Running Wild - 3 tales of erotic exploration Page 8

She blinked languorously. "Was that so hard to say?"

Bloody hell. What was she doing to him? "Yes, it was hard."

He wanted her so much that he was saying things he normally wouldn't. He was about ready to beg her to make him come.

"Poor Shaun. I'm sorry, lover." She stroked his face. "I wanted to see how much you need me."

When he met her gaze, her eyes glowed with female power, with certainty.

Something inside him broke apart. He turned his face into the palm of her hand and kissed it. "I need you, okay. I need you so much..."

"Good," she whispered. With a sexy laugh she shifted her weight and finally began to ride him with abandon, her nails raking over his chest as she clutched at his cock, milking him eagerly.

"Yes, yes, yes," he bellowed and he didn't care who heard. His neck arched, his head burrowing back into the pillows as he abandoned himself to her.

The look of her as she crushed down on him over and again, her hot cunt eating him up with every stride, fast sent him hurtling towards the brink of climax. She bucked and arched, her cunt tight and deliciously slippery. He felt her heat intensify and then she melted on him. When her mouth opened and her hips ground down, hard, his release roared through him, every ounce of him rigid when his climax hit.

Her boots were pressed hard into his flanks, gripping him tightly, and her delicious cunt spasmed in response, a cry of abandonment on her lips as the last tight spasm came undone and he felt her juices running.

"Oh, yes, come," he cried, when he felt the bite of the boots on his skin, the scratch of her nails and the spasms inside her. "Oh dear god, Tina, I want you..."

It made him fiercely possessive, seeing her come that way. It made him proud. Bending over him, her hair brushed over his face while she stroked him gently and kissed him. She touched him for a long while, before she unlocked the cuffs and released him.

He took her into his arms, relieved to have that ability again, and as she lay there he stared deep into her eyes, his hands stroking over her body, gently.

As he admired her, he realized she was everything he had hoped for, and so much more. She was a woman who would always be his personal challenge—a woman who demanded the best of him, a woman who had the ability to inspire him every single day.

"You love it, don't you, playing the game like this?" he whispered, kissing her throat and the soft skin at her collarbone. He wanted her to say yes, he wanted her to say that she loved him too, but she didn't

The look in her eyes was assessing and thoughtful. How could he blame her for being cautious with him? He'd set the rules. It was up to him to break them down. He just needed a sign that she wanted more. He stroked her, silently.

"Do you always have to win?" she asked, eventually.

Again, she surprised him. "No, but I admit that I find it hard to concede defeat."

"I just made you do that." Her smile was cheeky.

He felt exposed, but somehow relieved. "So you did."

He chuckled and kissed the end of her nose, holding her close in his arms, loving this woman.

Tomorrow, tomorrow he'd tell her how he felt. If she felt the same, if she wanted more, he'd make it happen.

  Chapter Six

Never before had Tina felt so cosseted, so cherished, as she did that night. They held each other close, wrapped around each other, barely dozing. They exchanged kisses in the dark and she knew he was studying her all the time. What was he thinking about? She could almost hear the cogs clicking and whirring. Did his mind ever rest?

In the morning they showered together, long and slow, soaping each other down and bringing each other to climax by hand, staring into each other's eyes as they did so. He'd wrapped her in a big towel afterward, rubbing her gently, squeezing the dampness from her hair with a hand towel. It made her feel a little embarrassed, but he seemed determined to do it for her.

But now she was sitting across the breakfast table from him, and a frown darkened his expression. Thankfully none of the other guests had appeared. It was still early. While they put the coffee percolator on, the tension had built between them. He was getting ready to tell her he was leaving, she could tell. What she was curious about most of all was how he was expected her to react. Did he think she'd get upset? Is that what he wanted, was that the proof he needed? She hoped not, because deep down she suspected that what he really needed was to respect her, to believe she would always be strong. Whining and crying wouldn't do any good with a man like him. It might boost his ego, but that was short lived. There were deeper issues at stake now.

"You look as if you have something on your mind," she prompted eventually.

Shaun nodded and gave her a wry smile. "You're an astute woman."

He moved his key chain around on the surface of the kitchen table before reaching for his coffee cup. "I won't be around, soon. I'm leaving London, for Switzerland. Zurich."

He made the statement casually then sipped at the potent coffee. He looked as if he was about to add something, but waited for her response before doing so.

Tina noticed he didn't mention the fact it wasn't a permanent move. He wanted her reaction to the idea of losing him first, presumably. She set her cup down, carefully. "That's a shame."

He looked deep into her eyes.

She stood up as if carrying her cup to the sink.

For a split second shock passed over his face. "Yes, isn't it?"

His voice was gruff. He stood up as well, latching his key chain onto his belt and tucking the end of it into his pocket, distractedly.

He'd expected her to be upset. He'd obviously planned around that. Would he have soothed her with promises, or backed off, hating her neediness? She couldn't take that risk, but she'd thrown him. Would that make it easy for him to back off? She didn't want that, so she stepped over and pulled the chain back out of his pocket.

"Can I have it, as a souvenir?" She tugged on it.

  "You want a souvenir...of us?"

