Burn Notice: A Key West Thriller (Kelly Maclean Book 2) Page 20

by Nate Hawk

Since Kelly and Owen had to acquire a boat to inspect the sensors, they decided to put it use towards other tasks that could bring in income. They had both become certified divers. They had acquired what the US Coast Guard referred to as a “6 Pack Captain’s License” which would allow them to take up to six paid clients out on the water for various commercial activities. The two men put together a business plan that included diving, snorkeling and deep sea fishing that was geared towards high end clients. The business started off slow but with the homeland security contract the men could remain patient without the worry of financial hardship. All and all the dual responsibilities seemed to complement their desired goals well.

Kelly had a feeling of having everything falling in place when his phone rang. He looked down to see who was on the other end and realized that it was Basciano. Kelly knew that Basciano was a dangerous loose end that he would likely have to deal with sooner or later.

“Kelly! It’s Luigi Basciano. I’ve got a fug’n favor to ask of you, sonny.”
