He came out smelling good, and she did her best to ignore the sensations it derived. Dustin didn’t go into the other room to get his clothes on but instead changed right in front of her. It shouldn't have been a big deal because they were married after all. The hard lines of his chest were remembered from before when she had seen him in that state, but Jasmine was not prepared for how different it made her feel now. The only thing that had really changed was her perspective, and at the moment, she was desperately trying to ignore the way he stirred up confusion in her body.

He had this knowing grin on his face, and he finally asked her if she was ready to go. Jasmine knew that the correct answer was yes, even if she didn't necessarily feel it at the moment. She wasn't supposed to let him see how much he was getting to her.

Jasmine took the offered hand as they were leaving, and she didn't have to ask what form of transportation they were going to take. He preferred to fly, and she was quickly becoming accustomed to it. It made her feel wild and free and closer to him.

They flew for what felt like at least an hour. It was one of the longer rides that they had taken together, even longer than the flight to take her to the mansion.

That was the moment that had changed her life forever, and Jasmine couldn't help but think that the same thing was about to happen then as well. The two of them were meant to be together.

They stopped on the top of a mountain, and again, there was a moment that her usual fear of heights came out. It wasn't like she was afraid to fall, but it was somehow different when she was high up in the air. It felt safer, even though that really didn't make any sense. Obviously, it wasn't safer.

There was a waterfall nearby, and he took her hand, locking her underneath it. It was a magical place.

“How did you find this place?”

“I was here a few years back and thought it was perfect. There was actually an old story about this waterfall and two lovers that used to meet here. I guess I wanted to know if the place was real or not, and it actually was. You can imagine how surprised I was.”

Jasmine smiled at his answer, knowing that she wanted them to make their own memories there as lovers.

When they walked behind it, there was a hidden room. It looked like no one had been there for many years, but now there were signs of life. Not only had he set up a table so that they could have some sort of dinner, but there were also candles, and she had to listen for a moment, but she could hear a tinkling of music coming from somewhere. It was romantic and sweet and just the sort of thing that Jasmine was looking for. She was hopeful that she wasn't reading into things the wrong way because she certainly wanted to be right. She wanted them to finally move to the next level.

“I can't believe you did all this, Dustin. When did you have the time?”

Jasmine knew that he was always busy running around, doing things for the clan. She had no idea how he could have set it up, but she was thankful that he had. It showed her that he was constantly thinking of her, just like she was constantly thinking of him.

“That was what I had to take care of earlier. Now sit down, and I hope you're hungry; the cooks made all of your favorites.”

Jasmine was, but now she didn't have an appetite. There were other things on her mind that had nothing to do with food.

After picking at her food for some time, he asked her what she was thinking about. Jasmine was quietly asking herself the same question because nothing was simple anymore. She had more questions and answers, but there was one thing that was really on her mind.

“I guess I'm just wondering where this is going to go, Dustin.”

“What do you mean by that? Like this dinner?”

She nodded. “This dinner and the marriage in general. It’s kind of hard not to see that there are some definite things missing in our marriage. I know that you must see it too.”

  “Oh, I do.”

“I mean, doesn't it bother you?”

“Bother me? Just to be clear, what are we talking about exactly? I don’t want to go off on a tangent and that’s not even what you were talking about.”

She felt her cheeks getting red because obviously he was messing with her. How did he not know what she was referring to? It was one of the main things on her mind. Was it not on his at all?

“I'm talking about sex, Dustin. We have been married for over a month and we still haven't had sex. There were a couple times I thought it was going to happen, but then something would come up and you’d just leave. Is that what's going to happen tonight, because I don’t know if I can honestly take it again. Do you not want me or something?”

Her face was red from having to say it out loud, and Jasmine had never been so scared in all of her life. The reaction that she got was even worse. He laughed. Not a little chuckle either, like what she said was slightly amusing, this was a full-blown belly laugh that really irritated her. What did he find so funny? She was about to ask him just that when he growled at her.

“You don't know how badly I've been holding myself back. I have been killing myself, just to keep my hands off of you.”

She found that his answer was frustrating. “Well, I wish you wouldn't. I've been waiting a long time for this, and I just want to know if this is finally the day.”

Before she could say anything else, he was out of his chair and moving towards her.

“I can't think of anything better.”

Dustin kissed her, and Jasmine could immediately tell the difference. It was the kind of kiss that she had read about in romance novels. The sort that shook the earth underneath their feet, and Jasmine wondered why she had waited so long.

She was trembling inside still, but it wasn’t from fear. It was from something else. Something deeper inside of her that was damn hard to explain.

  Chapter Thirteen

Hearing Jasmine confess that she was ready for something more was all Dustin needed to hear. That first night of their marriage, she wasn’t ready. But once that green light was given, all Dustin was worried about was how quickly he would be able to get her undressed.

