“What you looking at?” I clawed at her stomach and she giggled.

“I wanted to ask you a question,” she replied shyly, almost like she was unsure of how I would react to whatever she was about to ask.

  “Aight, go ahead.”

“Umm… Draylah is my real mommy, right?”

  “Of course.”

“She umm… she said something was gonna happen and that you would be my daddy after it did. Is that true?”

“Hell yeah, it’s true.” I winked, and she smiled.

  “How long does that take?”

“It won’t take long at all, but that shit is just paper stuff. I can be ya dad before all that.”

  “Really?”

“Yeah, I mean, unless you don’t want me to, then—”

“No! I do!” She grabbed my hand with her two small ones, cheesing. So I brought her over to me for a hug. “I have to go home today.”

“Nah, you don’t. Let’s go clean up and we can go to Chuck E. Cheese to play some games.”

  “Chuck E. Cheese?”

“Yeah, ain’t you been?” I cocked my head as I looked down at her. I was baffled that she had never been to that fucking place. I thought all kids had gone at least once.

  “No, is it fun?”

“Hell yeah, it’s fun. You been to Disneyland?”

“They have a Disneyland? I thought it was just the movies?” She perked up with her eyes wide.

“Nah, baby, it’s more than just the movies.” I rubbed her hair back, feeling terrible as fuck. “Come on, we gon’ go to Chuck E. Cheese today and then Disneyland next week, aight?” I stood up, and she did as well.

  “Yeah, okay!”

I hadn’t planned on letting Lily go with Antonia’s ass today, but I for damn sure wasn’t about to let it happen now. Ain’t no telling what that bitch was doing if her kid had never even been to fucking Chuck E. Cheese and didn’t know Disneyland existed. I swear to God, all she’d better do was nod and say ‘okay’ when I tell her Lily ain’t coming with her ass, or we gon’ have some tall muthafuckin’ problems.

I turned the shower on for Lily in her bathroom, and then I left out to the bedroom I shared with Draylah so I could take a shower of my own.

When I got in the bedroom, I didn’t see Draylah, so I went out to each of my twins’ rooms, but I didn’t see her there either. Going back to my room to get my phone to call her, I heard light sniffles in the distance, and I realized they were coming from our bathroom.

“Draylah.” I opened the door and walked in to see her seated on the closed toilet top, sobbing.

“Oh, did you need the bathroom?”

Closing the door behind me, I inquired, “Why you crying, baby?”

“Be—because I—I can’t let her go. But I know we can’t keep her here!”

“Draylah.” I helped her stand up and then lifted her before placing her on the double sink. Wedging myself between her legs, I palmed the sides of her face and said, “Lily ain’t going home with that bitch, aight?”

“But how can we keep her? She can call the police.”

“She ain’t gon’ call no muthafuckin’ police. When she comes here for Lily, I’m gon’ talk to her ass and let her know what the fuck the deal is, and there ain’t gon’ be no problems.”

  “Are you sure?”

“When have I told you I was gon’ do some shit and didn’t do it?”

“Never.” She half smiled as she snaked her arms around me. “The lawyer we hired said he’s ready to have her served with the papers, so I guess this is perfect timing.”

“It is. Soon enough, it’s gon’ be the five of us living here permanently.”

“You went from being a bachelor to having two kids and now possibly three.” She grinned. “I wrecked your life a little bit, huh?”

“Nah, you did everything but. Shit is complete now. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love these hoes out here, but ain’t shit better than being laid up with you.”

  “You love these hoes, huh?”

“Not like that. I just like how they get down sometimes.” I laughed when she playfully punched my stomach. “But it’s quality over quantity, and you’re definitely top of the line, baby.” I grasped her ass in my hands and brought her to the edge of the sink so she could feel my dick. “And ya pussy got a nigga acting crazy out here.”

“Nigga, you were crazy as fuck way before you met me.” She giggled.

“Nah, I was a timid young man just trying to make it until you came at me with this good shit.”

