“It fits,” Rory said and smiled.
“Somehow, I’m not surprised. Would you do me the honor of putting the other ring on my finger?”
The ring fit Samuel’s finger.
“Your mom must’ve had a big finger or you a small one,” Rory said.
“You’ll find out just how big my finger is in a minute, young man,” Samuel said and chuckled. “I had my mom’s ring sized for my finger a while back.”
“Before you met me.”
“Yeah, but something in me must’ve know you were coming,” Samuel said then got in bed beside Rory who was looking at his ring. “They’re simple rings but—”
“Perfect,” Rory said. “A nice simple proposal.”
“Yes, well… the thing is. Let me start over. I think that you laid claim to me a few years ago. I just didn’t know I belonged to you until now.”
“It was more than a few years ago to me,” Rory said. “I like the idea of you belonging to me. The rings are a good start to your making a claim on me, but I know what would seal the deal.”
Samuel kissed Rory and they clasped hands for a moment before Samuel turned Rory onto his stomach.
“I don’t really like to abuse our vampire powers but this is a special night for us.” he looked up and spoke to the air and the room. “No sound uttered in this room will leave it.”
“Is it that simple?” Rory said.
“Pretty much. Now you can moan to your heart’s desire and not wake the kids.”
“Why’d you have to build that special soundproof bunker, if all you had to do was say a simple phrase?”
“That’s a strange question to ask at this time,” Samuel said. “The answer is sort of obvious. The other vampire can make a statement saying their voice will carry and cancel out the previous statement.”
“No more questions tonight I promise,” Rory said.
“Good, now lie back and enjoy yourself.”
Rory moaned as Samuel kissed the back of his neck. He shivered when Samuel’s tongue slid down his spine. When Samuel kissed his ass he couldn’t help but giggle.
Samuel slapped Rory’s ass playfully when he giggled. He then spread his ass cheeks wide and kissed Rory’s virgin hole. Placing his arm under Rory, Samuel gently lifted him up on all fours.
The sensations were incredible. There was no way Rory could keep from moaning as Samuel’s tongue explored the area around his asshole. He gasped when he felt the slick tongue enter his ass.
“Oh my God,” Rory said. “That feels incredible.” He could feel Samuel alternating between sucking on his ass and fucking it with his tongue and gripped the sheets with his hands. When he felt he couldn’t take anymore, Samuel stopped.
Samuel moved so he was face-to-face with Rory and they kissed. Rory pulled back a minute then chuckled.
“You were concerned about the taste of my kiss,” Samuel said. “How is this all new to you?”
“I never thought of it as a safe thing to do,” Rory said. “And I’ve always been a top.”
“It’s safe as long as you’re really clean. Since our bodies no longer… how do I put this? Technically our bodies are pretty much dead, so we no longer shit and piss to put it bluntly. Thus our asses are clean, unless we’ve been working in the yard and are sweaty. Either way we don’t carry Hepatitis.”
“That wasn’t a very romantic topic, was it?”
“Nope, now I’ll have to work on getting you relaxed all over again. Maybe I’ll do some exploring with that finger of mine you mentioned earlier”
“No. Forget your finger and tongue—just do it. Please.”
“I don’t want to hurt you.”
“It’ll only be momentary,” Rory said. “I need you in me now, no more foreplay.”
Samuel lifted Rory’s legs in the air and placed them over his shoulders. In one smooth, quick move his cock entered Rory.
“Uuugh!”
Samuel stopped, but didn’t exit Rory. He gave him time to get used to having his cock inside him.
“Damn, that hurt,” Rory said. “Keep going.”
Slowly Samuel began to slide his cock back and forth inside Rory’s tight ass. It felt good the way it clenched onto his erection. As he felt Rory’s body relax, Samuel picked up his pace.
