I nod as the heat of him soaks into my skin. My nipples are hard against his chest, and it sends a tingle all the way to my toes. As if I’m under a spell, I can’t help myself. I tug on his button-up shirt with enough force to pop two buttons and lean in to lick the moisture on his chest. He moans softly as he threads his fingers though my hair, and I move my way up his neck. The flavor of his skin tantalizes my tongue. Before I take his mouth I gaze into Caiden’s eyes and think about how each time I do, it’s as if I’m losing a piece of my soul, just the way Eliza said. But loss is the wrong word. It’s a piece I’m willing to give, and I don’t stop to wonder how or why it’s happening before I kiss him.
His lips are soft at first as they nibble gently, but when Caiden lets out a low moan his mouth becomes firm and he gives me the kind of kiss I need. The kind of kiss that makes me drunk with desire. So much so, that I tear at my wet clothing and strip off my dress. We’re the only two people who stayed out in the pouring rain, and I step back to let him view me in my bra and panties.
He lets out a low noise before he says, “My god you’re beautiful, but you need to get dressed again. We can’t do this yet.”
“We can do what I have in mind.” I give him a mischievous grin as I grab his waistband and tug him toward me. The button of his shorts is warm in my fingers as I unfasten it, and he lets out a hiss when I lower his zipper. I slide my hands into the back of his pants, and his bottom is firm under my touch as I squeeze. “We’re allowed to kiss. And that’s what I’m going to do.”
I move to peel Caiden’s soaked shirt from his body. His stomach quivers, and I lean in to flutter kisses down to his belly. When I get to the trail of hair below his navel I notice the firm thick length of him presenting itself before me. “Mandy--”
“Shhh, I’m only kissing.”
His wet shorts stick to his hips as I shove them down, and they thud as they fall to his feet in a puddle. “Just kissing?” Caiden asks in a small voice that makes me wonder if he’s asking himself or me. He shakes his head. “Stop.”
“That sounds like an order.” I drag my tongue up the length of his cock, and the skin is taught and smooth under it as his whole body quivers in response. “You know how I feel about those.”
He moans what might be the word yes as he leans back against the tree behind him. The ground is hard under my knees as I work on driving Caiden mad. I swirl my tongue over the head of his dick to taste the salty bead of cum before I take as much of him as I can into my mouth. I don’t give him the opportunity to protest as I work him over with my hands and mouth.
Caiden moans as I gaze up, and he traps me in his stare as he mumbles, “Just kissing,” before he lets out a small cry. His sounds make me suck harder as I slide a firm grip up and down his shaft to give him pleasure, and it isn’t long before he climaxes.
Caiden sinks to the ground as he sighs, and he grabs me by the arms before he crushes me with a kiss. He maneuvers me so I’m lying on the damp blanket, “Now you will listen to me.” I nod as he begins to show me his version of kissing. He stops at my bra. “I like how this puts you on display like the bakery we saw. It’s like a treat just for me.”
I chuckle at the vision of my breasts being cupcakes as Caiden lavishes them with his tongue. When I begin to make small sounds in response he moves down my belly and hooks his fingers into my panties. The silky fabric scrapes against my skin as he removes them to reveal me. Once he manages to peel them off my legs Caiden’s touch is light as he spreads my thighs slowly. He strokes my sensitive slit with a finger making me flinch, and then puts the digit in his mouth. He waggles his eyebrows at me. “This earth girl definitely tastes better than anything I’ve ever had.”
“Even bacon?”
Caiden lets out a low growl before he moves between my legs and begins to lap at me in reply. The blanket wads up in my hands as I clutch at it, and I buck up my hips when he adds his hand to his ministrations. It isn’t long before I’m moaning, and I let myself lose control. As my orgasm begins to take hold Caiden touches me someplace deep inside my core. Light flashes behind my eyelids as my ecstasy reaches beyond anything I’ve ever known, and I may actually rocket to the moon as I shatter.