She threw her head back in laughter before saying, “Yeah right!”

“Nah, but I got ya back, baby, and ain’t nobody about to take Lily. She’s ours.”

“Ours?” Her voice softened as she moved her arms from being around my torso to being around my neck.

“Yeah, ours. Fuck you mean? Every muthafuckin’ baby you have is mine. Fuck all that other shit.”

“I’m sorry about accusing you of sleeping with Dakota. It’s just when you didn’t want to have sex, I assumed it was because she was getting it already.”

“Now baby, you know if I was to fuck around on you, you’d get the best of my dick.”

“Why did that make me feel good even though it’s still a bad thing?” She blushed while laughing. “I hate you.” She chuckled and so did I.

“You don’t hate no fucking body.” I spoke lowly before kissing her lips, while groping her thighs and ass as she sat on the sink. “Take that shit back.” I pressed my dick against her pussy as I slowly sucked on her lips. She had on some little ass silk shorts that had a nigga on one. I loved when she wore them sexy ass legs out, showing off that garter tattoo on her thigh.

  “I love you, Frederick.”

“That’s right. Now if you mean that shit, you’ll give me some head in the shower right now.” I continued groping her sexy thighs.

“You’re so nasty.” She shoved me back lightly, before getting down off the sink and walking over to turn the shower on.

“Don’t wear shit like that around me unless you’re trying to get fucked. Simple.”

Once Draylah and I fucked and then cleaned up in the shower, we got out to get dressed since I’d let her ass know we were taking Lily and the twins to Chuck E. Cheese. I knew my younger babies couldn’t do shit, but just being there would be enough.

I didn’t need a bodyguard or anything like that because I figured I’d be aight since Chuck E. Cheese was mostly filled with kids and shit. I wasn’t too worried about being mobbed by fans and all that bullshit, so Clay wasn’t needed.

When we got to Chuck E. Cheese, we found a table for Draylah and the twins to be at since I knew her ass wasn’t gon’ wanna leave them. Lily and I then went to get a bunch of fucking tokens so we could turn this bitch out.

“Aight, so what you gotta do is clock these little niggas when their heads pop up so you can get a bunch of tickets.”

“Ricky, could you be any more hood with that explanation?” Draylah laughed. The table we’d chosen was right near all the games that Lily and I were gon’ fuck with.

“What are the tickets for?” Lily quizzed.

“The tickets are so you can get a prize at the end.”

“For real? I want a lot of tickets then!” Lily shouted excitedly as I put the tokens into the machine.

“I got you.” I kissed her forehead before watching her play.

We played a bunch of different shit and then we sat down to eat pizza. Since Lily wanted to do the basketball shit before we left, I took her over to shoot some baskets.

“Higher!” She squealed when I lifted her to shoot the ball.

“Aye, how you gon’ be yelling at me and I’m doing all the damn work?”

“Because I gots to win!” Lily shouted back as Draylah laughed hard as hell while filming us.

Finally, Lily was finished shooting her baskets, so we took all the tickets and shit up to the front so that she could redeem them. As we waited for the butterball
ass nigga to tally them up, my daughter started crying, so I took her from the stroller to calm her little ass down.

“Okay, little lady, you have three hundred tickets, so you can have anything from this row right here,” the man explained to Lily.

“But I want that one!” She pointed higher up.

“Oh, you need about one hundred more tickets for that one.” The man chuckled.

“Oh, okay,” Lily responded sadly as she looked over the toys from the section she was offered.

“Aye, bruh, let her have the one she wants,” I spoke up. “How much for it?”

“I can’t do that. She has to have the tickets—”

“You can do whatever the fuck I say you can do. How much for the fucking toy, and I ain’t gon’ ask yo’ sweaty ass again?”

“Oh Lord,” Draylah said as she took a calmer Camellia from me.

“Uh, well $20 should do the trick.”

“I got $10. Get the shit down.” I pointed to it before peeling a ten-dollar bill off the stack of cash I had.

