“What is going on inside of the sun core? Huh? This Luminant Sun Gold!”

Zhong Yue opened his divine third eye and stared on a piece of Luminant Sun Gold. His face turned solemn and his eyes were filled in shock.

On that huge piece of Luminant Sun Gold, there was a huge claw mark on it. It looked as though there was a creature that struck it with its claw and hurled it out of the sun core!

Chapter 543: Shine Upon Everything |

“There is something in there that keeps on digging at the sun core, that’s what causes the sun storm and that’s why the great Sun True Spirits had to leave the sun. Could it be…”

Zhong Yue’s heart was thumping heavily, nothing could survive in the sun core other than the sun spirits. Could it be that there was a sun spirit that awakened its own intelligence and consciousness, and began the process of turning into an innate god?

He closed his eyes and calmed himself, and suddenly opened them again to reveal a bright pair of focused eyes concentrated into the center of the sun. But not even the Fuxi divine eyes could see through the huge fireball.

“Or it might be some imperial tomb that has been touched." Xin Huo mumbled, “There’s really no limit to the sense of shame of the Heavenly Monarchs. One of them might have arranged to have his imperial tomb built in the sun. If the imperial tomb was opened and some undying ancient figure that was released from the tomb, that can also stir such a huge problem within the sun core.”

“Imperial tomb … in the sun?" Zhong Yue exclaimed loud in shock.

“Not sure about the Earth Order Era, but there were two Sui Sovereigns that did this during the Fire Order Era. But it been too long, no one knows whether if the imperial tomb still remains." Xin Huo answered, “If the imperial tomb was damaged, the residual imperial aura of the Heavenly Monarchs can be strong enough to be the cause of all this.”

Something that was digging out from the inside?

Zhong Yue was shivering in cold, he didn’t like the thought.

The imperial tomb belonged to the Heavenly Monarchs, there were countless gods that were buried in it. There might be some undying ones that remained in dormancy that might come back alive under any stimulations. They were exactly why the imperial tombs appeared mysterious and were feared by many.

The Reincarnation Monarch was still not the Heavenly Monarch, he was just the ruler of the first Six Paths World. But even Lord Xia could only explore the outer rim of the imperial tomb.

The key to opening Reincarnation Monarch’s imperial tomb was the Four Symbol Banners now in Swords Gate. In order to retrieve the Azure Dragon Banner, the Zhong Li Celestial Race sacrificed many magnates in battle with the Azure Dragon residing in the banner, and yet, all of their hard work eventually fell into Zhong Yue’s hands.

Even the Reincarnation Monarch had such powerful treasures protecting over its key, let alone the Heavenly Monarch’s imperial tombs.

If the Heavenly Monarch imperial was opened and an undying ancient figure escaped from it, it surely wasn’t a good omen at all.

“Could it be someone like the Xiao Mang grand ancestor? Residing in the sun core like how he resides in the moon core?" Zhong Yue asked, “Could there be an existence that dug out the sun core and hurried the sun spirits away to receive the worshippings of the living beings?”

Xin Huo’s tone turned solemn as he answered, “If that is really the case, then this existence will be countless times stronger than the Xiao Mang grand ancestor. But the Ancestral Star is now just a waste planet, not even the scums of the universe would bother with it, not to mention a god. Shame, you are too weak to enter the sun and check it out.”

A thought flashed across Zhong Yue’s mind, he said with a faint smile, “Who said I can’t?”

Xin Huo was puzzled, then he saw the light wheels revolving behind Zhong Yue. The Sui Tree’s tree branches flew out while Zhong Yue’s Yuan Shen flew out from his body and turned into the three-taloned Golden Crow Yuan Shen. Then, the tree branches curled around the Golden Crow Yuan Shen and tucked it into the crow’s nest.

This time, Zhong Yue’s Yuan Shen stayed inside the crow’s nest obediently. The Sui Tree True Spirit was tamed and yet, as long as the Golden Crow Yuan Shen came into its senses, it would always tucked it into the crow’s nest.

