing his hooves again, I still couldn’t place his race.

He leaned against the door once again with his eyes closed as I double fisted his cock and caressed its length. “Faster.”

“I’ve no problem going faster but lay down so we can both enjoy this.” I tugged at Nik’s shirt and guided my big male onto the floor. Climbing aboard, I set my hands on his chest.

“Wait, you’re not ready. I might hurt you this way.”

I couldn’t help but smile at his thoughtfulness. Maybe I’d actually remember his name after this. “Honey, I’m more than ready.” I set his cock at my entrance and slid him slowly inside.

No doubt about it, Nik pushed my limits. I burned in so many ways I was shocked the coats didn’t go up in flames. Deeper and deeper, he entered until I’d taken all of him.

He lay under me, his fingers gripping my hips. “I don’t like being on the bottom.”

Setting my hands on his thighs behind me, I pumped my hips to the primitive need inside of me. “Too bad.” Times like this I hated being succubus. My sweetie was dealing with snotty wives while I fucked some stranger in a coat room. Shame would come later, and now that I was engaged, maybe guilt. Feeding from my suitors differed from this. Sex with males I knew, that Val knew, never left me feeling…dirty.

Grunting with each thrust, he guided my hips to his desires.

Sweat trickled between my breasts. I palmed and stroked them, trying to ease this voracious yearning for contact.

“You’re so fucking hot.” He spoke the words between driving his cock as hard as he could into me.

I cried out, digging my nails into his skin. “Like that, yes.” I clung and rode his assaulting passion, every move an explosion of pleasure taking me closer to the brink of what I needed.

  Someone pounded on the door.

  “Fuck me, Nik.”

  He pulled out of me.

“No, I was so close.” I reached for him but he was already moving.

He rolled me onto my stomach, setting my knees wide apart. With an expert’s ease, he set himself between my legs and plunged back inside my pussy. In and in and in.

I squirmed and tried to meet his pace but he set his wide hand between my shoulder blades, pinning me in place. Pressing me into the carpet, he in essence drove my hips higher.

“I’ll take care of both of us.” His hand followed the curve of my hip until his finger caressed my clit. With gentle rolls, he enticed my bud while thrusting like a wild animal.

The noises I made seemed impossible yet I heard them as I shattered at the hands of a beast. I clawed at the floor for lack of any other purchase. His name fell from my lips as ecstasy blinded my vision.

His gasps and grunts punctuated my litany.

The energy we created together formed in my lower abdomen, it tasted of fresh grass and wild pastures. I sagged in Nik’s grip, my muscles nothing more than Jell-o. Panting, I rested face down on the floor. I wouldn’t be shocked if I found carpet burns on my cheeks.

Feeding was the easy part, meeting the stranger who fucked me blind was the part I disliked more than anything in the world. I’d rather pick fleas off Cooper in his wolf form while he had a tooth ache then look Nik in the eye. Stupid demon nature, crazy future sister wives, and dang it, Val should have known better.

Nik lowered himself next to me, breathing hard. “Incredible.”

“Yes, she is. And she’s not supposed to be here.”

  I looked over my shoulder.

Sin stood in the doorway watching. “Needed a midnight snack, Pia?”

  Chapter Six

“Fuck you, Sin. Where were you twenty minutes ago?” I tried to sit but my legs refused to function right and it became more of a flop onto my back.

The jerk vampire leaned against the door frame. “Enjoying myself. Should I even ask how you found me and why you need to feed a day early? Can’t your incubus stay on schedule like the rest of us?”

A flutter of cool silk fell upon my flushed skin. Nik had covered my nudity with his shirt. “Sin, the door.” He nodded toward the open entrance where a few curious male guests peeked over the vampire’s shoulders.

Sin gave a snort of disgust before exiting the room and closing the door behind him. It left me alone with Nik of the big dick and hooves.

“Sin, wait!” Could I dress and leave without Nik saying anything…uncomfortable? I attempted coordinating my muscles once more and made it to my sore knees. With a hooked finger, I snatched the strap of my dress puddled on the floor.

