What?
“What?” Paige gasped. “No condom?”
Colt reached up and took hold of her chin. “Are we safe, darlin’?”
She nodded after a second. “Yeah, I’m on the Pill and I’m clean.”
“So are we. Drake?”
“Yeah,” Drake rasped. He couldn’t say more.
“We won’t come inside you. Just wanna fuck you bare.”
“Okay.” She glanced back at Drake, nodded. “Okay.”
Drake hauled in a breath and waited until Colt had retreated to shed his condom. Then he sank back into Paige’s pussy. Freaking hell, she grasped him so perfectly. Now he could feel every bit of her flesh. Soaked and swollen and his.
Theirs.
He prayed he could hang on for more than two thrusts. Prayed this night wouldn’t screw them all up irreversibly.
* * *
Watching his best friend fuck Paige was the sweetest kind of torture.
She was rocking back and forward on top of Colt, inadvertently grinding against his pulsing dick with every movement. The heels of her hands dug welts on his belly as she used him for leverage, and her tits bounced with every gyration. Her long hair tickled him as she dropped down low to take every one of Drake’s punishing thrusts, and fuck if her tight nipples didn’t feel like nails tripping over the nerve endings in his chest.
He was so damn close to coming, and he wasn’t quite ready yet.
“You two better speed things up,” he managed, fisting her hair to drag her head up. He slanted his mouth over hers, plunging his tongue between her lips without finesse. He didn’t have any left. All he could think about was his cock aching like hell between her sexy thighs. Drake had positioned her so she rubbed her wet pussy over his dick when she slid forward, which of course meant he felt Drake’s steel pike more often than not too.
And that was turning him on almost as much as the slick slide of Paige’s pussy over his burning flesh.
He didn’t know what was going on with him, and to be honest, he didn’t care. He wasn’t going to overanalyze it. They were with Paige, and this was about making her feel good. It was about so much more than them.
Paige bit his lower lip as she hit another peak. He tasted blood and reached up to grasp her pink-tipped tits, squeezing them hard while she broke apart. And the trickle of arousal against his cock became a damn gush.
Shit, Drake had about two freaking seconds.
“Fuck.” Drake’s shout broke the still night as he yanked himself back. The splash against her backside dripped down onto Colt’s inner legs and that was all it took.
He wasn’t just coming. He might be dying.
Letting out an animalistic grunt, he yanked Paige’s hips up and drove into her to the hilt, managing one wild thrust before he reared back and tore off the condom, his release drenching her belly and soft, swollen breasts. She moaned and ducked her head, her lips sliding over his while his hips heaved. She kissed him gently, easing his way through the orgasm that wrung him out and left him limp. He dropped to the blanket and she followed, pressing kisses along his jaw and throat, whispering quiet words of comfort he didn’t fully understand.
But he wrapped his arm around her neck and held on just the same.
He felt rather than saw Drake fall to the blanket beside him. They were both panting like runners.
After a moment, she rolled off Colt and slid on top of Drake, burying her hands in his hair as they kissed. Colt turned to watch, swallowing at the sight of Drake’s big hand tenderly rubbing her back.
This wasn’t just fucking. Not even close.
“I think we need to rinse off,” Colt said suddenly, getting to his feet. The silence between them was comfortable, but the thoughts spinning through his head weren’t. They shouldn’t be there so soon after an orgasm like the one he’d just had, so he’d make them go away in whatever way necessary.
“But—” Paige squealed as Colt bent and scooped her up, racing with her to the water’s edge.
“Plug your nose,” he warned, jumping with her into the deeper part of the watering hole.
“Oh my God.” She screeched and clung to him, laughing. “It is deep enough to swim in. Everyone said it was, but I had my doubts.”
“Of course it is.”
“But why’s it called a gulch then?” She blew her wet hair out of her mouth. “Technically a gulch isn’t —”
“Shut up,” he said, closing his mouth over hers.