“Oh my god,” I say when I can speak again. Caiden kisses his way slowly back to my mouth making my skin feel as if it’s lit on fire from the contact, and he lingers at my lips to let me taste the combination of us as we entwine our limbs in a wet embrace.
Rain continues to fall on us, and it would be cold for me if Caiden weren’t wrapped around me like a blanket. His teeth scrape over my earlobe as he nips at it, and he says, “We do kissing very well. Imagine what this will be like when we can do more.”
I sigh as my insides quiver thinking about what he would feel like inside me. An aftershock makes me shudder, but then reality hits too. “We probably shouldn’t have done that.”
His breath is hot against my skin as he sighs. ““No. But I’m really glad we did. I knew we’d be compatible physically.”
I turn so I can look into his eyes, and my heart swells with emotions that snuck up on me. Could I be falling--? No. I don’t do love. But I am supposed to spend the rest of my life with this man. I place a palm on his cheek, and he leans into it as I say, “I want to try for us to be emotionally compatible too. I want this, Caiden.”
“Me too, Mandy. When I signed up to come to Earth I never expected someone would want me.”
“Why?”
“It was so quick. So many men had already registered I was sure I’d never get my earth girl, but it happened while I was still in the office.”
“My friend Lexi is working on the project and when she was showing it to me with my profile she created I--” I close my eyes for a second and recall pushing the submit button. I remember how it was almost as if I was compelled to do it. “Well. First I rewrote your profile since they’d done a terrible job with it. And then it was the strangest thing, it felt as if you were holding me, and I wanted to be with you so badly as I stared at your image. I couldn’t help myself, and I pushed submit.”
Caiden smiles. “You were who I was touching. I was fantasizing about my earth girl.”
“What?” I think about the warm sensation of his arms wrapping around me, and I whisper, “That was you.”
“You felt it all the way here on Earth?”
I nod as Caiden smiles. The wet heat of his mouth between my legs makes me gasp. And I stare at his face in front of me. “Did you just--?”
“I did.”
“Wait.” My grin covers my face as I get an idea. “Can you feel it when you touch me with your mind too?”
He nods. I jump up to my feet and tug at Caiden to join me.
“What are you thinking?” asks Caiden.
“I think we need to try out what else you can do that’s in our minds.”
Caiden hands me my wet dress, and it’s cool in my fingers.
“No.” Caiden’s voice is firm. “We can’t. On my planet that’s sex.” Caiden buttons his shorts as I fiddle with the wet fabric that sticks to my skin as I try to put on my dress.
I sigh as Caiden assists me. “You’re on Earth. Here, fantasizing isn’t real sex.”
“It’s not?”
“Nope. We can’t feel it the way you do, so it’s just wishful thinking. And if it’s between two people that are together it’s sexy as hell. There’s no harm in that.”
Caiden frowns. “I don’t think it’s a good idea.”
“I do.” A cool breeze blows against my wet clothing, and I shiver, but it’s not from a chill. It’s from the anticipation of what’s going to happen once we get home.
Chapter 8
“You’re not listening,” says Caiden as he grips my wrists to keep me from peeling off his towel. We both took hot showers when we returned from the park. “This is definitely more than kissing, and I could get sent back.”
I’m in a thin silk robe I know leaves little to the imagination as it hugs my curves. “How is
anyone going to find out? It’s not like my government had time to bug my apartment or anything.”
“Maybe they did when we were at our picnic.”
The smooth fabric of my robe’s tie slips through my hand as I undo it. “You’re such a rule follower they probably aren’t worried.” I shrug out of the garment, and it slithers down to my feet as Caiden’s chest puffs up with a sharp inhale. “But if you’d like to search for them....”
Caiden groans. “You’re going to be the death of me,” He drops his towel too.
I sashay my way to the bed with Caiden close at my heels. The mattress sinks as I sit and then crawl back to lean up on my elbows. “How should we do this?”
Caiden scans my prone body and blows out a mouthful of air. I let out a sigh when he traces an imaginary finger down over my breast. But the crack of what sounds like lightning followed by a cloud of smoke makes me sit up in shock.
