Howard Wallace, P.I. Page 17

“That our new slogan?”

“Would you prefer ‘we hide in closets, so you don’t have to’?” Ivy tapped her chin. “Or ‘Stealth, surveillance, and secrecy are our guarantee’? I actually like that one. That’s a serious suggestion.”

We’d work on it. But a new slogan for a new team sounded good.

Even if it meant new sticky notes.

  Acknowledgments

A huge amount of people had a hand in Howard Wallace, P.I. becoming a real, live book. I’ve been lucky to work with some of the kindest, most supportive, and talented folks. Howard and I wouldn’t be here without them. Get your cheers ready!

To my phenomenal agent, Molly Ker Hawn: Thank you for choosing to work your special brand of smart, fierce, and funny magic with me. You’re amazing, and I’m forever grateful to have you in my corner.

To my delightful editor, Christina Pulles: Working with you has been everything I hoped for and more. It’s been a pleasure to be partnered up with such a fun, smart, and kind individual. Thank you for picking me and Howard!

Thank you to everyone at Kick-Butt Kidlit, the Sweet Sixteens, and Pitch Wars for widening my circle with your friendship and camaraderie.

To the marvelous Sarah LaPolla: Thank you for being so kind to a petrified newbie author at her first conference. Your feedback and encouragement was appreciated beyond measure.
