Your Yellowstone Settlement One houses your new government, they will assist you in any way they can to rebuild. But all must work together.
We will not be returning to Earth, but your government will rebuild with your help. You came very close to being under the control of a foreign nation; this is the only reason we have interfered and came to your rescue!
We will be monitoring Earth closely, we will return should we be needed. But it has always been against our protocol to interfere or cause an international incident. In this case, it was to save you! Should we ever be needed again, your new government will contact us.
Make your peace now with your neighbor and I wish all of you well.
The Ark Royal continued to travel slowly over the east coast where most of the fighting was located making sure every citizen saw the ship and its power clearly displayed.
Ellead continued searching for pockets of fighting and as he found them, flew close and sent out warning messages to cease the fighting and for everyone to return to their homes.
The Ark Royal flew through the shields around the United States and over the Atlantic Ocean. They tracked all the activity of the Russian fighters and saw that they had turned and were headed back to their homeland. All their allies also had turned and run.
The captain made sure the Ark Royal was seen by every country around the world and it only took a short time until the news media had sent footage to all of them.
The captain took the Ark Royal far out over the ocean and did a firing display to show exactly what his ship could do if provoked. The pre-dawn sky lit up and there was no doubt about the ship's power.
A clear message was sent around the world that the Ark Royal would return to protect and fight for the United States should it be needed.
It was made clear that the political system that had failed the American people was no more. That system was now being updated to the current times since so much had changed since America was first founded.
Then so everyone could see the sheer firepower, all the travel pods disembarked and flew around the Ark Royal in formation. Ellead circled the ship and Ohtron and even his bitrons buzzed the air with pride!
And just for one full day, there was literally peace on Earth. No man lifted a weapon, nor drew blood out of sheer fear for his or her life from an alien world they could not see.
Weapons of mass destruction were aboard the Ark Royal and no one knew its full capabilities so not a single country would challenge the ship or test its technologies.
The Ark Royal stayed in full view and all the captain’s fleet did the same. The world watched as they flew over American soil in formation lighting up the sky as they flew, to demonstrate that Earth II was not that far away.
What was left of the United States Navy, Army, Air Force, and Marines were stunned and remained grounded by the call of the acting president and it was agreed it was the proper thing to do.
America’s military bowed down and remained silent as the Ark Royal traveled over each military base and sent messages of good tidings to all.
All military bases received directions on how to contact the three settlements of freedom that would help rebuild America to a great nation once again. And all of them knew that backup was one world away.
No greater love for a nation had a stranger from another world ever shown than Syra! She was the first to have taken an interest in Earth. She hoped there would be no other worlds interested in Earth. Syra vowed to keep a close eye on Earth should any other worlds think they could invade it, but it was time to call her Ark Royal home to Earth II.
With Ellead, Ohtron and his bitrons all on board. All travel pods that had been converted to battle pods had set up the shields, and they were on and stronger than expected.
The Ark Royal rose high in the night sky, over Washington, D.C. one final time and lit up the sky like the sun when it left Earth.
The Ark Royal had left a clear message that Earth II was a powerful entity, and that message was made perfectly clear that one full day on Earth.
Captain Zee called out to his crew, “Onward my faithful crew, up and away to Earth II we sail. Take us home, take us home!
Within a blink of an eye, they had entered the wormhole and the race against time was well spent, and all aboard the Ark Royal that day knew it.
A battle was fought to save America, not by a single living soul, but by technologies created by the Zhianites hundreds of thousands of years ago.
Who would have thought that a race from a world billions of years older than Earth itself would be the ones to save them?
But the Zhianites had left thousands of worker bots back on their planet Zhian when they had their great exodus. They would never leave another behind.
Within a short time, the Ark Royal had popped through the wormhole and all of Earth II stood in silence as she landed high upon the Waterfall Mountains, and near the Chadwell Lawson Retreat.
That night Cynthia Chadwell Lawson had watched as the Ark Royal burst through the clouds and lit up the sky and Bart held her close to him and knew the trip was a success!
Ellead quickly disembarked and landed near where Cynthia stood. He opened his doors and invited them inside, after all, it was late night on Earth II.
The first thing the next morning, everyone attended a meeting from all camps on Earth II to discuss the success of the mission and the future of Earth.
Syra’s maintenance crew would spend their time going over the Ark Royal, Ellead, Ohtron and his bitrons for any issues that may have occurred during their mission.
The meeting continued on most of the day, but it was Syra’s final words that stuck with everyone in attendance that day!
This, my friends, is a meeting I was afraid would be in sadness and not celebration. What we have done is set in motion events that should help Earth and America to repair the damage and start anew.
We are a peaceful people, but because we had a good defense system, lives were saved. Not everything that comes out of war is bad.
But war should not have a reason in the first place. Let us hope the time never comes that our technologies must be used to take lives. This time it protected lives, this may never happen again.
