  “What did you say?”

  “Shit. Brady,” I whined.

He pulled completely out. Then he gave me a cocky grin because he held all the power. Well, sometimes he did.

  “What do you want?”

  “I want to come.”

  “Go on then. Make yourself.”

  “No, I want you to.”

  “But I want to watch.”

I protested. “It’s better when you do.”

“Go get your vibrator.” I stood there. “Go on.” Then he grabbed his cock and started jacking himself. Fuck. I ran to my room and got my toy.

When I got back, he was standing there with a huge boner. He loved to watch me get myself off with a vibrator shoved up my pussy. Usually he ended up going down on me as he rubbed one off because he couldn’t stand it. I imagine this was what would happen.

The vibrator was humming, and so was I. I ran it up, down, and around my slit, clit and opening. I shoved it in, pulled it out, pushed it against my G-spot, gave my clit the attention it screamed for, and as I was about to come, he stuck his finger up my puckered hole, made sure my vibrator was in my pussy, and lapped at my clit until I screamed his name and told him his tongue was worth a million dollar insurance policy. Then he came in spurts all over my belly.

Bam. Bam. Bam. Someone was at the door.

“Holy fuck. Who’s that?” he asked.

“No idea. Maybe they’ll go away.”

Bam. Bam. Bam. “Lena, open up. I know you’re home.”

  “Oh, shit. It’s Josh.”

  Brady started laughing.

“Hang on a minute.” I jumped up, ran to the kitchen to get a towel, and tossed it to Brady. Then I got dressed.

Brady was still naked, spread-eagled, on the floor.

  “Get dressed!”

“Nah, you can let him in. I don’t care.”

“At least put your pants on.” I threw them at him, and he complied. When he was decent, I opened the door.

Josh stood on the porch and said, “Lena, we need to talk. I made a terrible mistake. We need to get back together. I miss you so much.”

The door was pushed opened from behind me and Josh looked over my shoulder to see Brady standing there.

“Uh, Josh, this is Brady Wilkins. Brady, this is Josh.”

“Brady Wilkins. THE Brady Wilkins, as in the Wilkins that own Wilkins Engineering?”

Looking smug, Brady said, “Yeah, that would be me.”

Josh noted Brady’s lack of shirt, so I didn’t waste time. “Look, Josh, this is a little awkward. Brady and I are…”

“Engaged. Lena and I are getting married.”

  “Yeah. Sorry, Josh.”

“Married? But you hardly know him.”

“That’s for us to determine and not you. Anyway, have a good day.” And I shut the door.

Brady looked at me curiously. “What?”

  “Does he work for me?”

“Oh, that. Yeah, I may or may not have mentioned that.”

“Well, that’s one thing you can’t blame on ten too many.”

“No, but I’m glad ten too many landed me in bed with you.”

His lips crashed into mine and Josh was forgotten while we picked up where we left off.

  Chapter One

  Kallie

“Don’t hate me because I’m beautiful, Sis.” On my laptop screen, Dylan leans back in the kitchen chair, cracks a cocky grin, and bounces his bulging pecs.

  Gag.

“You’re so stuck on yourself it’s disgusting. I mean, do you ever wear clothes?” I put my hand over the chunk of tanned skin covering the majority of the shot, wishing I had some paper and tape handy. I love my older brother dearly, but I saw enough of his nakedness when we lived under the same roof as kids.

Dylan chuckles and stretches his arms above his head. “Ah, you’re such a prude. Do you ever not wear clothes? Wait, no. Don’t answer that.” His grin quickly turns into a scowl. “Keep doing what you’re doing, Kal.”

Oh, I plan on it. Little does Big Brother know.

Pushing up my glasses, I cut to the chase. The real reason I wanted to video chat tonight. “So, I’m taking a summer class and I’m wondering if I can crash at your apartment for a few weeks.”

On the screen, he glances away, another slow smirk spreading across his face as a masculine voice says something in the background. “No shit.” My brother laughs at whoever is speaking. “You’ll have to tell me about her later. Talking to Kallie right now.”

The male voice grows louder, but I can’t make out what it says until a face suddenly slides between my brother and his laptop.

Holy crap, those eyes. They’re like warm, glittering honey.

“Hey, Kallie,” the owner of said eyes says with a bright grin amidst a few days’ worth of stubble. Good Lord. Amazing eyes and perfect teeth? This summer conspiracy of mine grows more appealing by the second.

“Hey, yourself. You must be the new roommate.” I suppose he could be visiting, but he’s shirtless and droplets of water cling to the dark hair haphazardly sweeping across his forehead. Somehow I can’t imagine that Dylan lets friends use his shower, and my brother definitely doesn’t swing that way, so…

“Yup, I’m Jake.” He gives a wave and that gorgeous gaze seems to slide over my face and down to my upper body, which is visible on their end of the video chat. Sadly, there’s no interested sparkle, just simple observation. “Nice T-shirt.”

