“No, they were just here to help me, that’s all.”
“Help you with what? You these two tied up, these motherfuckers aren’t going anywhere. I tell you what, you get all your little soldiers out of here and I help you finish the job off, sounds good?”
Egypt hesitated for a moment before finally agreeing as she snapped her fingers, silently demanding her soldiers to get out of there.
Glancing at Germs, Trigger-Happy held his arm out to him, silently alerting Germs to hand over his gun.
Germs nodded his head before pulling out his .9mm, which was tucked in the back of his pants, handed it over to him, and made his way out of the deserted apartment.
When it was just Remy, Tyson, Egypt, and Trigger-Happy left into the room, Trigger-Happy smiled mischievously before glancing down at a pain stricken Remy.
Remy, who had blood slowly oozing out of her mouth, moaned in pain as she felt herself slipping in and out of consciousness. The pain from her fresh, deep cuts on her stomach was unbearable as she coughed uncontrollably before spitting out a slew of blood.
Tyson watched helplessly as anger arose from within his chest at the sight of Remy. Shifting his eyes at Egypt, he clenched his jaw and said,
“I swear you’re going to pay for this shit, bitch!”
Laughing hysterically, Egypt tossed her head back before making her way over towards Tyson and holding the blade out towards him. But before she could take another step, Trigger-Happy aggressively grabbed her by her wrists and snatched her away from Tyson.
“What the fuck are you doing?” she yelled.
Pointing the .9mm up at her, Trigger-Happy ignored her as he aimed it at her leg and pulled the trigger.
Wailing out a loud, blood curdling scream, Egypt fell to the ground, clutching her leg.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?! Have you lost your fucking mind?”
Aiming the gun at her head, Trigger-Happy simply said,
“You think you were going to get away with killing my nephew, huh bitch? You’re the reason why all this shit had started, Egypt! What? You think you were going to take over Shemar’s empire, too? You know what? You really must be crazy!”
Staring at the gun, Egypt silently accepted her fate as she evilly said,
“Fuck you and that ugly as nephew of yours! I should’ve pulled the trigger my damn self! And I help Shemar built that damn empire! Shit, I should’ve killed you when I had a chance, too!”
“Yeah, you should’ve killed me, but you didn’t, right?” Trigger-Happy said before pulling the trigger three times.
Tyson and Trigger-Happy watched as all three bullets penetrated Egypt’s head, instantly killing her.
Tyson inhaled deeply before clenching his jaw, silently waiting for Trigger-Happy kill him and Remy, too. But to Tyson’s surprise, he watched as Trigger-Happy tuck the gun back into his pants before glancing at Egypt’s deceased body and making his way towards the stairs.
“You’re not going to do that shit to us, are you?” he boldly asked.
Turning back around to face him, Trigger-Happy walked back up to Tyson and said,
“Why should I? So you’re peoples can come after me and this shit never ends? I’m through with this shit, man. That bitch is the real reason why all this shit started and since she’s dead, so is this whole situation. My brother and nephew are never coming back so why keep going back and forth with each other? Even though I tried to kill Remy at the cemetery there’s no point of trying to kill her again because her mind and soul is probably already dead with all the shit she’s been through in the past couple of months. I’m through with this shit, you can do what the fuck you want but I’m done!”
With that being said, Trigger-Happy walked away with his head held high. Just as he started to walk up the steps, Tyson yelled,
“I feel you but can you help a brother out of this here?”
Exhaling deeply, Trigger-Happy nodded his head before taking his gun out, walked over to Tyson, held the thick chains out before shooting them, and finally freeing him.
Tyson inhaled and exhaled as he tried to find the rhythm of his original breathing again. Walking over to Remy, Trigger-Happy repeated the same steps as he watched Tyson then lift up her blood-drenched body into his arms
Nodding at Trigger-Happy, silently thanking him, he walked out of the abandoned apartment with the love of his life in his arms, finally breaking free from the deadly chains that held them both prison for the past couple of months.
Chapter Sixteen
Ten months Later….
“C’mon Reminisce, push! Push baby! I’m here, I got you!” Tyson yelled as he held Remy’s hand tight.
Remy nodded her head as she closed her eyes tightly, held Tyson’s hand, and tightly clenched her stomach muscles together before pushing with all of her might.
Taking a small cloth from under Remy’s hospital pillow, Tyson gently wiped the sweat from off of her forehead as she continued to yell out in pain yet continued to push. After an hour of consistent pushing, heart wrenching pain, and yelling, Remy finally welcomed a new life into the world.
“Congratulations! What are you going to name her?” the doctor asked before wrapping their daughter into a small blanket and handing her to Remy.
Remy’s inside’s melted as she glanced into her child’s innocent eyes before staring at a smiling Tyson.
“What should we name her, Tyson?”
“How about A’miracle?” Tyson replied before gently caressing his daughter’s cheek.
“A’miracle? I like that, baby. A’miracle Kyle-Vicks,” Remy smiled as she then passed her daughter to Tyson.
Looking down at the small locket charm necklace that adorned her neck, she took it off before opening it up and planting a small kiss on it and turning it towards Tyson and A’miracle and said,
“Jeremiah, look at your little sister! She’s beautiful, isn’t she? Mommy loves both of you!”
Closing the locket and hooking it back around her neck, she watched as Tyson stood to his feet, before handing A’miracle to a nearby doctor.
“Tyson, what are you doing?”
He ignored her as he then reached into his hospital scrub pocket, pulled out a velvet box before getting on his knee on the side of Remy’s hospital bed.
“Reminisce Kyle, I loved you since the ninth grade, girl. We’ve been through hell and back and through it all, you had my back and I had yours. You never judged me as a person and vice versa. We held each other down at our worse and even when I was away from you for years, the true love we have never changed. Remy, I’m not asking you to be my wife because we now have a child together, I’m asking for you to be my wife because I’m deeply in love with you, baby. Reminisce Kyle, the mother of my child and one and only love of my life, will you marry me?”
The small room erupted into a loud cheer as they patted Tyson on his back. Tears blurring her vision, Remy nodded and screamed yes as a slew of tears cascaded down her cheek.
Standing to his feet, he placed the ring on her finger before planting a passionate wet kiss on her lips.
Remy flashed a bright smile as she watched Tyson place his daughter back into his arms and held her close.
Glancing up at the ceiling, Remy mumbled,
“Jeremiah, don’t ever forget that mommy will always love you. Please watch over me and your little sister, baby boy. I love you, my child. Even on my happiest days, I’ll still be thinking of you. I will no longer be down here stressing, baby. May you rest in peace.”
With that, she looked back up at Tyson and watched as he carefully place A’miracle back into her arms and held both of them close.
“I love you, Reminisce!”
“I love you, too, Tyson.”