With just a thought, the Sui Tree flew into the sun.

But there was a repulsive force that acted upon him, it was as if the Sui Tree was reluctant to re-enter the sun, as though there was something inside it that terrified it.

Although it had no intelligence or consciousness, it was a spirit that could had a primal sense to distinguish between the good and bad in things.

Zhong Yue visualized the Sui Sovereign and forced the Sui Tree to enter the sun. The heat inside was so hot that it could even vaporize the divine weapons. Not even Deity Overlords would be strong enough to survive in here.

The pressure around was incredibly high, and explosions occurred every minute as Solar Cosmic Rays filled every visible corner.

But the Sui Tree was, after all, the spirit that emerged within the sun, this environment was just like home to it. And Zhong Yue’s Golden Crow Yuan Shen was inside of the crow’s nest, well protected by the Sui Tree.

Inside of the crow’s nest, the Golden Crow cautiously raised its head out and glanced around.

“The flow of time in here seemed different to the others…" Zhong Yue was shocked. He cultivated the【Time Light Spatial Crystal Mystic Scripture】and although his comprehensions in it were still primitive, his understandings toward time and space were still something others cannot compare with.

He could clearly tell that the flow of time was slower inside the sun than outside, merely half of the usual one — it was truly strange.

This meant if there was anyone that could live in here, his life would be doubled from what it would be outside.

He could also see that the godly sunfire inside the sun was aligned in a marvelous way, gradually forming into an endless stream of totem patterns that hovered inside the sun.

These were natural totem patterns, imbued with appalling strength. Even the Sui Tree wouldn’t go near to them.

Not only that, but there were many other natural totem patterns around in here: time, space, lightning, and some others he had never learned before.

One of them pertained to magnetism.

Under such extreme conditions, the law of nature in here was slightly warped from those that operated in the outside world.

Zhong Yue was shocked to say the least. Many things he never understood in the【Time Light Spatial Crystal Mystic Scripture】were answered here. Some of the mysteries and questions that seemed totally absurd before were now beginning to make sense.

If I can study the【Time Light Spatial Crystal Mystic Scripture】in here, my attainments will be deeper and faster than doing it on the outside. If there are any living beings that can cultivate in here, their cultivation progress will be way faster, and they would also come out of it with a myriad of new insights.

Zhong Yue was envious, never once did he have such an urge to stay in one place. He thought, Just let me cultivate here for some time and I will surely be able to attain some unique totem patterns from this place, I can surely create some skills that the world had never encountered before.

The Sui Tree was still flying toward the core of the sun, its speed gradually reduced as it drew closer to the center. However, they were already close to it, and Zhong Yue could vaguely see the fireball that was shrouded in the incredible godly sunfire.

It was undoubtedly, the core of the sun.

The fireball sized like a planet, it was engraved with ancient carvings, they were the natural totem patterns that guarded the sun core.

All of a sudden, Zhong Yue’s heart thumped violently, and he quickly ordered the Sui Tree to stop and remain unmoving.

A mirror suddenly appeared in front of the Sui Tree, it was smooth and bright, so clear that it could reflect even the thin
nest strand of hair on it.

In the mirror, Zhong Yue could see the totem patterns that formed the Sui Tree, every tiny detail, and the most basic form that the totem patterns were in were all revealed in the mirror.

Not only that, but he could also see himself inside of the mirror, it was also like the Sui Tree. The formation of Yuan Shen, and the structure of spirit and soul were all presented in the forms of totem patterns.

Looking closely, even his Yuan Shen secret realms were reflected in the mirror, there was simply nothing that could be hidden from the mirror.

  What … is this?

Zhong Yue felt his scalp tingling, there were no secrets at all in front of the mirror. Everything was revealed, even the tiniest and most covert detail, including the weaknesses and flaws in his Yuan Shen. Everything was reflected in the mirror.

He never ever found mirrors terrifying, until he met this one.

  A divine weapon, perhaps?

Zhong Yue looked at the mirror for a few moments, trying to discern its true nature. But all he could see was him and the Sui Tree in it.