The gray mist clears to reveal an older man dressed in the skin-tight clothing of Eroscia with a serious look on his face. He says something I can’t understand nor say. It makes Caiden grab his towel and reply in the same language as he tosses it to me so I can cover up. I catch it midair, and while I can’t figure out the words I sure get the meaning. The angry tone makes me think my alien is in trouble, and what I was trying to get him to do is likely the reason.
“Hey!” The towel is damp on my skin as I clutch it to my chest and scramble up to my knees. “Whatever you’re mad about, it was my fault.”
Metal clicks as what appears to be handcuffs made of a white metal magically snap shut on Caiden’s wrists.
“Hang on a minute, this--” I say before Caiden cuts me off.
“I take full responsibility, sir. She’s just an earth girl who doesn’t know any better.”
My blood begins to boil and I huff, because I can’t believe he just called me stupid. “I’m the one that pushed you into this, Caiden.”
He shakes his head a little, but I ignore his warning as I wrap the towel around my chest and tuck the end under to make it stay. “And of course I knew better.”
“You did?” asks the older man.
A little voice in my head warns me it’s time to shut up, but I don’t listen. “Yes, I did. But it’s a stupid rule. I’m not marrying some guy before I know if he’s any good in bed.”
Strong invisible hands grip my arms, and I stiffen before another pair of handcuffs snap tight around my wrists. “What do you--”
“Silence!” barks out the older man. I’m yanked to my feet by the invisible force and then placed next to Caiden.
The wood floor is cold and hard under my feet as my lower lip begins to tremble with the urge to cry. Sharp pain shoots through it when I bite to keep my tears at bay. Can aliens really arrest me on Earth? Visions of being strapped to a table as needles probe my eyes and make me scream in pain flash in my head. My throat is thick as I gaze at Caiden. Something flickers in his eyes and he says, “Sir. If I may.”
The older man says, “Yes.”
“Mandy is afraid and doesn’t know what’s happening to her.”
The man’s eyes are ice blue and chilling when I look at him. He says, “You will be brought to our prison to be held until our leaders work out your punishment.”
The vision of hard metal bunks and a toilet in a small cell make the floodgates on my tears open up, and I can’t help the sob that comes out. The older man sighs, and his voice softens. “Our prison isn’t nearly as awful as yours are. You won’t be hurt. While this isn’t a serious offense, it’s still something we can’t let go, my dear.”
I swallow down my crying and sniff as I nod in acknowledgment.
The man says, “Someone on earth should be aware of what’s happening. Who should I contact?”
I consider my options to sort out who would be best for the situation before the very friend that got me into this mess pops into my mind. “Lexi Boynton, please.”
The old man nods once before the air around me and Caiden gets thick like fog. My stomach lurches with the sensation of falling. Within seconds I land in a surprisingly soft manner, and a warm surface is under my feet as heat surrounds me. When the mist clears I notice how heavy the air feels and inhale deeply to fill my lungs with oxygen as sweat begins to slick my body with a thin sheen.
I discover Caiden is across from me, and we’re both in a small room with transparent walls. He says, “Decontamination chamber.” He winks at me when my towel is stripped from my body, and I wonder if he did it as I notice his semi-aroused state.
When water blasts at me with what feels like the force of a power washer I scream, and twist and turn as if I can avoid the stinging pain. At the point I’m sure a layer of skin has been peeled away, the spray stops and a door swishes open. Caiden steps into another room so I follow, and when we’re enclosed a strong wind blows as if we’re in a car wash dry cycle. When it stops I ask, “Do they do this to you often?”
“Only when we return to Eroscia from another planet.” He leads us to the next chamber where clothing is set out, and I find a pair of pants that are like running tights and a form-fitting shirt. Even after I dress I feel naked, because no underwear was included and the clothing leaves little to the imagination.
I gaze at the alien across from me as my stomach knots up with nerves. “Caiden?”
He offers me a half smile as the sensation of his finger stroking my cheek gives me a small amount of comfort. “You’ll be fine. Although the food here is really awful.”