Once he touched her lips though, it was more the worry of would he be able to do what was right and necessary with her. He knew that she was going to need time, patience. Those were all things that he didn’t really have at the moment. What he wanted was to figure out how to slow down.

Dustin was pulling away when he heard the sweetest sound of surrender coming from between her lips and he was trying hard to pull it together. Did she know how badly he wanted her? How much he wanted to bury himself inside of her?

He had to push those thoughts aside. Jasmine was untouched, which meant that she was going to base everything off of their first time together. That put a lot of pressure on a man that hadn’t been with a woman in months. He had thought about going outside of the marriage but had never gotten up the nerve. Now, though, he was concerned about his longevity and control when he was already so on edge.

Dustin pulled away, and she whined. It was a nice sound, and it made him kiss her red lips again. All of her lipstick was gone now, and her lips seemed plumper than before.

He was feeling on the edge, her body molding against his. When he pulled her to the ground and laid her down, the trust in her eyes reminded him again that he had to take it slow. She was putting her faith in him, something she had never done before, and Dustin wanted to honor that. He understood that Jasmine was a gift he wasn’t quite sure he deserved.

It made his handling different, and he stayed on top of her, letting her get used to the feel of his body on hers. She was writhing underneath him, making him want her immediately, but he knew better. Dustin would have listened if it were any other woman, but he told himself, again and again, she knows not what she wants.

Focusing on getting Jasmine ready wasn’t hard. Every touch electrified her, and she was begging for it with her mouth and her body. He tried to tell her that she wasn’t ready, but she insisted.

It was clear that she was ready for somethi
ng, and Dustin figured that his mouth would work wonders in the current situation. He just knew that she would become more docile and prepared if he gave her something she needed yet didn’t exactly know how to ask for.

When his lips started to move to her neck, his fingers were quickly revealing her to him. She was shaking inside, yet he was as well. His hands weren’t as deft as they usually were, and they were trembling from the touch. It was just how badly he needed and desired her. His member had been hard for months, and the throbbing was becoming disconcerting. How was he supposed to think when he had no blood left for normal brain function?

Once her shirt was opened and off, he sat back on his heels and took her all in. His hand was playing with one of the plump breasts. She whimpered, and her eyes were shut. He was able to see every inch of her supple body, and there was nothing to stop him. The view was exceptional, just what he wanted to see.

She was okay with touch, and when his lips wrapped around one of her nipples, she jerked but settled back down rather quickly. It sent good feelings through her, and her whines were what drove him on. When his hand moved to the top of her pants, though, the woman underneath him got rigid, and he worried that he’d moved too far, too fast.

Her eyes popped open, a sea of blue, and she was worried again.

“I am going to take these off now, okay?”

She agreed, but she was watching him like a hawk; every movement was studied. He wasn’t sure how he was going to make himself slow down when all he wanted to do was speed up. Getting her ready was having devastating consequences for him.

Dustin’s senses were heightened, far beyond a human’s scent. He could smell her readiness long before he got her pants off. He knew that she was soaking wet and ready for all of the attention he wanted to give her. It wasn’t enough; Dustin needed to get her choking with desire.

When her pants and then panties came off, the smell was stronger, and he was in pain now. He was so hard, the pants were getting tight, and he needed relief. He would have given it to himself if it had been any other time. Dustin didn’t like to delay pleasure.

Taking all of the added needs that were on him, he moved to the space between her legs and rubbed his fingertips on the soft black hair that was there. It was hiding her from him, and he moved to open her. The first touch was enough to shock her, and her eyes popped open.

Dustin was trying to keep it together, but then he saw her little button and leaned down to suck on it. The sounds that came from her were immediate, as well as the pressure on both sides of his head. Her thighs had closed onto him like a mousetrap, and before he could do much else, Dustin was touching the very barrier that was keeping him at bay.

He pressed on it with his tongue, and she called out. Her tone got higher, and before he could do much else, she was getting away from him, her hips moving back and forth away from his touch.

Then the pressure on his head intensified. It was so much pressure that he had to pull her thighs down so that he could breathe. It was more than he could handle, and he doubled down on the tongue action. She was right there, he knew it, and a little pressure added on her virgin hole was all that was needed to flood his mouth with her juices.

Before she could do much else, he was lifting up and getting off of her. He watched her legs go back together, and Jasmine went to her side. She had her eyes closed, and she was moaning softly. Was that her first orgasm?

The idea brought reality crashing back. He wasn’t going to make it if he had to go on waiting much longer. He was in physical pain.

Who knew that having a wife would be such a treat?

  Chapter Fourteen

Jasmine’s body and mind were humming. She’d touched herself before, felt gentle stirrings when she did. It was pleasant enough, but now Jasmine understood all of the fuss that was given to sex. It was amazing. She was sure that there was more, but as she lay there, letting her body sing, nothing mattered, and the feeling of wellbeing was taking over all else, even reason. Jasmine had never felt so good in all of her life.

