Treasure of Eden Page 26

by Sherer, B. K. ; Linnea, Sharon

From B.K. I am so very grateful for the people God has brought into my life at those moments when I most needed a boost. For Peter Jones, whose “spot-on” comments for our manuscripts were equaled only by his Vidor’s Toccata on Christmas Eve. For Francis Hanner, my German “mom” and caretaker extraordinaire for Derry, how could I have gotten through the last year without you? For SGT Pamela Atayde, who has continued to serve as my chaplain assistant with zeal despite her horror at the fate of Rodriguez in Chasing Eden. For Steve Quigg and Mark Hampton, each of you helped me stay sane during trying times. For the Edens family, once again giving of time and insight to help us connect with readers. For Beth and Ben Sadd, thank you for making sure my New York house remains a warm and welcoming home. And for Carol Lopez, what a truly courageous act to brave the evil neighborhood cats just to bring me croissants. I am blessed to be able to call you and Fred my friends.

Without family I would be truly lost. To my niece Deanna, thanks for the great Italian adventure. Do you think that police officer in San Marino believed our story? To Randy and Lynda, whether we are screaming at the end of the Superbowl or silently watching deer in the snow, I know I am always at home with you. To Linda and Mark, I so appreciated the energy with which you offered input on finance and economics. Suppose I should think about buying some gold, huh?

And finally, to Sharon, who puts up with my predictably unpredictable schedule. Do you think being in the same time zone would make this coauthoring thing any easier? Let’s keep this partnership going and hope that maybe one day we can answer that question.

From both of us: Love and thanks to the gang from Springfield, Missouri: Nancy Allen, Susan Welker, Pam Smith, Will and Mary Ellen Nopper, Scott Martin, Donna Sing, and of course the Mercers–what fun to find sometimes you can go home again. Or at least return to the scene of the crime.

Most important, as always, thanks to our readers, who give us reason to write. From two simple garderners, Godspeed.
