“No, I worry for her safety,” He says in a low and cumbersome voice. His hand over his heart, as if the action alone could hold it together.
“Do not worry, dear Marcus. They are both integral to the fate of Heaven.” Hope that I may still survive is strong inside of Marcus, reminding me of the angel I love, but as a brother. The kiss lightens in intensity, and I return to having only my thoughts and emotions.
“Oh Marcus, you lied to them,” I say softly against his lips as he cuts off the memory, not wishing me to see any further into his feelings. Life would be such a breeze if I can accept Marcus as a companion. The thought of doing with Marcus what I did with Levi is an unpleasant thought, and I cannot force my heart to comply. Sibling love is all we will have, though at this moment in time I wish I could give him more. I foolishly tasted pure passion, and it ignites my soul on fire, burning brightly in order to find its twin flame.
“Yes, I did, Celine.” His voice is shaky from emotion.
“I am so sorry I do not feel the same for you.” My heart aches telling him this, but it needs to be said.
“I know, and I know you never will. I have no idea how you and Leviathan will play a part in our future but go forth and know that your grace is lost for good reason. You will be whole and from what I have seen, loved and cherished.” My poor Marcus. Tears gather in my eyes begging to fall.
“Oh Deity, I…” He raises a hand to place against my lips. I inhale his fresh clean sky scent and blink, feeling moisture bead down the curve of my face.
“Please, My Sweetling, remember me for I will no longer remember you.” His voice cracks and I throw my arms around him, holding him tightly to me. I pull back and witness a single tear fall from his cheek. That one drop shredding what was left of the hold I had on these confusing emotions.
Am I to be happy that Levi is mine, as I am his? The hurt for what I am about to lose makes my heart lurch in my chest. My wings, my grace, my brethren, and my dear Marcus will all be gone. Two thousand heavenly years of existence just extinguished.
“Hold my hand, Celine.” I place my hand in his, and we mist together. The Council stands around. Their blinding, bright light obscures their true forms. For the first time, I try to look at them as closely as possible, memorizing the group of beings that will deliver my fate.
“Welcome, Celine.” Their voices harmonious in their synchronization and so lovely, I sigh. “We are giving you a chance to make a choice. One we do not usually give. You can stay here and keep your wings and grace but you must stay away from Leviathan. You will not associate with him in any capacity. We will make it easy on you and remove him from your memory. Or, you can fall.” They really know how to win a girl over about falling, even if they do not know that I have been informed already.
I look to my left as Marcus grips my hand tighter. His eyes hold hope that I may choose to stay here with him. It is false hope. He realizes it, and the light slowly dims from his eyes.
“I choose to fall,” I say with as much authority and strength I can muster, though inside I am in turmoil.
“Then so be it,” They say at once, soft but kind.
Marcus pulls me too him. His arms wrap tightly around me, when as a collective, The Council, beams their light towards me, lifting me up and away from Marcus’s embrace. I feel the tips of my wings start to burn as I float weightlessly in the air. The searing sensation runs the length of the appendages. I scream out in absolute pain. The sound waves vibrate everything around me. My grace is ripped from my body, and I feel the separation as it unwinds itself from its entwinement around my soul. Tears flow in a steady stream as my grace sits floating in front of me, an orb of pure white light. I weakly reach my arm out to touch the warmth radiating from it, when it floats towards The Council. I cannot imagine hurting more than this. How in the three worlds did Jake do this and still be sane. It must be because he has Karina, just like I have Levi. If he still wants me. I look to my left and down to where I know Marcus is standing. His face is blank, though the tracks of tears stain his cheeks. He looks upon me like a stranger when just moments ago I saw into him and his true feelings for me. I am no more. I am no longer his Sweetling. I am no one.
I begin to cry again when the clouds open and I fall through the veil. I flail trying to reach with my arms and hands for home, a home that I may no longer call my own. I’ve no idea what is in store for me. All I know is Levi is important to Heaven for whatever reason, and that I will be the one to help make this future a reality. Should he choose me…

Chapter One
The wind blew like Hell’s breath in his face. The heat was overpowering and he no longer had the strength to stand. He would have wept, with his face pressed to the earth, but he was too dehydrated for tears. And then he felt it, a slight drop in temperature, accompanied by a sweet smell to the blistering air. Rain was coming. He rolled face up to look at the storm and laughed as it poured down, washing over him like a blessing, erasing the soot and smell of brimstone. He was saved, and closed his eyes with a sigh of relief. At long last, Asmodeus had been summoned.
* * *
Selina fell back; her naked ass hit the dirt.
“What the fuck?” she said softly
At the height of her ritual he had begun to appear. When it first happened she thought the gorgeous, naked man in the fire wasn’t real, but a hint of what was to come in her dreams. After all, she was performing a spell to fulfill her deepest desires. His body pretty much covered everything she had in mind.
It didn’t take long for her to realize he was not a figment of her imagination. This man was not only inside the fire, he was rising from beneath it, clawing his way upward. When he collapsed, half his body remained inside the blaze, and yet he appeared untouched by the flames.
