All of You (A Rebel Desire Novel Book 3) Page 26

by Fabiola Francisco

I kick a rock with the toe of my boot and fling my overnight bag over my shoulder. Looking to my left, I see my dad shoveling shavings into a stall. Wasn’t too long ago I was out there helping him.

I shake my head and walk back into the house, whispers coming from the kitchen. “I can hear y’all,” I holler and make my way to my old room, assuming my bed is still there for me to sleep in.

Dropping my bag on the bed with the same plaid comforter as when I was younger, I look at the medals hanging from the hooks. The one picture I have framed mocks me from the dresser. I put it face down and head back into the kitchen.

Writing a book can be a lonely process, but I’m so blessed that I have found people to join me on this journey that are kind-hearted and supportive.

Thank you to my readers, who have taken a chance on me and my writing and supported me along this journey. With each book I write, I tell you the same thing—without you, this would be an empty journey. I can write a million words, but if no one reads them, my purpose is futile. I hope you read these words, take from them what you need, and love the story as much as I do.

To my parents, thank you for understanding the need to feed this passion. Every time I release a book, my dad asks me for a paperback. He refuses it as a gift, and makes sure he (aka my mom) pays me for it. It was time I dedicated them a book. Thank you for always supporting me. It took me a while to see it, but it’s clear now.

I am grateful to work with such an amazing team. Robin Bateman, thank you for taking the time to edit and make this book perfect for the world. I love your love of sangria. Amy Queau, your design skills astound me. You got me vision, and made it possible with this cover. Thank you! Tami Norman, working with you is a genuine pleasure. Thank you, thank you for always making the inside of my books beautiful.

Claire and Wendy from Bare Naked Words, I’m so glad I found you. You ladies are so helpful and keep me sane during a stressful time. I can always count on you, and that means so much to me.

My #SoapyThighsForLife girls—Rachel and Christy, no matter how many books we write, no matter what happens in the book world, I know I can always count on you. That’s rare, and I’m so very grateful we have each other.

Joy, girl, you held my hand while writing this book. I talked your ear off while trying to get this story just right, and you listened and offered your best feedback. Thank you! I don’t say it enough. You finally get to read the story you’ve waited so patiently for.

Veronica and Miriam, you pull through each time. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to read my books before everyone else, give me input, and support me throughout this journey. You’ve been with me from the beginning, not just with the books, but as friends.

Amber G, thank you for your guidance and help. I am so appreciative of your advice and tips.

To the After Hours Book House authors, thank you for your continuous support. We have a great group of strong women, who write badass books. I’m glad we have each other.

A huge thank you to my Fab Readers! You are a bright light in this career. Greeting you each morning and chatting with you makes my day. We have a true community thanks to you showing up and being true. Your support means the world to me.

Thank you to my review team for not only accepting to read my books, but also offer advice and input when I need it. Your motivation, love, and guidance matter.

Jennifer and Alicia, you ladies are always around, supporting me and encouraging me. I can’t thank you enough for that.

To the authors and bloggers that unconditionally support me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Working together, lifting each other, is what makes this book world (and the entire world) a better place. Kindness goes a long way.

Fabiola Francisco loves the simplicity—and kick—of scotch on the rocks. She follows Hemingway’s philosophy—write drunk, edit sober. She writes women’s fiction and contemporary romance, dipping her pen into new adult and young adult. Her moods guide her writing, taking her anywhere from sassy and sexy romances to dark and emotion-filled love stories.

Writing has always been a part of her life, penning her own life struggles as a form of therapy through poetry. She still stays true to her first love, poems, while weaving longer stories with strong heroines and honest heroes. She aims to get readers thinking about life and love while experiencing her characters’ journeys.

She is continuously creating stories as she daydreams. Her other loves are country music, exploring the outdoors, and reading.
