Once they were done, the two men withdrew from Golden and backed away. Golden hunched near the floor, out of breath, sweat and cum coating his body. His gaze lifted as he felt the intensity of a stare and saw Jax standing before him.
“Had enough yet?” Jax asked, his cock in hand.
Golden scowled at Jax, suddenly angry for some reason. “Is this what you wanted? To demean and humiliate me?”
Jax stepped closer and threaded his fingers through Golden’s hair. Without meaning to, Golden closed his eyes, the small tender touch meaning more than it should.
“I wasn’t trying to humiliate you, Golden. I told you I might be more than you can handle. This is what sex with me means. You got what you asked for, enjoyed it even. Don’t be angry because you liked what we’ve done to you. Especially since I’m not done.”
Jax pushed Golden to his back. Golden’s back hurt, his trapped hands underneath was painful, but once Jax rolled Golden’s legs high in the air the pressure was off. With his legs in the air, Golden’s abused ass as free for Jax to take. Jax wasted no time, sinking into Golden’s hole. The crisp hairs around Jax’s cock tickled and stung his raw bottom even more in this position.
Golden could feel Colt’s load slipping from him as Jax began to move within. Catching Golden’s stare, Jax held the gaze as he pumped deep into Golden’s body.
“You think you’re dominant, but you’re a submissive through and through, Golden,” Jax said, his voice low.
Golden shook his head back and forth, even though his mind screamed yes. After these three bears had mastered him, how could he deny how he felt?
Jax clasped Golden’s shoulders and leaned down to kiss Golden. Powering into Golden, Jax claimed Golden’s mouth as well. When he pulled back, he stared into Golden’s eyes. “You love this, admit it.”
Golden shook his head from side to side again, refusing to admit anything.
“Tell me!” Jax cried.
“No!” Golden yelled back, a moan escaping his open lips on the next moment. He didn’t want these three to know how much he liked their sexual torment. He didn’t want it to stop, never.
Jax started working Golden’s semi-erect cock, but Golden was spent. There was nothing left for him to give, no matter how good he felt now. After a few more moments, Jax seemed to understand this and withdrew, still hard.
“Why did you stop?” Golden asked, angry at the begging note in his voice.
“You’ve had enough for now,” Jax said. “Let’s get you cleaned up.”
Jax stood before pulling Golden to his feet. Shaky, he followed Jax up the stairs, leaving Colt and Linc downstairs. Jax took Golden into a masculine bedroom that appeared to be his. The room as spacious and just as nice as the rest of the house. Once they entered the ensuite, Golden saw the same attention to detail and craftsmanship. He was coaxed into a large shower, followed by Jax. The multiple jets came on a moment later, the warming water a balm to his spent body.
After a quick wash to his own body, Jax turned to Golden. Jax was silent as he began to soap Golden. Golden relaxed some, reveling in the tender caresses after what he’d just experienced. They’d hinted at much more, but an abrupt stop had brought everything to an end.
Jax hadn’t thought Golden could handle any more. Jax was wrong.
Golden tugged at the bonds still holding his arms behind his back. “Are you going to release me?”
“Nope.”
Golden frowned. “I’ve got to go home eventually.”
“Eventually you will. But I’m not done with you, as I told you earlier. I’ll let you go when I’m ready.”
“I’m here on business.”
“No, you’re here to unload that house and since you seem so adamant you’re washing your hands of the whole mess, then why bother with it when we could have a lot more fun here?”
Golden stared at the handsome man as he soaped Golden’s cock and balls. A weekend of surrender. No one expected him back until Tuesday. He could play here and walk away with no strings. A broker could sell the house as is without needing him there.
Or he could sell it to his three bears and be truly done with it.
What did he care? It would be a painful memory gone, masked with a much, much more pleasurable one. No one but these men would know Golden had succumbed, his humiliation limited to the inside of this house.
Golden knelt in the shower, looking up as water sluiced down Jax’s firm body. Eye level with Jax’s cock, Golden knew what he wanted. He sucked the tip between his lips and drew Jax to the back of his throat, all while inspecting his lover’s face. Jax’s eyes darkened with pleasure as he watched Golden working over his cock.
Jax threaded his fingers into Golden’s damp locks and tugged slightly, urging Golden to move faster. Golden obeyed, mindful of every moan, gasp, and groan. He worked to please Jax, hungry for the man’s release.
Golden felt a tie to Jax he didn’t feel to Linc and Colt. With the other two, it had been purely sexual. With Jax, there was something else, a current of promise under the sensual haze. With Jax, it was electric—every touch, every lick, and every stroke—and that energy threatened to suffocate Golden.
Jax closed his eyes as his head fell back on a groan. His hips sped, feeding Golden raw power. Jax’s body finally tensed, his back arching as he groaned, his seed shooting into Golden’s mouth. Golden drank his lover deep, swallowing as much as he could. The rest leaked from the corners of his mouth and mingled with the water rushing down his body.
When Jax was emptied, he withdrew from Golden’s mouth and pulled Golden to stand. Jax captured both sides of Golden’s head and kissed him, sharing in the essence still on Golden’s tongue.