“Cheater,” she said with a grin between kisses. She glanced over Colt’s shoulder at the bank. “Come in and play with us. The water’s perfect.” She frowned. “Though I probably screamed, huh?”
“Wasn’t the first time tonight.” Colt laughed and she slugged him in the stomach. She tried to wriggle away and he clamped his arms around her waist and kissed her soundly enough that she stopped struggling.
And started sighing.
“Jerk. I just meant your parents probably heard me.”
He lifted a brow. “It was loud, yeah, but not loud enough to carry all the way to San Antonio.”
“San Antonio?” She glared at Drake as he paddled over to them. “You fibber. You told me we had to be quiet.”
“I thought you’d enjoy the thrill of possible discovery.” Drake shrugged. “Some people do.”
“By Colt’s parents, though? Hell no.” Paige’s disgusted expression made Colt laugh harder.
“Damn, you’re cute.”
“Pfft. You’re both jerks.” She shook her head, the movement sending water sprinkling over her cheeks like tears.
The image struck Colt hard. Fuck, he hoped it wasn’t a premonition.
“You’re right. We need to make up for our jerkiness somehow.” He pressed his mouth to her wet ear and bit down. Her rumble of pleasure made his cock stir. “How do you feel about doggy-style, darlin’?”
“Good question.” Drake slid his arm around her waist and licked the other side of her throat. “While I fuck you, you can suck Colt’s cock like you did mine earlier. You want to make him come in your mouth like I did, don’t you, baby?”
His low, hypnotic voice was even working on Colt. Damn.
She nodded, her eyelids going to half-mast. “I like taking both of you at once.” Her eyes flew open. “I mean….”
“We know what you mean.” Colt kissed her softly before dragging her lower lip between his teeth. Her eyes flickered open and met his once more. “But we’ll change your mind.”
She splashed him and chuckled. “Dirty boy.”
“Mmm.”
“Both dirty boys,” she said, including Drake in that statement.
“You know it.”
“And you’re our dirty girl.” Colt tangled his hands in her hair and tipped her head back until he could see every nuance of her expression. She might balk at any time. If so, at least he’d know where they stood. “Aren’t you?”
She didn’t hesitate. “Yes.”

“That’s a fifty-pound bag of our Jensen corn and sunflower mixture. Is that correct?” Paige doodled on the corner of her pad. Monday was off to a rip-roaring start. “Sure, we can have someone deliver it at lunchtime.” She straightened, realizing Mrs. Maddox’s farm was right up the street from C&D Horse Training. “Actually, I can deliver it for you. What time is good?”
“Noon would be perfect, dear. Are you sure you can handle it?”
“Oh sure. That’s cake.” Besides, the possibility of unscheduled afternoon nookie would give her additional strength, she was certain. “Can I bring you anything else while I’m at it?”
“Well, if you’re coming out anyway…”
By the time she got off the phone with sweet Mrs. Maddox, she’d agreed to haul out three fifty-pound bags of seed, a couple bags of compost, a few more packages of oats for her horse and a couple of other odds and ends. She might have to have their stockboy, Curtis, come with her, unless she could wrestle up some help from her afternoon nookie partners. Assuming they could
take a break on a Monday afternoon—both for the nookie and the manual labor. At least Charlene was due back from her honeymoon today, so she could man the store while Paige was out delivering to their customer. She’d only been scheduled to take a week and a half off, but Paige had insisted she tack on a few days.
A woman didn’t get married every day. When she did, she deserved two weeks’ vacation at minimum, dammit.
From what Charli had said, their honeymoon had been blissful. Aruba had been too, but Paige figured she’d probably been referring to the between-the-sheets action.
She smiled. As thrilled as she was for her bestie, normally she would’ve felt a little sorry for herself. Charli deserved nothing but the best and she was so glad she’d found the love of her life. Just every now and then, she’d wondered when her own penis-bedazzled ship would come in. It wasn’t as if she’d been asking for much. Just the occasional bang with a sexy guy who treated her well and didn’t expect her to buy dinner every single time they went out, because he was in a “transition period” and didn’t have gainful employment.
