Where the spirit realm had once been drab and uninteresting, a parody of the real world in dull hues, it was now a shock of red and orange, pouring through a jagged opening like a rip in fabric. Despite the heat exuding from the gap, Lila's blood ran cold. There was only one explanation for the tear in the spirit world, only one entity beyond witches and spirits had the power to tear through the veil like this, and if they had made it this far, they were almost certainly through to the real world. Everyone they knew, and everyone they didn't, was in danger.