The man took that muthafuckin’ $10 without another fucking word, and gave Lily the toy she wanted.

“Thank you, Daddy,” Lily replied as she surveyed the toy happily as fuck. When Draylah heard what she called me, she looked to me with a surprised expression.

“You’re welcome, beautiful,” I replied just as Lily slipped her hand into mine, before we all left out to the car.

“That was so cute seeing you two,” Draylah whispered on the way home. Lily, along with the twins, had already fallen asleep in the back seat.

“I’m a cute ass nigga. What can I say?”

“Shut up.” She chuckled. “You know what I mean. But it is sexy seeing you be such a good father.” She placed her hand on mine as it sat on the gearshift.

“Fuck, I’m getting some pussy tonight.” I turned into the driveway, as Draylah snickered.

When we turned into the driveway, I spotted Antonia’s vehicle sitting there. When my headlights beamed onto the back of her whip, she hopped her ass out like she was ready to square up or some shit.

“Stay right here,” I told Draylah, before throwing my shit into park and climbing out. Upon seeing me, Antonia halted her steps a little bit.

“Wh—where is my daughter? I was supposed to pick her up here at 2 p.m., and you guys have been gone all damn day! It is now 8 p.m.!”

“Lower ya fucking voice, aight?” I replied calmly, not wanting the attention of my neighbors, even though they were pretty far off.

  “I just—”

“Lower. Ya fucking. Voice,” I repeated myself, and paused for her to calm the fuck down before some more shit popped off. “Aight, now Lily is gon’ be staying here with us for a little longer.”

“Excuse me?” She jerked her neck back.

  “You heard me.”

“No, she needs to come home right now. Where is she?” Antonia began rocking from side to side, looking around me.

“Well she’s not, so go ahead and take yo’ ass home and we’ll let you know the next move.”

“You cannot do this! She is my child! I am going to call the police right now!” Antonia threatened, before pulling her phone from her back pocket.

“Go ahead and call them. When they get here, we can show them Lily’s original birth certificate that doesn’t bear ya fucking name, and then from there, you can explain to them how you obtained Lily since you don’t have any valid adoption paperwork.”

My words caused her to stop dialing immediately, and she slowly rose her head from her phone to look up at me.

  “Please don’t—”

“Get yo’ ass from out my muthafuckin’ driveway before I push ya shit back. Don’t call, and don’t bring ya ass around here until further notice. And if I catch you even five miles close to my shit, I’m gon’ light yo’ whack body ass up like a Christmas tree.”

“Mark my words, you cannot do this!” she cried out before rushing back to her car and hopped in. I watched as she rounded the fountain in the middle of my driveway, before pulling out onto the street.

I walked down to the gate guarding my driveway, and quickly changed the code. We’d only given it to her ass to make it more convenient for when she picked up Lily, but that shit was over with.

When I finished with the code, I went back to the car and opened the driver’s side to look at Draylah.

  “What did she say?”

Shrugging, I replied, “She said keep her as long as we want.”

“Ricky, I know she did not say that!” Draylah smiled a little. I knew the fact that Lily wasn’t going back with Antonia tonight brought her some joy. And for the rest of my life, I would always try to make sure I had her feeling like that, no matter who I had to fuck up or knock down.

“Yeah she did, baby. I asked her and she was like, ‘yeah, aight.’” I grinned as I opened the backdoor to start unbuckling my son from his car seat.

“Okay, Ricky.” Draylah got out to wake up Lily, as I got the stroller from the back seat. Lily was too tired, so Draylah put the twins in the stroller, and I carried Lily inside and up to her bedroom.

Once the kids were down, Draylah and I retired to our bedroom.

“I don’t know what you said to her, baby, but thank you,” Draylah spoke up as she removed her watch.

“Anything for you. You got Lily’s birth certificate?”

“Of course. It’s at my old house though.”

  “Get that shit.”

  She nodded.