“What’s going to happen to me?”
He shrugs. “My guess is they’ll keep you for a little while and then send you back to your planet.”
“And what about you?”
His eyes darken with sadness. “I’ll go back to my boring life and kick myself for losing my earth girl.”
His words do little to make me feel better. Instead the weight of sorrow is on my shoulders too as I realize this might be the last time I’ll ever see him. While I’ve only known Caiden for two days, my attachment feels like years. And my heart feels as if it’s being squeezed too hard. “I’m so sorry, Caiden.”
I step forward in a rush before he can possibly get away and grab onto his shoulders to pull him down for a kiss. The fabric of his shirt is slick in my fingers as I clutch at it and pour myself into our connection with the hope it can keep him from leaving me forever. Caiden drinks me in as if he’s feeling the same way.
A female clearing her throat makes me stop, and I take in a tall, thin woman with facial features that would make a fashion model jealous. She scans my body with her gaze, and I cringe at the scrutiny. “Very nice.” When the woman gets to my eyes she says, “Call me Seline, I’m in charge of your case.” She continues in the Eroscian language before saying in English, “I see your earth match was a good one.”
Caiden says, “Yes ma’am.” He grabs my hand and gazes at me. He says, “I’m in love with her.”
My heart nearly bursts with joy at his statement. And I let a little more of my soul slip into the pools of his blue eyes. I realize that when I do, I seem to fill with a glow that might be part of Caiden in return. A rush of happiness fills me and pushes my fear away. I smile back at him.
“Well,” says the woman. “That explains why you couldn’t keep you hands to yourself, young man. But we have rules for a reason, and the two of you must deal with the consequences.”
I ask, “What exactly are the consequences?”
The woman scans my body again as if I’m a specimen. “Our council has decided on a brief prison term, and you will marry and remain on this planet. You will be the first test subject in the study of Earth and Eroscia breeding.”
Adrenaline spikes in my bloodstream and the urge to run is strong. “Breeding?”
“To bear children,” the woman says patiently as if I don’t understand the word.
I’m about to protest but an invisible hand covers my mouth, and I turn to Caiden to see his warning glare. I bite my lip and nod at the wo
man instead. But my heartbeat quickens with panic as I think about life on a strange planet as a test subject for aliens. They want me to pump out babies, and bile rises in my throat as I imagine being pregnant for the next two decades. And my children--I don’t want them to live in captivity like lab rats.
Caiden squeezes my hand and whispers. “I don’t regret what we did one bit.”
But I do, and I wonder if there’s any way out.
Chapter 9
The door of my cell barely clicks when it shuts behind the guard. Even the lock turning is a soft sound, and I check out my new residence for the next thirty days. As part of our sentence Caiden and I are required to work for the scientists that will be studying us, and we cannot leave the lab. Although Caiden assured me I won’t be missing much, because life on Eroscia isn’t much better than the lab.
I discover the bed is made up with white linens, and the comforter looks as plush as those in a high-end hotel. There’s a desk with a laptop computer and a partition that hides the toilet from view. The old man that arrested Caiden and me was right; this is not an earth prison at all. My feet tap lightly on the floor of the nearly colorless room as I walk over to the blue buttons on the wall where I can order food and water. My fingernail clicks on the one for a beverage and within seconds a small door opens on the machine, and a cup is extended. It hovers in the air in front of me before I take it. It occurs to me the Eroscian’s telekinetic ability is a handy way to keep safe from dangerous criminals.
I recall how Caiden said he loved me and sigh. I’m not sure if I’ve fallen in love with my alien match as quickly, but my feelings for him are strong. I wonder if they’re going to be enough to sustain me through a lifetime on a strange planet. Cool liquid soothes my dry throat as I sip on water. But marrying Caiden is the least of my worries. I’m more concerned about being a science project for breeding. While having children is something I’ve considered, I thought I could hold off on the decision for a few more years. Added to that is the fact I’m never going to return to Earth.
