This book takes place from Monday, March 7, 1955, through Thursday, Thursday, March 31, 1955.
The primary characters are all fictional. In this particular novel, for a change, the fictional characters have no direct interactions with any historical persons, although a handful were mentioned from a distance.
In particular, I want to point out that Theodore "Teddy" Higginbotham, portrayed as the United States Attorney in San Francisco in March of 1955, is a wholly fictional person and does not resemble anyone I have known.
