Ally became silent. She didn't know if she could make that promise. If things with Caleb were to go sour, she would have to go somewhere far away. Ally sighed in disgust. She had let Caleb get to her. When did this happen?
Ally arrived home late and she struggled to keep her eyes open. She and Kat had really worked hard and Ally felt relieved no one recognized her. It also helped that everyone had loved the food and Kat had snagged at least four jobs from this party. Ally stayed up later to prepare the cannolis they would provide as a sample for the Chamber of Commerce.
Caleb brushed down Thor even though he was exhausted. The rangers were actively on the lookout for his cattle. There was a lead on stolen cattle in Oklahoma they were pursuing for him. Also, it didn't help that he had stayed up with Jeb to help give birth to two healthy calves. He showered, ate some dinner and then sat down in front of his computer checking out additional information on cattle auctions when he suddenly remembered he had Ally's bikini top. He smiled and fished it out of the pocket of his pants. It still had Ally's scent on it. Caleb sighed with frustration. How could he convince Ally he really cared about her?
Caleb overslept and damned the world. If he didn't hurry, he'd be late for the meeting. He and Jeb went over a list of things that Jeb would take care of and then he hopped into his truck to the restaurant. He spotted Kat, but didn't see Ally. He noticed Kat talking to a rather tall woman with her back to Caleb. She wore a royal blue two piece business suit, a white v-neck blouse with the skirt three inches from her knees, topped off with a pair of black high heels. She wore her straight, blond hair tied back in a bun at the nape of her neck. When the woman turned sideways, on the light caught her square black glasses. Had Kat hired a lawyer? What happened to Ally? Disappointed, Caleb called the meeting to order. As everyone took their seats around the table, he still looked for Ally. He then noticed the woman sitting next to Kat. Caleb momentarily lost his concentration as he stared at Ally and she stared right back at him with a slight smile on her face. Caleb recovered quickly and introduced the next speaker. Ally had done a terrific job of camouflaging herself and Caleb literally couldn't speak. He longed to take off those glasses and undo her hair until it fell down the sides of her face. He wanted to undress her, the jacket first and then the silk shirt. My Lord, she had him turned on. He took deep breaths to slow his heart rate. Gaining control, he smiled lazily at Ally; picked up his BlackBerry and typed a message before standing up to resume control of the meeting.
"New business," said Caleb as he addressed the group. "We have a new member on board. Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to introduce Ally Kat's Catering Service.”
"Hello." Kat rose out of her chair slowly, trying to hide her trembling hands.
"You're doing fine," whispered Ally.
"My name is Kat Stetler and this is my sister, Ally." Ally nodded her head. "We're new in town and the proud owners of Ally Kat's Catering. We do breakfasts, lunches, dinners, parties, reunions and also graduations. If you're interested, feel free to pick up our brochures on the table over there."
Ally's phone went off telling her of an incoming message. She turned in her seat and picked up the phone to read the message.
Great disguise, but don't ever wear that suit in public without telling me first.
Ally glanced up at Caleb and raised her right eyebrow in question. He acknowledged her and smiled.
Y? Ally typed back.
I want to peel it off u 1 layer at a time.
"Isn't that right, Ally?" asked Kat as she turned to Ally.
"I'm sorry. I didn't hear the question." Ally's face turned red.
"We keep adding to our menus, hoping to gain more business?"
"Uh, yes, we are trying Southern cooking as well as some things from all over the country." She glared at Caleb, who smiled broadly.
"We want to thank the owners of this restaurant for letting us bring our home made Italian cannolis. These are Ally's specialty from New York."
Ally's phone beeped again and she ignored it. Kat looked at her strangely and Ally tried to right the situation. "I also make any style cheesecake," Ally added as she looked around the room.
"Aren't you Ally Duncan, the model? I thought you looked familiar." A man at the following table stared at her intently.
"I'm Kat's business partner," she replied smoothly.
"I could've sworn you were her." He still wasn't convinced.
"Please help yourselves to the dessert on the table," suggested Kat, while Ally looked at the message on her phone.
U look edible miss ally forget the dessert.
Ally glance up at Caleb again, but he had already moved on to the next portion of the meeting. Glaring, she typed one more message;
U r bad.
She put the phone back in her purse and concentrated on her lunch as she successfully pushed it all around her plate. She wasn't hungry, but Caleb had stirred something inside of her. Normally, she would be insulted at the messages, but it had just the opposite effect since it came from Caleb. Her phone beeped again.
"Ally, who keeps calling you?" asked Kat as she looked down at Ally's purse.
"It’s texting," explained Ally. "No big deal." She gave a sigh of relief when the meeting was over. Someone engaged Kat in conversation and Ally checked her phone again.
U said u liked bad boys.
Ally glanced up at Caleb again, who smiled at her wickedly. She tried to give him a dirty look, but it failed.
"Can I have your autograph?" The man did not give up.
"I'd rather you take our business card and a brochure." Ally handed him the package and quickly stood up. "Kat, I'm out of here. Call me later, okay?"
"Where are you going? I thought we were going to my house to go over our shopping list." Kat looked at Ally closely and then at Ally's plate. "Don't you feel good?"