Her attention was brought back to reality when she could feel the earth moving. He was ready, and for a moment, she forgot that there was more to it. She wasn’t that innocent; no one was.

  “Jasmine.”

She heard her name being called and opened her eyes. Dustin was naked, but he was different in several ways. His eyes were darker, his expression determined. There was also a larger part of him, and it was so big and angry, that she closed her legs in response. There was no way that thing was going to be able to go where he wanted to put it.

Maybe it was the naïve way that she was looking at him, but she was convinced that it was all a mistake.

  “Is that normal?”

He chuckled, her finger pointing at him. “Is what normal?”

“You know, your thing. I mean, you’re not human, so is it supposed to be that big?”

Dustin leaned down to kiss her and then thanked her for stoking his ego. That wasn’t her intention. Jasmine wanted him to take her seriously.

“So that’s the same size as a human’s?”

She was incredulous, and Dustin seemed to find her reaction amusing. Jasmine wasn’t feeling it, though. She was convinced he was asking too much.

“I am sure that there are some that are my size. It varies.”

“Are you sure? I mean, are there a lot of shifters with humans? Are you sure you’re not going to rip me or something.”

He kissed her again and then whispered, “I will, but for just a moment. After that, it will feel better than anything you could imagine.”

More disbelief from Jasmine, and she jerked when he settled in against her.

“Do you not want to do this?”

Jasmine bit her lip. It was obvious that he did. He was pressed against her, and he had a hungry look in his eyes.

She agreed that she did, and her wish was granted quickly. It took her breath away, the pain, the pleasure, the feeling of him inside of her, making them one. It was more than she could have imagined feeling all at one time. Her senses were overwhelmed, and Jasmine clung to him, desperately trying to hold on.

Dustin paused, holding himself rigid and kissing her lips, eyes, cheeks. It was like a sprinkle just moments before the storm began.

  “Are you okay?”

He whispered his query softly, touching her ever-so-gently, like she would break at the mere roughness of his hands. Instead, she clenched him, and they both gasped with the movement. Dustin was perspiring, and Jasmine could see that he was holding back. She knew there was more, but once she started to wiggle around, she got to feel what more was.

  “Please, Dustin…”

He slid out and then in, making her call out his name. It was sudden, his introduction to her body, and Jasmine needed time. She needed something more, and her nails dug into his shoulders once she reached the peak that she’d been unknowingly climbing.

It was even stronger than the one he caused with his mouth. It wasn’t at all what she’d envisioned happening. Before she could really think straight, Jasmine was orgasming, lifting them both to higher altitudes than ever before.

She clung to him and made him slow down. They kissed, and he assured her that it was all going to be okay. She thought her body was going to explode moments prior, so Jasmine wasn’t as sure and convinced as he was. When he started moving inside of her again, she thought her body was going to lose touch with her brain. There was no way anything could feel that good, yet Jasmine was in more pleasure than she could ever remember. It was a feeling that she never wanted to leave her.

Jasmine was lying on the ground, unable to move. She was watching the night sky. It was hard to breathe or think. Her heart was racing, and she was in and out of consciousness.

Dustin moved in beside her, and a smile touched her lips almost immediately. He pulled her into his warm body, and she ignored the hard part of him that was pressed against her. While it worried her some, she had been told that she would be saf
e from his ravishing, at least for a little while.

“I never knew that this could be like this, Jasmine. Here I thought I was going to teach you a thing or two, but it was you who taught me. It was a lesson I don’t think I’ll ever forget.”

She agreed. “You better not forget it.”

“I might need a reminder, often.”

His kiss was feverish, but he toned it down once she pushed back.

“I mean it, Dustin, no more. Let’s get some sleep.”

He smiled. “Did you forget where we are?”

She opened her eyes, looking up at the blue sky dotted with stars. “It’s not supposed to be too cold tonight. Let’s just hold each other for a while.”

Dustin pulled her closer, and she could already feel the heat from his body, radiating over her. No cold was going to get to her.

  Chapter Fifteen

Dustin was feeling on top of the world by the time they got back to the clan. He knew that there were several elders waiting for him, as well as Dalton. Dustin didn't know what Dalton wanted but he knew that it was most likely not going to be good. Dalton hadn't had any good news in several years.

All of that was in his mind when he went through the doors. He tried to forget the fact that he was in the middle of investigating his father's death. He also tried to forget the fact that he was fighting with his brother as well. As much as he wanted to believe that everything would work out how it was supposed to, Dustin was aware that Dalton had a way of doing his best to make things happen. He had a knack for it, and although it could be used for good, Dalton chose to use it in other ways.

When he got into his office, he smiled at the small sore spot on his neck where Jasmine had bit him. It had taken him by surprise, but at that point, he shouldn't be surprised at anything that she did.

It wasn't long before his brother was knocking on the office door and entering before he was invited. That pretty much summed up his brother perfectly. He never did take time for the pleasantries or to do something properly.
