“You may kiss the bride,” the minister said with a wink.
Somehow, he’d made it through all the “I do’s,” and he was at his final reward. He leaned over and slanted his head. “I love you, Terri.”
“I love you, too.” She pressed her sweet lips toward him.
The crowd roared its approval and the motorcycles fired up again, gunning their engines.
“And now, I pronounce you, husband and—”
Ryker felt himself being pulled. What the heck? She hadn’t kissed him yet.
“Come on, how many lives do you have?” Terri dragged him, running toward the edge of the cliff.
Before he could stop his legs, they both leaped off the edge. The roar of the waterfall covered his ears, and he was falling into the rainbow reflected from the spray of water.
They landed into a pool behind the waterfall. Ryker clawed his way toward the sunlight and when he emerged from the water, Terri roped him in and latched her lips onto his, kissing him to seal their vows.
Her eyes were as blue as the forget-me-nots, and as the water sprayed over them, Ryker knew this, here, was heaven with the hope of more—forevermore.