The initial penetration had hurt like hell, but Rory now enjoyed the feel of Samuel’s cock inside him. His body moved in rhythm with Samuel as his fingers played with his nipples. The sounds of his moans were now accompanied by the sounds of Samuel’s. When Rory moved his hand down to jack off, Samuel reached over and played with his nipples. He tugged hard on them and Rory moaned loudly in pleasure.
“Harder, harder!” Rory said.
Samuel pulled on Rory’s nipples harder as he fucked him faster, slamming into him. Rory pushed his body against Samuel’s trying to meet his every thrust with one of his own.
“I’m close, babe,” Samuel said.
“Don’t pull out,” Rory said. “I want every last drop of it in me.”
Both men moaned louder than ever as Samuel came.
“God that felt so damn good,” Rory said.
Samuel lay back by Rory’s feet. He kissed one, then sucked on Rory’s big toe.
“Mmm, you taste so good,” Samuel said.
Rory patted the spot next to him and Samuel began to move there. He spotted Rory’s cock covered in cum and lapped the cum up before he kissed Rory.
They were nestled in each other’s arms when Samuel sensed Rory had a question.
“Go ahead and ask, it’s alright,” Samuel said.
“How come we can still cum? We can’t have kids and our bodies are nearly or almost dead.”
“There’s no living sperm in our cum,” Samuel said. “It still tastes good though.” He laughed then hugged Rory and tickled his sides. They giggled and rolled around in bed a while before deciding to shower in the guest bath. Afterward they went to the master bedroom, and dressed in boxers.
“No shirts tonight, please,” Samuel said. “I understand the need for boxers when our bed can be invaded by a cute lil two-year-old, but I like looking at your bare chest.”
“Ditto,” Rory said.
They got in bed, looked at each other and giggled quietly. Rory couldn’t help holding Samuel closely and rubbing up against him. They played footsie as well.
“Are you up for another session?” Samuel said.
Before Rory could answer, they were rudely interrupted.
Chapter 35
Family Time
IT WAS LATE at night and Samuel had found, and was playing a CD of his 1960s album as Rory held the twins while their milk heated. Aileen sat in Samuel’s lap at the dining room table looking through Rory’s old photo album with Samuel..
“Gerard doesn’t have many secrets from me. He must really like you to have kept this album of me a secret for so long,” Samuel said.
“He honored a promise he’d made to a young teenager,” Rory said as he hovered in the living room where he could talk to Samuel and keep an eye on the milk. “And I didn’t tell you he’s the one that had it. You figured it out on your own.”
“I’m not angry about it. I think it’s sweet.”
“Daddy!” Aileen said as she pointed to a picture of Samuel in the album.
“Good girl,” Samuel said. “You got Daddy’s name right.”
“She also figured out it was you,” Rory said. “She’s smart like her dada. Which picture did she point to?”
“One of me from the twenties,” Samuel said. “Look at my slicked back hair—geez.”
“How do you like Daddy’s singing, Aileen?” Rory said. “That’s him singing on the CD.”
Aileen just giggled.
“Rory, I had an idea I meant to run by you earlier when we put Aileen’s princess outfits, tiaras, and trunk in Veronique’s room.”
“What’s your idea?”
“With those fancy costumes in there, the room looks more princess than whorehouse. The bed’s big but
I’m sure I can make or put up some guard rails so Aileen doesn’t fall out of bed.”
“Sounds good,” Rory said. “Those fancy gold curtains, gold bedspread, and furnishings do sort of scream princess now that the costumes are there.”
“You look concerned, Rory.”
“Not so much concerned but if it’s not a problem with you I sort of like having us all in one room for now.”
“That’s fine,” Samuel said. “I understand completely. We can keep the kids clothes and toys in the two guestrooms. And the kids can sleep in our room until the time is right for them to sleep in their own rooms.”
“Thank you,” Rory said and smiled.
Samuel blew him a kiss. Aileen blew Rory a kiss too and he laughed.
When the kids had eaten and gone back to bed, Rory and Samuel went to the guest bedroom for some alone time. After they were done, Rory had his head on Samuel’s chest and was lightly sucking on his nipple when Samuel spoke.