The last guy she’d dated had been in one for the better part of a year.
Instead, somehow she’d won the banging bonanza. She’d found herself not one, but two gorgeous guys who didn’t expect her to live on her knees just to get a lick or two before they rolled over and went to sleep. Colt and Drake freely doled out oral sex and compliments amidst the best sex of her life. And they had fun together. Whether the three of them were camped out on her living room couch eating Chinese as they had last night—Colt had done some very interesting things with duck sauce—or fighting over the crossword this morning before they all went to work, it was easy and natural with them in a way she’d never found with anyone else.
Even them spending the night didn’t seem weird. She probably would’ve found it weirder if they’d gotten dressed and left after sex.
Wednesday night, they were trying something new. She was going to their place, and they were going to ride horses for a while before they…rode each other.
She stifled a giggle against the back of her hand. Lame, Wilcox. So lame.
See, this is what being happy did to her. She was making stupid mental jokes before nine a.m.
A quick glance at her watch made her frown. They hadn’t officially opened for the day yet, but some of their customers knew they usually could call in phone orders before regular business hours. Char was running a bit later than she typically did, but who could blame her? She’d probably needed to get in one more quickie before work. It had to be difficult for her to leave her sexy-ass husband even for a day, since she knew he’d be back on the road to Nashville soon. Wade would be doing a bit of commuting until his next album was finished, and then he’d be touring to support it. So alone time was definitely precious between them.
On cue, the back door banged open with a loud curse. “Shit, Paige, help!”
Paige scrambled off her stool and raced to the back door. She blinked and took in the picture of Charli wedged into the back door with her arms full of flowers.
“Jeez, did you rob a florist? Here, give me some.” Paige rushed to unburden her, helpless against the urge to bury her face and take a long, lusty sniff. “Oh, lilies and roses and verbena and, why, gladiolas! Look at all these colors. So pretty.”
“From the wedding,” Charli explained. “Well, not exactly the wedding itself, since those have mostly croaked by now, but lots of Wade’s famous friends who couldn’t make it sent gifts and bouquets. So many bouquets. Our place smells like a mausoleum.”
Paige grinned. “So you decided to bring some here and share with your BFF?”
“Of course.” Charli grinned back and hurried forward to give Paige a hug. “I missed you. Dang, girl. Look at you.” She whistled and moved back to stare at Paige’s outfit.
It was a rare semi-cool October day, so she’d gone with a deep-red sweater dress that accented…well, everything. Twice. She’d debated taking it off and going with a more sensible business suit, something that made her look not quite so—chesty. Then she’d remembered the way Drake had kissed his way along her hips this morning and told her she was a built like a goddess and she’d not only worn the dress, but checked herself out once or twice in the bathroom mirror.
Somehow, some way, she was beginning to love her body just as it was. Screw the celery. Screw her mother’s constant admonitions about her slowing metabolism as she crept closer to thirty. Screw the ex-boyfriend who’d not only told her she should dress “more appropriately”, he’d bought her clothes more resembling shrouds than what a twenty-something should wear.
But those days were over. She was reclaiming her confidence, in part thanks to two amazing men who never let her forget for a second how much they appreciated her body and everything it could do.
“Thanks.” Accepting compliments without dismissing them was on her To Do list as well. She was getting better at it. “You look amazing yourself. That’s some tan. I bet you don’t have any tan lines either.”
“Ha ha, I wish. We weren’t exactly on a nude beach.” Charli set down the last of her flowers along with her purse before shutting the door.
“Was it fabulous? I know, I know, I already asked you, but it’s different in person.”
“It’s also different to tell the story when your quick-fingered husband isn’t playing connect-the-dots with hot caramel on your belly. And other places.”
Paige laughed and marveled that for once, she didn’t feel as though she was missing out. Because thank the Lord, she had naughty stories of her own. Seriously naughty.