Jax returned to washing Golden’s body for a few more minutes, cleaning off the new mess made.
“How long had you planned to stay?” Jax asked suddenly.
“I’ve got to drive home Monday.”
Jax nodded. “You’ll stay here instead.”
“Says who?”
“Says me. You’re mine for the weekend.”
Golden felt breathless again, that connection he felt to Jax threatening to engulf him.
No strings. No. Strings. There is no connection. Just hot sex.
“I do need to work next door.”
Jax’s head snapped up. “Doing what?”
Golden didn’t have an answer. He couldn’t face the memories over there. Couldn’t? More like he didn’t want to. “Fine. I’ll stay.”
Jax smiled smugly, apparently knowing he’d won the battle all too easily. “Glad that’s decided.”
Chapter Five
Jax rolled over in the early hours of the morning, reaching for his new lover. He was sore and aching in places he’d forgotten he had, but that didn’t stop him from wanting Golden again. They’d already fucked numerous times over the night, but Jax felt insatiable.
What he felt was a bunch of pillows and tangled sheets.
Cracking an eye, he glanced over at the empty spot in the bed. He lifted his head, listening to see if there were any sounds in the bathroom. Jax jumped from the bed and crossed the room, peeking into the other room.
Nothing.
He moved to one of his windows facing next door and saw his lover loading a bag into his car and jumping behind the wheel.
A wave of disappointment filled him as he watched Golden drive off in the early morning glow.
He’d been right.
Golden hadn’t been able to handle him.
Chapter Six
“Field the offer. Whatever they suggest, as long as it’s fair market value, then accept it. I don’t want the house. Once they agree to the terms, then have them sign and send the contracts over to my broker,” Golden said into his cell phone.
A little over two weeks since his little escapade with the three bears, he was ready to put it all behind him. What was troubling was his complete inability to do so. He dreamt of them, Jax especially, and what they’d done to him. He woke up, cock in han
d, masturbating to the memories of their experience.
To make matters worse, he’d gone out the previous weekend and completely struck out. Not because there hadn’t been interest, but because his confidence was shot. He no longer felt the strong, dominant male. And as soon as he eyed a guy, he compared the dude to Jax. No one had measured up.
I barely fucking know Jax! What the hell is wrong with me?
Golden hoped selling the house would be the last connection he had to Jax and his bear buddies. Once it was gone, he didn’t have to think about Jax or their encounter again.
Likely.
Golden rested his forehead on his steering wheel at the red light, knowing he wasn’t the same man anymore. Jax had changed him, and now all he wanted was Jax.
That’s what I get for being a pussy and running out before our weekend was over. I left before he was done with me. Too bad it’s too late now.
Horns honked behind him, making him snap to attention. He threw the car into gear and stomped on the gas. He hated city traffic.
The burbs had been awfully quiet.
He shook his head, willing himself to forget the day he met Jax.
Chapter Seven
I can’t believe he fucking left. And then his realtor contacts us, offering us the house, without contacting us himself?
The glass Jax had been washing shattered in his hand.
“I know it’s been a while since you wet your wick, but I don’t think I’ve seen you this wound up in a long time,” Linc said as he brushed Jax to the side. Linc began clearing away the glass and disposing of it before he took over the job of washing dishes.
“I’m not wound up. Sure, he was a good lay, but that’s all.”
Linc grunted. “I saw the way you were looking at him. There was more there than him simply being a good lay.”
Jax walked over to the stove and collected the assorted pots and pans from dinner. “I barely know him. How can one man get you twisted in that short a space of time? They can’t.”
Linc shrugged. “You might have only met him recently, but you’d already had a picture of who he was before he ever arrived.”
“Yeah. I thought he was a prick.”
“And now?” Linc asked.
Jax brought the pans over for Linc to wash. “I don’t know. I didn’t have enough time to get a true picture. Running away didn’t help.”
“Then maybe you’re just pissed you didn’t get to finish what you’d planned. If you’d gotten him out of your system, you could’ve walked away scot-free.”
Jax knew it was more than that. He’d felt the connection from the moment he’d laid eyes on Golden. He’d fought it, due to his irritation with Deloris’ grandson, but the desire he felt had been too much for him to ignore. “No, I think I’m pissed he sent his realtor to our door requesting an offer. Is he so scared he couldn’t face me?”
Why did I chase him away? I should’ve reeled it in.
“If you’re that interested, then go force him to face you.”
Jax shook his head. “I won’t go beg the fancy city attorney to come back. He had his chance.” Jax lifted the contract the realtor had dropped off. “The fact Golden had someone else do his dirty work shows he has no desire to see me again.”
“And you want to see him again?”
“Yes!” Jax shouted, angry with himself over the truth.
“Then one of you has to be the bigger man,” Linc said. “And I’m sure we overwhelmed your friend when he was here, so I can understand him not wanting to return on his own.”
Jax sighed. “Maybe he’s just a lost cause. I should wash my hands of this.”
“By buying his grandmother’s house?”
Jax stared at the contract. “You know, maybe it’s time I got my own place. I could move next door after we fixed it up.”