Selina spoke the last words of the spell and felt the temperature drop. She waited, not daring to move as she looked down at his perfection. The man rolled to his back. When he moved, thunder rumbled overhead, the sound reverberating through her body. This is what caused her to stumble. Now he lay there, laughing as the rain washed over them.
Even though the fire was being quenched by the rain, his body continued to glow as if he burned from within. Rain sizzled against the pine logs, all that remained of the roaring blaze.
Selina moved closer to get a better look at him. Long, black hair covered half his face. He was a vision of masculine perfection. From his full lips to his long sinewy legs, she couldn’t look away. Selina watched his chest rise and fall for several heartbeats before working up the courage to touch him.
The instant her hand touched his chest a jolt of power rushed through her. His eyes flew open and she gasped. She wasn’t startled by the sudden movement, but the color of his eyes. Amber, flecked with gold. Oh, and they glowed. In the semi-darkness of the woods, this was even more obvious and more than a little bit frightening.
“Who are you?” she asked.
“I am Asmodeus, and I have answered your summons.”
He sat up and rain poured over the ridges and valleys of his upper body.
“Wow,” she said, entranced by the sight. “But I thought that.” Selina paused to catch her breath; her heart was racing. “I mean, I asked for —”
“This,” he interrupted.
Asmodeus touched her face and she trembled. Pleasure more intense than anything she had felt before coursed through her veins. Asmodeus moved closer. His breath was a warm promise against her skin.
“You asked for the fulfillment of your deepest desires. I can give you all that you long for, and more.”
His kiss was warm and tender, and it evoked something within her she had not expected. Feelings. She felt safe, wanted and … appreciated. He not only wanted her, but was glad to be with her. He wanted this more than she did. She could feel all these things, and knew the certainty of it through his touch.
He pull
ed her close and Selina surrendered. She asked for this, and she would damn well enjoy it. One moment she was on the ground, the next he was carrying her away from the remains of the fire. The rain came down, hard and fast, washing away all traces of dirt and ash.
He put her down on the grass, just inside the circle she’d cast. The fact that he didn’t leave the circle proved to her that this was all part of the spell. She would take what she needed from him and then he would be gone. It was the perfect arrangement. If a demon answered a witch’s call, he consented to this. The summoning spell was very specific. There would be no hurt feelings, no reason to feel guilty in the morning. That thought alone excited her even more. Selina had never done anything purely selfish in her life, and now she had her chance.
Hunger was evident in his expression as his amber gaze roamed over her. Selina touched the charm that hung from her necklace. The Key of Solomon insured that no lesser demon could harm her, and it was the only thing she wore.
Asmodeus watched her touch the charm and the slight smile that curved his lips was wicked.
“You are afraid of demons, and yet you summon one of your own.”
His voice was deep and rough. The sound of it made her ache with anticipation.
“Are you complaining?” she challenged.
“No. But I have no desire to touch a woman who fears me. Unless I am mistaken, you did summon me to touch you?”
“Absolutely.”
“I won’t eat you,” he teased.
“What if that happens to be one of the desires I’d like you to satisfy?”
He made a sound somewhere between a growl and a moan. “You and I are going to get along very well.”
His smile was slow and deliberate as he crawled over her. Asmodeus moved with grace any cat would envy. Thunder rumbled in the distance as Selina looked down at him. His face was inches from her breasts, his long hair tickling across her skin.
With the fire completely out, and the storm overhead, visibility was at times limited. However, in that moment, lightning flashed and gave her another really good look at him. Nothing could have prepared her for the sight. Water poured down his body, washing over each curve as if the rain couldn’t resist him either. Dark strands of hair clung to his throat and shoulders, making the contrast of his skin seem pale. He looked fierce and dangerous, and she wanted him more than she’d ever wanted anyone before.
He moved from her breasts to her stomach and back again, his face barely an inch away, his breath warm against her skin. Between the flashes of lightning she watched the muscles of his arms flex with every subtle movement. He truly was a work of art.
“I’m going to ask you a question,” he said. “And if you lie to me, I can smell it.”
“You can smell a lie?”
“Now that I have your scent, yes.” He said this as if it were completely normal.
“You are in complete control of me here, in this circle. I can tell this is your first time summoning a desire demon. I assure you, you will come to no harm.”
His words were very touching under the circumstances. “That’s kind of you. I suppose I didn’t expect conversation.”
Asmodeus laughed again and this time so did she.
“Do I frighten you still?” he asked, a trace of growl in his voice.
“A little bit.”
He leaned closer, his face just above hers. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply as they remained face to face. Selina wondered if he was memorizing her scent. She found the thought both strange and arousing.
“You want me,” he said. “I can smell your desire, hear your heart fluttering. And yet you are still frightened.”
“Not enough to keep me from doing this.”
She pulled him to her and the deep rumble of his laughter thrilled her. “If you’re waiting for me to take control, fine,” she teased. “I didn’t summon you for conversation.”
“Yet you keep talking.”
His eyes flashed, issuing a fiery challenge. That was all it took for Selina to kiss him.