“Your ass is still really tight, did it hurt?”
“Yeah, but it was worth it.”
“I didn’t think I’d have a virgin on my wedding night,” Samuel said.
“Hey, we haven’t had a ceremony yet.” Rory chuckled and bit Samuel’s nipple.
“Ouch, sorry. I’ll throw you the biggest ceremony you want. I never thought I’d see the day when gays and lesbians could legally marry.”
“Neither did I,” Rory said. “And what I said about having a ceremony is just my attempt at a joke. Although it would be nice from a legal point of view. In case either one of us ever got sick or… I’m so dumb. Vampires don’t exactly use hospitals.”
“Charlie did,” Samuel said. “He’d been sick a while, when we had papers drawn up giving me power of attorney. We were lucky his kids didn’t argue with us about anything.”
“You loved him a lot.”
“I did. Is that OK.”
“Sure it is. I hope he loved you too.”
“He did—as much as he could. But not as much as you love me. Mind you, we had a wonderful life together—Charlie and I. I’m godfather to his grandchildren, a boy and girl.”
“Do you still see them?”
“Yes, actually. The boy’s a young teenager, the girl’s still in middle school. They’re great kids. I’d love for you to meet them at some point.”
“OK. Do they know about the vampire thing?”
“They don’t, but their parents do.”
“Were they upset when you didn’t turn Charlie into a vampire.”
“Charlie’s daughter knew that he’d been given the choice. She wished he would’ve chosen to turn, but she was there when he refused.”
“I’m sorry.”
“For what?” Samuel said.
“For the fact he didn’t want to turn for you. It must’ve hurt you and I don’t like the idea of you hurting.”
“I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed and let down, but I wouldn’t have met you if things had gone differently. Charlie was a good man and an honest one. I think he wanted me to have the chance to find you. That idea really comforts me a lot.”
“He loved you so he’d want you to be happy. Charlie wasn’t a bad looking guy. I saw the picture of you and him on the nightstand.”
“I’ll replace it with a picture of us when I get a chance.”
“That’s not why I mentioned it. Replace it but don’t get rid of it, I’m not jealous. You and he were happy together and I’m glad you had that.”
“You’re incredible,” Samuel said and kissed Rory.
“Well, I know you’re mine and I’m yours.”
“That is very true. We’ve got company coming tomorrow and I’ve got a long drive in the afternoon so we’d better attempt some shuteye.”
“I’ve got news for you. It’s already tomorrow.”
THAT MORNING, SAMUEL and Rory set up one high chair for Aileen at the kitchen island and another at the dining room table. The twins were still too little to use high chairs. Rory put the new clothes he’d bought for himself in the master bedroom closet and dresser. He then put the kids clothes in the two guest rooms.
“The house wasn’t always this big, was it?” Rory said as he sat at the kitchen island watching Aileen adjust to her new high chair while she ate crackers.
“No,”Samuel said. “Daddy added the dining room and a bedroom for my sister when she was about five.”
“Daddy,” Aileen said and pointed to Samuel who smiled.
“Will you be able to contact me psychically or somehow when you’re in New Orleans?”
“It’d be better if I didn’t for my own safety,” Samuel said. “You might be able to pick up on my thoughts, though. For a new vampire you’re unusually perceptive.”
“I’ve heard the others talking about how the new vamps are different than usual,” Rory said. “Something about how they’ve changed as humans have changed.”
“Evolution of the species. In the same way humans have gotten taller and stronger, so have vampires since we were mortal at one time.” He poured some juice into Aileen’s sippy cup and put it on the high chair’s tray. “Do the boys normally sleep this much?”
“They never got much continuous sleep at their old home. There was always too much going on there. I think they’re making up for it now. Why? You don’t sense anything wrong with them, do you?”
“No. And you would’ve picked up on something before me since you know what’s usual and unusual for them. Let’s do our best to make this a peaceful home for our kids.”