The pressure inside the sun suppressed the Sui Tree and Golden Crow Yuan Shen to such a small size that it affected his vision. He couldn’t perceive the full picture or what the mirror looked like exactly.

The Sui Tree grew even more anxious, it kept wanting to leave.

Zhong Yue thought about it, and just as he was going to leave as the Sui Tree’s desire, the mirror moved. It flew away from him and headed toward the sun core.

It was so huge that even when it was flying away from him, it still obstructed his sight. Ten miles, a hundred miles, a thousand miles and finally, he could finally see the edge of the mirror.

As the mirror flew further away from him, he was able to a look at the mirror’s full picture. But before he could do anything, another mirror entered Zhong Yue’s vision.

Then, the third, the fourth, fifth…

As the mirrors filled in the surrounding, he was opened up to a wider vision thanks to the reflections from the mirrors.

It was then that he saw a huge claw, a claw whose surface was paved with mirrors.

Or to be exact, these ‘mirrors’ were just the scales of the huge claw.

Zhong Yue’s eyes were wide in disbelief, he glanced around and looked through the reflection, but he wasn’t able to see the owner of such a huge claw.

The owner of the claw was too large, and he was too close to it, making him unable to behold its complete form.

  What could it be?

Zhong Yue was utterly stunned, he continued glancing around. And suddenly, a bright ray shone on the mirror and his eyes immediately burst out in streams of blood.

  Leave.

Zhong Yue thought and the Sui Tree flew out from the sun core. There were sounds of crashing coming from the sun core, it would be that the huge claw was starting to dig the sun core again.

Moments later, the eyes of Zhong Yue’s Yuan Shen grew back and he regained his senses to see. His heart was still thumping in shock.

That huge claw, what is it? An innate god from the sun? Undying ancient figures from the imperial tomb? Invading gods? Why is it destroying the sun core? Is it looking for something? Or trying to make the sun its home?

So many questions, so many mysteries, yet no answers.

All of a sudden, a loud cry came from the sun core, it was loud and high-pitched. Then, Zhong Yue felt a wave of billowing heat bursting out from the sun, forcefully pushing him out of the sun core.

Vaguely, he distinguished a huge mirror that was also pushed out along with him. There were blood stains on the mirror.

Chapter 544: Radiance of the Ten Suns |

  It’s the creature’s scale!

Zhong Yue was shocked, he thought, How did the scale break off? A scale this strong can only have an even stronger owner, so what could break the scales off from it?

As he thought, he was suddenly overjoyed and he quickly rushed toward the scale, Whatever, that has nothing to with me. This scale is definitely something good, not to mention its power, just its ability to be able to reflect my flaws and weaknesses will be able to help me greatly. This is the best treasure for me to improve myself.

The sun storm shot the scale out at a great speed, but the Sui Tree wasn’t slow either. It moved like a fish swimming in water as it sped increasingly faster toward the scale.

It was hard to get in but much easier to get out. It only took half a day for the Sui Tree to exit the sun and enter space with the creature’s broken scale.

Zhong Yue’s Yuan Shen returned back to normal and the Sui Tree turned back to its usual size, but the scale remained the same.

This scale, was it not compressed by the immense pressure inside the sun?

Zhong Yue’s breath hastened, he controlled the Sui Tree and rushed to the back of the scale, he yelled loudly and countless totem patterns formed into a fire hand that clenched onto the scale.

  Slip——

The huge fire hand fell on the scale and the scale slipped across his hand like water sliding down a piece of smooth glass.

The scale was incredibly smooth, nothing seemed to be able to stick its surface. Everything would slide away regardless what it was.

If anything will slide over the scale, doesn’t that mean not a single skill can attack affect it?

Zhong Yue was stunned, he mumbled, “How does one even hold onto such a treasure?”

What terrified him even more was the implication that the creature covered in these scales would be effectively invincible.

This was the first time he ever encountered such a peculiar existence, it presumed that it must be some ancient figure.

