It was a scary abyss. It was something Sierra did not want to face herself because it was dangerous. So dangerous.
Falling in love. She wasn’t ready for that, and he couldn’t be either. She made a slight moan, a tiny sign of protest. If Shadow thought he was in complete control, he would take her again. If not, he’d probably leave her wanting right there on the couch. Even though she had sex with him not too long ago, her body was crying out for him again. If she wanted Shadow, she had to play by his own games.
Damn it, she knew. She fucking knew. Shadow’s words were harsh, and they weren’t lies, but he slipped and his hard game face fell. She knew that he actually cared. As much as he wanted to share that back though, her past associations weren’t to be ignored. Shadow had been betrayed more than once, but it was more than that. He’d seen so many relationships fall because of his business. His mother to his father. His colleagues as he was growing to take the rank of his father. None of them had success. Their women would find out what they did for a living and try to leave them.
Sometimes they snuck away. They weren’t above taking the kids away. Hell, Raine’s wife killed his unborn to win against him even after the divorce. No, no one in the Renegades had sweet families for long. Love didn’t work out. Shadow was easing away, ready to pose some threat to her again, when her last action caught him by surprise. She seemed like the shirt probing had been good, but then she moaned a small protest. Perhaps it wasn’t all over yet?
Maybe she didn’t know. Maybe she was fighting her own body’s lust over him instead. He became rougher and ripped her top buttons, revealing her entire bra to him. She moaned again, a small plea. “You know the words to use. Your body betrays you.”
“You’re so evil,” she said, “I don’t want to.”
“But you can’t control your growing lust.” He grabbed her chin and firmly took a kiss from her. He felt her half rebelling against him, and the other half almost pleading to delve further. Lust had a hold of her, and he would use that to his advantage. Picking her up from the couch, he heard a small whine coming from her. Her body was fighting against her conscience. He headed upstairs to his own bedroom and lied her on his bed. It was a rare occurrence that he wanted an actual woman to share his bed, he often left them on the couch or made them go home. Should he?
Seeing her on his bed though, he knew it couldn’t be any other way. Still, sleeping all cozy like a happy couple couldn’t happen. He strolled over to his end table and pulled out a pair of handcuffs. His bed didn’t have a solid headstand, it had brass bars. He moved her up higher on the bed and held her hands tight in his grip as he undid her binding. He placed her right hand in a cuff first, circled it through the bar above, and clasped it onto her other hand.
She wiggled her arms, not able to move as much as she used to. He heard her breath continue to move faster. “Do I have to be chained up?”
“No, but the only way I’ll have sex with you without some restraint includes having someone watch over us.” He watched her reaction to the news. “No one is here right now, and I just got you. How do I know you aren’t going to try to kill me to get away before we even have our bouncing little baby, huh?” He stuck his hands down her skirt to judge her fright.
She was so fucking wet he could take a bath. Removing his own shirt, he bent down toward her bra. Last time he fucked her quick, afraid of what his feelings might make him do. This time, he was going to taste her. He unhooked her bra from the back, gazing at her breasts. He gently massaged her breasts, making her legs squirm. “Don’t even pretend to fight it, I know you are turned on.”
“Bastard,” she whined, trying to turn her head. “Why?”
“Why does your body like this? I don’t know, it’s a function. Some things just turn us on.” He bent down toward her breasts and delicately tasted her right nipple eliciting a moan. “The body and the mind are two different things.”
“Just take me, don’t make me want you,” she begged as she writhed beneath him. “Please.”
“No. I won’t take you until you are begging for it.” He moved back down toward her breasts, squeezing and tasting them.
“I won’t. I can’t.”
She was already breaking. Moving off of her, he took off her skirt and her wet panties. “You feel how wet your panties were around your legs, don’t you?”
“Okay,” she admitted. “You aren’t going to brag about this, are you?”
“That your body corrupted you into giving in without hesitation?” he asked. “No one needs details, Sierra.” He bent down and kissed her as he positioned himself. With a gentle rocking motion, he heard the clink of the handcuffs move up and down the bars. One day, perhaps he could trust her without the need for handcuffs. By her expression and moans, she had given into temptation. She was enjoying herself as much as he had been. Kissing her throat and working his way up to his lips, he found her mouth just as inviting. There was nothing hesitant hiding in her kiss. He rocked her steadily, the clinging of the handcuffs picking up speed as their melody echoed in the room.
He gripped her hands, and felt her grip his back as she moaned from her orgasm. He clung to her lips as he moved faster and dealt with the waves of his own pleasure riding across him. Afterward, he fell next to her and watched. Her body lied still and she kept her eyes closed but her breathing was hard. After she calmed down, he knew it was getting late, and he had to make a decision. Unlocking the cuffs completely from her, he tossed them off the bed. “I’m tired. If you try to kill me in my sleep, I will kill you instead. Turn to your side.”
Sierra turned. Shadow placed his hands over hers as he spooned her. If she moved, he would feel her that close. He was a light sleeper. “If I sense you are trying anything, I will throw you out of the room to somewhere less comfortable to sleep.”
“Yes, Shadow.” Her breathing was relaxed now, the euphoric feelings settling over on her. Her body arched into his slightly before her breathing leveled off. She had already fallen asleep.
“Oh, Sierra,” he whispered into her ear before he nestled closer, his hands around hers, as they fell asleep. For his first night with her, it wasn’t that bad.
Shadow did wonder how their next time together would go without handcuffs, but a gun trained on her while his men watched over them.
She might prefer the handcuffs.
Then again, she might not.
