by Lynnette Bernard

Cammy smiled shyly, reaching up and touching both men’s faces before she lost the nerve. “I do feel safe,” she admitted. “You’ve been so wonderful.”

She leaned forward and kissed each man’s cheek quickly. It seemed that Cammy couldn’t help but steal kisses from them. She found herself doing it often and could tell that both Garrett and Ryker enjoyed each touch that she gave them or each kiss that she took.

“Thank you,” she said softly to the men, blushing lightly at the immediate smiles that crossed their lips. She loved seeing them happy. Stepping back, she looked at Meeka and nodded. “I think it will be very nice staying with all of you.”

“Good,” Meeka said quietly, turning to smile up at Reece and Wade. “I love you both.” Her whispered voice was soft with love for her men. “I have definite plans on showing you how much I appreciate you.” She tried not to giggle as both of her men growled and hugged her tightly.

“I’m glad I remembered the name of the restaurant where Kaley was working,” Abbey spoke up. “Your men were going crazy trying to find you, Meeka.”

“It worked out,” Reece said softly as he held their woman tenderly between them. “Our little rabbit may have run, but our wolves found her and brought her home.”

His voice was teasing, but Meeka knew the anguish that both he and Wade had suffered because she had left them. It caused her a great deal of pain to know that her mates hurt because of her actions.

I’m sorry, she whispered in their minds through their link.

We were responsible for you leaving, little one, Reece told her gently.

You’re home now. That’s all that matters, Wade said warmly.

“You call Meeka your little rabbit?” Abbey asked, reaching out and searching for her mates’ hands. Hunter and Clay were beside her immediately, taking her within their arms and supporting her as she lost her balance.

“What’s wrong, Abbey?” Hunter asked, holding her between him and Clay.

“Abbey, honey,” Clay whispered, panic lacing through him.

“I’m okay. Just surprised,” Abbey said, smiling up at both of her men.

“About what, sweetheart?” Hunter asked her.

“I need to go and get something,” Abbey said, pushing away from her men and heading toward the kitchen to the back deck.

“Honey, tell me what you need. I’ll go and get it,” Clay said, reaching out and pulling Abbey back into his arms. “You shouldn’t be walking out in the snow. You might slip and fall.”

“And it’s too cold for you and our baby,” Hunter added.

“I need you to get the wooden box from the top of my bureau,” Abbey told them, excitement filling her voice.

“Okay, honey. I’ll be right back,” Clay told her. “You stay here and keep warm.” He kissed her lips lightly, rubbing his hand across her belly and sending love to their baby, and growling softly as he felt their cub moving within their mate.

Abbey smiled and pressed his hand against their baby, loving that their child kicked strongly against him. “Hurry back, Clay,” she whispered.

  “I will.”

Abbey smiled as she turned to face the rest of their family and saw that they were all watching her in silence. She knew they had no idea what was so important in that wooden box that she needed right then, but they would soon.

“Remember when I told you that my grandmother gave my father a wooden box to give to me that was filled with charms that she had made when she had been friends with Martha’s mother?” she asked them, her blue eyes sparkling with excitement.

“Yes,” Laurie answered for all of them.

“Well, what Reece just said about Meeka being their little rabbit who ran from their wolves made me realize that one of the charms in the box is meant for her,” Abbey explained.

“For me?” Meeka asked, surprised. “Why would you have something for me?”

“The box contains a lot of things that Martha’s mother Deana said my grandmother needed to make,” Abbey explained. “Remember, I told all of you that Mother Fate visited my grandmother often and guided her into making many charms. Laurie already has her charm. Martha was given it by her mother to give to Jace and Jackson when they had found their mate.”

Laurie looked at the charm that hung from the bracelet that she only removed when she showered or slept and smiled softly. Jace and Jackson wrapped their arms around her and kissed her cheeks tenderly. She looked up at them, leaning into their warmth and sighing with pleasure at their touches.