Whatever fire ran through his body made his lips warmer than anything she’d ever felt. She was already growing cold from the rain and as he covered her body with his, she sighed, melting against his warmth.
Asmodeus was right when he said she wanted him. Selina had summoned him for a reason. Now she needed to let go and enjoy the product of a spell well cast.
It was clear that the demon was much larger than her, even though she’d only seen him standing for a moment. He cradled her head in his hands, supporting his weight with his arms. Selina had expected unbridled lust, not sensitivity.
“You asked for your deepest desires to be fulfilled,” he said softly as he kissed her throat. “Remember?”
She wasn’t sure if he was reading her mind or not; however, what he said reminded her of the exact wording of the spell. “I summon you, O’ Demon of Desire. Come forth to me now by the light of my fire. Bring to me my deepest desire.” So many nights she had longed for someone to make love to her, not simply fuck her brains out. Yes, she was lonely, and she was sure as hell horny. Maybe some of that longing had come through in the spell.
He ran one hand down her side, cupping her hip as his teeth grazed her earlobe. She arched against him, hungry for the feel of his skin against hers. Her need for him was so sharp that her pussy ached
He pulled back and she knew he was going to kiss her again. Selina felt her lips parting in anticipation as she wrapped her arms around him. The demon’s gentle kisses were a relief from so many lonely nights
Asmodeus pulled back to look down at her once more and her breath caught. His hair fell forward framing his face, his amber eyes burned in the darkness. The fire she saw there might consume her, but she no longer cared.
He kissed her again and she opened to him, letting him plunge his tongue inside her mouth. She wanted to lose herself in his kiss, and in the hard flesh pressed against her body. He moved lower, his lips burning wherever they touched, and when he reached her nipple she almost came. He drew the flesh into his mouth, sucking it, flicking the peak with his tongue.
He moved higher, up her throat, licking the rain from her flesh as he went. She shivered, but when he pulled her earlobe into his mouth she screamed. Her pussy throbbed and she arched against him.
He pressed his cock against her thigh and she writhed beneath him. What felt like fangs grazed her earlobe and Selina screamed so loud she startled herself.
“It’s all right,” he said, pulling back with a smile. “I won’t actually bite unless you ask me to.”
“Damn, that’s sexy,” she said, breathing hard.
His long, dark hair slid over her body as his kisses trailed lower once more. She arched off the ground, her heart pounding with anticipation.
“Tell me what you want me to do,” he said.
“I want you to eat my pussy.”
The image of his dark head between her thighs would be forever burned into her mind. He pulled the soft flesh into his mouth, sucking at her clit, moaning as he tugged harder, bringing her closer and closer to orgasm.
Naturally, Selina had had oral sex before. But none of her previous partners were this good at it. Asmodeus was nothing if not thorough.
His broad shoulders were the only thing that kept her legs from clamping shut as she trembled. He slid one long finger inside her pussy, moaning once more as he tugged her clit into his mouth. That was all it took. Her back arched off the ground as she came. The vibration of his growl echoed through her body as he held her tight. Her muscles contracted hard around his finger as she ground her pussy into his face, aching with need for his next touch.
His long hair fell in wet, silken waves around his face and shoulders as he looked down at her and his eyes shown like fire in the night.
“Bend over.”
As the one who summoned him, she could refuse any command Asmodeus gave. But she wanted everything he had to offer, however he chose to give it to her. With barely a pause, Se
lina flipped over.
When he pressed his body against the back of hers, wrapping himself around her, she moaned. He turned her head to the side and kissed her. She arched back, pushing her ass into his rock hard cock. He took her ass in his hands, squeezing and spreading her open. She started to move her legs and he commanded softly, “No. Keep them closed.”
He licked her pussy from behind, slipping his tongue between her legs and making her scream again. Selina arched back as much as she could in order for him to reach her better. It felt too good to hold still. She wriggled against him, hungering for more.
He ran his cock between her still closed legs, rubbing back and forth over her soaking pussy.
“Bite me,” she said, feeling impulsive.
Selina wasn’t sure why she made this request, perhaps because it was something she had never experienced before. Who better to experiment with?
“As you wish.”
She could feel his teeth against the back of her neck, biting just hard enough to pinch, but not penetrate her skin. She shivered as he bit harder, entering her body at the same time. Her pussy stretched so far she thought he might split her in two.
She moaned, arching back against him, driving his throbbing cock deeper inside of her.
“I don’t want to hurt you,” he insisted.
When he hesitated she said, “I want it to hurt a little.”
Her words seemed to unleash something within him. His voice was soft against her ear, whispering wicked things. Much of what he said was in a language she did not understand, but it turned her on just the same. He moved faster and she came again. Every thrust of his hips seemed to intensify her orgasm. Her pussy clenched so tight around him she was surprised that he could move at all, let alone pick up the pace.
When Asmodeus put his knee between her thighs and finally spread them wide, she came again. He bent over her; one arm cradled her breasts while his other hand slid between her legs. The moment he touched her clit she jumped.