Huh? I glance down and my stomach tightens into an instantaneous knot. My Rainbow Bright shirt. Which makes me look like I’m twelve instead of twenty-one. “Uh…thanks. I like the colors.”

  Oh. My. Freaking. God.

Jake’s killer grin kicks up another notch before he ducks out of the shot.

All I can do is close my eyes and curse under my breath as a little part of my feminine pride shrivels up and dies. Way to make a first impression, Kallie. Just super.

Clueless to my humiliation, Dylan leans into the computer, his attention refocused. “So, what’s this about a summer class?”

Ugh. Stupid class. If I could bail for no other reason than Dylan’s incredibly attractive roommate, I’d do it. Jake is that good-looking. Unfortunately, there’s no room in this project of mine for such foolishness. I need to be in control at all times, and since my professor has already approved the venture, I have no choice but to keep it together.

“Kallie?” Dylan prompts again, and I sigh.

“If I take this class now, I can graduate a semester early.” I intentionally leave out the detai
ls of why I need to crash at his place, hoping he’ll be distracted by my nerdy aspirations. The truth would send him into a conniption.

“Oh, so you’re enrolled here at Port Washington College?”

  No, not exactly.

“Well, you know how anxious I am to start law school.” I laugh, completely avoiding the question. I don’t want to flat-out lie to him, but I can’t tell him the truth either—I don’t really need his apartment or his former college, as much as I need his college town. A place where no one will know me. “Not to mention that bunking with you would save me a few bucks.”

“I guess that’s cool. I mean, I’ll be gone for a couple of weeks at the beginning of June, but I don’t think Jake would mind you hanging out. Especially if you bake him cookies and do his laundry.”

That’s never going to happen, but I smile nonetheless, because that makes three times in as many minutes that my big brother proved exactly why I need to position myself amidst men just like him. Men are shallow pigs and I’m going to prove it.

“Are you sure Jake won’t mind?” I ask, mentally fist pumping the air. This project will be ten times easier to pull off with Dylan out of the picture.

“Jake, you mind if Kallie crashes here for a few weeks so she can take a class?”

Behind my brother, Jake cracks open a beer and dips down so I can see those captivating eyes once again. “You a cock blocker, Bright?”

  “Excuse me?”

Dylan gives a bark of laughter. “She’ll stay out of your way, trust me. In fact, she’ll probably have her nose stuck in a book the entire time.”

His roommate’s smile spreads across his disgustingly chiseled-to-perfection face. “We’ll get along just fine.”

  Wait…Bright?

What in the heck am I getting myself into?

  Jake

  One month later…

“Come on, Jake, please?” Amber sticks out her bottom lip at the same time her hand not-so-discreetly slips into my basketball shorts. The gym’s front desk clerk followed me into the locker room after my workout, just like I’ve seen her do to a dozen other guys.

“Can’t, babe. I gottaget home.” Dylan’s sister is due in town any minute now. Since Dumbass forgot to leave her a key, I have to be at the apartment to let her in.

There’s also the small, yet important detail that Dylan, for whatever reason, has it bad for Amber. I don’t need syphilis or that kind of awkward shit in my life.

“Not happening, sweetie.” I tug her fingers off my cock and drop her hand back to her side. “Sorry.”

“Oh, come on,” she whines, damn near stomping her foot like a child while I stuff my discarded work clothes into a duffel bag. I don’t debate with her; instead, I offer an I-don’t-give-a-shit smile and try to keep my cool when she follows me back into the main part of the gym like a lost puppy. “I could come over if you’d rath—”

“No,” I snap, feeling my resolve start to crack. It’s been two months since I’ve hooked up, given the move and the shit I got myself into with my other roommate. The more she begs, the more I want to say fuck it all and give in. But I need to stay in Dylan’s good graces. I don’t need to piss him off and find myself looking for yet another place to live.

My phone vibrates in my pocket and I quicken the pace to my truck. Ten bucks says it’s Kallie wondering where the hell I am. No, I don’t particularly care if she and I become friends, but I promised Dylan I’d take care of her for these two weeks and my reputation with my friends’ little sisters leaves something to be desired. I need to redeem myself and I need to do a bang-up job doing it.

I don’t answer the phone. Instead, I hurry home and take the stairs to the second-floor apartment two at a time. I cringe when I round the corner and find a dark-haired girl sitting on the floor next to my door, surrounded by a barrage of multi-colored luggage.

Her hair is twisted in a messy knot at the back of her head and—shocker—she’s reading from an honest to God book. Not on her phone or an e-reader, but an actual hardcover book. With worn corners and shit.

I lift my hand in silent greeting and she rises to her feet, mindlessly pushing those dark-framed glasses up her nose. “Wow, dude, major first impression fail.”

My instinct is to remind her of the Rainbow Bright T-shirt from a few weeks ago, but the tank top she’s got on today makes her tits look like they actually belong to a woman instead of a pre-teen, so I cut her some slack. “Sorry. I got tied up at the gym.”