Earth is now on their own, we have done all that we can do. We must now work hard to build our own world, and to protect it!
I will keep open and direct communication with the acting president as they jump-start their government back on Earth, and I will keep everyone up-to-date on their progress or lack thereof.
It is with great pleasure that I announce my son Zach Caldiron, former president of the United States and my son, will now take my place at Central Command Center. He will be your leader and all leaders of the settlements will now report to him.
Former President Cole from Earth will assist him. Together they will work on setting up our own government with all the leaders we now have.
James and I wish to move to the retreat and to travel and enjoy our time together without the worries of running a world. So please, everyone that agrees to this change, show your acceptance and I would like to thank each and every one of you from the depths of my heart.
The room was now almost empty when James Caldiron embraced his aging wife Syra and reminded her of just how beautiful she still was. He himself was now showing signs of aging too.
Together since Syra’s first arrival on Earth and having to race against time itself to save his homeworld, they needed time for each other.
Both still enjoyed their trips in the Sheevah, and they would take one in a few days to the Waterfall Mountain Ridge to see the progress of Cynthia’s Chadwell Lawson Retreat and to start building their new home there.
Zach Caldiron the former President of the United States had finally become the new leader of Earth II as Syra stepped down that day, so she and James could retire and enjoy their later years. The retreat was a perfect place for the both of them.
Meanwhile, over at the city of Allieah, Hannah had made
an excellent leader, and everyone loved her. She had been neighbors with her best friend Charles since they moved to Earth II, and it wasn’t until Earth was no longer in danger did either take a deep breath and remember they are human.
There were human and knew humans needed to give love and receive it in order to achieve complete happiness, and they had finally found that in each other.
They would soon wed at the retreat and perhaps spend a few days there enjoying the view of the mountains and the waterfalls. It was the perfect place to get away from all the duties they were responsible for.
Just as soon as the new monorail system connected the two cities to CCC and then the retreat, residents began to enjoy the lodge that overlooked the mountain ridge and had the Zhian Sphere within its sight.
No one had ever seen such a beautiful place, and to think the residents there had built it in such a short time. Of course, they did have a lot of help.
Within a few months, the retreat had become the place to go to, to relax. Cynthia and Bart finally got their new home built, which was a large cabin that had a porch she enjoyed spending time on while sitting on her favorite rocker every evening watching Earth II’s setting sun.
Both Cynthia and Bart insisted it had a very large fireplace to cozy up to and a bar always fully stocked. Cynthia’s favorite drink back on Earth was a martini; it still was, and Bart still enjoyed his bourbon on the rocks.
The original residents who were refugees from the megachurch on Earth never wanted a large church on Earth II, and none ever paid tithes again. But the humble little church on the mountain never needed anything that its members didn’t supply it.
In just one short year since the last trip to Earth had taken place, no calls came from Earth out of desperation, and all reports were good ones.
Syra had managed to get her husbands’ people to finally embrace her. Many of the residents of America began looking to the skies daily hoping to see Syra return.
But the rest of the Earth looked to the skies for a far sinister reason. Russia became paranoid of anything flying and simply shot it down if it was even close to their airspace.
Their allies had turned their backs on Russia, mainly because of the failed attempt at invade America and making it theirs. They saw them as a bunch of losers, and they were ignored by most of the world.
America was now the strongest nation on Earth once again, and it would remain that way for eternity if the aliens had anything to say about it.
Meanwhile, back on Earth life was slowly returning to smaller towns. Cities were still in shambles and it was not clear if they would rebuild them anytime soon or not. There simply weren’t enough living people to fill the buildings.
The acting president continued to fulfill the job and would until a formal government was once again established and a voting system in place that was fair and not manipulated as was in the past.
Supplies were sent out too many smaller towns now trying hard to reestablish themselves, and they began slowly recovering.
The acting president, Rebecca Holmes, was once the speaker of the house. She would always long for the job once again for it was a position she truly enjoyed.
But it was made clear to all that she would not run for President. She would simply retire and advise any new and young politicians on how to not ever return to the old days and old ways. It was what nearly destroyed them in the first place.
No one was surprised when several Russian fighter jets attempted to penetrate the shields. Everyone knew they would eventually, and since the fear had somewhat dissipated, they went for it.
Every fighter that hit the shields exploded in a ball of fire. Battleships were forced into a dead stop and sank from the damage to their hulls.
It wasn’t long until the whole world knew, America was around to stay. There would be no foreign trade for some time while America was under reconstruction.
But life went on, on Earth and America grew stronger with each passing day. Most citizens did not believe they would see America completely restored in their own lifetimes, but they knew with the Zhian technology the U.S. now had possession of, they would recover.
Syra, The awakening
Book three
chapter one
The shields were still holding up, but Earth II was constantly being bombarded by strikes like constant lightning across the sky, relentlessly for days.