“Into sadomasochism now?” Linc asked with a laugh. “Go get him or get over him. Stop the moping. And you aren’t going anywhere. You belong here.”
Jax tossed the contracts onto the counter and grabbed a dish towel, drying the pans coming out of the sink. “Get over him. It’s time to move on.”
Chapter Eight
Three months later…
“My partner recently left the practice. It’s just me now,” Golden said into the receiver. Helena had abandoned him after eloping with her law clerk in Vegas. Now she’d left him with a desk full of cases he was trying to clear in her wake. “I’m sorry, I can’t take on any more cases.”
“I wasn’t calling about a case, Mr. Ashford. I’m your grandmother’s solicitor.”
What now? As soon as Golden paused to think of his grandmother, he thought about her house—more importantly, about her neighbors. A warmth filled Golden’s body still, the remembered experience still keeping him up late into the night. “Is there a problem?”
“Well, not a problem per se, but there is a piece of business we need to clear up.”
Golden dropped the file he’d been reading, his focus destroyed. “Spit it out. I don’t have time for a run-around.”
“Your grandmother apparently had a bank account and a safe deposit box we overlooked. As I was trying to tie up the last of the loose ends, we ran across the information and called you immediately.”
“How can you overlook a bank account and safe deposit box?” Cut-rate attorney does cut-rate work.
“It wasn’t her normal account, and she didn’t have it listed in her assets for her will. We noticed some odd deposit slips in her records and investigated. When we did, we found these. Since she left you everything, these are now yours.”
Another trip he didn’t have time for. One that would take him way too close to Jax. Would he be strong enough to avoid the temptation?
“I’ve already sent the necessary paperwork to the bank. All you have to do is go there and sign a few things and it’s taken care of. I’m shooting you an email now with the bank name and address, along with directions in case you need them.”
Golden felt like an asshole for calling the guy cut-rate. “Thank you. I appreciate the attention to detail.”
“Oh, you’ll truly appreciate it after you find out how much is in the account.”
Golden frowned. “How much?”
“A little over five million.”
What? Golden sat there stunned. The house she’d lived in had been in disrepair. It had been falling down around her, all while she had five million sitting in a bank? It didn’t make any sense. “I can’t take that kind of money,” he said absentmindedly, more to himself than the man on the other end.
“You sure can. She left it to you.”
Guilt hit him. He’d refused to face her. He’d left her to die alone. And she’d left him everything. He closed his eyes, knowing he couldn’t take the money.
She hadn’t been completely alone. She’d had Jax. He’d been there when Golden wasn’t, taking care of her. He deserved the money more.
“I’ll take care of it, thank you.” Golden hit the Off button and set the phone down, too stunned to do anything but let everything sink in.
He hadn’t been man enough to face his past, and now he was running from whatever he felt for Jax. It might be crazy that he’d felt such an instant connection to the man, but three months later, he couldn’t get Jax out of his mind. This wasn’t a passing interest. This wasn’t just a one-time sexual exploit. There was more to the thing between them.
He needed to face Jax.
Too much time had passed, though. What if Jax had moved on?
“Sir, this just came for you?” Golden’s secretary said from the door, an envelope in her hand. “It says Urgent.”
Isn’t everything these days? He reached out his hand, and she brought the envelope over.
“Is there anything else I can do for you, Mr. Ashford?”
Golden shook his head. “Unless you sprouted a law degree overnight, no.”
“Don’t underestimate me. I could be more help than you think,” Amanda said with a smile.
r /> Golden glanced over his desk, knowing he needed the help. Amanda had been a lifesaver over the years and was more than competent to help. Maybe it was time to give her a little more responsibility. He dug through to a large pile of Helena’s files. “Go through these and confirm everything is wrapped up. If they are, file them. If not, make notes on top and leave them for me.”
Amanda glanced at the mega-stack. “And when do you need these done?”
“Yesterday?” Golden asked with a sigh.
“I said I could be helpful, not a magician. I doubt I’ll be able to get them all done today. Mind if I take some of them home with me to work on over the weekend? If I don’t dodge out of here on time, my nightly commute is horrendous, especially on a Friday.”
Golden frowned. “Where do you live?” And how did he not know this after she’d worked for him for nearly three years?
“Out in Meadowlark. It’s a hell of a commute, but I love my neighborhood too much to give my house up.”
“You’ve driven three hours a day round trip for nearly three years and I didn’t know this?” Meadowlark was maybe thirty minutes from his grandmother’s house. Not his grandmother’s, but Jax’s house.
“I like my job, and my boss, even though he doesn’t appear to know my full worth. And like I said, I love my neighborhood.”
“I don’t know your full worth? I pay you pretty well.”
“Oh, that, of course. That’s another good reason I commute. You pay really, really well. No, I meant that I could tackle a lot more here if you’d let me. After three years here and five in your old office, I know a thing or two.”
Golden was touched that she’d enjoyed working for him enough to face that kind of commute, especially given his recent lack of confidence in himself. At least he did one thing right. “Sure, take them home. Just be careful with them as they have our clients’ personal information inside.”
“Of course, boss,” Amanda said, hefting the huge pile out to her desk.