Strong hands settled on my upper arms and steadied my wobbly stance. “Let me help.” Nik didn’t make it a question or a request. He slipped my only article of clothing from my fingers and hung it on the coat rack. From his pocket he withdrew a cotton handkerchief, knelt before me, and proceeded to clean the mess he’d left between my thighs. His gentle touch surprised me coming from such a powerfully built creature. He gave me a smug smile.

It took all my will power to not roll my eyes yet the attention sent something aflutter in my stomach.

“You have an incubus lover?” He tossed his handkerchief in a trash bin.

I drew my thighs closed but his hand shot out to stop my movement. Jerking from his touch, I clutched his shirt over my chest. “Yes, and there’ll be no encores of what we just did.”

He raised an eyebrow. “I hurt you?”

“Not in a bad way.” I grabbed for my dress but he blocked my reach.

  “Didn’t I please you?”

How did you break-up with someone you weren’t even dating? I needed to have a long talk with my cowardly spine and not worry so much about hurting people’s feelings except, unlike my most of my kind; I knew how much rejection could sting.

Sliding his hand along my arm, Nik leaned closer, almost touching our noses. “You’re feisty.”

“I’m exhausted and people might want their coats at some point.” I scooted from him but he pinned my legs with his knee. Being small sucked on so many levels.

  “You’re right.”

“I am?” The question bypassed my brain-mouth filter. The males in my life rarely uttered those words to anyone, let alone me, so I didn’t comprehend right off the bat.

Before I could correct myself, he planted his lips on mine. Unlike the sex, his lips explored mine with gentle caresses. He moved slowly, not missing a single spot of my mouth.

Against my will, I melted into his strong, protective arms. Warmth spread over my tired limbs wherever he stroked my skin. I’d spent the evening as a victim to first Val’s hunger then mine and the city seemed larger, darker than usual. Even Nik’s silly gesture of covering my nakedness appealed to my inner damsel in distress.

Taking his time, he kept our kiss chaste in comparison to what we’d just shared. He pulled away and retrieved my outfit then proceeded to help me dress.

I wobbled on my stilettos and hung onto his massive bicep until my balance got its act together. Staring at my traitorous feet, I glimpsed his hooves under the hem of his pants again. “Exactly what species are you?”

“Can’t you guess?” He slid his arms into his shirt, trying to straighten some of the wrinkles.

  “A centaur?” I grimaced. He didn’t ha
ve four legs though. My parents sent us to human schools so my knowledge of supernaturals wasn’t broad.

  He snorted.

I skirted around him to check for details I might have missed while groping his body. No tail or wings or fangs. Glamour shimmered only around his legs so humans would view him as one of their own, except really, really huge.

“I’m a minotaur.” His gaze never left his shirt as he finished buttoning it.

“Oh.” I stared at his head but couldn’t sense any magic covering his appearance. “Why don’t you have a bull’s head?” His collar was crooked and I reached on tiptoe to straighten it.

He gave me an annoyed look. “Why don’t you have demon wings?”

  “You know what I am?”

His expression became more annoyed. “Not many females could have stripped me of my clothes so easily. Succubi seemed to have infested Lake City.”

“I’m sorry for jumping you, bad timing on both of our parts. I’m usually not so out of control.” Geez, I’ve never had to apologize for sex before. I eased toward my coat and the door. “So your people gave up some magic to appear more human?” It’s what mine had done.

“Yes.” He removed my jacket from my hands and hung back next to his. Offering his arm, he gave me a smile smoldering enough to charm a responding grin from me. “I think I deserve your company for a little longer.”

“I have to—I’ve got a meeting to attend.” Hell, I didn’t have anywhere else to be except my parents’ home where’d I have to spend the night explaining why I wasn’t sleeping with my fiancé. This could give me a chance to corner Sin and smooth things over between us. Having my main suitor pissed at me would be disastrous. “Never mind.” I took Nik’s arm and let him lead me out to the party.

As we entered the room went silent. Nine sets of male eyes focused on us, or me. Sin sat at the head of a board room table with the wolf shifter alpha of Lake City. The others seemed like guards, including the two minotaurs accompanying Nik. Two seats at the table were empty.

I stopped in my tracks and was almost pulled off my feet as Nik continued to fill one seat, ignoring the looks. My cheeks burned. Gigi had told me it was a party, not a business meeting.
