It was so, so fucking wrong, but so fucking good. She made a little sound in the back of her throat, a sound that almost drove him over the edge of control but he pulled away. He had to. Liam would kill him. One moment more and then he’d go. He had to.

Extended Epilogue - Billionaire In Vegas

  “Everyone, say cheese!”

“Cheese!” we responded, smiling brightly at the camera.

“God this is such a lovely wedding!” Misha gushed.

I looked around me. People I hadn’t seen in years were gathered there.

My aunt and cousin Leslie were somewhere among them. It was a truly a special day. Emmaline’s and Colin’s special day.

“Emmaline made such a beautiful bride,” I said.

It had been a small wedding, but emotional and heartfelt. I think I even saw Theodora trying to hide her tears as her parents spoke their vows to each other.

And to my surprise, I’d even seen Emmaline’s parents. Emmaline had been equally surprised to see them, and I assumed Colin had invited them given how Emmaline walked away from them as soon as they’d appeared at the rehearsal dinner. I knew they hadn’t spoken in at least a decade. I’d moved to go talk to her when I saw Collin following behind her. I stayed out of it. It was a family matter. Emmaline had eventually come out, but had ignored her parents.

But things seemed to be on the mend, as they fawned over Theodora who seemed delighted to meet another set of grandparents.

Yeah, I thought to myself as I looked around, everything was clearly working out for the best.

And as a pair of arms slid around my waist and pulled me against a hard chest, I couldn’t help but smile.

“There’s an open bar. What do you say we get drunk and marry each other again?”

“Been there, done that. We should seriously find a new hobby. Plus, I can’t drink.”

“What?” said Jude. “Is the booze that bad?”

I placed his hand directly over my stomach and asked him, “Did you just think I was getting fat?”

“More like pleasantly plump,” he replied, and I turned around and smacked him playfully on his shoulder.

He reached for my hand and placed a kiss on the inside of my palm before bringing both hands up on either side of my thickening waist.

“I’m going to be a dad…” He said softly, all joking aside as he stared at my belly in awe.

“Yeah,” was all I could add. I had only found out a week ago, and I was still trying to digest the news.

“If it’s a girl, can we name her Ophelia?” It was my turn to swallow hard as I looked up at the man I loved and nodded.

“Or if it’s a boy, you can name him Oliver,” said my employer, popping up from nowhere.

Oliver had taken a trip to Europe and had strangely made a full recovery from whatever had previously ailed him. He bragged that he had had the best medicine Euros could buy, but I didn’t think even Europe could bring a man back from the brink of death. I pretended to believe him.

“I doubt we’ll name him Oliver, but good try, Dad,” Jude responded.

“An old man can wish,” Oliver said, winking at me.

He walked away grinning and I couldn’t help but wonder if somehow me, Jude, Vegas, all of this had been his grand plan.

If so, I wasn’t angry. I just owed him a thank you.

All thoughts of Oliver’s interference—or lack of interference—went out the window as Jude pulled me close and said with a sigh, “I couldn’t dream of a better life, Lacey. Thanks for putting up with me.”

“You’re welcome, and you know it’ll only cost you a billion dollars.”

“Can I pay it to you over a lifetime?” He took my hand and smiled down at me.

I smiled up at him. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