"Yes, because I'll miss you." Again she tugged at the chain. "I can think of you when I play with it," she added suggestively.

He stared at her, and then his frown broke and a look of relief surfaced in his eyes. "You're a bad girl, how's a man supposed to get any work done, thinking about that?"

  He gave a quiet laugh.

She'd called his bluff. "So you will think about it, me and the key chain, playing?"

When she arched an eyebrow at him he shook his head in disbelief, but his smile was wide. He took off his keys, unlatched the chain and coiled it slowly into her hand. "Of course I'll bloody well think about it."

"Thank you." She turned away. She bit her lip to resist the smile.

"I'll be back in a few weeks," he offered, moving close against her back, his hands resting lightly on hips.

Her heart brimmed, but she wanted him to say more before she opened up.

  She rinsed out her cup.

He touched her tentatively on the shoulder. Then his arms crept around her and pulled her body closer to his. She rested back against him, silently urging him on. She could feel the tension in him as sure as a loaded weapon against her back.

"And I'll call you, if you'd like me to?"

"Call me? That'll be a first." She flashed him a suggestive glance over her shoulder as she put the cup down on the drainer. "Do we get to have dirty phone sex?"

After what seemed an eternity he put his hands firmly on her shoulders and turned her to face him. "You really are a vixen."

"Who me?" She pouted at him.

"Bloody hell, Tina, what are you trying to do to me? I'm trying to make sensible arrangements to stay in touch, for the future..." He broke off when he realized what he had said. He really was in a sorry state.

Her heart ached for him. She touched her fingers across his mouth, rested a kiss on his cheek, and breached the gap for him. "Shaun, you could have had my telephone number whenever you wanted. I'm glad you asked for it now."

  He huffed out a brea
th. "Good, I wasn't sure for a minute there."

She winked. "You'd hate me if I were all weak and needy. If I weren't up to dealing with you and what ever curve balls you decide to throw me, we wouldn't even be here now, together..."

"Curve balls, huh?" He thought about what she said, exhaled the tension audibly and reached to stroke her hair. "Yes, you're right. It's your strength and your vitality that I adore." He stared at her. "Oh god, Tina, you're the most amazing woman I've ever met and…" he paused, "and you're bringing me to my knees here." He blurted the last part loudly, his expression growing frantic.

"You know, Shaun, that almost sounded like a compliment."

His eyes rounded. "Fuck it, Tina. I love you."

She stared at him, wondering if she'd imagined it, but no, the pleading look in his eyes assured he wasn't. "I know how hard that was for you," she murmured.

"Don't you play with me," he warned.

"Ha. Look who's talking! I'm not playing with you...well, not in a way you wouldn't want me to." She reached to wrap her fingers around the back of his neck. "In that case, it's a good job that I love you too."

He held back for a moment, until it sank in. Then he kissed her, and he moved against her with desperation, clutching at her, his hands needy and fast, moving all over her.

She welcomed him in, her tongue teasing his, her arms snaked around his neck, her fingers in his hair. Their bodies rocked together, no holding back now. She lifted her knee alongside his hip, locking him against her. He covered her jaw with kisses, his hands cupping her breasts from beneath.

When he eased away, his eyes twinkled in a way she hadn't seen before. It made her heart brim with pleasure. She stroked her hand over the bulge beneath his zipper. "Do you think we can make it back to bed before anyone else gets up?"

"Probably," he replied, and then drew her hand free, lifting it to his lips, where he kissed it. "But I'd rather we stayed here, because I'd like to make an announcement about us, if you're okay with that."

Tina couldn't stifle her smile. "I think most of them have guessed already."

"Enough with the teasing. I mean... you know what I mean, become a couple, officially."

"Oh, I think I can deal with that." Bed was obviously going to have to wait, at least for a little while.

"Good, I'll tell them." There was a determined expression in those eyes of his.

The blossoming pleasure in her chest expanded rapidly. He really did want to stay and do that, make a statement.

"What else can you deal with," he asked, tiptoeing his fingers across her cleavage.

"What else have you in mind?"

"I'm thinking why don't you take a few days off work and come to Zurich with me? We could explore the place together, you can help me get settled in and all. My time there is to extend my specialist working knowledge, and it's only for a matter of weeks, but it would be so much better if you could be part of it."

His voice was hoarse, and her heart dipped and soared in response to those words, something inside her closing tight and savoring the burst of pleasure in her chest.

"We could take it from there," he added, tentatively.

"I thought you'd never ask," she responded as levelly as she could manage, and rocked her hips against his growing erection.

"You really wanted me to beg, didn't you?"

"Hey, I already had you do that."

He shook his head. "You know, some men would call you a ball breaker."

"And you, what would you call me?"

  He grinned. "A worthy challenge."

"A challenge, who, me?" She laughed softly, teasing him. "You told me that's what I needed, that first night."

"It was what you needed. I did too. And you were it." He held her tightly. "You're a great player, Tina, the best. But I play to win, and I intend to have my prize."

She put one hand on his chest, stopped him. "Ah, but I'm a winner too, and sometimes, just sometimes, both players get to win the game." In the distance she heard footsteps descending the stairs. The other guests were up, Kate and Ray would be on their way down. She licked her lips, and smiled. "This is one of those times."

