They had to ride another ulla back to the capital city, where they left Millika. She claimed to have business at the KIS headquarters, and her decision went unquestioned. From there on comfortable, air-conditioned trains would take them north to the Keep.
Alana, Trell, and Ted seemed to be the only people on the train as it cruised through two huge white gates that looked like they’d been made from some kind of stone.