"No, I don't, I need to go home right now. I'll call you later." Ally fled out the door and reached her car within minutes. She opened the door and jumped in the driver seat to turn on the engine. She pealed out of the lot and breathed heavily as she negotiated her drive home. That damn Caleb had gotten her so turned on, she couldn't think straight. As she pulled into the driveway and saw him standing by his truck waiting for her, she lost sight of any responsibility.
Caleb didn't say a word as he watched Ally get out of the car with her keys in hand. Their eyes locked as if in a trance, and he reached for the keys. Walking silently together, Caleb opened the front door and let Ally in. They were greeted by Tank, but Caleb let him out the back while Ally put her purse on the counter.
"Come here," said Caleb thickly. Ally obeyed him and stood face to face to him. Her heart raced with desire. Caleb slowly took off her glasses as Ally watched fascinated. Still not saying anything, Caleb reached for the back of her hair and undid the bun. Ally's hair sprang down, the curls falling around her face. "That's better," whispered Caleb as he lowered his face to catch her lips. Ally met his lips and kissed him back. Caleb pulled away and raised Ally's chin to meet his gaze. "I meant every word I said. I don't want to hear any 'stop' or 'we shouldn't' because I know better."
"Caleb?" whispered Ally. "I'm scared." Her eyes glistened with unshed tears.
"Don't. I'm not going to hurt you," said Caleb tenderly. He led her to the bedroom and shut the door.
Ally stood still, her eyes searching his for a sign and smiled as Caleb came towards her. Taking her in his arms, he hungrily kissed her lips, parting them boldly with his tongue. Somehow, his shirt had become unbuttoned and Ally found her hands on his chest exploring the rigid muscles of his abdomen, curling his fine chest hair in her fingers.
"I've had this scenario worked out in my mind ever since the day I first laid eyes on you," murmured Caleb as his hands slipped down and cupped Ally's buttocks. Kneading them, he brought their bodies closer together so Ally could feel his hardness.
"You did?" breathed Ally as she broke their kiss to look into his eyes.
"When you looked at this house,
I saw you. I knew."
"You knew what?" Ally breathed deeply with desire as Caleb slowly took her blazer off of her shoulders and flung it onto a chair. Then, he worked on removing her blouse, his hands warm against her skin.
"I wanted you." His lips stopped any more conversation as they once again boldly claimed Ally's. Her blouse slipped down and Caleb tugged at the snaps of her bra. As it finally came off, Caleb's lips left Ally's and travelled down her neck until they reached her nipple which begged to be tasted.
"Should we go to the bed?" Ally could barely stand. She wanted Caleb inside her in the worst way.
"Oh no, Ally. I'm not done yet." His hand had found her other breast and he stroked it gently, bringing the nipple to a peak.
"Caleb," pleaded Ally.
"I'm in no hurry." His hands unfastened the zipper of her skirt and it easily slid to the ground.
"That's cold!" exclaimed Ally as her stomach came into contact with Caleb's belt buckle.
"Take it off." Caleb toyed with the top of her panties, his hands slid under the elastic and he cupped her buttocks, removing the panties. Ally had finished with the belt and stiffened with delight as Caleb discovered her center, wet with desire. She started to kick her shoes, off but Caleb had other ideas. "No, leave them on." He kissed her mouth again. Then his lips went to her breasts and her navel. Ally arched her back with desire and when he went between her legs, his tongue probing, she nearly collapsed on the floor.
"Caleb," cried Ally. "You're torturing me."
"Am I?" he teased as he stood up and kissed her on the lips, the smell of her sex on his tongue. Caleb stopped long enough to peel off his shirt and pants, his huge erection sprung forward.
"Lord." Ally's eyes were in awe at the size of his erection. She gently wrapped her hand around the throbbing member and kissed Caleb fully on the lips
Caleb couldn't wait any longer. He picked up Ally easily and placed her on the bed, parting her thighs with his hands. She wrapped her legs around his torso, the heels of her shoes digging into Caleb's back, but he didn't seem to notice. Their eyes met, urging each other on. Ally raised her head to kiss Caleb. He entered her slowly, giving her body time to adjust to his length when she came.
"I couldn't wait anymore," panted Ally. "You drove me crazy."
"This is what I wanted to do." Caleb could barely concentrate since the warm moist walls of Ally's sex grabbed his cock relentlessly. Slowly, he started moving again, keeping his rhythm slow and hard. Their bodies were slick with sweat, their lips joined as their tongues kept pace.
"Ally," cried Caleb as he came. The pleasure overwhelmed him and his heart pounded. He dropped his body on top of hers and tried to catch his breath.
"Caleb," moaned Ally as she came again, her body lost in the sensation of what had just happened.
"You just gave me a heart attack." Caleb propped himself on his elbow and gazed tenderly at Ally, pushing away the hair from her face.
"Well, I'm not too far behind." She met his gaze. "What did you mean when you said you had this scenario played out?"
"This is better than the scenario. Ally, you're sensational."
"Caleb?" whispered Ally. "You are, too." Their lips met and the phone in Caleb's pants on the floor went off.
