Cinderella Nanny (Book One of The Connor's Series) Page 16

by Rita Hestand

Leann ate in a hurry and offered to drop Mike and Carlos off at school. Ray was next, as he geared up for his four-day shift. Lucas was trying to calm his nerves for his big day.

Sarah laid a hand on Lucas' arm. "Think about how much you enjoy cooking, and forget that you are doing it on television. It will all work out."

"I hope you are right. Well, I've put it off as long as I can. I've got to pick Emily up. Wish me luck."

"God speed." Sarah called over her shoulder.

Now there was only the two of them and Mitch was through eating. She was washing the dishes and he came up behind her and kissed her on the neck. She shivered.

  "I missed you last night."

"I am sorry. I was tired. Leann had a project and we were up a while. And Mike had his friend Carlos over, Leann's driving them to school this morning."

  "I guess I missed him?

"His mother picked him up early. He forgot his school clothes. She seems like a nice lady. She wants Mike to spend the night with Carlos on Friday, do you have any objections?"

"Not if you don't." He whispered, wrapping his arms around her midriff.

She finally turned around and he pulled her against him. "Didn't you miss me a little?"

  "A little…" she giggled.

She raised her head and he bent his to touch her lips. It was only supposed to be a little kiss, but from the moment their lips met, they were ensconced in each other's arms.

"Come to bed with me…" He encouraged.

"But…you have to be to work…"

"I can go in an hour late…" He suggested pulling the apron from her waist and her closer.

"Do you think this wise?" She asked looking about her.

"I guess not, I better go on in. But dammit, I sure miss you."

  "Me too…"

And that's how it went for the next two weeks. Him working late every night, and offering to go in late so they could be together.

Her refusing what she wanted so badly.

Time passed slowly for her now.

She had doubts about his love. Doubts about Claire. Mentally she was a mess.

But Leann had told her to be strong, and she was.

Mike was doing well in school and signed up for soccer, but Sarah took him to practice. Sarah picked him up from practice.

Now that he had met friends, his interest in his Auntie had diminished. She was more confused than ever. The two males in her life that she loved were never around.

What happened to the dating they were going to do?

The dinners, the movies, the art museums.

None of that was working out either.

That's why she was at her wits end when a month later he stayed after everyone left.

"We're alone, the maids aren't coming today, the chef isn't coming, and my siblings are gone. Mike is on his way to school. We have the house to ourselves, and I want you in my arms." He said in no uncertain terms.

"I thought…" She stopped. She couldn't admit what she thought.

She let him guide her to his bedroom.

He looked at her as he pulled her up beside the bed. She was wearing a cotton sundress this morning. He turned her around.

"What are you doing?" She asked with a chuckle.

"Looking for a way to take that dress off of you."

"Don't you think we should lock the door…"

"If you want it locked, we will lock it."

  She nodded.

She remembered what Leann had said about not giving in to him and she scolded herself for being so weak, but he smelled so nice, and looked so handsome in his clean white shirt and dark pants.

"Come here," he called to her from the door.

  She walked over to him.

He kissed her on the chin. "Turn around again." He said.

She turned around, her whole body trembling with desire now.

He found the zipper and undid it.

She only wore her pink teddy under the dress and he growled when he saw it.

"My God, when did you get this?"

"When we went shopping. Leann says every girl should have at least one."

"If I'd have known how beautiful you would look in one, I'd have bought you several. You know you are beautiful, don't you." He whispered as his lips caressed her shoulders.

The teddy accented her small waist and her breast strained against the thin, almost see through material.

He slid one strap down and his lips followed the line.

  "Only kisses," she whispered.

  "I want you…" he whispered.

"I know…" her breath caught when she looked him in the eyes.

"Don't you want me?" He asked, turning his head in question.

"Very much….but we have a bargain."

"I thought about you all this time, dreamed about you." He whispered, as his lips caress her shoulder. "I thought if I stayed away, I wouldn't want you as much. It only made me want you more. If that's possible."

  "Did you?"

"Hell, I could hardly keep my mind on my work any longer." He admitted as his hands circled her waist.

She drew breath and his attention was brought upward.

Her hands drifted up his chest. She slowly undid his buttons, on his shirt and then it fell open, her lips caressed him. She moved the shirt away and she kissed and laved his nipples slowly with her lips and tongue. "I think about being you all the time too. I try not to, but I can't help myself."

In one lithe movement, he pulled her teddy down, until it fell at her feet. She stepped out of it.

She was still in her shoes.

She stepped out of them too now, and then looked up into his face.

He reached down to pull the covers back on his bed and when she unbuckled his belt, and unzipped his pants, he gasped.

As she slid his briefs down, her hand wrapped around his shaft which was erect and ready for her.

He guided her onto the bed.

But he pulled the covers down so he could wrestle the softness of her breasts.

She sighed heavily as her hand went back to his shaft, and she stroked him. Her eyes met his. "You like my breasts because that is part of what makes me a woman; I like this, because it is what makes you a man."

