I’d also like to acknowledge the liberties I have taken in this work of fiction to respectfully represent actual persons including Avril Lavigne, Patricia Wilson, Sook-Yin Lee, Will Munro and Xavier Dolan.

Lastly, I’d like to express my heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at Guernica Editions for their support and inspiration, and for their hope that the books they publish will make this world a better place in which to live and love.