It was now time for the Ark Royal and her fleet to pierce through Earth II’s shields. It was time to confront the enemy face to face and end this war once-and-for-all.
Syra ordered the temporary closing of the wormhole to Earth to protect it and use the Zhian technology and everything they had learned to defend themselves.
Syra exclaimed this would be the day that goes down in Earth II’s history as a galactic showdown between the Xnaethea and Earth II.
But just ten years earlier…
It had been 50 years since the Zhianites inhabited Earth II. But it had only been a couple of years since the captain led the Ark Royal to put a shield around the United States and its territories back on Earth.
It would send the Russians back to their homeland and stop an invasion. This had given Earth a jump start to rebuild one day.
But today was a special day and Syra would celebrate her birthday at 110 years. Of course, with her advanced Zhian DNA and the restore pod, she aged slowly.
Syra still looked much younger and was in perfect health. She still did not look a day older than 60. But James used the restore pod much more often than Syra because he was fully human.
When Syra was conceived, Arteemus and Allieah, her parents, preserved the egg. No sooner than they had done that to delay her birth, they were killed when their travel pod crashed into the tower, they lived in that stood high above the ground on the planet Zhian.
Some 2,000 years later when the planet Zhian could no longer sustain life, Syra would be born, and she was placed in the birthing pod. This took less than a year and her birth was noted and all Zhian celebrated. She never knew her parents any other way, other than through the holocom unit.
It was her destiny to pilot the Zhian Sphere, with all the Zhian’s latest technologies. With a select small group of Zhianites to travel to Earth, any and all useful crystals still left on the planet were stripped and loaded aboard.
There would be nothing but a world tearing itself apart from the inside out, and nothing left for anyone who wished to inhabit it. The planet Zhian was evacuated and discarded. It was in fact, a dying world.
But Zerk, the leader of the Council of 12, had other plans for Earth rather than coexisting with its inhabitants. It would take Syra to see through this, destroy him and the council and save Earth.
Syra was but 25 in Earth years when she married James Caldiron. Some 35 years later her son Zachary Caldiron became President of the United States.
But it would take corruption and evil to exploit him and his mother as unwanted aliens, before Syra and her people gave up and left Earth. They saw no future for themselves there, nor did they see themselves as ever truly being accepted.
Earth II was supposed to be their original destination, but the old council wanted Earth. Earth had inhabitants and that meant people to rule over. Earth II was a young planet and had no inhabitants other than its wildlife and plants, which were of little interest to the council.
Ellead had been sent many years earlier to scout Earth and on that expedition flew around Earth II and recorded what he had seen and found. He was unaware that Zerk knew of this new planet, but he was an explorer ship and recorded its data, nonetheless.
The planet Zhian was an incredibly old planet, and its inhabitants could no longer live on its lands. The citizens of Zhian had no other choice but move into towers that hovered high up in the sky.
The only thing useful on the old planet was its crystals, and even the rare blue, which was also known as the cerulean crystal, was now exhausted. It was a very deep blue in color, unlike the blue crystal which w
as a much lighter color.
Of the four zones on the planet, only two still had greenery, but all wildlife had already gone extinct. Then, for several hundred years, even in those two zones no Zhianite could walk without his or her life being in danger and those zones too had become useless.
The worker bots, under the orders of their leader Zee10, would mine the crystals for hundreds of years leaving the Zhianites with nothing but a life in a tower and the holocom unit and replicators.
Eventually, there would be no new births, and even the Zhianites were dying out too.
The Zhian Sphere calculated the day they would need to make their great exodus. There were many worlds near them, and its inhabitants moved to those local planets.
All the precious crystals and Zhian technology was housed in the Zhian Sphere and was closely guarded by the few Zhianites that traveled to Earth with Syra.
Little did the Zhianites know, other worlds within that space would want the crystals they took with them and would hunt them down for eternity to get them.
The planet Zhian was the oldest planet in that quadrant, but the younger planets had extraordinarily little of the crystals, resources, or the technology the Zhians held.
None aboard the Zhian Sphere knew the dangers they left behind on those surrounding planets, but Zerk and the Council of 12 did.
It was time the inhabitants of the new Earth II learn the truth. But they never would have until they were cleaning out the Zhian Sphere’s archives and the truth began to unfold piece by piece.
But this day was Syra’s birthday, and all on Earth II would celebrate it. The party began early that morning and the celebration would last for four days at the Chadwell Lawson Retreat high on the Waterfall Mountain Ridge.
Syra and James had been spending most of their days at the retreat and enjoyed the slow peaceful laid-back pace everyone had there.
The retreat had only cabins and lodges in the mountains and everyone grew their own foods in gardens and via hydroponics in greenhouses. There was no city life at the retreat.
The retreat on Earth had storage buildings with supplies that would last for many generations to come, from what they had brought with them from Earth. Even with replicators and no need for the supplies on Earth II, they still would leave nothing behind for the enemy back on Earth.
