Burn (The Burn Series, Book 1) Page 4

by Amanda Lawrence Auverigne

Despite my coldness, I can feel your mouth on mine.

At least, I think I can feel it.

  I'm sure of it.

The kiss lasts for ages and when you pull away from me your lips are glassy shiny blue.

A pale blue that you can almost see through.

  Your eyes shine like glass.

  And you are smiling.

I force my mind to remain blank.

"I'll see you later my lovely Penny," You say.

  I'll see you later, Matthew.

You move in closer and kiss my mouth quickly.

Then you move away from me. You blow me a kiss and then you turn around.

You walk away from me slowly.

  And you are leaving me.

  Again.

You are leaving me alone in this room with the room with the sound of my favorite music to keep me company.

At least the lights are still on.

  But I am alone.

Its just me and the music.

  In this big room.

  I am alone.