  The next evening…

Today had been exhausting as hell so far. Frisk was in heavy promotion mode for his new song, and I had to trail him damn near everywhere. I didn’t have to drive, but just being a part of L.A. traffic was exhausting.

He had three interviews earlier today, and at the moment, he was rehearsing for a performance for an upcoming award show. I know I wasn’t the one doing the work, but having to be up, alert, and on the money for hours on end had me mentally tired. Now I knew how Dakota always felt having to assist Ricky. I couldn’t imagine doing this shit once Frisk became as big as him.

A couple hours later, Frisk was finally finished rehearsing and it was the end of his day. If I was this happy, I knew he was too. His manager and I followed him to his dressing room like we always did after he did some sort of work, just to make sure he didn’t need anything else. Truthfully, things were still awkward since he and I were ex-lovers now, but we didn’t talk about it at all. I treated him like any other boss, and he treated me like any other assistant.

“Okay, well I will give you a call tomorrow, Frisk,” his manager let him know before leaving the dressing room.

“Aight, thanks for everything,” he replied before pulling his shirt off to expose his chiseled brown chest.

“Today was crazy, right?” I spoke up, trying to remove the lustful thoughts that had plagued my mind.

“Yeah, it was nonstop. I can’t wait to just sit the fuck down and eat some food. I’m starving and tired as fuck.” He wiped his body off then pulled a new shirt on.

“Yep.” It was quiet for a few moments so I added, “So if you don’t need anything else, I’m gonna go ahead and head home. I don’t want to be too tired for tomorrow.”

“I only have a radio interview.”

“Yeah, I know, but my other clients are going on a talk show tomorrow, so I have to be nearby for that one unfortunately.”

“Oh, right. Sometimes I forget I’m not ya only one.”

“Well it won’t be that way for much longer. Soon, my contract with them will be up and I will be all yours.”

“Will you?” He stared into my eyes, giving me sensual chills.

  “Yes, Jason.”

“I’m just making sure. It seems like you got a problem with being just with me; personally and businesswise.”

“That is not true. I don’t want to be working for them, and when I was with you, it was only you. That lunch with Trey was nothing more than us
meeting up about our relationship with Vigo,” I explained.

  “Aight.”

Nothing was said for like the next twenty seconds or so.

“Alright, well goodnight, and great job today.”

“Thanks.” I walked to the door but paused when he called after me. “You wanna go get some food or something?”

“You sure you wanna eat with me? Just a minute ago, you were making it seem like I was a traitor or something.”

Chuckling and showing off his sexy smile, he shook his head and replied, “Nah, not even. I was just fucking with you. So you coming or nah?”

  “Only ‘cause I’m hungry.”

  “Right.”

After Frisk packed up all of his things, we left out to the truck his driver was waiting in. On the way to wherever Frisk told his driver we wanted to go, I could feel him looking at the side of my face. I tried to pretend like I didn’t see him, but the smile tugging at the corner of my lips gave it away.

“I ain’t gon’ lie; I kind of miss you and shit,” he said lowly.

“How, when I see you all the time?” I finally turned to him to make eye contact.

“Yeah, but being your boss and being around you on my off time, are two different things, V. You know that.”

“Yeah. I guess I just didn’t think you’d miss me after that whole fiasco with Trey at Starbucks.”

“Shit, I didn’t think I’d miss yo’ ass either.”

  “Guess we were both wrong.”

  “Guess so.”

The rest of the ride to Roscoe’s was kind of quiet as we just listened to the music playing from the radio, while looking out of the window. Roscoe’s wasn’t too crowded at all, so we were able to go in, eat, and leave in under an hour and a half.

During our impromptu dinner though, Frisk and I had a cool little talk, getting to know one another a little better. I didn’t realize how much of his background I didn’t know, and vice versa, but I guess that was because we just jumped right into things headfirst. However, I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the man beyond the surface.

By the time we got back to the car, I was so tired from stuffing myself with the chicken and waffles, that I wanted to pass out right there in the car.