Zhong Yue cast the Sui Tree and extended its branches out to curl around the scale, but they couldn’t even hold grasp onto the scale.

Zhong Yue was thus left with no choice, he took out the copper lamp and prayed in his heart, If even this copper lamp can’t do anything to it, then I can only let it go…

Zhong Yue opened the lid and the space in front became distorted. The huge scale along with the godly sunfire was sucked into the copper lamp.

It was at this moment that the Solar Cosmic Rays burst out again, along with a strong wave of Metamagnet Divine Rays, but were sucked into the copper lamp. These Solar Cosmic Rays and Metamagnet Divine Rays were clashing inside along with the scale.

Zhong Yue quickly closed the lamp lid and thought happily, Xin Huo’s copper lamp is still stronger. It seems like this scale wasn’t really untouchable at all, or else the copper lamp wouldn’t be able to contain it.

The Solar Cosmic Rays, Metamagnet Divine Rays, and the scale clashed for a few moments before settling down soon after. Zhong Yue moved the Sui Tree out from the sun storm and was incredibly happy. He opened the lid and looked down, the Solar Cosmic Rays were compressed into a screen of light that was slowly moving inside the universe-like lamp oil.

The scale was also compressed by the lamp oil inside, but it wasn’t compressed as much as the Divine Wing Saber.

Seems like this scale is even better than the Divine Wing Saber.

Zhong Yue’s eyes brightened up, his Yuan Shen returned back to him and he released the scale out from the copper lamp. The large scale hovered in front of him like a huge mirror.

It was then that Zhong Yue found out that this was only half a scale. It would be the creature inside the sun met with something that broke its scale off from its body. But even so, it was still over a few hundred miles wide.

The scale was still as impressive as what he had seen inside the sun, it reflected everything and showed the flaws and weaknesses as well. Zhong Yue looked into the mirror and saw all of the flaws in his mortal body, the incompleteness of the totem patterns, the weaknesses of his Yuan Shen and the minor injuries in his soul.

Xin Huo flew out from Zhong Yue’s psyche ocean and looked curiously at the scale.

From the reflection, Zhong Yue tried to see through Xin Huo but the little flame rema
ined just a little flame. There wasn’t anything special about it at all.

It seems like this scale isn’t that strong too…, Zhong Yue was feeling a little let down, First it was captured by the copper lamp and now Xin Huo, who is obviously filled with mysteries, appeared only as a little flame, this scale isn’t that marvelous at all.

Xin Huo looked around the mirror and asked curiously, “What is this?”

“A scale." Zhong Yue then talked about it to Xin Huo and said, “As for the owner of the scale, I don’t know either. I can’t see its true face, the godly light ray that was reflected in its scale blinded me. I had no choice but to leave.”

“There is blood on the scale." Xin Huo flew over and carefully inspected the blood stain, trying to get something out from it. Moments later, the little flame shook his head, “I’ve never encountered such a bloodline before, could it be a new species? Strange … the injuries might not be from the sun core, it must have accidentally gotten in touch with the imperial tomb and was hurt by the tomb’s protective system.”

“The imperial tomb?" Zhong Yue’s interest was piqued. The creature inside the sun was so strong and terrifying, he couldn’t wait to see the battle between it and the imperial tomb.

Xin Huo praised, “This scale is not bad, it’s better than the Divine Wing Saber. Probably wait here for a little longer, more scales might that fly out from the sun.”

Zhong Yue was still in disbelief, he looked closely at the reflected image of Xin Huo in the scale but still couldn’t find anything.

“Either it’s Xin Huo that is at a higher level than it, or this scale is not too spectacular." Zhong Yue mumbled unhappily.

The little flame was all proud, he comforted Zhong Yue in a condescending tone, “Young man, don’t blame the mirror, it’s not shitty at all. It’s just me that is on a completely different level to it.”

Xin Huo’s little fire tail was raised high as a triumphant look radiated across his face. The young man looked at the little flame with a pair of dead eyes before lowering his head and mumbling, “It must be the mirror that is too shitty.”