"Great." exclaimed Caleb as he got up and retrieved the phone. "I thought I had turned the darn thing off." He looked at the display and frowned. "Jeb's looking for me. Something must have happened." He looked up at Ally with a sad expression. "Honey, I'm sorry. I've got to go."
"No problem, Caleb. I understand. Besides, Kat is probably wondering what's wrong with me the way I took off out of there." Ally smiled at the thought, but her eyes were riveted to Caleb's body as he got dressed.
"I'll call you tonight." Caleb hurried out of the bedroom and Ally sunk back in bed, totally overwhelmed with what had happened.
"Ohmigod, what have I done?" Ally put her head under the pillow to block out the world. "I went to bed with my neighbor. How can I face him?” Ally wanted to talk to someone, but who would she call? She couldn't tell Kat. Kat? Ally jumped out of bed and put on some sweats. Running out of the bedroom, she realized she had left her purse and phone in the car. Darn. She looked up to see Kat pulling into her driveway. Darn. Ally tried to look composed as she stood at the front door. She then thought better of it and walked to her car to get her purse just as Kat got out of the car.
"Ally, are you okay? I've been calling you endlessly. You left in such a rush, what happened?" She studied Ally intently. "Don't you feel good? You look all flushed."
"No, I didn't feel good but I'm okay now, I think." No, Kat. I just had the best damn sex in my life with Caleb, my neighbor. That would go over big. "Maybe I ate something that didn't agree with me."
"You didn't eat anything. I saw your plate."
"I ate something," insisted Ally.
"Something isn't right."
"Honest, Kat, I'm fine. Do you have your shopping list? Let me change clothes and we'll go." Kat started to follow Ally into her bedroom and it dawned on Ally about the state of her bedroom; her suit strewn all across the room, the messed up bed. She couldn't let Kat see it. She turned to Kat and closed the bedroom door. "You know what, Kat? I let Tank out when I got home and he's still out there. Can you bring him inside while I get dressed?"
"Sure." Kat left, while Ally quickly straightened up the room and threw on a pair of jeans and a top. She picked out a cap and fixed her hair. That's when she noticed the unopened condom on the floor where Caleb had taken off his pants. Ally paled. They hadn't used any protection and she no longer took the pill.
Kat drove to the store while Ally checked her messages. There were six from Kat, but none from Caleb.
"You left too soon. I think we made an impression on them. They really liked your cannolis." Kat appeared to be in a good mood, Ally's mysterious illness no longer the point of conversation.
"You made a good impression, Kat. I'm really proud of the way you handled yourself."
"Thanks, little sister." Kat beamed with pride. They went shopping with their list of the four parties they would host the following week. When they rolled into Ally's house around five thirty, Ally's stomach rumbled.
"Do you want to go out for dinner? I guess all of this food has made me hungry," commented Ally.
"Not really. I have to get home and check my messages. Which reminds me, Ally? I have a question about your cell phone. How do you have it set up? I need to do that to mine."
"You can’t with the one you have. You need to get either an iPhone or a BlackBerry."
"Next dinner," laughed Kat. "I can't afford one right now."
Kat left and the house became empty, which bothered Ally. Now she had time to think about what happened this afternoon. She opened the cabinet to see what she should make for dinner, but she couldn't concentrate "Let's analyze the situation," she said to Tank who looked at her expectantly. "I mean, he doesn't love me. He's only known me a short time." Ally took out Tank's dog food and poured it into one of her cereal bowls without thinking. "It can't be any kind of a relationship since we really haven't dated." Ally continued as she pulled out some crumbled ground beef which Tank liked to have on his dog food. "You know what it is?" Tank salivated; his head cocked looking at Ally. "It's the 'I want to have sex with Ally Duncan' thing. Yup, that's what it is. Now, he can brag to all of his friends that he had sex with Ally Duncan." She smiled as she relived the event. It had been the most incredible, mind blowing sex she had ever had." Satisfied with her analysis, she set the bowl down for Tank. He looked up at her confused, then to the dish and then back at Ally. Ally never let him eat off a plate. Ally realized what she had done. "I'm so sorry, Tank. That man has me totally rattled." Sighing, she pulled out his regular dog dish and spooned the contents from the cereal bowl into his. She rinsed it out and put it in the dishwasher when the phone rang.
"Hey, honey." Caleb's voice sounded intimate, giving Ally goose bumps. "How are you doing? I don't want to h
ear, 'Caleb, we shouldn't have done that'."
"So, when the baby comes around nine months later, what should I say?"
"Damn, we didn't use protection. You had me so turned on. You're on the pill, right?"
"Not any longer. I stopped when I moved down here."
"Don't worry, nothing will happen." Caleb smiled. "We'd have great looking children, don't you think?"
"I'm not ready to have children. I mean, I want them, but I'd have to find a man I really love and he loves me, too." Now why did she say that to Caleb? There went her mouth again, obviously not connected to her brain.
"Then, you're playing with fire," commented Caleb.
"What do you mean?" asked Ally confused.
"You're in trouble with me as it is.”
"Caleb, you're making no sense." Ally shook her head. "Listen, I've got to go. If I don't get something to eat, I'm going to pass out."