“Grandma Marie told my father that the charms in the box were made for some very special women,” Abbey continued. “She said that the woman that each charm belonged to would be revealed to me when the time was right.”

“And you think that one of the charms belongs to me?” Meeka asked, amazed.

“I do,” Abbey said quickly. “It’s been a long time since I’ve looked at the different pieces. I probably should have looked at them again. I really don’t know why I didn’t. I remember looking through the charms when my dad first gave me the box. None of them really had any meaning to me back then, but now that Reece just said what he said, I remembered one of the charms.”

“Something I said?” Reece asked. “What did I say?”

“You said that your little rabbit ran but your wolves brought her home,” Abbey said, smiling.

“And that reminded you of one of the charms?” Laurie asked, confused.

Clay came back into the lodge at that moment, brushing off the snow that coated the shoulders of his winter jacket. He walked over to Abbey and handed her the small wooden box, kissing her lips lightly as she looked up at him and gave him one of her killer smiles.

“Thank you, Clay,” she whispered, leaning into his neck and kissing it lightly. “You spoil me.”

“Anything for you, honey,” he whispered as he eased back and shrugged off his coat to drape it across one of the empty chairs along the far wall of the living room.

Abbey looked down at the small box, a myriad of emotions rushing through her as she remembered the day her father had handed it to her. She must have been projecting her feelings to her mates because she found herself being gently pulled toward the couch and nestled between her men as they sat next to her and pressed their bodies against her.

“Are you okay, sweetheart?” Hunter asked her quietly as he leaned in and kissed her temple lightly.

Abbey nodded and looked down at the small box in her hands. Opening it slowly, she allowed Hunter to hold it in place while she picked up one of the miniature plastic bags that contained one of the charms. Looking at it, she smiled as she realized what she was looking at.

“I think this charm belongs to you, Nikki,” she said, lifting the tiny bag and offering it to Nikki’s mate Alex.

Alex looked down at the small charm that looked dwarfed in his large hand and smiled. Turning, he showed the charm to Butler and laughed softly.

“I think you’re right, Abbey,” Alex said as he turned to the comfortable recliner where their mate sat.

“This definitely is meant for you, sweetness,” Butler said, leaning down to take a quick kiss from their mate before Alex placed the beautiful charm in her open hand.

Nikki looked down at the gold charm and gasped. She saw the two wolves sitting on either side of a woman with short hair that brushed her shoulders. What was absolutely astounding was the fact that the woman was holding two babies on her lap and the two babies were reaching to touch the wolves on the top of their heads.

“Look at our twins,” Nikki whispered, touching the charm reverently and passing the tip of her index finger over the shapes of the babies and their wolf daddies. “Alex. Butler.” Nikki could barely get out her mates’ names. She was filled with happiness and had to concentrate on not crying. “Damn hormones!”

Both men chuckled as they leaned forward and kissed their woman’s lips lightly. They gathered her within their arms and held her gently, the beauty of the charm that Abbey’s grandmother
had made for them filling all of them with happiness. They knew from the visions that they had shared with their woman that each of Nikki’s pregnancies would result in the birth of twins. It was something that had overwhelmed Nikki at first, but they had all come to accept the wonderful miracle of it.

“I think this charm belongs to you, Suzie,” Abbey said, smiling as she reached out to offer the tiny plastic bag that held another charm made by her grandmother.

Suzie clapped her hands excitedly. “Yay!” she called out happily, making everyone in the room laugh.

Drew walked over to Abbey and accepted the charm, looking down at it and smiling as he walked back to Suzie and Carter where they were sitting on one of the comfortable couches. He knelt down before Suzie and handed her the delicate creation, waiting as Suzie looked down at it then turned to Carter to show him the beautiful gold charm. It was of three wolves lying down with two wolves resting their heads on their paws while the third wolf rested her head on top of their heads. It was adorable.