"Are we going to play kissing games all day, or are we going to make love?" He asked, has his teeth pulled gently on her nipple.

She turned away from him then and covered herself.

"You promised me…" she reminded him softly.

He leaned to kiss her back, enjoying the silk of her tan skin. "You laid out in the sun yesterday?" He smiled against her skin as he went down her back, gently stroking and kissing her.

"Yes, with Leeann for a while." She turned back around and he leaned over her, and kissed her solidly on the mouth. Her heart was pounding so hard, she was sure he could hear or feel it.

"I'm crazy about you lady. I've never taken off work just to make love before." He sighed as he pulled her on top of him.

She raised herself on her elbows and stared into his face, her breast caressing his chest.

"I talked with her about things…" Sarah admitted.

"And did she tell you that I'm a decent guy and would never dream of hurting you in any way?" He asked, his hand going down her backside to the round mounds of her hips.

When he fitted her against him so easily, she squirmed, knowing they were very close to really making love this time.

"I love you Sarah…don't you know that…?" He admitted lowly as he kissed her wildly. "We haven't known each other long enough to feel this intense about each other. That's true, but this isn't some wild fling we are having. What we feel, comes from the heart, and you know it. I should know. I stayed away from you intentionally, wanting to see if what I felt would go away. If I could be distracted from you. I can't. I want you! I want you all the time, everywhere, and especially, now."

They rolled with each other kissing, touching loving each other.

"I hoped that. Yes. And w
hat you say is true, it does come from the heart and not just the body." She smiled. "And I do love you…but you are right, we haven't known each other that long. This could just be what you call it…a passing fancy."

"You're no passing fancy, my love." He kissed her this time with such tender regard, and yet her lips felt glued to him, as though they had already become as one.

She felt her body heat up as though readying for him. She felt the moistness between her legs and wondered. She felt her body on fire and tingling where he placed loving kisses. Her breasts puckered as the thought of being one intensified in her mind and body.

She tried to insert Leann's warning in her head. But the way he made love to her made her forget everything but loving him back.

"Kisses aren't enough….I want all of you. I want to be inside you, deep inside you…." He whispered in her ear as his tongue shot inside, and a new thrill ran through her.

"I want it as bad as you…but…I cannot." She rose up over him, sitting on his stomach, feeling his shaft caress her.

He rose up a bit, and her hips nearly joined to him. "Dammit, I love you. I want you. I want to make you mine."

She slipped off of him. "Not this way my love. You promised."

"Your kisses, your body…everything about you screams for me to take you. Why won't you let it happen?"

She turned to stare at him. "It might be enough for you. But not for me. I need to know if you are the right man, for me."

"Then….maybe this will make you see…" He said and presented her with a ring. He was on one knee on the floor now. Naked and proposing. "Marry me, Sarah. I am the right man. And I think you've known it all along."

She looked at the ring, and then him. Her eyes widened.

"Please…God, honey, don't you realize how much I love you, yet? Can't you feel it?" He confessed.

He slipped the ring onto her finger and she stared at it wordlessly.

"Yes!" She nearly screamed…looking down into his sincere face. "Yes I can. I want you just as badly."

He picked her up and laid her on the bed once more.

She went into his arms and melted against him.

He began kissing her once more, and she was already over the top for him now. He had asked her to marry and everything was going to be all right. She rejoiced for now they could love freely.

She rolled over and looked up into his eyes, "Make me yours, now…" She cried. "I don't want to wait any longer."

"Oh baby, you don't know how much I wanted you to say that." He whispered. His lips trailed over her, stopping at her nipples and kissing them until they were swollen and raw.

She felt the wet between her legs when his head spread them wide and he kissed her there in the dark folds of her love nest. She moaned raggedly from the sensations he evoked. This had to be true love, nothing could be so intense.

She moved herself toward him as he continued to touch the tips of her breasts with one warm hand. His thumb flicked gently against her there. She sighed aloud.

Drawing her to the edge of an explosive climax, he eased up temporarily. Then slowly he began to rebuild the fire. Impatience drove her to the brink of desire when suddenly he entered her, edging his way past the last barrier. She made no sound of disproval or pain, but sought him out. When he moved inside of her gently at first, then more rigorous. Her body squeezed him to her as if to hold him there forever. He smiled. "Did I hurt you," he whispered.

"No, my love…go deeper inside me." She begged." Please..."

Her warm body naturally welcomed him as he began to slide himself inside the moist heat of her body. Feeling her muscles contract around him he delighted when she began moving freely. An exquisite, throbbing, wave of pleasure made her gasp from the sweetest of agonies.

Their bodies were like free flowing lava, melting into each other as they collapsed in total contentment. A quiet peace surrounded them for long moments afterwards.

  "Now you're not a virgin, but…you're mine."

They slept peacefully cradled in each other's arms.