Granted, her situation with Drake and Colt was a bit different. Charli was in love and married and that gave her lovemaking an extra layer Paige didn’t know much about. She also was guaranteed to still be swinging off the chandeliers next month and next year, whereas Paige’s fun ride at the rodeo could end at any time.
But that was why she was determined to enjoy every second for as long as she could.
“How are things here?” Charli turned to sort through the latest stack of mail. “Crazy as always?”
“We’ve been okay. Terrence had to call out for this week. Broke his arm mucking out stalls at the Baylor place. Curtis picked up some of his hours. Speaking of, I told Mrs. Maddox I’d take a delivery out to her at lunchtime. You mind keeping an eye on things? I shouldn’t be much more than an hour.” Thinking of the extra stop she hoped to make, she flushed and ran a fingertip along the V-neck of her dress. “Or maybe two.”
“Sure, take as long as you…” Charli trailed off and shifted back, her dark eyes sparkling. “What’s going on?”
“Huh? What?”
God, she was no good at this subterfuge stuff. Not that she was sneaking around, per se, but she just hadn’t wanted to discuss it all again with Charli so soon. She would, of course. She’d be damned if she started lying to her best friend for any reason. All she’d wanted was a few more days to bask in her newly reinvigorated love life.
And how.
“Paige Elizabeth Wilcox, I recognize that pink in your cheeks. You have a new lover. You better tell me all about it.” She grinned. “And him. Start with length and width.”
Awkward. So much awkward. It wasn’t like she could say, “Oh, you know all about one of them.” One of them. Because she had two guys.
She barely swallowed a laugh. That would never stop blowing her mind.
“Oh my word, Charli. Being married has made you an utter horndog.” To distract both of them, Paige moved away to fuss with the flowers. Some of them were starting to wilt.
Looked like that was becoming her role all the way around lately: freshener-upper. Especially when it came to herself.
“Nah, not so much. I was a horndog before, I just didn’t have a willing partner to practice with.” Charli boosted herself up on the counter beside the back door and waited expectantly. “So? Don’t make me get out the crowbar.”
Paige stroked a finger over the petals of a sh
owy pink rose. She could delay and deny as much as she wanted, but it wouldn’t buy her much time.
Better to stick with her honesty-is-the-best-policy motto. Sure, it was weird, and the timing majorly sucked with Charli just getting back from her honeymoon. But even if it was painful for her to hear—though Paige sincerely hoped it wasn’t—in the long run, it would sting less.
Assuming there was even a long run to worry about. Probably the whole thing would be over by next week, and she’d be left with her incredible memories and all the new clothes she’d bought to feed her recently acquired sexy dress fetish.
“It’s Drake and Colt.” She bit her lip and studied the flowers she didn’t dare look up from. She didn’t want to see judgment in her best friend’s face. Or worse, hurt. “Still.”
Charli’s swinging legs stopped moving. “For real?” she asked after a moment, her surprise clear in her voice.
“Is it that shocking they’d want me for more than one night?” Hearing herself, Paige shook her head and held up a hand. “Sorry. It’s just a sensitive subject. I guess because I still can’t really believe it myself.”
“This is what they do. They share a woman then move on when it suits them.” At Paige’s sharp look, Charli blew out a breath. “I’m sorry. I don’t want to burst your bubble, but if the past means anything, chances are good they’re just chasing orgasms.”
“So?” Paige shifted toward her and pressed her hip into the lip of the counter to keep from racing from the room. She’d always considered herself a woman who faced problems when necessary, but obviously that wasn’t the case because she’d do anything to avoid facing this.
Today or any day.
“So? Do you really want to be used and tossed aside by—”
“Hold it. Hold it right there. Who’s using me? From where I’m standing, I entered into this arrangement under my own steam. I’m attracted to them, and evidently they’re attracted to me. We’re friends. We don’t just fuck all the time.”
Charli blanched. “Seriously?”