“These three wolves could be any triad,” Suzie said softly as she ran her fingers over the intricate details of the design. “Why do you think this belongs to me, Abbey?”

“Turn it over,” Abbey told her.

Suzie turned it over and gasped. There on the back were words delicately engraved that proved without a doubt that the charm was destined to be hers. My Drew, Suzie Q, and My Carter graced the back of the charm.

“I really need to go through this box and check out all the charms now that I know all of you,” Abbey said, more to herself than to the rest of them. “I’m sorry for not realizing that all of you had gifts waiting for you.”

She looked through the many charms still inside the box, searching for the charm that had stuck in her memory. There were so many charms, she wondered how her grandmother had ever found the time to create so many beautiful pieces of unique jewelry that would be special to the blessed triads that already were a part of Beckett’s pack as well as the triads that were still destined to find each other.

“Here it is!” she said excitedly, pulling out the small plastic bag that held the specific charm that had stuck in her mind. Looking at the charm, she couldn’t help but smile as she realized that it was absolutely perfect for Reece, Meeka, and Wade. She extended her hand and offered it to the three of them.

Wade reached for it, looking down at it as he turned to face Meeka and Reece, smiling widely as he realized why Abbey was so certain that the charm was destined to be Meeka’s. He handed it to her and watched as she looked down at the design. Reece looked over her shoulder to view the charm, looking up at Wade and laughing softly.

“That’s your charm, little one,” Reece said with certainty.

  “Without a doubt,” Wade added.

Meeka looked at the charm and shook her head as she laughed. “I guess so,” she said finally.

The charm was of two wolves lying close to each other, their bodies flush against the small rabbit that was nestled between them.

  Chapter 33

Meeka settled beneath the heavy, navy comforter in their triad bed. As exhausted as she was, she was excited to be home with her mates. The long drive back to the ranch had been a tiring one, but it had also been fun. Reece and Wade had kept them entertained with stories of their childhood before they had joined Alpha Randall’s pack. It made Meeka sad to know that they only had a short time of happiness before Randall’s cruelty had changed their lives and their futures.

Eric had loved every minute of the trip. He loved his fathers so deeply, Meeka knew that Reece and Wade were going to be the recipients of his idol worship for the rest of their lives.

Reece came into the room, smiling at her as he stepped toward the bed wearing just his black sleep pants. Both he and Wade were going to be careful to be somewhat dressed at all times now that they had a houseful of people. She giggled softly as he pulled back the comforter and climbed into bed beside her, drawing her into his arms and settling her snugly beneath his chin.

  “Happy, little one?” he whispered.

  “Very.”

  “Good.”

He kissed the top of her head and breathed in deeply. Meeka couldn’t help but smile as a soft rumbling purr escaped him. She knew exactly how he felt. She felt the same way.

“You calm my wolf, Meeka,” he said quietly.

Meeka smiled as she looked up at him, her brown eyes twinkling with excitement. “Maybe I don’t want your wolf calm,” she said softly.

  “What?”

Turning, she carefully climbed up his body and straddled his waist, lying forward and biting his chest lightly. “I don’t want you or your wolf to be calm right now,” she whispered against his neck, kissing it lightly and traveling up the column of his throat, laving his warm skin before landing on his mouth and sucking his bottom lip into her mouth to bite down on it firmly.

Reece’s instant growls made her laugh against his mouth. Sucking his lip into her mouth, she ran her tongue along his lower lip to soothe the sting of her bite. When he opened his mouth and met her tongue with his, she couldn’t prevent the whimper of need that left her.

Love you so much, Reece, she whispered in his mind.

His arms were like steel bands around her body, hugging her to him tightly as he sent her a wave of warmth and love. Meeka eased back, smiling as Reece released his tight hold on her without hesitation. No matter how much he and Wade worried that they had no control over their wolves or their emotions, she knew that they were wrong. They always gave her every bit of care and space that she needed. They never pushed her. They always offered her their love with open arms, which made her grab onto them even tighter.