Roused by her warm body, stirring against him, he lifted himself and leaned into her as his eyes lingered on her bare dusky breasts amazed at their beauty. His hands massaged them, worked them, kissed them, and loved them. He buried his face in her cleavage and smiled. He ran the palms of his hands over the tips of her nipples, like a large feather. Sensations washed through her like tidal waves rippling over water.

She stretched herself erotically against the softness of the bed, and smiled as she saw the intimate caress of his gaze. Knowing the pleasure, and welcoming it again. She mindlessly indulged in the ecstasy he created.

"I want you again," She whispered shocked by her own boldness. "Am I a hussy?"

"You're mine, that's what you are." He smiled. "Maybe I won't go to work at all today…"

"That is a very good idea. You have made me a wonton woman."

"You'll be sore tomorrow, my love…."

"It doesn't matter, pleasure outweighs pain…" She cried and he obliged. "The soreness will only remind me of our coming together."

After making love all morning, they got up, had a quick lunch and got dressed to go get Mike.

"Should we tell him the good news?" She asked.

"Of course, I want everyone to know…" He kissed her again as she was dressing.

"No more of that, or I won't get dressed at all."

  "Any regrets?" He asked.

She turned to look him in the eye. "Not a one. I don't know what I was so afraid of…"

  "You're not afraid now?"

"No…as long as you love me."

  "Will forever be too long?"

She smiled. "You spoil me. You turn me on with your words, even."

"You haven't seen anything yet." He smiled and ravaged her lips once more.

She looked at the ring. "This is beautiful, but it must have cost a fortune. I do not need a fortune on my finger to tell me you love me."

"Don't worry, we can afford it."

The way he included her made her feel very secure with his proposal.

"Tonight, let's take a bubble bath after everyone goes to bed." He suggested.

She smiled…"It's a date…" she whispered playfully as she kissed him again. "I can hardly wait."

When they picked Mike up Mitch suggested ice cream. Mike was excited.

Licking his chocolate almond and butter pecan cone, Mike watched his father freely kiss Sarah.

"Mike," Mitch turned to him suddenly. "Your Aunt and I are going to be married."

"Really, you love her?" He asked big eyed.

"Very much." Mitch smiled at him. "Is that alright?"

"Si…that will make us a family. Right?"

"That's right. Do you like that idea."

"Very much." He got up and wiped his mouth, then hugged Sarah and then his father. "I have been praying for this to happen."

  Mitch looked shocked. "You have?"

"Si. The two I love most in the world are going to be my family. Si, I prayed every night."

Sarah smiled at him, "I guess God heard your prayers my love."

"I can't wait to tell Carlos. He will be so happy for me."

Sarah felt like she was walking around in a dream herself. It bothered her some that they had not been together that long, that he might change his mind, but she loved his so much, she couldn't worry over those things.

Her own dreams had come true.

Still…it niggled in the back of her mind that she should have waited a while longer to consummate a marriage that hadn't taken place yet. But she would trust in the Lord that all would come right.

  Chapter Twenty-One

"You are kidding me. You're engaged…to her?" Claire boomed that evening as Mitch announced to everyone at the company of his coming matrimony. "My God, she's so common. Now I know why you broke up with me. I hope she isn't just some whim…"

"No…I'm not kidding. We are getting married." He said. "And you are wrong Claire; she's not
at all common. She's the most exotic thing I've ever known."

"Have you given any thought to the fact that she might just want your money?" Claire asked raising a brow at him.

"Never entered my mind. She doesn't want my money now. I haven't spent half as much on her as I did on you."

"You haven't known her long enough." Claire frowned. "As I recall I never ask you for anything. I don't need your money."

"No, that's true. But you did expect it."

"When?" Claire bowed her head as though her feelings were hurt.

  "When what?"

  "When are you getting married?"

"We haven't set a date, but soon. I don’t' want to wait." He felt exhilarated that he could tell everyone.

"But, you've only known this woman a short while…"

"I know that, Claire. But I love her. Love doesn't always have a time schedule."

"You've obviously lost your mind." Claire huffed and walked off.

"I guess I have. And if so, I hope I never find it again." He laughed at her departure.

All the men gathered around him and congratulated him.

"I've finally got a family…" He smiled at everyone.

"Most men don't want a readymade family, but you jumped right in there, didn't you?" Niles shook his hand.

"It's perfect Niles, and I’m so happy I could burst."

Niles nodded but when the others got back to work he approached him.

"I see there's a question in your eyes."

"This isn't some kind of transference is it?"

  "What do you mean?"

"Maria…" He offered. "Her being her sister, I just wondered."

"No…my feelings for Maria were real at the time. But it was an impossible relationship, one we both knew wouldn't work. But with Sarah, it is different. I promise you it isn't a rebound for Maria. In fact, I think Maria would be the first to congratulate me, if she could." Mitch motioned for Niles to sit down. "Don't you approve?"

Niles smiled something he rarely did. "Of course I do. I haven't seen you this happy…in years."

"I am happy. I have a wonderful son, a beautiful wife-to-be and we will soon be a real family. It's what I've always wanted."