“Ah, you’re one of those cross-fit freaks, huh?”

I chuckle as I unlock the door and wave her inside.

She wrinkles her nose and somehow manages to make a train out of her Technicolor luggage, tugging it into the apartment in one go. “Yeah, you look like it.”

“Look like what?” Naturally, my eyes fall to her ass as she leads the way into the living room. The fabric of her cropped leggings hugs the sweet curve of two mouthwatering cheeks and my palms begin to itch. Bet that cotton is soft as fuck.

“Like you spend too much time in front of the mirror.” She tosses a quick grin over her shoulder.

“Huh?” I frown, simultaneously confused by her statement and the fact that I’m half hard just watching her ass. The ass of a girl who wears goddamn cartoon T-shirts.

The ass of a girl who shares fucking genes with my roommate, which seems to be a chronic problem of mine, apparently.

Clueless to my internal battle, Kallie rolls her eyes and drops her big purse to the couch. “Nice place. Frankly, I’m surprised my brother lives here.”

Discreetly adjusting myself, I follow her gaze as she scans the room. “I cleaned up after he left.” Honestly, Dylan’s the sloppiest roommate I’ve ever had, but picking up after him beats sleeping in my truck, so I deal with it.

“That’s interesting.” She shoots me a raised eyebrow, followed by a slow, impressed smile.

Sure. Whatever. “You’ll be sleeping in his room.” I angle my head toward Dylan’s side of the apartment on the left. “Make yourself comfortable, but considering the amount of traffic coming in and out of that place, you might want to wash the sheets first.” She visibly cringes and I finally gain the upper hand. “Lysol’s in the bathroom,” I add with a wink.

“Thanks.” She pushes a strand of dark hair from her face, then heads down the hall with her things.

“Hey, Bright?” I call after her, chuckling when she groans at the nickname.

  “Yeah?”

“Make sure you read the note he left for you.”

  “Note?”

I smirk, remembering the piece of paper I found propped against his pillows when I went in search of my phone charger last night…

  Dear Kallie,

Don’t fuck around with my friends.

  Love, Dylan

Looking at the awkward girl standing in front of me, I’m pretty sure Dylan has nothing to worry about. Yeah, she’s got a smokin’ ass and her tits aren’t half-bad, but she’s way more book nerd than sex kitten, making her the safest kind of temptation I could have hoped for.

“Read the note. Got it.” Giving a nod, she disappears into his bedroom. I, on the other hand, grin like a fool. She isn’t the ideal candidate, but maybe, just maybe, she can help me redeem myself without even knowing she’s part of my plan.

In the meantime, I need to take off the edge, and nothing does that better than a random bar hook-up. A random hook-up who doesn’t share a single molecule of DNA with any of my buddies.

  Kallie

Don’t fuck around with my friends.

Well, Dyl, that’s going to be tough.

I sit on the edge of my brother’s bed, chewing my bottom lip. I’m relieved he isn’t here to witness what I’m about to do. He’d just get in the way, and I refuse to ruin my perfect GPA because he can’t deal with me being a grown woman.

A grown woman who, in the name of science, fully intends to use as many of his friends as possible. No, I’m not going to sleep with them, but I do hop
e to kiss at least a few of them. Maybe cop a few feels too, and see how many of their unsuspecting “little heads” I can get to want me. Every bit of success will help paint the big picture I want to showcase in my project.

God, I love my sexuality minor. Best decision I ever made.

After I unpack my things and send a quick text to Dylan letting him I know I made it, I dump his dirty clothes from a laundry basket and stuff it full of bedding instead. I spotted the laundry room off the lobby on my way in. It was empty then, but now it’s dinnertime and there’s been a lot of activity in the parking lot since.

Grinning in front of the bathroom mirror, I pull back my shoulders, plug in my curling iron, and unzip my makeup bag.

Summer school is now in session.

  Chapter Two

Forty minutes go by before I hear the shuffle of feet in the hallway outside the laundry room. Perfect timing, really, since Dylan’s sheets and comforter are almost done washing.

“Hey,” a tall blond guy with swimmer’s shoulders says as he rounds the corner, nearly tripping over his feet when he sees me.

I smile from my perch on the folding table, a strategic copy of Cosmo in hand. “Hi. Didn’t mean to startle you.”

“No, no, I just…” He drops his basket onto an empty machine, never taking his ocean blue eyes off of me. Chalk up a couple of points for a blow out and contact lenses. “I’ve never seen a chick down here before, that’s all.”

His honesty is cute. Heck, he’s cute with those long, lean muscles and flip-flops.

“Ah. Well, you’ll be seeing me around quite a bit over the next few weeks.” I hop down when the first of my washing machines stops spinning and unlatches. His laundry forgotten, Blondie’s gaze stays on me as I set down the magazine and reach over my washers to offer a polite hand. “I’m Kallie. Sister to Dylan in 2C.”