"You could be right, and enjoying the prize together might be fun." His eyebrows lifted as he trailed his fingers over her throat.

"My thoughts exactly," she replied, and wrapped her hand around his head, drawing her man in for a long, well-earned kiss.

  MASTERING MEG

  Chapter One

Meg Sheldon stepped onto the wooden porch in front of her rental cabin and looked across the glen. It was nearly midday, and the morning mist was finally clearing. Although the October air was sharp in her lungs—edged with a hint of winter—the sun had broken through the autumn clouds, promising a good day for hiking. Meg let the view fill her senses, savoring it. The Highlands of Scotland were everything she thought they would be, and more. Taking a deep breath she anticipated the hike ahead and didn't allow herself to brood on the fact that she wasn't supposed to be doing this alone.

She flung on her backpack, securing it, and shut the door of the purpose-built rental cabin. Reaching into her pocket for the key, she paused when she heard the low rumble of an engine. It wouldn't have bothered her, but she recognized that sound. It was a familiar engine sound.

Her head jolted up and she quickly turned around, her eyes narrowing as she looked at the spot where the road meandered out of the woods and ran along the spot where the rental cabins were set back from the road, clustered together at the edge of a popular hiking area. Sure enough, the sun glinted on the silver Mercedes SLR as it sped towards the cabins.

It was Piers Sinclair, her ex.

Meg gritted her teeth. What the hell was he doing here?

Piers had agreed that she could use the cabin. This was now supposed to be her healing time after their split. She'd been there two days already, and it was helping her think straight, away from London and their familiar haunts. There was no way she was going to move out so he could take his turn in the cabin. If he insisted on it, it was purely for his own amusement. He had family he could stay with in the area. Piers was a Scot, whereas she was a Londoner through and through.

Anger flared inside her as the car slowed down and pulled off the road, parking alongside her Audi. The light glinted off his shades as he looked her way. Her pulse tripped then raced on erratically, her heartbeat thundering in her ears. By the time the car had pulled to a halt in front of the place where she'd been standing and the driver emerged, she was hiking off in the opposite direction, determined to ignore him. Not before she caught sight of that long limber frame of his—broad at the shoulders and narrow at the hips—as he stepped out of the car. Her stomach knotted and her footsteps went unmeasured, her feet stumbling against the loose gravel.

Piers caught up to her and was by her side in a flash, grabbing her to him and halting her footsteps.

Meg attempted to pull away, grappling for the wooden post on the porch of the neighboring cabin. When she backed against it, he closed in, pressing his body to hers, pinning her to the spot with his weight. She swallowed hard, staring up at him in disbelief.

"Well now," he said, "this isn't very civil of you. You could have at least said hello, if you couldn't bring yourself to welcome me with open arms." The blatantly sarcastic tone of his voice was nothing compared to the look in his eyes—intense, knowing, and ever so slightly crazy. His gaze raked over her, and there was speculation in his eyes, as if he was assessing her.

"Welcome you?" she blurted. "This is my time. You weren't supposed to be in the picture." She wriggled in his grasp, trying to break free. "Let me go!"

Piers sighed, but he didn't let her go. In fact he held her tighter still. He was a strong man, and he towered over her. He didn't usually use it this way, however, and that unnerved her. Whatever was he thinking, and why was he acting this way? There was heavy stubble on his chin and his hair was awry. He looked as if he'd driven through the night. Perhaps that had made him edgy. He neve
r normally behaved like this. What had got into him?

"You know, Meg, we planned this holiday together."

His rich Scottish accent jangled her nerves, familiar and seductive as it was.

"That was a long time ago, and you know it."

He ran one thumb over her collarbone, holding her easily with the other hand, stroking her there in the tender spot at the base of her neck the way he used to.

The action set loose a flurry of butterflies inside her, but warning signals were also blasting everywhere.

"I emailed you," she added, "and you agreed." She stumbled over the words, still in shock that he had turned up and manhandled her this way.

"I changed my mind." There was a wicked glint in his eyes and his mouth lifted at the corners. "I figured we could share…fair is fair, after all."

"Share?" She glared at him. "You've got to be joking. You're just trying to annoy me."

He gave a wry, husky laugh and shook his head at her.

Meg didn't know what was going on in his mind, and that had been their problem. They were attracted to each other, cared deeply, but there was something missing. And yet the moment he pressed his hips against hers, rocking against her, she melted. He lifted her chin and those familiar blue eyes of his made her want him so badly. The stubble on his chin was obvious enough that it made her skin tingle, because she knew what that would feel like rubbing against her naked body. The way he moved, so tantalizingly, made her centre warm and slick.

"I can't do this," she murmured. The idea of sharing that tiny cabin with him, her ex, presented all sorts of problems. The way he looked right at this moment—in slouchy faded jeans and a tight black T-shirt, unshaven and wild-eyed, was enough to get her in trouble. She'd been without sex for two months, and part of her still craved him. Badly. If she got close to him again, it would be harder still to draw that final line under their relationship. The fact that she could feel his erection growing against her while he had her pinned up against the post was evidence enough.
