Envisioned (Immortal Chronicles Book 3) Page 25

Darcie shook her head. It wasn’t their fault. The Alliance was betrayed by Henry, Faine, and, to some extent, Bella. No one else was responsible for what happened to her.

“I’ll be okay,” she replied. “But we need to get back to Greece. The Elder said his magic would wear off soon.”

Alexander’s back straightened. “The Elder helped you? The one who performed the ceremony?”

She nodded. “Yes, but he helped me escape before the bonding ceremony. But that will only matter if we actually get out of here in time.”

“Understood.” Alexander tightened his grip. “Let’s go. But just so you know, we aren’t going to Greece. With Henry turning against us, Des and I both agree we don’t think the mansion is safe anymore.”

The information stunned Darcie. “Then where are we going?”

The scenery began to fade out as Alexander answered, “Somewhere no one can find you, and you can get those astonishing powers under control.”

“Then,” he added as he took in her forlorn look. “We will make Adir pay for all he has done.”

  To be continued.

Ever wonder what happened between Eshe and Lome when they first met?