Leaning back, she sat up and pulled Reece’s heavy maroon sweatshirt that she had stolen to wear for the night over her head to drop it soundlessly to the floor beside the bed. Taking Reece’s hands in hers, she guided them up her body until he was covering her breasts. When he squeezed carefully, she moaned softly, squirming lightly when he teased her nipples with the pads of his thumbs.

“Are your breasts too sensitive, Meeka?” he whispered, making his touch as light as possible.

“They are, but don’t stop. It feels so good.”

Reece leaned forward and licked at the fullness of the underside of her breast. Meeka slid her fingers through his hair, gripping it tightly and pressing him more firmly against her. He took full advantage. Opening his mouth, he surrounded her nipple and sucked on it firmly, drawing as much of her breast into his mouth as he could. Suckling deeply, he groaned at the thought of drinking the milk that Meeka would soon be producing for their daughter.

  “Yes,” Meeka whispered.

“Yes, what?” Reece asked as he pulled off of her breast and kissed its fullness once again.

“Yes, I want you to drink from me.”

Reece reached up and framed her face between his large hands, drawing her closer so he could devour her mouth. The growls that left him made Meeka’s need for him ramp up to epic proportions. She gripped his shoulders and held him tightly as he laid claim to her. She met each kiss, each caress, and each nip of his teeth with one of her own. Her body felt as if it was on fire. She needed him as much as he needed her, and she wasn’t going to be shy about showing him exactly what she was feeling or needing.

Reaching down between them, she stroked the length of him through his sleep pants, loving the feel of his hardness. She traced his impressive length to rub her thumb around the spongy head, squeezing it lightly and smiling against his mouth as a moan escaped him.

  “Reece,” she whispered.

  “What, Mate?”

“I need you inside of me.”

He kissed her gently. She could feel his smile against her lips, and she couldn’t help but smile back.

“Are you laughing at me?” she asked as she leaned back and looked at the sparkle in his blue eyes.

“No, little one,” he said quietly, his eyes changing golden in that moment. “I’m enjoying you.”
He leaned forward and nipped at her lower lip, laughing softly when she chased his mouth for more.

“I’m glad,” she told him, reaching down and pulling his cock free from his pajama pants, pulling up on his shaft and squeezing the head to gather the small drop of liquid that beaded there. Bringing her hand to her mouth, she licked up the delicious essence and hummed in appreciation as the flavor that was uniquely Reece burst across her taste buds.

Reece’s rumbling growls made her smile. He pushed down his pajama pants and kicked them free. Meeka was only too happy to have him completely naked beneath her. Reaching for his shaft once again, she took firm hold, spread her legs wider as she straddled his hips, and placed the head of his cock at her dripping entrance. She wasn’t embarrassed that her body was already primed for him. She was glad that she was ready to take him deep within her. She couldn’t wait anymore. She didn’t want to wait anymore.

As the head slipped inside of her with no problem, she pressed down slowly and sighed as the full length of him was buried deep. She sighed in contentment, loving the feel of him stretching her and filling her completely.

“That’s better,” she whispered, laughing softly at the sexy smile he gave her. “What do you think, Reece? Is that better?”

Reece gripped her hips and held her still as he pressed up inside of her, growling as pleasure shot through his body. Loving Meeka was a beautiful thing. The physical reward of his body joining with hers was just a part of it. A terrific part of it.

Meeka laughed softly. “I agree,” she whispered, leaning forward and kissing his lips lightly, gasping as he eased out of her and pressed up into her once again.

She moved her hips, rocking against his pelvis and taking him deeper with each movement. She stared directly into his eyes, loving that he looked back at her with such intensity, she felt him looking deep into her soul. She could see the love he had for her. She felt the connection that their bond gave them. It was something she was thankful for. She would always know just how much her mates cared about her, and they would always know exactly how much she cared about them.
