A Shifter's Second Chance Page 19

by Marie Johnston

  “Any clue why?”

Armana shrugged. “I guess Waylon says he’s ‘fine,’ so maybe if we can keep him busy, it’ll either work itself out or”—she smirked—“we’ll get to the bottom of it.”

Expand the business before it even started? Why not? The summer had revealed some weaknesses in the shifter world, which Gray was now a part of.

He was cautiously optimistic about his disease. His voices and paranoia were more subdued than they’d been in…decades. And he’d talked to Jace. The male was ready with his special ability in case his disease resurged.

Gray and Cassie talked like they never had before. It was the relationship he’d always dreamed about with his daughter.

He clasped Armana’s hand. “When do we approach Waylon and offer him a job?”

Her eyes twinkled as she squeezed his hand in return and outlined her plan.

The voice in his head picked that moment to whisper something new.

  She loves you.

  Yes. He believed it.

And Maggie’s story where her destiny caught them all by surprise is the first in this series. Take a look!

Thank you for reading. I’d love to know what you thought. Please consider leaving a review at the retailor the book was purchased from.