“I don’t think that’ll be a problem,” Rory said. “Just try not to take off to fight mutant newby vamps too often.”
“Cesare doesn’t ask a lot of me,” Samuel said. “He needs someone strong he can trust at this time. And we’re both ex military men and work well together.”
Aileen giggled as she listened to Samuel’s CD of his 1920s album.
“She liked that saxophone part,” Rory said.
THE LAWYER DIDN’T stay long after all the paperwork had been signed, so Samuel and Rory took the kids out to play in the sandbox a while. Samuel helped Aileen build a sand castle and Rory held the twins who were enjoying putting their toes in the moist sand.
“This sand feels great on the feet,” Samuel said. “I expected the sand to be drier and more coarse.”
“Ger told me that Deegan splurged for the high-end sand,” Rory said and laughed. “These kids are going to be so spoiled.”
“They’ll be so loved,” Samuel said, “as kids should be. When they’re old enough they’ll get chores to do. That way they won’t be spoiled.”
“I’m in complete agreement with that.”
“Geez, high-end sand,” Samuel said and laughed.
They’d left the sandbox for the swings where Samuel had Aileen in her toddler swing and Rory had the twins in his lap on the bench swing.
The higher Aileen went in the swing the more she giggled.
“I’ve never seen the kids so happy,” Rory said. “They never had this much peace around them to be able to laugh. I know you have to leave soon, but—”
“I’ll be back. I have four good reasons to come back home.”
The kids fussed when it came time to go inside but they needed to get cleaned up and take their afternoon naps.
“That took longer than usual,” Rory said when he met Samuel out on the porch swing. “Aileen put up a good fight and she cried for you the whole time.”
“That’s why I left the room once the twins were sleeping. Aileen was way too excited. When my old living room furniture comes back I’m going to have it put in storage. You and I need to pick out furniture together that will work for all of us. The old things aren’t right for a home with kids.”
“OK,” Rory said. “You need to do something for me before you go, Samuel, and I won’t take no for an answer.”
Chapter 36
Feelings
“WHAT IS IT?” SAMUEL said.
“Promise me yo
u’ll do as I say first,” Rory said.
“OK, I promise.”
“That was easy. Before you leave I want you to take as much blood from me as you can.”
“I have to admit that’s not what I thought you were going to ask from me. Something entirely different and significantly more fun had popped into my mind.”
“Is there time for that?”
“A little if we combine the two things. I originally planned to drink some blood from the fridge before I left.”
“I may be a new vampire,” Rory said, “but even I can tell the difference between fresh blood and the kind from the refrigerator. Drinking it directly from the source will power you up and make you much stronger.”
“It will, and I promised I’d do it so I shall. You need to promise me you’ll take a nap afterward and when you wake drink a cup of blood to refresh yourself.”
“I promise.”
“Now that we’ve got that covered. The kids are asleep and I could use something else to sustain me while I’m gone.”
“My ass and the rest of me is all yours for the taking,” Rory said.
LATER THAT EVENING, Deegan and Gerard stopped by to visit Rory.
“Good Lord, Son, how much blood did Samuel take from you?” Gerard said.
Deegan was playing dress up with Aileen in the living room, and Gerard and Rory were sitting at the dining room table, each holding one of the twins.
“He took as much as I made him promise to take,” Rory said. “I just had a glass of ice cold blood , it’ll probably take a minute or so to kick in.” He could hear Aileen giggling with Deegan and smiled.
“The ring looks good on your finger,” Gerard said.
“I think so,” Rory said. “Samuel even got down on one knee.”
“Nice. I’m glad for you two.”
“I’ll be glad when Samuel returns home,” Rory said. “It sounds like there’s not a lot anyone really knows about the New Orleans situation.”
“That’s bothered me too,” Gerard said. “And if that girl Janelle has concerns, we all should.” Lochlan, who was being held by Gerard, started waving his arms and babbling gibberish. “The kid here agrees with me.”
